    ThermPro Heating and Cooling just installed two new furnaces and air conditioning condensers for us. Their pricing was very competitive and their install went perfectly! Erik’s team were here per the appointment time and were totally professional. What I thought was above and beyond was his ability to explain everything in a way my wife and I could understand. We could not be happier and if there were 10 stars to give - ThermoPro would get !!

    Erik was very responsive, friendly, and tried hard to keep his price down for us. Our gas heater wouldn’t fire after being off all winter, when we went to turn it back on again. He was very prompt in coming out, and actually was earlier than promised. Definitely will call him again in the future and will recommend him to anyone.

    Hired ThermPro to install AprilAire 700 model with external temperature sensor. Erik did an excellent job. Good communication from initial appointment set up with subsequent reminder. The unit came with plastic water feed tube and Erik recommended copper tubing. All the feed and drain lines were neatly installed. The sensor was tucked inside the air conditioner so it can accurately sense the outside temperature. Erik cleaned up the area after installation is completed. Very happy with the work Erik did

    Ive dealt with a ton of HVAC companies over the years and I have to say Erik at ThermPro is by FAR the most thorough and competent tech Ive encountered. For the better part of 20 years Ive done all of my own work on all systems of my properties due to lack of contractor competence and pride in work. In this case the city required me to have a licensed HVAC business come out to inspect the unit and Im very glad that I did int his case. I choose Erik based on his responsiveness and the answers to my questions. Unfortunately for me, the tenant at this property has not replaced the air filter in the furnace once in over 5 years (My fault for assuming they did I suppose) and it led to quite the nasty situation. When Erik came out, not only did he thoroughly disassemble and clean the furnace and provided detailed updates/pics via text (see before/after pics), he tested combustion efficiency, he used a borescope to inspect the heat exchanger, he checked blower motor current draw (Can indicate a blower motor on its way out), tested capacitor capacity and discovered (and resolved) an issue w/ the unit short cycling due to the A coil being caked in dirt/dust. He then pulled the plenum cover off and thoroughly cleaned the disgusting coil. We are very fortunate to have had someone as competent as ThermPro come out and look at this as I feel if this furnace continued in this state I would be looking for a new one for this property in the next year or two. Basically he did a ton of things most places should do but wont and dont do. I have HIGH expectations for quality work and Erik did exceed these. I forgot to mention his price was also VERY reasonable for the work he performed. Ill just let the pictures speak for themselves.

    Erik Koster, owner of ThermPro is amazing! He was hoping he could fix my furnace issue with a cleaning, however, he found cracks in the heat exchanger with his thorough inspection. Thank goodness he did! He is honest, straightforward and very knowledgeable . Erik takes the time to explain things in a clear and reassuring way! He was able to install my new furnace the next day at a very reasonable price! I can’t recommend him enough!

    Erik at ThermPro was incredibly professional and conducted himself with the upmost respect for my time and residence. His response was prompt, quoting process was incredibly easy and straightforward. Gave me many options and spoke with me about which each one meant. Ended up going to with a better unit than originally planned for, but it wasn’t an upsell. It was about what my budget was and intentions for the house. I appreciate that. Overall would highly recommend and will be having him and his company service all my HVAC needs.

    Erik was awesome. I called him when our furnace broke down and he came over 30 min later to take a look. He explained the issue and got everything up and running quickly and for a very reasonable price. Will be working with him again in the future for sure

    Recently had ThermPro work on Aprilaire humidifier rebuild.Erik was excellent in communication before, during and after the service. He was able to come next morning after I made contact with him! Labor rate was fair and appropriate for McHenry Co. area, not like some other companies that charge Cook Co. or Chicago rates. I would highly recommend for all HVAC work.
