    Dan and Jonathan were simply the best! Very nice people and extremely helpful. They both helped with moving books and a bookcase (and moving it back) in order to get to an outlet to access the power in it for the external outlet that my wife and I wanted to have installed. I was very impressed with both Danā€™s and Jonathanā€™s creative solution to provide power to an external outlet that made it so that no cutting was required on the inside of the house; all the while using existing circuits so that no additional breakers, cables, or permits needed to be pulled. In the end, the work looked fantastic ! Finally, they were so careful in their cleanup, it looked like they had never been here in the first place! Absolutely we will use Magothy Electric for any future projects!

    We had an electrical issue on Christmas Eve and Amber and Becky were so helpful and responsive with scheduling an emergency service call. They were able to dispatch Dan and Dominic to our household within an hour, and our issue was addressed quickly and efficiently. Everyone involved was so helpful and friendly and the work was done quickly. We couldnt have asked for a better experience! 100% would recommend and would use again!

    Excellent service from beginning to end. Professional and courteous.I was impressed by every interaction I had with this company. I spoke to a representative over the phone to schedule the initial appointment. After the techs came out to give me an estimate on the work I wanted done, I called back to ask a few more questions that I forgot to ask. The rep (Becky) seemed happy and eager to get me the right answers and also remembered me from the previous times I called. Both times the techs came out (for estimate and actual work) they were extremely professional. They finished the work surprisingly fast. And my wife and I are extremely satisfied with the results and find ourselves turning off and on our new recessed lights for no reason. Itā€™s small but one thing that stood out to me about the techs is that they put on shoe protector the moment they walk into the house. I even noticed them taking them off every time they went out into the garage or my unfinished basement and putting them back on the moment they walked back inside. Itā€™s a small thing but shows the attention to detail.I got an estimate from another company in the area but felt overwhelmed and pressured into getting unnecessary work done. I did not feel that way from this company. Also the other company was offering to do less work (I felt cutting corners) for more money. Iā€™m happy we went with Magothy.

    We hired Magothy Electric to return for additional work.My wife and I struggled with the placement of recessed lighting on our cathedral ceilings. Dan from Magothy once again took on the challenge and presented an action plan.The result is Dan was correct and the lighting is perfect.I read another review which stated every step from the initial contact, to adjusting the bid, to installation was stress free and refreshing.I never once questioned the process and I highly recommend Magothy to meet all of your electrical needs.

    Great service all around. Becky quickly set up our appointment time and even moved our appointment up to have our light issue fixed.     Magothy Electric is an excellent company! They offer a wide variety of services for reasonable prices.     Wil C. and Jonathan were excellent electricians. We were looking to running additional ethernet cables and troubleshooting buzzing light fixtures. They were honest about the work required to add cables and while we didnt end up doing that part of the work, they did offer multiple possible solutions. They did diagnose the buzzing lights and found faulty switches which they replaced. They were both respectful to our home space and wore protective boots for the floor and used drop cloths to catch any debris. I would highly recommend Magothy Electric for residential services. The office staff was excellent as well and setting up the appointment was easy.

    Had a great first experience with Magothy Electric. After another local company I have used before rescheduled last minute, I reached out to Magothy Electric to see if they had availability to address our kitchen lights being out (pretty inconvenient cooking in the dark).     Had a battery generator project that I wanted to get completed and sourced several quotes. Magothy was the first to respond and to send someone out. Their quote was a bit pricey at the time but after comparing to the other bids, not by much. I was able to work with Becky on the pricing and was able to get the price down some and gained some benefits of doing so!After waiting for all the quotes to come in, I went past the deadline for the quote Magothy gave me but they were still interested to move forward with it!So the reason I landed on Magothy was solely due to Magothys reps, Dylan and his helper (I wish I could remember the guys name). Those two helped start the game plan that was later used for the install.What I was asking to be installed was new to every bidder, (Smart Home Panel 2) so it was awesome that Magothy wasnt afraid of the challenge and was way more eager than any of the other bidders. Which was surprising because one of the bids were the same electricians that did my electric tankless water heater.With all that said Braden was sent to tackle the job and he was extremely professional and personable. He was able to explain to me the intricate parts of why stuff needed to be corrected and protected. The install went smoothly, however by the time he was done the job it was late. I was sure he was going to be like duces but stuck it out!We attempted to test the system out, but of course I dropped the ball on the system updates. (I could have sworn I had updated the thing!) Once all that was sorted we were able to see the system work, and work seamlessly. But the part that made me feel even better about the work was the fact that he wanted it to work as badly as I did and stayed until it worked. That kinda dedication to your craft is how I operate and its refreshing to see it in another person.So from me, this experience was worth the wait and worth the cake.     This is not the first time Ive used Magothy Electric... but here I go. Ive met the owner Rodney many years back for another project and could tell he was building a great company, and i just had to reach out again. We recently had a security scare around my house regarding a suspicious individual which involved the Sheriffs office and cops, I contacted Magothy about installing motion sensing lights. On the following day after the incident, I was greeted by his team Grant and Isaac. And received a very competitive pricing free of charge. Their pricing was very reasonable and they came back on a follow up visit. The electricians were Isaac (previous visited) and Dan (new guy but extremely knowledgeable). They quickly got to work on the front and sides of the house on installing the motion sensing lights. They needed access indoors but were very courteous and cleaned the area spotless after completing each installation, so they were very professional and considerate of our needs. We were extremely pleased with the results and now the outside of our house is brighter at night because the lights that they gave us has an always-on LED lamp but when motion is detected additional auxiliary lights go on, and it really brightens up the area like the fields at a stadium. We are forever grateful to their service and wanted to pass along this review so that others can experience the good that we experienced from them.

    This company is top notch!! Our service men, Isaac and Grant, were both extremely courteous and professional. They gave us a window of time to expect their arrival, and called when they were actually on their way. We had to have our breaker box replaced along with a few other electrical things. These guys did it all with excellence! One thing I especially appreciated was how thoroughly they explained everything to me - all the work they did, what I should expect, what to look out for. They cleaned up after themselves and even offered ro helped me move things back in place around my house (i had cleared a path for them to work).     We are beyond happy with the outstanding work Magothy Electric provided. Wil, our service expert, pointed out just how severe the electrical damage was in our home. We initially reached out for only a handful of outlets that were causing problems. After an inspection, Wil showed us, first hand, just how much damage our old aluminium wiring was causing, the wiring was burned in every outlet beyond the ones we initially believed were the problem. We were also shown the other electrical problems within the house that needed fixing. Magothy Electric was able to convert our entire home in less than a weeks time. They were able to replace every outlet, light switch and ceiling fixture, and updated our main breaker box. Payment options were fair and loan options were readily available, easy to navigate, and now we can sleep easier knowing our outlets, and the house along with it, wont catch fire in our sleep!

They got things done quickly, cleaned up and took away the old ceiling fan that we had them replace.     I called Magothy Electric and immediately got scheduled the very next morning. The electricians (Dan L and I didnā€™t get a chance to get the other guys name) arrived right on time at 8 AM promptly gave me a quote for the service within the first few minutes which I found to be fairly priced. They finished the job (replacing a junction box that was placed in a small location in our 1950s house and was not up to new code and ended up shorting out they finished the job by running new cable to it) all in all it was very quick and the electricians were very nice and I was able to install a new fan/light fixture using the provided installation which is now working perfectly. Small price to pay to know your family now has proper wiring. Now if only I had the money to have the whole house rewired!

    Magothy came out same day to add an outlet for a dishwasher. Old dishwasher was hardwired and we didnt realize new one had a plug that needed to an outlet until day of installation. Luckily, Magothy had a cancellation so they were able to update so installation of dishwasher could be finished on the same day. Dylan was professional and nice to work with.

    Finally! An electrical company I can trust.I had a faulty outlet on a GFCI and needed some troubleshooting and repair beyond my skill level. Magothy Electric delivered with impressive results, clear upfront pricing, and expert service. From the moment of my initial appointment call to the completed repair, I was kept in the loop, given a reasonable quote, and allowed to watch and ask questions along the way. The day of service, Dylan and Will showed up to my house, background checked and with a fully stocked truck. They listened to my concerns and then reduced my quote based off the work I had already done. They troubleshot and resolved the issue in under an hour, cleaned up and even put back on all the outlets covers, breaker panel covers, and wall plates that were removed before they arrived. Aditionally, they noticed the outlet in my garage was not tamper resistant (child proof) and upgraded it free of charge. Will and Dylan were clean and friendly (smoke free), wore boot covers, and used tarps in the work areas. After using more than a few electical companies over the past 25 years, Magothy is the first to make me feel like I got a value for the service performed. They also provided me a military discount which was appreciated.

    I had a very pleasant experience this afternoon with Magothy Electric. They sent out Dan L. and Isaac within a few hours of contacting their office to get a technician out. I received a call 45 min prior to their arrival as requested so I could leave work and meet them on time. They also sent a text with my technicians picture, years of experience, and general information to prepare me for whom I should expect to show up at my door. When Dan and Issac arrived they were professional, thorough and courteous. Unfortunately this repair was due to an incompetent HVAC technician whose negligent actions caused me to spend unnecessary money on repairs. Dan found the most affordable and easiest solution to my problem. I will definitely rely on Magothy Electric and team for my future needs.
