Joe, the owner of Nextgen Electric was very responsive to my first call inquiring about EV charger installation service. He came by the same day for a free consultation with cost estimate. He explained the full details about the panel, breaker, wiring and charge location. The scheduling of installation was also easy and he did not make me wait too long although almost everyone has been extremely busy nowadays. The installation process was straightforward and Joe who performed the job was willing to listen to my suggestions. He was also able to cater for small request outside of the job scope. Overall he did what he said with white-glove services and my garage floor was as clean as it was before the job. I was pleased with the services.

We needed our entire outdoor lighting to be replaced. Joe and his team were excellent. They showed up every day on time and completed the project quickly. The lighting looks beautiful. Communication with Joe when I had a question was smooth and easy. His team was respectful when entering and exiting my house. I would recommended them to anyone looking for a new electrician and will definitely be using them again for any electrical issues that may arise.

Joe was excellent! He arrived to us for an emergency service call on our electrical panel. He was immediately able to identify the issue and gave us the best cost effective solutions for the issue. He was promptly able to complete the service with everything working like new. Later on that day, just by coincidence, another issue arose with our air conditioner. We were able to reach out to him again and he was able to give us prompt service to fix the issue. We greatly appreciate the time he took out of his busy schedule to come service us. Joe has a great personality, is easy to talk to, and is always willing to go out of his way to help you. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be using him in the future.

I used Nextgen Electric to run a new line and upgrade an outlet. Joe came right over and reviewed everything and was able to send someone to do it the very next day. I reached out to Joe at Nextgen to discuss having an outlet run to the outside of our house for an EV charger. Joe was very responsive and scheduled a visit to look at the project and get us a quote right away. We received a quote that evening and approved the work. Joe and his team ordered the parts and came out and completed the install. While on-site Joes team did great work, and left us with a professional installation, cleaned up after themselves and were a pleasure to deal with. Would highly recommend anyone else needing electrical work in the West Essex area to give NextGen electric a call.

Joe and the Next Gen crew did a great job for me on an addition at my house. The main job was wiring up the addition and the renovated garage but also a number of other items that needed attention. As part of our kitchen update, we needed to re-socket the kitchen recessed lighting as the fixtures deteriorated due to excessive heat from the halogen bulbs. I scheduled this work with Nextgen. This morning, Jared arrived on time, set up his equipment and materials, and got to work. He did a great job re-socketing the formerly-halogen-now-LED kitchen ceiling fixtures. He was very pleasant to chat with, a good representative for Nextgen, and he left the work area immaculate.

Joe came to check out an issue I was having with an outdoor flood light at my house within 30 minutes of my phone call (on a holiday) and had one of his guys (Mark) at the house the next morning to take care of the job. Joe and the NextGen Team are fantastic, the best quality work I have seen. He prides himself in doing the right job and not cutting corners. He installed a Kohler whole home generator in for me. It looks very clean and professional. At the end of the day his pricing for the quality of work you are getting is extremely fair. I can sleep well at night knowing the job was done correctly.Joes crew was extremely professional and respected our personal space when having to access living areas. NextGen is extremely responsive. Joe and his team did all the electrical for a recent kitchen renovation, along with finishing a project they did not do the initial work for (basement electrical). In addition to being incredibly talented in his craft, he is also on top of the latest technologies: he installed three wireless charging stations in my quartz countertops that charge our devices THROUGH the countertops. Sounds frivolous but eliminates so many wires.Joe is thorough and meticulous in his work. When performing testing of our job he discovered an issue that should have been addressed (for safety) that should not have passed inspection (it did). He addressed it because he holds himself and his team to the highest of standards.It’s rare these days to work with someone who has that rare combination of talent, dedication to their craft, and pride in their work (integrity). Joe and his team embody professionalism, and while I hope my wife runs out of things to update in our home - if she doesn’t, Joe and team will be my first call. Thank you!

Our furnace/thermostat lost power, and we thought we needed a new line run from the breaker box. Joe was very responsive to our communications, and Mark came out the next day to diagnose and repair our problem. It turned out to be a much simpler, quicker, and cheaper fix than we thought we would need. I would highly recommend working with Joe and his team. Joe, as the owner of the company and a very busy guy, took the time to come to my home as I had no power going to my microwave and stove---with a 7 month old baby who needs bottles warmed. He was on time, courteous and professional. It didnt take him long to diagnose the issue and shortly thereafter fixed the problem. That night something tripped the breaker again. I texted him and he got back to me right away and said no problem, Ill come back to your house tomorrow. He came back again today, with a smile on his face, and finished the job.
