    We just hired them to do 2 sets of 6 6 lights, 2 GFCI outlets and 5 light fixtures. Daniel and his crew came out and did an awesome job. Everything was done in 2 days. They left easily patchable holes since they had to drill and cut sheetrock and the price was fair. It made s huge improvement. Daniel gave another recommendation for more lights in a dining room which we will be calling back to do at a later date. They are extremely professional and masters at their craft. Glad I found them and hired them they did a great job!.

    This is our second time calling Castro Electrical, and once again they delivered fast, high-quality service! Water was leaking into our main electrical wire from outside, which is dangerous and unnerving. Luckily, our technician (Andrew) arrived just a few hours later to put our minds at ease. Andrew was friendly and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain the issue while also working quickly to secure the area and mitigate any hazards. We are very pleased with Castro Electrical and the work their technicians do!

    Wee received a recommendation for Castro from our next door neighbors. This was our first time using them. Darwin came to our house to fix our outside lamp post, which had also tripped our outside outlets. He was very clear and thorough with explaining the steps, the prices of everything along the way, and asking for permission to disassemble things while he worked. We will definitely be having him come back to do the follow up work once we purchase a new lamp post!

From new installations with our deck lighting to troubleshooting interior electrical issues, they have always been top-notch, in responsiveness, professionalism, and ultimately the end product and results.Just today, Andrew came in less than five hours and restored power to a significant portion of our kitchen, which was really critical in our day-to-day living.     Jorge, Zane, and Reed did a fantastic job! They were all very professional, and their work met my expectations. I did pay significantly more than I was expecting for a 240v outlet to be installed in the garage 10 feet away from the circuit breaker panel; my rating here reflects the quality of the work l and not necessarily the price value. However, I felt it was worth it to pay a little more and have the work done correctly on time and the first time, including the proper permits and inspections with local government authorities.

    I asked to be called when the technician was on their way. Rudy called me when he was 10 minutes away. We talking about how to tackle to job. He listened and was receptive. He put on booties before entering the house and every time he came back in, which in my book already speaks volumes of the regard they have for their work before the actual project even started. While completing the work he answered my questions. The site was left clean and tidy. I am happy with the work completed by the Rudy and found the prices to be reasonable as well.

    We recently bought an old house that has a lot of electrical problems. We did not realize how difficult to find a good electrician until the renovation projects for the house. After going through 5 different companies that provide electrical services, we finally found the ONE. Rudy Sanchez and his teammate from Castro Electrical Services not only know what they are doing and can fix small to big problems but also professional and so pleasant to work with. The corporate office is also very easy to work with. This is the company that deserves 5 out of 5 rating and recognition.

    After a months-long saga with a group buy that never materialized for me due to shifting timelines, Castro took care of replacing my electrical panel in less than two weeks. They were very communicative, accommodating, and professional. From the time I requested a price quote to the time Castros staff returned my key to the front desk after patching and painting the wall, the service was top notch. Yes, the cost was more expensive than it would have been had the group buy panned out, but given the headaches that arose as a result of the group buy process, I am so grateful to Castro for picking up and running with my job in such a quick and professional manner. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Castro for any of your electrical needs. They definitely are on my speed dial for any electrical work that I might need done in the future.

    Milton of Castro Electric went above & beyond,detailing the special case of a sub panel which provided circuits to pool equipment. Milton had to rearrange and enhance support for the post holding pool electrical boxes & the subpanel, for example. Retrenching & new conduit were required, and care was taken to limit the area of lawn affected. Milton took care with the grounds keeping around access point to the house panel. I could go on. I would recommend Milton & crew anytime!

    Luigi and William were awesome. I had lost power in a large portion of my home without tripping a breaker, and was completely stumped what could be causing it. They were able to get out to me quickly, sent me a text letting me know they were on their way, they never took off their shoe covers even though I told them they didnt need to wear them (most of my flooring is just a plywood subfloor right now because Im installing new flooring and the carpet thats left is being torn up too) they hunted down a loose wire in a random switch that was causing all of the issues without having to open walls or any other type of demo. They were super friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and the best part, it was WAY less expensive than what I was prepared for it to cost. I will definitely use them again for any future electrical work/repairs.

    Im adding to my original 2023 review more great feelings about this company. This time Jorge Barrientos came out to troubleshoot a ceiling light fixture. The original estimate was reduced when he left due to it being a more simple job than originally quoted. It seemed super fair of him to do that seeing that it was a fast fix! Thanks Jorge!For lots of reasons I appreciated Castro Electrical Services, but one thing I found unique is that they could provide an hourly rate for my distinct request... to help me install some fixtures I had purchased already. Service Manager Peter also did a SOLID for his team and came out and did it himself to save his folks in the field from a small job. What a Team Player!

    Castro Electrical Services provided prompt, polite, and professional electrical repairs for my family. We recently purchased an older home that was last renovated in 2005. As expected based on the year of renovation, the work was done poorly with lots of shortcuts. It looked fantastic but the shortcuts caused long term problems that the previous homeowner either didnt understand or was unaware of them. For starters, replace the circuit breaker from 1979 before splitting off an outlet to create more etc. SMH Anyway. Shawn, Sharif, and another gentleman that I do not recall his name, were all friendly and efficient. Shawn took the time to explain the same issue over and over again (it wasnt complex, I just only had eight hours of sleep in three days). Shawn wired two dedicated circuits for the kitchen - microwave and air fryer - and kept the three outlets on that circuit - which were just together because the renovators were lazy - to its own circuit. Thank you very much. I highly recommend Castro Electrical Services and Shawn.

    It’s a pleasure to work with a service provider that knows how to get customer service right! Castro Electrical worked with me to get a critical electrical upgrade completed on a schedule that was important to me. Even if that meant inserting a job into an already full calendar, modifying the estimate and job specifications per my requirements, or having Peter and Carter (both managers) themselves come out and do the work. This team, together with their boss and owner Paul really differentiates themselves with their flexibility and customer focus while also being excellent electricians who know the job and how to do it with high quality!

    I used Castro Electric to update my old panels with new technology and install a Tesla charger. My job was also complicated by having a third panel for backup generator. They provided great service. I felt I was their number one priority even though they have many customers. They provided a good fair price and offered better technology than many of their competitors.     Second review:We needed them again, due to several issues - one with our foyer chandalier, and one with our bedroom wiring - and they were confusing issues. The electrician who came out this time (Shawn) was just as impressive as the first electrician. Shawn worked diligently to figure out the confusing wiring and correct the issues, and now everything works as it should! Seriously, this company is the best, and having a trustworthy electrician to call is as good as gold. (In this house, were going to need them on speed dial, I suspect. So glad we found them!)Initial review:We needed our blown whole-house surge protector replaced, and, being new to the area, I called several highly-rated electricians in the area to both *find someone to replace it, and, hopefully, *find a great electrical company to call on as needed.Castros price was about on par with the others I called. However, on the phone, the representative I spoke with, Paul, answered my questions, listened to me, and was very polite and professional. It was the phone response I got that heavily leaned me toward Castro.When the technician, Peter, came out to do the repair, he arrived in the 2-hour window provided. He was polite, respectful of my son (who was home at the time) and our home, and quick but thorough. He answered all of our questions and took the time to explain the work he had done, as well as the setup of the surge protector (as the home is new to us).     I reached out to Castro Electrical Services (CES) when I was having some acute electrical issues in my home (Feb 2024). This is a local, family-owned business- something that really resonates with me, so I wanted to give them a chance and they didnt let me down! CES was responsive and able to help me in a timeframe that was very helpful! I submitted a request for service online late at night when my issues started (they have an emergency number, but I didnt need to use that) and I received a text that night asking me to send any more details, pics, etc about my problem via text. We communicated more by text the following day and I was able to speak with Paul Castro so I could understand the process, possible costs and to be sure I had communicated my concerns through text clearly. On the day of service, the service tech (Shawn) arrived promptly, was very professional, did repairs/work very efficiently and quickly and explained everything very clearly.In my naivete, there were things that I thought would need to be done, but he gave me an honest assessment and only did what was necessary. Another company might have pushed through and taken advantage of my ignorance just to make more money, even if the work wasnt necessary. In the end, some of the work involved replacing light switch, wall outlet, and light fixture. Everything was done at a very reasonable price, too! Honestly, this was the best experience Ive had in ages. I cant recommend them highly enough. Im so lucky CES is in my area. I plan to use them for all of my electrical needs!

Any time the original plan could not be completed due to surprises found in the walls, ceiling and attic they kept us up to date and offered logical solutions. Even when projects took longer to complete than originally quoted, no additional charges were added. Our dog was also really pleased when the project manager brought her treats and gave her lots of pets. She gives them her highest rating of 5 paws and hopes we have a reason to hire them again.

    Paul Castro and his team installed and connected wiring for a swim spa in November, 2022. They connected a wire from an inside panel to an outdoor breaker. Then they pre-wired the breaker to a cement pad that would later house our swim spa.In April, after our swim spa arrived, Paul Castro and his team accommodated my request to connected the wires to the swim spa, just prior to family coming into town, even though they were very busy that day.After completing those tasks, however, the outdoor breaker would trip after the swim spa ran for an hour or so. We contacted Castro Electrical and they diligently, courteously and patiently worked to get the swim spa to eventually work properly. Although we were unable to enjoy the swim spa with my family from out of town, we appreciate that they tried to accommodate us and eventually completed their work well after diligently communicating with the manufacturer. The swim spa has functioned well since and we’ve enjoyed it for a few months now.

    Im a tough customer and stingy with compliments yet I highly recommend this business: excellent advice, quality work, honest, patient, flexible, prompt--everything you can ask for. They installed an ev charger for us. Along with the charger, I bought a whole-house energy monitor, which came without instructions. Castro went far beyond expectations: called the manufacturer to learn more about the monitor, added another electrician to our project, explained installation options to us, and scheduled additional time to perform the work at our convenience (working after hours to fit our schedule). It would have been fair to revisit the initial estimate but Castro stuck to their price. They have a customer for life.

    Pauls team was excellent. From the start the finish, the installation team did a wonderful job installing my new ceiling fan. They arrived 20 minutes early and as requested, they called vice ringing the door bell. As soon as they came in, they put on their shoe covers and talked with me about where i wanted the fan installed, the wiring, and switch placement. They then proceeded to cover all my furniture with plastic tarps and covered the floor with a large worth cloth. Once the prep work was done, they then got right down to work. They had to fish the wire through my ceiling and down my wall and only made 2 small square holes! I was fully expecting my ceiling to have at least 6-8 holes, but they managed to do it with only 2. Once the wire was fished through, it was just a matter of installing the new switch and the fan. After a quick test to confirm everything worked, they cleaned up nicely and we settled. Total time, 2 hours (start to payment). I will definitely be using them again.

    We had a need to have two dedicated outlets installed each on their own breaker. Unfortunately for us our house was only built with a 60amp panel so we would also have to upgrade the panel. He provided me a written quote on the spot and followed that up with an electronic quote.Once the new panel was chosen (I had a specific model in mind) Paul ordered it and had it shipped directly to my house. Once the panel was enroute he called to schedule the work. He was extremely flexible with my family’s busy schedule.Ten minutes before his crew was set to arrive they were already outside. I gave them a quick run down of where the two outlets needed to go and they got to work. The two workers were incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. Paul arrived shortly after they started to ensure each of the parts of the project was going to be completed. Paul’s guys knocked the whole thing out, two dedicated outlets with romex running from a second story attic down to the basement, a new panel, and few checkups and repairs from previous questionable work in under 8 hours.To say I’m impressed is an understatement.     We have contacted 4 contractors about Heavy up service and Castro offered the best price and they can do it the next day. Paul guided me through the whole process. They applied for electrical permit from the county, did the electrical work, submitted the paperwork to Pepco. Communication was seamless. I was cced all the email conversations between Pepco and me. And in 3 days the work is done. Took a few more days for Pepco to come and switch the box but thats on Pepco side. You need to follow up on Pepco in regards to that aspect.     During the sale of our home a few electrical issues came up, one was my buried service entrance pipe had come away from the meter box. Paul Castro was clear and concise about what the issue was and how to get it done. When it was realized that we would need to pull a permit to get Pepcos attention, Paul dropped what he was doing and got that permit going the next day, the county inspector was there within two days. Paul then rescheduled his electrician to match the inspectors schedule. He then worked with Pepco to get the pipe reconnected.     The insurance company for the condominium where I live required over 500 owners of individual apartments to replace their electrical boxes this year as a condition of renewing the condominium’s insurance policy next year. As part of the replacement, many owners had to move their electrical boxes in order to get a county permit for the replacement because the original electrical box location did not meet current electrical codes. We first called an electrical company who has done work for us in the past and they said that we would have to have kitchen cabinets taken off the wall before they could move and replace our electrical box. We then called Castro, who were recommended by many other residents of our building who had already had their electrical boxes moved and replaced, and they gave us an estimate that was significantly lower than the first contractor we talked to and that did not require us to remove cabinets from the wall. We signed a contract with Castro, they showed up as scheduled, ran the wires to move our electrical box location without removing any cabinets from the wall, and our new electrical box passed county permit inspection. Based upon this experience, I would definitely use Castro Electric again and I strongly recommend them to anyone who needs an electrician.

    We had to have a heavy up at one of our condos. I cant Thank Castro enough ! Patricia who sets up everything was absolutely amazing and helpful! And Carter who kept me informed on the whole process and updates was just so professional and kept me updated on the job and completion when it was passed for inspection. The whole process was easy and affordable. I got quotes from two other companies and were just much more pricy.
