We highly recommend Adams Power for a Generac Generator. From the first call to schedule an estimate to the completed installation it was 5 Stars. Our salesman Jack was very professional and extremely knowledgeable regarding generators and the installation process, and very patient with us with all our questions. It was going to be a bit tricky to get the natural gas and electric from the laundry room/furnace room (middle of house) through the rec room ceiling, under basement steps and out into the garage to the far east wall of the garage. Jack came up with a plan. We decided to go with Adams Power for several reason; not just lower quote, but our friends’ recommendation, our salesman Jack, the maintenance done by Adams gives a longer warranty by Adams, and we liked the option to save 8% if you pay cash, that was a huge savings. We opted to go with the 22KW generator that will run our whole house, well pump, furnace and A/C along with anything else we want, just like we weren’t running on the generator. There was approximately $600 difference to go from a 18KW to the 22KW. Worth every dollar.The initial day of installation everything went smooth; transfer switch was installed and generator sitting in place. When they went to run the gas and electric, the tricky part started. They couldn’t get the gas and electric run and they were unsure Jack’s plan would work. We didn’t remove our ceiling prior to their arrival so that hindered them installing the gas and electric. It was a misunderstanding on our part. It was later in the afternoon so they called it a day and we would reschedule for the gas and electric installation.Jack reached out to us right away the next morning to schedule a visit to make sure his plan was good. We knew what part of the ceiling needed to be removed and proceeded to have it removed. Jack schedule the second appointment and made sure he was here to work with the crew to install the gas and electric. Jack was instrumental in getting the gas and electric out into the garage where the crew finished up the job, his planned worked great. It was great to see a more experienced person training and showing less experienced people so they learn the tricks of the trade. They showed us how the generator works, how the transfer switch work, and ran the generator so we could hear how loud it was. Not much louder than a lawn mower. GREAT JOB BY ALL; and no mess at all.As a side note: We were without power for approximately 7 hours during the initial installation so we ran our portable generator for our sump pump and two refrigerators. We can not be without electricity to our sump pump as it runs a lot. So now with the generator and two sump pumps in the crock, we have a great peace of mind to keep our rec room dry.

I had a new breaker box put in because of how old mine was. They did a great job putting it and they were professional. I was worried about a lot of potential issues and they provided me answers to reduce my anxiety of it being installed in the colder months. There was a slight problem with the breaker they put into the old sub panel, but only because the box was older and made in an unconventional way. When I let them know about the issue, they were extremely quick to get out there a figure out the issue. Im glad they figured it out, because its not something I would have thought to look for.

Josh and JD arrived on time this morning and went right to work after a short walk around to get an idea of how best to proceed. Each tackled their tasks professionally and efficiently, resulting in an installation that was just as promised. Potential delays were minimized by the careful coordination between Adams Power, the city building inspector and the electric utility representative. The site was left clean of any installation debris and we were given an excellent description of how the new system operates, along with an explanation of the break-in oil change and subsequent annual maintenance. It was obvious these guys knew what they were doing, and were very patient with all of my questions. Nice job Adams Power!

Our HVAC system was installed by Adams four years ago. The Issue was an alert from our Smart Thermostat.Scott, the Adams Technician, diagnosed that the alert was caused by the placement of remote sensors. After relocating the sensors, the system started to normalize the average temperature throughout the house. Scott explained how and why the sensors were providing mixed information to the furnace.Very pleased with Scott’s knowledge of our forced air system and temperature sensing equipment.

Adams did a great job with our full house 24Kw standby generator from Generac. Dan did estimate and recommendations. Install happened after 2.5 months due to busy hurricane season and their backlog. Delay communication could have been better as I have to call to find out reason for no response. It’s 1 day event for install with power off for 6-8 hours. They do all coordination with WE Energies, they come from Elkhart, Jennifer communicates with install crew and WE Energies.They register your gen, all you need to do is download Mobile link app.Perhaps slightly expensive but you get what you pay for. Smooth process, these guys are pros, recommended 👍

Had Adams add solar panels to my roof last October. They did an excellent job and the panels have been working stupendously for the last 9 months. I love that fact that I have an app on my phone and it shows me exactly how must power is being generated by the panels and how much Im using of the grid. Last month my TOTAL electric bill was $3.97! I highly recommend Adams for solar panels. Their estimate was fair; the work was accomplished very professionally and in a timely manner; and I am very happy with the outcome.I have a semiannual HVAC inspection/tune-up from Adams. Adams Generators did an awesome job installing our 22kW Generac! Dan came out to do the estimate and was very helpful in answering all our questions, explaining the install process, and offering guidance on locating the generator as the gas and electric utility connections are on opposite sides of our house. Adams took care of all the permits, coordination with WE Energies, and utility flagging as we wanted the piping buried between the house and the unit.We somehow didnt get notified of the planned install date so we were caught by surprise when the installers showed up, but in the end it all worked out fine.Joe and JT did a great job on the install (even in the freezing weather), and everything was installed neatly and cleaned up after the job was finished. About 6 weeks after the install we had a power outage during a winter storm and within 30 seconds the generator kicked on and provided power to the house and then ran perfectly for the entire 14 hour outage!Overall a great experience even with a couple misses in communications.

I called another company to do the diagnostic and they told me that they normally didn’t work on Trane systems and that I needed a new circuit board and possibly a whole new hvac system. They also told me it would take days to get the part. I decided to start over and call Adams because they were a trane dealer. The technician came out and found that the problem was a 50$ transformer and fixed it on site. I appreciate their honesty and will use them again

Today I had my 1st annual maintenance completed by Adams Electric on our Generac HSB Generator. Their technician, Logan arrived promptly at 8:00 AM. He was very organized and friendly as he completed the 26 items identified in their maintenance program. When completed, he then switched off the electric utility and power our complete home with our generator. Ive used Adams three times recently. The first time was for emergency service on our old furnace. The second time was for another repair on the constantly operating fan. Finally, we had our old furnace and air conditioner replaced just recently. Previously, someone came out to look at what the install would be up against, and we were given some options. Pricing was in line with my expectations, and I was able to pick my install dates. The install guys were great being very attentive to their being in someones home. He spent hours manually digging around underground lines in order to install my gas line for my pool heater. Outstanding work from Jake who was responsible for the install of new HVAC system & ERV Air Exchange & cleanup of obsolete duct work from adding a 2nd floor HVAC system a few years earlier. He treated my house like it was his & always answered my questions thoroughly. In addition to the install, he added a vent under my kitchen cabinets (a huge find since it had earlier been floored over), fixed a noisy damper on old duct work, checked to see if the attic furnace filter needed changing & cleaned a hard to reach, cold air vent above a stairway. Jake also gave me good advice on relocating duct work for a bathroom under reconstruction. I highly recommend Jake and Adams as I have used most of their services with excellent results.

When they came to give me a quote, Don and I went through exactly what would need to be powered in an outage situation and then he explained why I would need a certain size of generator. We have used Adams multiple times and have always been satisfied with their work. Our water heater sprung a leak over the weekend. After calling their emergency line we had a plumber at our door within 10 minutes. They helped to stop the leak and replaced the water heater Monday morning. We have also used their services for HVAC and electrical work. The results and service are always top notch. 5 out of 5 would recommend.

Just had a new Generac standby unit installed. The product is great I was aware of that. But getting it installed I needed a Pro company Adams was that company they did a fantastic job of installation. Their 4 workmen were excellent on time and caring about your home etc. They worked in the snow and cold no complaints. Spent time explaining installation etc. Five star is so little Ill give them a 10! Contacting them was great their contact person Jackie T. was a pleasure to talk and e-mail she very responsive and a real company asset. It was great from the start Scott B. the sales person was spot on what was needed and what needed to be done.

Hi, Casey came to find out why my generac would not charge the battery, after trouble shooting he called Gen. thay said [the machine needed a common wire for the charge system, this is not in the setup instructions for any gen smaller than 10,000 watts] after install the unit was ok. I have the scematic it doesnt show this is needed. I believe its Generacs responsibility. Garry Kosut
