Needed a roof hatch for our well house.(Well house was built without roof access) Derek was the only one to get back to me. He was able to build the cover and save us money over buying higher priced prefab hatch and installing it. In addition to the hatch, he repaired 2 toilets, leaking kitchen sink and installed a new shower head. If we are in need of any additional repairs, Derek will be my first choice.

Excellent, skilled, efficient repairmen across the board. Added bonus, Mr. Stroud is great with dogs. He brought mine inside the house when in started raining unexpectedly. Highly recommend for any service.

Mr. Stroud and his son finished a skirting job that my husband had started and just didn’t have time to get finished. They were professional, respectful, and very pleasant to be around even when the weather dropped to single digits. They did a great job and took pride in making sure that everything was done correctly. I’ve had some bad experiences recently with a couple people in the area, so I was hesitant, but had a good feeling about them from the start and they prove me right. We will definitely be hiring them again. Great guys!

Hes polite, clean and professional. Weve had Derek do several jobs for us and are happy with each one. Its as though hes doing it for himself. Hes a keeper!!!

I was searching for a local handyman for a bathroom remodel project my wife wanted done. My google search brought me to several websites. Derek was the choice I made and my wife and I could not be happier. Derek came the next afternoon to give us an estimate and it seemed very reasonable. He is really more than a handyman, he is a skillful craftsman and the professionalism shows in his work and his personal demeanor. I do highly recommend him to anyone looking for a courteous, trustworthy, reliable handyman.

I cant say enough wonderful things about Derek.The preferred vendor by our real estate agent just left my wife and I feeling like someone was trying to rip us off. After a frustrating night of wondering what our next steps should be I came across Dereks website. I saw he had great reviews so I contacted him.Derek responded very quickly and gave us an estimate based on the listed items we had. He put us on our schedule and when he came out we had a few more items to add to the list. We showed Derek all the items we needed fixed in person and discussed the new concerns we had. He talked to us about the process he would use to fix everything which made us feel better about the overall experience and not like we are being charged for a massive project when it wasnt one.Derek was extremely professional, polite and cleaned up after his work.While on the job he showed spoke to both my wife and I and explained the process he was doing. At one point he even stopped what he was doing and went to Lowes to get a tool to make sure he did the job correctly. Most people would have taken a short cut but he didnt.Overall I couldnt be more pleased with the service he provided. The price he charged us was leaps and bounds below what the other person quoted us.Thank you for all your help with getting our house in shape to list.

Derek absolutely ticks every box imaginable. He’s reliable, competent, and fair. A few years back, he was the fourth or fifth opinion I sought on trying to get a section of fence rebuilt that had collapsed on my property. Everyone else I talked to wanted to make the project 100x more complicated than it was, quoting me for a bunch of new materials, clearing old materials, and all sorts of other nonsense. Derek showed up, gave me a fair quote, and had the fence section rebuilt in an afternoon—at twice its former quality, and using a combination of the old materials and what he had on hand. He’s the kind of contractor who makes headaches go away without causing any fresh ones.
