5/27/24 at 5am a 200 year old 48” diameter tree fell on my house penetrating it and caused massive uncontrollable flooding. Approximately 4 hours later when the rain stopped D1 Roofing & Contracting had a crew out here, chopped tree and placed tarp so that me and my son had a safe place before the next rain began. On top of that, they are following up to do top notch renovations with me and my families safety at the highest priority. I highly recommend D1 Roofing & Contracting for any project you may require. Juan and his team understand the importance of family. I recommend this company for emergency work and any renovation job needed or any caliber of work needed. Can’t thank him and his team enough for making sure my family was safe. Top notch!!!

We were extremely impressed with the quality of D1 Contracting in a job well done with our roof replacement recently and the excellent help we had through Juan Pena in working with our insurance company and us to get this roof replacement completed. In the past we didnt have much luck with our insurance company to get the roof replaced, the insurance company was very difficult to work with. So I can tell you, I was very amazed and happy that Juan knows his roof contracting business well and was able to guide us through the process and make our new beautiful roof replacement finally happen! Very smooth service transaction. Juan addressed all my concerns and questions quickly and courteously. The paint crew guys were super nice and did a really nice and neat job and cleaned up very well. They cleaned, caulked, and fixed up my eaves and put cables wires all back in place. Took care of lots of other items I asked for too. Very happy with the quality of the job and the customer attention I got from Juan. Would definitely recommend D1 to my friends!

After Hurricane Katrina Juan completed an electrical job for my mother’s house, which required all new wiring. Juan was very knowledgeable about the work he performed. Juan was also very creative and informative. Nevertheless, years later I was in the market for an electrician. My my recommended Juan and his work spoke for itself. Ultimately Juan at the time was in high demand for his services and he referred me to his brother Carlos. Juan made sure I got the best quality work and I never had a problem with anything. Juan continued to check on me throughout the process, and he also continued to check on me and the work he validated for years after the work was completed. I really appreciated that, and didn’t know I was making a good friend. When he moved back to Texas, I called for another job during the August Flood in Baton Rouge. Juan offered to walk me through the insurance process, because once again he was in high demand. Needless to say, but I knew it was unreasonable for me to expect him to come from Texas to do my work, but that goes to show just how much I trusted the person and the quality product.

Highly Recommend is an understatement!!!D1 Contracting to the rescue once again! We used D1 Contracting for a roof replacement last year 2018 due to hail. We had a massive hail storm March 24, 2018. Due to hail we had some cracked windows and immediately I called Juan. His crew arrived in a timely manner took care of our emergency repairs. Not only did they help my family out but also helped more than 25 neighbors that night. Some families had leaks and broken windows. The D1 crew helped each family until all emergency repairs were complete. They literally worked until 3:30 AM.If youre looking for a roofing company that has integrity and provides quality these are the guys to call. Juan and his team go above and beyond. The quality of work is beyond outstanding! Most of my neighbors had leaks in the attic. Our home had zero leaks! D1 Contracting once again thank you all so much and your hard work is definitely valued!!My family has found a roofing company/contractor for life!!! Wish we could give these guys more than 5 stars.

We have enjoyed excellent service from Juan and his team. So much so, that we have used him for restoration from the last two major storms. Juan goes above and beyond to provide his customers with the most service at the lowest possible cost to the homeowner. We will always use D-1 for our storm restoration and roofing needs. Very satisfied.

We had a hail storm in 2104 and were told we had little or no damage after several inspections. This surprised us since all or our neighbors were having their roofs replaced. Juan with D1 knocked on our door 6 months later and requested to do an inspection, he discovered alot of damage and set up a joint inspection with the insurance adjuster. After the inspections the insurance company approved a replacement. Juan handled all the details and was very persistent in all aspects. He also quickly addressed a couple of minor quality issues. We were very pleased with his service and highly recommend him. We plan to use him for any future roofing projects.

After considerable hail damage to my roof and house a couple days ago, I am in the claim process. The service and assistance that Juan at D1 has provided so far has been outstanding. He has walked me through the entire process. As we walked the property he helped me identify damage that I would never have recognized. Neighbors that used D1 said that he helped them get the most money possible from their claim by pointing these same damages out to the insurance adjuster. So far the experience has been fantastic. I will update once the work is done.

Mr. Juan Peña from D1 Contracting is as good as they get. If you want someone that is going to advocate for you with the insurance company, someone that will inspect your home damage with precision and detail, he is your man. Mr. Peña will explain the entire process, will review all the damages, and will be transparent on all that it will take to get the job done. Not only that, but he will go the extra mile. When he was working on my parents’ home, Mr. Peña took it upon himself to drive my father to the bank to help finalize some insurance paperwork that needed to get done, and we were not familiar with.Do I recommend Mr. Peña and D1 Contracting for your home insurance claims? 200%, with my eyes closed. I have never come across someone as knowledgeable and willing to share as him.

We did have a problem with the painter that didnt get the texturing right, but Juan was here right away to look at what we were complaining about. He saw that the texturing was way off and got another painter out here in under 48 hours to fix the problem. Now the repairs are completely invisible. Everything matches so well the ceilings and walls look like they were completed at the same time as the surrounding areas. The roofers were done replacing our entire roof in 1 day. Thats over 2500 square feet of roof pulled off, damaged particle board replaced, entire roof replaced, and vents put in place between 8 am and 5 pm the same day. That included removing ALL of the trash. It was amazingly fast, clean, and beautifully done. The gutters and exterior paint looked gorgeous for a whole 6 days until mother nature pummeled everything with more hail. This time worse than the hail storm that caused the first damage. Juan came back out immediately, conceded defeat to mother nature (even with the upgraded roofing we had him install 6 days earlier), and is helping us with our newest claim. He is there from the first insurance visit, through all of the repairs, and for the the insurance to get you the depreciation they hold back in the beginning. He makes sure you dont pay a penny more than you have to. He makes the whole process quick, clean, beautiful, and painless.

These guys are dedicated and honest professionals. We had hail and heavy rain that damaged most of our roofs and broke window glasses. D1 contracting showed up immediately the same day even though it was Sunday night and started putting temporary fixes from further water damage to our house. They also helped all the neighbors in our community starting from 10 pm at night until 4 am in the morning to make sure everyone is safe as it was raining all night. Juan and the D1 Team were excellent to work with and I highly recommend them! I met Juan just after a terrible hail storm that destroyed my roof and put holes through my decking. My insurance company pushed back and disagreed with the amount of damage. Juan came in and worked directly with my insurance adjustor and insurance company. He handled all documentation, communication with the insurance company, and reduced the noise of the situation while I was work. During the first sit down meeting, Juan explained the step by step process and set realistic expectations regarding the time each step would take. Juan kept the process moving and regularly provided updates on the progress. I was extremely satisfied with his team’s work and I would definitely use them again in the future!
