We were overall pleased with our job with Image Painting - we had extensive wall damage on two levels due to a roof leak, so we needed repairs and repainting in several areas in our home. Image’s quote came in very fair (and very fast) and they were very prompt to schedule us in, despite it being high season. They had a paint crew come in that were subcontracted but a project manager came by every day to oversee the work and check with us on the progress.After the crew did their first round of patches and painting to our damaged walls, we had some areas that were unsatisfactory to us. They redid everything with no hassle until we were happy, and even touched up some areas that just looked off due to the repairs, even though they were outside the scope of the work. Overall, we were really happy with everything and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Image to anyone in DC.

Image Painting brought a crew of 3-4 people over 3 days to complete a variety of inside and outside home improvement tasks.The external tasks on our house included cleaning aluminum-clad window frames, doors, and gutters, painting wooden door frames, shutters, and garage door and frame, power-washing windows, storm doors, and moss from the brick chimney and adjoining roof shingles, and shed roof shingles. Rebuilding outdoor equipment shed wood framing members, replacing door hinge, adding additional wood framing where needed to improve appearance, caulking and painting entire shed. Repairing section of external front door framing. Inside the house, removing laundry room wallpaper, repairing large holes in wallboard, painting laundry room walls, doors and door frames. Repairing and repainting sections of bathroom wallboard and recaulking shower and bathtubs.All these activities were well-supervised by a very talented crew chief and everyone on the crew was polite, courteous, hard-working, and professional. I was amazed that these tasks could be completed in such a short period of time.I was also impressed with working with the project proposal person in carefully crafting all the details of the work to be performed.During the 3 days of work, there was constant communication with the crew chief to clarify tasks and report on progress related to the work plan. At the end of each day the crew chief reviewed the task completion on that day as documented on a daily work sheet. There was also daily visits and phone calls by the project manager to ensure that I was happy with the crew, progress and work completion.I would not hesitate to recommend Image Painting to future customers.

Image Painting did a wonderful job with painting the exterior of our house new colors, fixed a few issues in the siding, as well as a few smaller jobs inside the house. The scope of work was detailed and Andrew (owner)/Jankeh (project manager) were very responsive with requested adjustments. Linda did a fabulous job on the color consultation and would highly recommend her approach of in-person consultations as you can better understand how the color will appear vs. online consultations. The painting crew led by Grevy checked in with us often on paint color, finish, and progress - this proved extremely important as there were some details that needed to be reviewed between color consultant and painters. The project manager Jankeh also stopped in a few times to check progress and see if I had questions or concerns. The paint job was done during an extremely hot period during the summer so there was some understandable delay, but the team finished close to the target window. Ultimately, every person on the team that helped complete this beautiful exterior paint job provided excellent, knowledgeable and friendly service. I would use Image Painting again.

I highly recommend using Image Painting. I received a few quotes for an exterior paint job on Capitol Hill. Image was responsive and I had been watching their crew work on a house down my street - happy with the progress.They did an excellent job and we are so happy with the results. We also loved the crew, who were so respectful, friendly and neat - they left our yard and work area cleaner than they found it.Image painted our front exterior and iron stairs. They scraped the old paint very thoroughly, applied primer and two coats. Both jobs look terrific and we would use them again.

They are fairly priced, show up when they say they will, do an impecable job, and clean up and leave everything in order after every shift. Very professional estimator and painting crew. Recently, they repaired a lot of water damage to the plaster around our oval window over a stairway and painted the walls and trim. It looks great!

My person was very pleased with Adam and Luiss work. He said that every possible box could be checked off: timely, neat, and pleasant. Their work was excellent. He also babbled on and on that Andrew was easy to deal with and was helpful when answering his never ending questions.I, however, was not amused. I dont see color that well, so I dont know why he bothered. My life was disrupted. I had to sleep in a strange room for a few days and got shipped out during the day for three days. Which wasnt that bad because I got quite a few treats out of the deal. Adam and Luis didnt even include any interesting smells in the paint. I would have preferred a peanut butter room, a seafood room, and an egg room.My portrait is included so you can see how handsome I look with a freshly painted background.

I really appreciate the care that the Image Painting team took with our home. The painting and replacing of old wood - flawless! And at the end of each day, youd never have known that they were ever here given how neat the team was in cleaning up every day. We had some trouble finding the right stain for our porch floor and I especially appreciate the team working with me to find the right shade - which we found with the second choice. Im not an expert so I was grateful to the Image team to let me know what work should be done and then to execute that work so well. Good communications, caring, wonderful carpentry and painting. Id happily work with them again!

Image Painting had an efficient and well-coordinated team from the painters & carpenter, project manager, scheduler, estimator, to the owner. This resulted in a smooth, hassle-free job with an excellent result. The project was challenging as the space in which to do repair and painting on the three-story townhouse was tight in order to protect the landscaping surrounding the house, which included an irreplaceable 35-year-old boxwood hedge. Prep work was essential to achieving an excellent outcome as many areas of the wood needed to be replaced or repaired. The two-person painting and carpenter team of Rueben and Felix were hardworking & diligent, working 9–11-hour days to complete the job. The did a superb job and finished with no damage to the boxwoods!

I hired Image Painting to do painting I didnt trust myself to do: Dining Room walls + ceiling in a bolder color than we had, as well as Hallway walls and ceiling on the first and second floor. The pair of painters were professional, courteous and prompt as well as patient as we were home during the course of their work and had to maneuver around one another. The job was scheduled VERY promptly and done efficiently over 2 days. I am very glad we hired Image Painting and would recommend them without reservation.

Image painting is a very customer oriented business. They provided understandable estimates. I had a project manager once I signed the contract who guided the scheduling, daily work and final inspection Grevy was my onsite manager and his group was top notch in painting my rooms. The painting turned out perfect and Grevy kept me informed about each step of the process from moving furniture, drywall repair to the application of two coats. I was very ompressed how clean they left the project and no damage to any of my furniture, rugs, etc. I will use them again.

I had a positive experience using Image painting:- The person who supplied the estimate showed up on time for our walkthrough and supplied the estimate in a timely manner.- I had several questions about phrasing in the estimate and they replied consistently to my inquiries.- I scheduled nearly two months out.- They followed up the week before.- They completed the work in the estimated time.- They showed up on time both days.- All of the work was done to my satisfaction: A stairwell, the kitchen ceiling, the dining room ceiling (which had been damaged due to a roof leak - they used KILZ primer without asking or me specifying - an unexpected quality), and they repaired the drywall (damaged by a previous owner) and painted a wall in the living room.- They cleaned up after themselves and left the house orderly.Would hire again.

This is the second time Ive used Image Painting for exterior and interior painting. The quality and thoroughness of their work is impressive. For example, they last painted my exterior almost 14 years ago. That exterior paint was still in great physical shape (e.g., no flaking or peeling), it was just time for a refresh. I really appreciated the communication from the team: the foreman did a thorough walkthrough with me the first day to ensure we were all working from the same instructions, the project manager stopped by multiple times to check on progress, and Andrew (the owner) dropped by once or twice. The team worked quickly and professionally, prepping, painting and cleaning up. Andrew and the team worked with me to find the correct paints for the project and didnt just push me to color match with their vendor or use lower quality paints on high traffic areas. Even with prepping and sanding several walls and a banister, they did a great job keeping dust to a minimum. They were very responsive to small errors I pointed out, even when it meant going back to patch, sand and paint nail pops that had been hard to see, or coming back to sand and repaint something I found after they were done. Id definitely highly recommend them and use them again.

I hired Image Painting in Washington, DC to paint the walls of my condo. I was very impressed. They did a beautiful job. Only after they painted, I realized how much better they were than the previous painters. The previous painters were a bit messy, leaving a bit of paint on light fixtures and outlets, etc. Image Painting didnt do any such thing, plus they cleaned up the imperfections from the previous painters. The painting is very smooth and even. The leader of the team was clearly very knowledgeable about different kinds of paint. They were very careful to cover the floors, etc. too. They were very friendly and professional, and while I dont know the market well, I believe their services were a bit less expensive than other companies. I will definitely use them again in the future.

I will be using Image Painting for my exterior and interior paint and repair needs going forward. From the start of the estimate to the completion of the job, everyone there was professional, helpful and patient. I had a complex job inside and outside of the house that changed in scope and took months to get final approval for from an HOA and a separate companys work. Andrew at Image Painting was there throughout the process to help get things set up. Once the job was underway and after it was complete, Jankeh at Image Painting personally came to the site to inspect the work. Overall a solid company with people who care about the job being done right.

Excellent experience! Estimator came out twice in order to provide a detailed scope of work and estimate for exterior painting and wood replacement. Project manager communicated timeline and estimated start date and was on site and available for the duration of the job. Professional painters arrived at 8 am each day and stayed until 6pm. Painters communication what they were working on and asked questions about work. Performed extensive replacement of water damaged/rotted wood window frames. Will definitely use again!

Image Painting replaced dry-wall damaged by water in our basement. They completely repainted the entire room including walls, ceiling, baseboards, doors and window frames. They matched the baseboards, doors and window frame color with the first and second floors in our house. They also helped us make a final selection of color for the walls. They did a great job of repairing nail holes, marks and blemishes in the walls before applying two coats of paint. Their painters were very professional. Image Painting is terrific. Celvin did a great job managing the project and Andrew or Adam stopped by every day to check on progress and to see if we had any concerns or questions. They were very responsive, professional, friendly, flexible and cleaned up each evening before they left. They did extensive spackling and sanding and made sure to leave it very clean throughout the work and keep any dust from the rest of house with meticulous application of plastic and tape. We had them paint two rooms with very high ceilings and skylights. We also had them paint our kitchen cabinets - looks like brand new cabinets were installed. The price was very reasonable and more than worth it. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

My entire experience from procuring the right contractor through completion was excellent. Any questions or concerns I had were quickly addressed and the painters did good quality work on replacing rotted wood, caulking and painting the entire exterior. I had some plumbing redone that left 4 rooms with 7 dry wall holes that needed to be patched and painted. In fairness, this was a tricky job. 3 of the rooms they did an excellent job on, where you cant even tell where the patch was, and they didnt even need to paint the whole wall or ceiling to blend and hide the patch. The last room that had a little trouble had a tray ceiling that had both a hole that needed patching and water stains from a leak. On the first pass they did a great job on the patch, but there seemed to be some miscommunication on fixing the water stains as they were still visible. Image was very responsive when I asked if they could come back and take another look at it. The painter that came back out went above and beyond. Where I thought they just needed to use some stain-resistant primer, they actually sanded down the whole area, re-patched where needed, and repainted. And repainting on a tray ceiling means primer, flat coat on ceiling and beams, and semi-gloss on the molding. He was out for about 2/3 of a day. They were also very affordable, much less than other quotes I got. So they are a good value and willing to work with you to get it right. Minor points off for not getting it right the first time, but easy to work with and final product looks excellent.

They spent days scraping and power-washing the stucco. Ivy had made a real mess of several walls of the house and they painstakingly scraped, sanded and primed before painting. Our wooden garage door was chipped, pealing, and down to bare wood in places. They again scraped, sanded, filled and primed before the final coats of paint were applied.
