    I was able to get a new roof and upgrade my electrical panel along with great looking solar panels. The process was smooth from start to finish, Katelyn Axten handled everything along the way with excellent communication and the install work was quick and clean. I was able to lock in a great rate for electric with no upfront cost as well, would recommend all around.

    Trevor and Justin were amazing at installing my EV charger. Extremely knowledgeable and professional. They had to work the wires across the house in a finished basement. No mess, no open ceilings. Definitely recommend West Electric!

    Our family recently went solar. We were thinking about doing it for years now, but hadnt pulled the trigger. Our rep, Cole stopped by over the summer and we had a conversation about the system. He was polite, knowledgeable, considerate, and not sales-y in the slightest.He worked on our schedule and was very flexible. We werent pushed into anything, and he offered custom solutions to fit our requirements. My wife and I had so many questions and he was able to answer everything and made sure we were comfortable with the system.On the day of installation the team from West Electric was professional and surprisingly fast - the whole system of 34 panels was up within a day.Having the system up and running is really cool - being able to see exactly how much power were generating is great. Well be saving money in the long term and not having to deal with Eversource and their constant price increases is just great.I highly recommend West Electric and especially Cole. I couldnt have asked for a better rep.

    From scheduling an appointment with Andrew to having the electrician Trevor come out and install our ChargePoint car charger was excellent.     West Electric did an excellent job in installing a 60 Amp level 2 home charging station inside my Garage. Ed & Crew, Ed Sr, and Ryan arrived on time and did a clean professional install. I tested the charger after they left and everything worked perfectly. Ed also provided me with all the detail regarding the rebate provided by Eversource for charger installation and helped me submit the rebate. Highly recommend West Electric for any Electric needs.

    Im surprised there arent more reviews on here for this company, they are awesome to deal with.I recently bought an electric car and had been trying to find a local electrician to install a 50A circuit for a 14-50 outlet for its charger. I called more than 10 local electricians and nobody got back to me. I dont think its common that electricians in this are do this kind of work even though its pretty standard work. This company has installed tons of these kinds of outlets/chargers. They have a ton of experience here and it shows.Unlike everyone else, Ed got back to me immediately. I showed him the job over facetime to get a quote and they were at my house within a week putting it in (this was after WEEKS of nobody even calling me back to talk about the job).The guys were awesome. Arrived right on time. My job wasnt the most standard and they were still in and out in 2 hours. They are real tradesmen in an era where this is increasingly hard to find. The finished product in my garage is professional looking and works perfectly. I cant recommend them enough!! I am looking forward to using this company for a few other electrical jobs in my house.Edit:10/2023 updateJust wanted to update my review. Since the initial installation, West Electric has come back out to do a couple more jobs. Last summer they installed a new pool automation system for me (and fixed a short to my pool lights in the process that my pool company wanted to charge me $4000 for replacement lights).They also just came back out this week to install a second EV charger. As expected, they were on time, installation went smoothly, and everything is working great. This is one of those companies that you find and never look elsewhere for another electrician. These guys are great!

    West end electric was the preferred electrician from my car dealership. When I bought my new electric vehicle they gave me a credit and said here are the electricians to do the job. I was completely unaware that these guys were the most professional in the entire industry, not only from right off at the start they immediately reached out and got this project from start to finish within the week. We had some hiccups from a third party scheduling application and the owner of the business made it right! He knew that we valued our time getting this charger in the house ASAP over some complicating hoops to jump through and took the time and initiative to get the job done! Far as the installation goes, the man who came out was absolutely a pleasure to deal with in and out and under a few hours without a single speck of dust or screws or electrical wire to be seen. Very clean, very professional and it left me feeling like they were confident in what they were doing, especially with a very high-end high voltage electric job. Shout out to you guys West electric!

    West Electric installed my brother’s EV charger and he referred them to me. Anthony thoroughly explained my options and the pros and cons of each without sounding like a salesman looking for the most buck. Trevor was my installer and he did a phenomenal job. He navigated around my garage shelving and made it look aesthetically pleasing. He also swept the area after he was done and took all the clunky boxes with him after the install- little things but it was definitely noted and appreciated. Highly recommend.

    I browsed around for quite a bit looking for a quote to have an EV charger installed in my home, and I can say by far that West Electric is the best value you can find anywhere. The work was done expeditiously, the folks I interacted with were incredibly professional, and the final product looks fantastic and functions perfectly. Everything was explained to me in detail so that I understood the process, and great care was taken to adapt my panel to the situation. Ed himself even took the time to help me deal with an annoying bank issue I had when paying. You dont get that kind of care anywhere these days.     Two technicians arrived to install a level 2 charger in my garage. Trevor and Aidan were amazing. To start with the most important thing - the charger was installed exactly as I had hoped after we discussed options to make sure that the placement would work best in my garage. While they were here, they noticed something wrong with a pipe in my basement that another contractor had left open. They showed me the problem, had me take a picture and I was able to use the info to get the contractor back to fix the damage that had occurred. At one point, they helped me corral one of my dogs who escaped during the installation... AND before they left, they swept and cleaned up after the work. My garage looks better now than when they got there. Super polite, respectful young men who were patient with me while I downloaded the app and connected to Wi-Fi.

    Owner Ed West and electrician Kevin provided fantastic customer service during the install of my home EV charger. Later when we had an issue with a broken latch that prevented us from unplugging our vehicle, Ed and Kevin again teamed up to bail us out with after hours service call that got our car drivable again (and the plug unit replaced). Highly recommended.

    Updated review:We used West Electric for installation of a Level 2 smart charger / load manager (Emporia), wiring upgrades, and whole home surge protector.The on-site electric work (install) was great. Trevor did a fantastic job; he is professional, a great communicator, completed the on-site work in a timely fashion, left the various work areas looking as good (or better) than when he arrived, and patiently helped install / set-up the App required for Eversources managed charging program.When we experienced hiccups related to submission of the rebate application to Eversource, the owner of the company heard my concerns and responded quickly. The owner even took the time to work through the rebate application process with me. I suspect that this is not a sustainable model for a small business -- so I very much appreciated his time and commitment to customer satisfaction.Why choose West Electric for your electrical work?1. West Electrics owner stands behind their work. I enjoy working with small business owners who ensure top-down best efforts to fulfill (reasonable) customer expectations.2. West Electric professionally completes customers electrical work at competitive rates.     I had a level 2 EV charger installed with these guys through QMerit. It required fixing shoddy work from the prior homeowner. New wire to a detached garage with subpanel installation. Anthony is so easy to work with on the phone. The two electricians came promptly to the appointment and did clean work. They even labeled everything with a label maker. Seamless inspection of course.

    Had 2 guys come out yesterday and do a great job installing and rewiring a ton of light fixtures in my basement. All the other companies gave me outrageous quotes, couldnt come out soon enough or were rude on the phone. I asked specifically for hourly because of how many times id been screwed by contractors in the past (e.g. $1200 for 1 hour of labor, no thanks).Very happy with the service. Ill be using this company in the future if we ever get and EV or jacuzzi or something like that.

    Wanted to share my recent experience with West Electric. I needed to move a generator outlet from one side of the house to the other side in order to maintain code clearance for two new propone tanks. West Electric previously installed this generator outlet for me years ago but now I needed it moved for the propane conversion. I called Ed on a Tuesday morning to explain the scope of work. I was willing to be on a wait list to get this work done; however to my surprise, Ed called my a few hours later and had two electricians at my house that afternoon. Chris and Trevor arrived and had the generator outlet moved within the hour. They did a great job and were very polite and professional. I would highly recommend West Electric to anyone looking for great service!

    These guys are nothing short of amazing! I bought my first electric car and was connected with West Electric through GMs program that uses Qmerit. Qmerit arranged everything and I was on the phone with Ed West in a couple of days. He gave me an excellent array of information and advice on how to do my electric panel upgrade to 200A and installation of a 100A subpanel in my garage with a hard-wired EV charger installation.They pulled permits, sent a team of 4 to do the upgrade an install arriving right on time. All the people I dealt with were very professional and super friendly. They had a new panel installed and my electricity back on in under 3 hours! Amazing!They buried a pipe (no easy task here in New England due to the rocks) and ran a new cable to my garage before lunchtime.The charger was installed and working and everything was cleaned up by about 3:30 in the afternoon.These guys are a total class act! I would use them again without hesitation before even calling for another quote. The price they gave me was VERY good as verified by my brother who is also a licensed electrician (Hes just too far away for me to use him).I highly recommend West Electric. This was a smooth, easy, wonderful experience.

    West Electric performed the electrical install for our new above ground pool. Ed West was recommended to us by our pool installer. He came to our site quickly and provided a competitive and professional proposal.Our proposal included a trench from the pool to the house, which ended up taking longer than his proposal planned, due to large rocks in the soil. Ed honored his original proposal and didnt pass the extra labor cost along to us, since we had agreed on a fixed price. At the end of the project the inspector commented on the quality of the install and quickly passed our project.We would definitely hire West Electric again in the future.

    I contacted West Electric about installing a charger in the garage for my new Cadillac Lyriq EV. Ed West took the call directly and had an installation team there the same day and I was charging the car that very afternoon. Excellent service and very friendly demeanor. When you get your first EV, there is natural range anxiety, so it was very comforting that my Ultium Level 2 charger was installed inside of a day after contacting them.

    I cant express the amount of gratitude I have for the electricians, office staff and leadership of West Electric. West Electric was contracted to install my ChargePoint Home EV charger. While waiting for their partner, I asked a bunch of questions of the West Electric Electrician who arrived first. He was very friendly and although my questions were far from about the installation of the ChargePoint, he answered them all, helped me look over my ridiculously high Eversource bills (over $750 the past two months, for a 1400 sq. ft. house despite Tesla solar panels and two powerwalls) and suggested a solution to the try to identify the problem more thoroughly. After finishing up the EV charger, they installed an Emporia Energy Vue2, which has been actively monitoring where power is being drawn from my home. About 3 weeks after install, I noticed that the majority of the power was being drawn from the balance (upwards of 70%). They had an ADDITIONAL, very veteran Electrician come out and do some additional checks on the system and label the 16 monitored circuits. The app that goes with the Emporia monitor is simple to install, easy to read and the customer service reps are patient and very willing to educate. I suspect it is going to be very helpful to collect data which I can use to challenge Eversource about the crippling prices they charge for the electricity and the delivery of said electricity, Tesla about how their solar panels and inverter have major opportunities for growth and ultimately how I can end up NOT spending over a thousand dollars a month on electricity!! Thanks West Electric!!! USE THEM!! THEY ARE KNOWLEDGEABLE, HELPFUL, PATIENT, SKILLED and most improtantly, KIND.

    I used Qmerit to find an electrician to install my EV charger and was introduced to Ed from West Electric. The whole experience was amazing! Ed answered ALL of my questions…lol, I had a lot. He was gracious with his time and was quick to help me set up an installation date. The installers, Chris and Trevor, were great!!!The installation was fast and you wouldn’t even know where the new service line was if you did not know where to look.Last but not least is Amaryllis, she filled out all of the documents needed for the CT rebates, town permits and helped to set up my town inspection after install. I could not have asked for a better experience.
