From start to finish my experience was 100% positive. The designer had great suggestions when I didn’t know what to do and supported the choices I had already made. All of the sub contractors were courteous and went over the top to keep the workspace clean and safe. Communication was on point and many of the repairs/updates were completed ahead of schedule. The showroom was an added bonus to be able to “shop” for all of the upgrades I wanted. I highly recommend HG&Co.

I loved working with HG&Co - they did a great job listening on our budget and design ideas for our kitchen reno and master bathroom expansion! The execution was well-done - the quality of the work was great, and responsiveness from our project manager Nathan was amazing. When unexpected issues came up (as they always do with an older, 50s house) - HG quickly communicated options and helped us think through solutions that made sense and werent crazy expensive. At the end of the day, theyre neighbors and I trust them to make things right - which is so valuable for reno and took a lot of stress out of the process!

HG & Co. did an amazing job renovating our primary bathroom. I’m a first time renovator, and I’m very pleased with my experience. They were attentive to my needs, and provided consistent weekly updates on progress. I trusted our project manager, and I knew he had our best interest at heart. HG & Company did a great job bringing my 1956 bathroom into the 21st century! I knew Herman Guerra was trustworthy, which is why I reached out to him for this remodel that I had put off doing for years. Herman has high expectations and it’s evident in the quality of work his team provides. Herman’s in-home consultation provided me with details of the scope of the bathroom project plus interior painting and drywall repair throughout my house. He gave me an accurate estimate for anticipated costs for the total project. Jade and Lydia helped me with design choices that not only fit my budget, but also looked great once installed. All of the workers were respectful and professional, with a special shout out to Santos, who took care of several projects for me. The bathroom looks awesome and the drywall/paint throughout my house has given it a fresh new look. Herman personally made sure I was completely satisfied with the final paint color as well as the overall project. When I had concerns they were immediately addressed to my satisfaction. HG & Co. did an amazing job transforming the main bathroom of our house into a marvelous space, and removing pop corn ceiling and painting ceilings in several rooms in the house. They have a set of vendors that have outstanding quality. I only have positive things to say about them, all of the people that came in to do tile, AC, plumbing, carpenters, electricians and painting were professional, courteous and on time. During all the process David Walter kept great communication with us, going above and beyond in several occasions. Herman Guerra has built a great team that excels in customer service and quality, but most importantly, they give you what you need, not what they want to sell like other companies. And Santos, he is the best. Attention to detail to the max! We are super happy with the end product and they will definitely be my go to company for any future projects. Bottom line here, if you want your home renovation project done right the first time, HG Construction will do it. My project was a complete kitchen and master bathroom gut and flip. They were extremely professional every step of the way and I truly felt like they cared about my home. I even lived in it during the process and their workers made sure they cleaned up each day as best as they could to ensure it was safe for me to live in the house during construction. The team with HG had great communication and were easy to get in touch with for any of my questions, changes, or concerns. They use an app that is helpful to follow the scheduling and updates throughout the project so that everyone stays on the same page. Besides logistically being great to work with, the quality of the work was top notch. I almost tear up every time I see my new kitchen! Highly recommend this company to work with if you are wanting a reliable, efficient, and caring team to get your projects done.

My husband and I used HG & CO to turn our detached garage into a livable space with a full bathroom. Weve previously used another contractor to do some remodeling for the inside of our house, and were not impressed with the quality. I found this company online and was immediately impressed with Herman. His team did a very thorough job converting our garage. The work was very well done, and Hermans team responded to our concerns and additional requests throughout the whole project. HG&Co. delivers an outstanding service, high quality work, and possesses the knowhow to get the job done right. After the job they just did it would difficult to go with anyone else for our next home improvement/renovation. I would not hesitate to recommend these guys to anyone.Our 1954 home was in desperate need of some modern day improvements that I honestly didnt have the time or heart to tear into myself. Specifically our soffits were in rough shape, likely installed with the house in 1954, they were barely hanging on, requiring caulking each year, paint so thick it was beginning to pull off in sheets, riddled with inadequate venting with various soffit vents of different sizes and varieties that were too few and poorly spaced, and in desperate need of replacing. To improve the ventilation I wanted all the soffits replaced with a continuous perforated, smooth hardieboard installed around the house that I know will last a lifetime. In addition, to ensure proper ventilation I wanted attic baffles added, ridge vents to be cut and whirlybirds removed. And to top it all off, I wanted to add some aesthetic improvements by adding some new cedar columns, extending the look of the ship lapped siding across the front porch ceiling, and adding soffit downlighting across the exterior of the house.After talking to a number of companies I decided to give HG&Co. a call and was immediately impressed. They did not over promise, actually understood the project, have experience working on these more challenging older homes, were transparent about potential hiccups/additional costs, and though not the cheapest bid gave me the confidence that they knew how to get the job done right. They did an absolutely outstanding job. All of their crews were courteous and professional, and though there were a few minor hiccups here and there, they always came out and fixed it to my full satisfaction.HG&Co. gets the job done the right way, and I look forward having a mind at ease knowing the job was done right and the house will be better for it!

Our Plano house had a leak in the master bath shower. It required that the bottom of the shower be demo’d and a new shower pan be installed along with matching tile.I talked to 4 other companies before I was recommended Herman’s services by a friend of ours. Herman took a consultative approach and provided me a price that I think was completely fair. The other contractors suggested cutting corners while still charging me as much as Herman did.We had a few minor concerns regarding the installation of the tile, and a quick call to Herman (he’s very responsive on the phone) quickly rectified the issues to my liking. We will definitely be using Herman’s services in the future.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Hermann and his team for a second time. When water started dripping into my garage from the ceiling, I knew I needed serious help. Hermanns team discovered that the shower had been improperly built leading to a slow leak that ended up rotting the beams and joists below the shower and eventually coming through the ceiling below. They were able to provide a clear vision of what to expect during the repair work which included demoing and rebuilding the bathroom and garage ceiling. What truly stands out, and why Ill keep calling on the HG team, is that theyre punctual, respectful and excellent at communicating what to expect during each phase of the project. Thats super important considering the high stress of dealing with an unexpected mess like this. Speaking of messes, they left the work area spotless at the end of each day and the quality at the end of the project was fantastic! I would wholeheartedly recommend Hermann and team for any home reno needs!Original post from October 2021:I was referred to HG & Co and Herman from the Lakewood FB page for a new electronic gate installation. The process was as smooth as you could hope for. It started out with a site visit. He explained, in detail, what would need to take place (e.g. run a slab of concrete the length of the gate so I wouldnt have settling issues, trench and run electrical condiut, pour a small slab for the mechanical box to sit on, etc). I appreciated the detail he provided so that we were both aligned on the project.Once we decided to move forward, the different crews were called in and each crew came on time and were incredibly polite and thorough. They were very forward-thinking in their approach. For example, they made sure the bottom track did not run the entire length of my driveway so that I can easily move the trash bins down to the street and back without having to haul them over the tracks AND so that my mother doesnt have a tripping hazard when walking down the driveway.The gate is by far the crowning jewel of my house. I would 10/10 recommend!

We are very pleased in our decision to hire HG&CO for our master bath remodel. Herman, the owner, is an excellent communicator, attentive and has a great eye for design (which was an area we welcomed!). Herman and team were very efficient in sourcing and requesting several samples to help us find the perfect floor and shower tiles. They found a beautiful terrazzo tile that were still over the moon about. Their granite guy cut us a custom countertop for our vanity. The crew is very talented and kept a tidy work space for the duration of the project. We highly recommend HG&CO to all our friends and family!

So glad we hired HG &Co. We had quite a few updates we needed to make to our house before we listed it. They helped us navigate getting our roof replaced, helped with the insurance claim, and it was done in a day!They sanded and painted our siding, installed a range hood in our kitchen, installed new door knobs and locks and resurfaced and painted our textured ceiling in the living room. They were friendly, finished on time and we’re excellent in communicating costs and answering any questions I had, of which there were many. When we listed our house, we got 10 offers in 48 hours all over asking! Ryan and Herman and there team were wonderful and I am already getting quotes for them to help us on more projects at our next home. Wonderful company, highly recommend!

In 2020, I had a neighbors tree fall and damage my home. I immediately called Herman at HG and got lined up. The process was fast. He immediately wrote the estimate so I could submit it to my neighbors home owners insurance company. The quality of the work that his subs provide is excellent. Replacing a roof/gutters due to hail storm and working with home insurance and roofing company can be very overwhelming. I felt a trust from HG right from the first meeting. Other roofers I interviewed, some I could tell told me not to worry about my deductible and other made it so confusing on how they price out the work and deal with the insurance company l felt lost and not confident. HG did everything they said they would do, very professional, great workmanship, and left the job site spotless! Great job!!

Herman and the HG crew helped us completely remodel a house in Richardson, TX. It was a full-house, months-long project, replacing flooring and windows across the entire house, painting and repairing every wall in the house, and rebuilding a kitchen and three bathrooms. The house looks absolutely great now, and we couldnt imagine going through the process with anyone else.From the initial walkthrough and all the way through the project, Herman was respectful of our needs and wishes, open and understanding when communicating with us, able to think outside the box and problem solve with us, and very professional and prompt when work started - personally there with the crew at the house most days of each week. He was able to help with the planning process, keep us to our budget, and his checklists meant we were all on the same page all the way through.The work was well done, his crew was professional throughout, and we even had their help with several things that were outside the original scope of work. HG&Co did a fantastic job for us! They replaced the tile in our kitchen and bonus room as well as added built ins! Everyone was extremely timely and communicated very well especially compared to other contractors we’ve worked with in the past.

Herman/David team work hard to meet expectations. This project was a conversion of bath tub to a zero curb entry tiled shower with a fixed glass frameless panel and a linear drain. Although there were a few hiccups along the way and the project took longer to complete than expected, in the end everything got resolved to our satisfaction and we have a beautiful shower. I would deduct half a star because no project is trouble free and for the time to complete.
