    Mark and team did a fantastic job helping us replace our old kitchen. We were working with a Smithsonian worthy 50s style kitchen that barely worked and we now have a modernized and beautiful kitchen I can be proud to cook in and host people with. Jason, who managed most of the on-site work, was awesome to work with and asked me every step of the way to confirm we had everything in order and to our vision. Everyone that they brought in to do separate work was a pleasure to have and work with as well from the painter Ryan to the plumbers and electricians. One downside is that we went over budget but with prices being high everywhere and more work needed to get up to code, but this was no fault of the team and they did their best to work with us to keep our costs down everywhere it was possible. We will absolutely look to the team at Bunker for all the dream home projects we have planned in the future!

    We engaged Bunker Building to replace old pressure-treated railings on the porches of one of our condo buildings. Our project is now complete and we are very pleased with the outcome. It freshens-up the complex substantially; the white composite looks like it always should have been there. The workmanship was great; the crew was thorough and very pleasant to work with. Our second positive experience with Bunker Building.

    Over the past 3 years I’ve hired a carpenter, a locksmith, and a handyman to fix 2 sets of French doors that don’t lock or close securely. In less than an hour, Mark fixed the problems with each door, explained the problems with each, and showed me exactly what he did to fix them. He was punctual, professional, and left each area cleaner when he left than it was when he arrived. I wish I was able to give him more than 5 stars!

    Looking to accommodate a new larger TV, and slightly modernize our family room with a lower profile linear fireplace so the screen would better balance above it, I am so glad we were able to partner with Bunker Building & Remodeling for this room transformation. What started as just an idea, rough measurements, and a sketch; through perfect communication with Mark and his most excellent craftsmen, the idea came to life and the detail and decisions could not have been better. The result was a complete new, modern clean look while incorporating the transitional style that was already in place within the room. The old traditional fireplace was removed, tile and trim eliminated, new flooring, new fireplace installation into a slight niche, and all new custom trim perfectly integrating into the adjacent cabinets/shelves really leveled up the space while looking like it was the original build. So much thanks to Mark and his team for having such a professional and excellent remodel in my home. Heres a pic of the before and after.

    The word that comes to mind is partnership. BB&R remodeled our kitchen and adjacent 3/4 bath. This kind of project is inherently disruptive and stressful for the homeowner - its unavoidable. But Mark and his team (Jason was our excellent site manager and is a talented finish carpenter) are so friendly and professional and were respectful of our space, managing dust as much as possible, cleaning up after themselves, and checking in when needed about logistics or addressing the puzzles and problems that inevitably come up. Their usual response was well figure something out - and they did! Sometimes that involved brainstorming together with us and subs during which they were receptive to our concerns and ideas. Other times I swear they must have waved a magic wand and got the problem fixed when we werent looking. Ultimately they have the skills, artistry, attitude, and expertise we needed to get our project done. They were a pleasure to work with. Weve had a number of projects done over many years of homeownership (all older homes with many quirks and previous improvements) and have worked with a lot of contractors, some great, some not so much. BB&R are the best. Mark, please dont retire soon, we have more to do!!

    Mark & Jason arrived on time gracefully introduced themselves and immediately proceeded to fix the window sill on the Anderson window. Apparently, the wood below vinyl had rotted out something they had never experienced. So what we hoped to be a quick fix changed to what could have been a major repair quite costly vs an easy solution. Mark suggested to leave as is, and keep the 2 front windows closed. Yes, I agreed without hesitation. Mark was disappointed there was no easy solution and apologized. I reassured him it was the right decision and I am extremely satisfied.What an incredible person and man of integrity! You can be sure Bunker Bldr will be the first folks I call for future, if any projects.They are the best!

    Bunker Building and Remodeling is a first-class organization. I would give them more than 100 stars if I could! They squeezed us into their schedule to renovate our kitchen shortly before Christmas and with very short notice because of problems with the original contractor we had set up to do the job. They were more than accommodating despite juggling a lot of projects at that time. Every time they came they were not just professional, friendly and customer-focused, but they were a pleasure to have around! They would always make sure that things were just right and we were happy, even if it meant coming back to fix something on off hours. Mark Bunker would make himself available weekends, nights, etc to address any concerns or questions we had. He would schedule calls with us as often as needed, or in person visits to just see how we were feeling about the project and talk about next steps. Invoicing was transparent and reasonable, especially given that all the work was truly top-notch. We are absolutely delighted with the kitchen - the cabinets, electrical, floor refinishing, painting, etc! I would highly recommend Bunker Building and Remodeling and in fact, already have other projects in mind for them to come back! Thank you Bunker Building and Remodeling for doing stellar work, always putting the client first, and for making what could otherwise be a stressful experience that much better!

    I hired Bunker Building to convert a window into a door to create a second egress for the apartment above my garage. They did great work!! They were responsive and quickly answered all my questions. They completed the work on time and stayed in contact until the other parts of the project for which they were not responsible were completed. GREAT company, and I would definitely recommend them.

    Mark and his BBR team recently completed a major renovation on our 100+ year old bungalow and we are completely satisfied with their work.Every crew member, sub-contractor, and administrator proved themselves to be knowledgeable, thorough, and reliable for the duration of our contract.They were amply prepared for the challenges encountered along the way, such as: matching old moldings, taming wonky floors and ceilings and adapting a tight and awkward space into a full bathroom. We were relieved that BBR had the experience necessary to find elegant solutions for each one of these obstacles and more.We love our new home and our time spent with Mark and his team.     We could not be anymore thrilled with the job done by the Bunker Building & Remodeling team. The project was not an easy one. We were adding a second and third floor to a house that had been expanded several times already, with the original foundation being 100+ years old. On top of the structural challenges, the work was being done amidst materials shortages and supply chain challenges. Everyone tells you to add several weeks or months to the expected completion of your project, and Im happy to say that the team finished this huge project on time, as promised. Whenever we ran into unexpected challenges, Mark and Mike were quick to communicate what was going on and how we could stay on track. The quality of the workmanship was meticulous, with no one ever taking a short cut. The crew was always on time and cramming in a very full work day. More times than I could count Mike would show up early on a Sunday morning to check on the house after we had a heavy rainfall. They were so dedicated and we could feel how much they cared about our home. Even our neighbors noticed and commented on how the guys were always there and working, never late and always busy. Even more, we really felt like the crew became like family. We genuinely loved all the guys and it was such a joy to see them every day. Not only was the Bunker crew fantastic, but all their subcontractors were a joy to work with too. Everyone was punctual, keeping the project on track, and just genuinely kind people who were a joy to have around. Its almost hard to remember what the house was like before the renovation because they integrated the old with the new so beautifully which is not easy to do - especially for a home that has had multiple renovations over the years. We feel so lucky to have had this tremendous team build our forever home!

    My wife and I live in a house that is nearly 150 years old; I asked Mark and the Bunker team to do extensive remodeling (heat/AC, plumbing, electric, removing walls, etc.). Throughout the process we had a lot of questions and they were always responsive. It really helped having Michelle monitoring/responding to emails daily. Years later we love living in our remodeled home and still turn to the Bunker team for help and advice.

    We bought a 2nd home in NH and had Mark of Bunker Building & Remodeling come to do some up-grades. They were very accommodating and supportive to our needs, large & small. They added 4 cabinets to 2 bathrooms, oversaw a new shower door and kitchen sink and did an awesome job removing carpet and installing a hardwood stairway.Mark and his crew were a pleasure to deal with, friendly and professional. The house was left in pristine condition when they were done.We would highly recommend them and will give them a call for additional upgrades.

    When we decided to update our master bathroom shower we called three different local companies. At the end of the day, Bunker Building came up on top since they had a more personable vibe and better value. I respect Mark & Melissa Bunker for their upfront candor with respect to customer expectation management and small business friendliness. They have a tiling person who did a fantastic job as seen in the pic. For the price, were overall pleased. Only caveats are that youre not going to get a project manager or styling consultant that will hold your hand on what fixtures or tiles that would look best for you. We were able to forego those Nice to Haves, but communication was a bit of a challenge at times. I found myself having to oversee a bit and that thankfully thwarted some inter-company oversights. They work with other companies (Plumber, Glass door, etc.). Not too much of a hassle especially if youre working from home, but something noted. Were very pleased though! Thanks Mark!

    Bunker Building and Remodeling did excellent work, they were highly professional, responsive and timely. I felt well taken care of. I am very pleased with the work they did installing a modern door in an antique house. From the first visit it was clear they knew what they were doing, and the end result was perfect. They were very responsive to any inquiries I had - answering me back within the day, this is so rare these days. I highly recommend them, youll be happy if you use them for your project.

    Bunker Building and Remodeling did our patio, outside stairs, reinforced the posts that secure our enclosed deck, replaced patio door and basement door. The quality of work was excellent. Mark was responsive to any questions and his team of professional workers were great! I would highly recommend them for any of our home improvement projects!

    Mark gave us a consultation over the phone at no charge. He was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. He made sure he explained everything clearly and concisely and took the time to make sure we were 100% comfortable with the information he provided us. He also did not use any pushy sales techniques or try to force us into an expensive in-home consultation. The issue we had didnt require that and he was very up front about not wanting to charge us for no reason. I cant wait to work with them on our next remodeling project.

    Mark and his crew did my stairs and cleaned up a mess I got myself into by hiring a handyman. I hired a handyman to do over my stairs/railings with red oak, long story short, they ended up being not up to code and needed to be redone. Mark was able to correct a bad situation and my stairs are beautiful. Lesson learned, there is a huge difference between a handyman and a professional. Mark and his crew are professionals and their workmanship shows. I highly recommend Bunker Building for your next project, dont risk chasing a low price from someone that seems legit. Thanks Bunker building, we will be repeat customers for sure!!!!

    I highly recommend Bunker Building & Remodeling. We hired BBR to fix a leak in a window above the doors on the back of our house. The Bunker team arrived on the promised day and time and got right to work. Unfortunately, as they got further into the project, they found significant wood rot both inside and outside.Marks team showed us the additional damage and explained in detail why it happened and what it would take to fix it. We agreed to a new schedule since the scope had expanded. The BBR team took great care to protect both the inside and outside of the property so as to not damage the deck, doors, or inside walls and ceiling. They cleaned up at the end of every day. They were also very kind to our dog and cat and made sure access to the outside was secure so they could not escape.We are very pleased with the end result and will be using Bunker Building & Remodeling for future projects.

    Mark & team installed a new exterior front door and storm door for me. Mike & Kevin did the work. They had to change out the door frame and some framing around the outside of the door. They did a great job with the installation, but also with protecting the interior of my home from the dust and debris. They cleaned up at the end of the job and even put new address numbers on my house! They were a pleasure to work with and clearly communicated every step of the way. Thanks for a job well done! Mark came highly recommended from Steve Reid at Jackson Lumber which is where I purchased both doors.     Had a failed old exterior door that needed replacement. Contacted my usual contractor to find terminally ill. Got Mark through a friend. Responded immediately. Door and rotten threshold replaced on time, on budget on 24 degree day. Work area walled off with thick drapes and we were warm during the 5 hours this took. Got email and text day before confirming agreed upon time of arrival. None of that see you on Tuesday stuff and when they dont show, they meant a Tuesday two months from now. The men who did the work were professional, polite , and skilled. Clean up job was meticulous. Door looks great and toasty warmWill be planning more renovations in the future.
