    I was extremely pleased with the service we experienced during our recent service visit by M.R. Electricians. Walter Alba, the electrician who provided the service, was a very knowledgeable, and efficient professional who quickly and completely addressed our electrical issue. Moreover, he was very pleasant and polite, and he quickly diagnosed the cause of our particular problem and then clearly explained the work that he carried out in order to rectify it.     JT and Cagen are the best! They came by today to install two antique crystal sconces in my living room - thanks to them my living room looks incredible. JT is a wonderful problem solver and helped me convert the sconces from European wiring to the US. While they were here, JT and Cagen ended up also fixing my faulty recessed lights in the kitchen, installing a new light fixture in my closet, and replacing the motion sensor light in my back yard. These guys go above and beyond! 10/10 recommendation, and I am an interior designer so I am very particular about my electricians! Looking forward to working with you all again soon.

    We were so pleased by the work J.T. And Cagen did at our home today. We had four very different items needing repair or installation and they did them quickly, efficiently and cleanly. We felt that we got a very good price for the 4 1/2 hours work that they did. We will finally have a plug for Xmas lights out front, security lights on the side of the house and a plug for my electric smoker in the back. We will hire them back ANY time we need electrical work. My only regret is that we didn’t call them sooner!! We highly recommend these electricians and their company.

    The team of Orlin, Khalil & Jefferson did a wonderful job on our heavy-up and our other requested upgrades. They arrived on-time, worked extremely efficiently as a team and were very careful to clean up after themselves. There were multiple problems they pointed out as part of the estimate process so we were fully prepared for the magnitude of the job and they even found a few more problems that needed correcting along the way but everything was taken care of promptly and expertly. They were able to avoid causing any damage to finished interior surfaces which they cautioned could be the case so we were extremely grateful for their careful work. The explanations provided were clear, concise and complete and we are confident in the workmanship and safety of their results.     I recently had M.R. Electricians out to my home to install an EV Charger. Very impressed by the service. Easy to schedule by phone. They gave me a 1 hour arrival window, then the technician actually was a few minutes early to that window. More impressive , when they opened the breaker panel, they identified and corrected a mistake a previous (different) electrician (presumably years ago) made that could have been a fire hazard. Lastly, they cleaned up after themselves. I felt the fee was more than fair and the payment process was simple. Cant say enough great things.

    Last month (May 2024), we lost power throughout most of our house. No lights in most of the house (three outlets still had power), no refrigerator, no cooking, no air conditioning. A neighbor recommended M.R. Electricians. I called and Wade arrived the next morning. Wade was wonderful to work with: fast, efficient, professional, and personable. He diagnosed and walked me through the problem; came up with a solution; and worked with suppliers, Pepco, and county permitting to organize the repair. Even with all of that coordination, Wade and his colleagues at M.R. Electricians fixed everything a day earlier than we initially expected.We worked with several company employees on this job: Wade and his co-worker Walter; Luis and Jacob in the office. Everyone we dealt with was courteous, professional, and worked hard to keep us informed. This is an impressive group of professionals. If you have any electrical needs, you don’t need to look anywhere else.

    I couldnt be happier with the work J.T. and Frank were responsible for. The installation of exterior fixtures with inside switches went extremely well. They always answer the phone- personal service is excellent; they schedule service promptly and always arrive on time ; their personnel are friendly, efficient ,knowledgeable and they always do a fantastic job . They have installed lighting , extra outlets, repaired existing outdoor and indoor lighting and will be upgrading garden lights soon. I highly recommend their services .     Gio and his assistant arrived. I explained the problem. Gil examined the light fixture and deemed it needed to be replaced. Because this was quick ad efficient, I asked if he could replace and install an outside light fixture. He did that in an efficient manner and cleaned up the area out front. Gio explained that the fixture had a light /movement sensor. He explained how it worked and was patient with me so I could understand how works. He also gave me the instructions that came with the fixture. I was pleased with the service. I have purchased a new lighting fixture for the upstairs and when it arrives I will call MR Electricians to install it.

T. the technician and Jay the office manager to be very courteous, efficient and knowledgeable, obviously caring about customers’ electrical needs and knowing how to solve them.     So we bought this house in Columbia, a little over a year ago. The house was a flip, so all the work was done cheaply. We didnt realize that our electrical work was also cheesy. For some reason, after a year of use, our microwave started to trip the breaker. We thought maybe it was the microwave, so we spent the $500 on a new one... Which ultimately gave us the same results. On a separate issue, the kitchen outlet to the left of the microwave, began to start sizzling when in use... But the wiring on the outlet appeared to be fine. This outlet is on a separate breaker from the microwave, by the way. We tried to replace the outlet, but again, the outlet continued to sizzle. Baffled and desperate, we called M&R Electricians to try and figure out whats going on. We got Steve, who was awesome! Him and his worker tested the microwave (which APPEARED to be on a dedicated outlet, but really wasnt -- the whole left side of the house was on the microwave breaker) and he came to the conclusion that the microwave needed to be on its own dedicated outlet. Of course this required a few holes in our dry wall, but it was needed. Then, the sizzling outlet issue: He attempted to replace the outlet. Of course, it still sizzled... So I called them the next day and Steve came out the same day to take another look. He placed his ear against the outlet and determined that the sizzling was coming from behind the stove. I thought he was losing his mind lol. But he pulled out the stove, and sure enough, there was open wire (with no cover) burnt CRISPY! These wires were right next to the malfunctioning outlet, just hidden behind the stove. The burnt wires were somehow tied into our malfunctioning outlet. He said there was copper and aluminum twisted together which is apparently really dangerous. I was mind blown that he figured out the issue, i mean it was behind the damn stove, who wouldve ever thought?!?! So he took care of the issue and NO MORE SIZZLING OUTLET!!! And they gave us a discount because he didnt catch it the first time, which was very sweet of them. Also, Chad offered to help us out with documentation to try and get the prior owner to pay the damages - considering her people were the ones that handled the kitchens shotty electrical work before we bought the house. So, essentially, Steve came out here non-stop within the 2 day span, until the issues were resolved. And they didnt charge us an arm and a leg. Steve is very knowledgeable and an electrical genius!

Their most recent project was installing an EV charger, which involved snaking power across the width of the house, trenching for 30 feet and installing a pedestal for the charger….. a little more involved installation.
