Alex was great to work with. I called him, he came out a day or two later and scoped out the project. He emailed the proposal later that night. We hashed out a few details and came to an agreement.I made the initial payment to Alex, used to buy the materials that have a long lead time and also to start the work for permitting the changes. The permit applications were submitted a day or two later, and then we waited ~6 weeks for another company to get our power disconnected so Alex and his teammate could rewire everything from the street to a new panel.Alex was a great communicator. For example, on Thursday he predicted that our power would be restored on Friday at 1:30pm. I asked him to text me at 10:30am on Friday with an updated estimate. He texted me at 10:28am with the update.Ultimately, the bulk of the work was upgrading us from 100A service to 200A service, including:•⁠ ⁠Running new service wires from the power lines to our house.•⁠ ⁠Installing a new mast, to receive the new wires from the power lines•⁠ ⁠Installing new grounding rods, and routing them appropriately•⁠ ⁠A new meter, and outdoor panel with service disconnect•⁠ ⁠A new panel•⁠ ⁠A new car charger outlet•⁠ ⁠2 new 120v outlets, interior and exterior
