    We just had a whole home generator installed and we are very happy with the installation. Zach, Justin, Steve, and Tim were all very professional and knowledgeable. They had everything thought out and planned, so the installation took very little time. I would highly recommend this company if you are looking for a home generator.

    The crew was very thorough, efficient and clean while installing my new Generac 18kW Whole House generator! They did all the upfront work including getting necessary permits, inspections and working with National Grid and local officials. The installation went smoothly and cleanly. They discussed items that are still pending, including the electrical inspection and future maintenance. They are a great crew and did a great job!

    Joe S. came and my home and did an exceptional job. I have had a 10K Gen X for some time and it has never been professionally serviced. He was highly professional, provided lots of feed back and information, and I felt comfortable him being in my home. I would highly recommend Home Power Systems. In an industry where most companies treat you like they are doing you a favor being a customer, this business was exceptional. I will not do business anywhere else from now on.

    The technician who came to troubleshoot why my genera stopped working was knowledgeable and thorough, he fixed the issue.I was not at all pleased with the response I got from the customer service staff when I called in to report my generator was off line. It was a weekend, I left a message as there was no live person that answered the call. Then on Monday morning I called again first thing.Her initial response was“we are very busy it’ll be 2 weeks before I can schedule a technician “. I responded that this was unacceptable . After a bit of back and forth she scheduled someone to come out in 2 days. And I was told I’d have to pay the emergency service fee. Wow! My generator is 3 years old. Turns out the the switch panel had to be replaced (covered under warranty) which caused it to go offline and the battery drained so i needed a new battery. I’m told battery’s only last 3 years.The technician charged me a regular service call fee of $50.(thank you) But the Company also charges labor $145/hour. Outrageous!Buyers beware! . Why am I paying a labor fee when the issue was an under warranty defect?Signed - Dissatisfied!Update - I received a call from a representative as a result of this negative post. I am being reimbursed for the service fee and hour of labor. I should not have been charged as the part that needed to be replaced is under warranty.

    Justin, Jason and Chris arrived on time. They were all very friendly. (Justin even helped me do a little raking.) All the work was done neatly and professionally. The electric hookup plan had to be changed from the original estimate, and they took the time to find the best way to hookup and kept me informed. All my questions were answered completely.

    It was Gregs first time here. I had a call from him prior to arrival and HPS also sent me a text introduction for Greg. He arrived promptly and did a complete assessment of the generator. He performed the annual preventive maintenance and recommended a new battery, which we did. He did a thorough run test of the generator and a real-time test of the transfer switch. All systems were perfect when he departed. We signed up for another three years of preventive maintenance. I am completely satisfied with our relationship with HPS and their excellent service techs.

    Andrew serviced our generator that was not powering up properly. He diagnosed the problem very quickly, let us know the cost of the repair and completed the work very quickly. He explained what he did and also indicated we need a followup visit which he will schedule. He was GREAT !

    We had HPS install a Generac 22KW generator today. Their installation services sent 3 technicians to our site. These technicians were very professional and had the highest customer service standards. They explained in detail what they were doing during the entire process. Once they were completed - Brandon Dibble went over the operating procedures thoroughly while also explaining warranty and maintenance information. I could not be happier with their installation. If you need a generator installed - these are the people you want doing it.

    The HPS team did a great job! Professional, friendly, neat, organized and explained everything. Whole experience from initial contact to installation was excellent. Everyone arrived on time and finished on time. All the details were handled by HPS. I appreciated a wide choice of generator brands and options to choose from. Rusty, who visited our home to provide an estimate helped us understand everything clearly. The electrical code inspector who examined our install told me that he has never had an HPS job fail one of his inspections and he had done over 200 of them! Before and after installation images attached. We have had two annual generator services that were a complimentary part of our purchase. Each technician was thorough, friendly and professional. Cant say enough positive about the HPS organization!

    Today I had a Generac Whole House Generator installed. Jason, Chris and Brandon did a terrific job with every aspect of the installation. Along with the generator they also replaced my breaker box and a whole house surge protector. They were efficient and worked as a team plus were very friendly and dealt with my 2 curious dogs! When the project was completed I got a thorough explanation of how the generator worked and how to trouble shoot. I was very pleased that the company handled scheduling the electric company to shut off the meter box, permits, inspector and contacting my propane company to arrive at the appropriate time to hook up the tank to the generator. I couldn’t be more pleased!! Now I just need one of those dang outages…….

    We had a fantastic experience with Home Power Systems today. It started with great communication from the office. We received a a reminder of our scheduled service maintenance service call. During this reminder we were given a window of when to expect our service man to arrive.On the morning of the service, we received a call from the service tech from the road. He gave us a 30 minute heads up, and arrived exactly when he said he would. Greg was not only friendly, professional, and knowledgeable, but courteous as well. Greg provided an overview of what hed be doing and how long it would take. When Greg entered the house, he put protective booties on his shoes so snow and or mud didnt get tracked into our home. When the work was complete, Greg explained what he looked at and what he did to our generator.We feel confident and very happy we have a contract with Home Power Systems. Thank you Greg McDonald!

    Greg had to cover for the service technician that called in sick. My appointment was then switched to have Greg from 2-4 PM. He was running late and into the dark when he was able to get here as he was covering for his sick coworker. He performed a thorough inspection, a transfer and found that the battery needed to be replaced which he did after getting my authorization. He was knowledgeable, professional, kind and polite even with working in the dark with a flashlight. When I got home I then turned on the outdoor floodlight above him. I highly recommend Greg.

It did not involve any new parts, but he zip tied a hose and put lubricant on a moving sleeve. Only took an hour. Afterward he tested the unit and declared it ready for operation. He was very pleasant the whole time.

    Spoke to a few different generator contractors. These guys impressed me from the start and I am a pretty good judge of vendors based on my experience in running a few different businesses. The sales representative (Rusty) was the most knowledgeable to my installation experience, everyone was super professional, knowledgeable, friendly. Yes, they were a little more than another one, but there is a price for quality. I actually installed two 20k generators, one at my camp and one at my house so I dealt with a number of installers, Mark, Tim, Collin, Andrew and Zach. Everyone was first rate and courteous. I have already recommended this team to a couple of my friends.

Home Power Systems was absolutely the best experience I have had in years with a contracting company actually surprising me with service, quality, and professionalism. The day my Generac was to be installed, over 5 people showed up at my home as they said they would. On time! From Rusty, Jeff D, Tim, Collin, and Brett, the Generac was installed beautifully, and in one day. They walked me through my system and how it worked, what to expect, and several places for a number to contact if I had any problems. Also, the number works 24/7. I am still in disbelief at how amazing the team of professionals was. I had been referred to another local company for the install at first. They didnt show up on time for the estimate, called me several days later, and really didnt make me feel good about the long term customer service. Generacs are high quality generators to begin with but they are only as good as they are installed. You may pay a little less some place else, but you will pay more in the long run. I am thrilled and have a great peace of mind now having my Generac installed by Home Power Systems!!! Dont go anywhere else. I also found out that they are number 1 in the Country for residential installations!

    HPS (Kyle M) recently completed the annual maintenance on our 11K Generac generator. Kyle was on time and effective. He performed several tests and changed the oil. Unfortunately, he detected a very small oil leak. He cleaned the entire unit and promised to return in about a week to check the leak. He did return with Mike C to check the leak. They determined that the breather needed to be replaced. They did the repair, cleaned it completely and leveled the unit. Great job by Kyle and Mike.
