I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Lee and his partner today, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment they arrived, they were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. They took the time to answer every question I had, even offering insights and suggestions for things I hadn’t considered yet, which really gave me confidence in their expertise.What truly set them apart, though, was their generosity. When I mentioned an additional task, they didn’t hesitate to offer to handle it that same day—and they insisted on doing it for free! They explained that since it was raining and they didn’t have another job scheduled, they were happy to help.Their combination of skill, professionalism, and kindness is rare to find. If you’re looking for a carpenter who goes above and beyond, I highly recommend First Carpentry.

I had booked Mr. Lee to expand my pantry and replace the shelves. Based on the reviews, I was willing to wait as long as needed to get him out to work on it. I was very lucky that he had an opening, and I now have a completely breathtaking functional pantry that replaces the old one.Mr. Lee is absolutely a perfectionist and does incredible work. His level of detail and craftsmanship shows in every piece, from picking wood for the shelves to the very careful cleanup. He was transparent about everything in the process, including the time needed, adjustments to the reference photo I provided, and his recommendations.He cleaned every space in a way that makes me want to start cleaning more to make it match how pristine he left the workspace. He was early everyday and worked diligently. I hope I can find more carpentry work needed for my home because he is stellar.

Mr Lee is the best craftsman in town. Stairs and wood in the front was rotten and needed to be replaced. He is very detail in his work and does an amazing job fixing our house. Glad we found him.

Lee is a first-rate carpenter and craftsman. I am more than happy with the beautiful built-in bench he made for my den. He helped walk me through why my initial idea for the bench was problematic, and its because of his input and expertise that I changed up my design and ended up with a final product that is so much better than what I initially had in mind. Lee was a pleasure to work with and you know you are dealing with someone who knows their craft. Thanks Lee!

I am not in the habit of writing recommendations, but in the case of Mr. Lee, I feel compelled to do so. I hired Mr. Lee to remodel my kitchen and to reconfigure the kitchen windows in my condo. He provided me with an accurate and honest assessment of what needed to be done and a fair price to do the work. Not only does his work reflect the highest level of craftsmanship, he always shows up when promised and leaves the work site immaculate at the end of the work day, leaving my home looking cleaner than when he arrived. If you are ever in need of a handyman who is honest, punctual and respectful of your property and who does superior work, I would recommend you call Mr., Lee.

If youre looking for a meticulous, professional, thoughtful and trustworthy carpenter who does high-end work for a fair price, Lee is the man for your job.We bought a great 1968 home that was in need of exterior help. It has cool exposed beams, but they had become rotten as well as much of the exterior fascia from years of neglect. What we really wanted was a carpenter and a craftsman to make repairs and apply a new coat of paint with the attention to detail that the home deserved. Lee made that happen.He fixed the rotten beams out front and sealed them to prevent them from rotting in the future. He fixed all of the rotten and squirrel-chewed fascia around the house. He even added additional details to the trim work to prevent future water damage and to improve its appearance.The house now looks amazing... We were so impressed, we asked if he would give us an estimate on a tile install for our entryway. Not only did he give us an estimate, but did the install while he was here. We had received other estimates, but were nervous about amateur installers because of difficult transition pieces. Lee made it work perfectly. The tile work is awesome and the fit with those tricky transitions is perfect.You know when you think, as soon as we get ____ done, the house will look amazing? After Lees exceptional work our home is there now, it looks incredible.I cannot recommend him enough. His work is thorough and detailed. He is patient and listens to his clients. His prices are fair.I would recommend Lee to anyone and will definitely be calling him again when I need a professional, high-end, carpenter.

As others have shared, Lee is a highly-skilled and professional craftsman. We had some large wood bay windows that were quite old with wood rot beneath the paint on the mullions. Lee carefully replaced all the rotted pieces saving us from installing new windows. In addition, he replaced some other rotted wood areas needing attention. After his painting (which matched perfectly) you cannot tell there was a repair. On time and on budget.

We initially contacted Lee to repair and paint our screened-in back porch. When we saw the quality of his workmanship, we asked him to paint our garage doors and several other areas on the front of the house. We also prevailed upon him to repair the sweep under our shower door, replace an old doorknob, repaint our front door, and do interior paint touch-ups.Lee’s work is impeccable and precise, reflecting an unsurpassed level of craftsmanship. His attention to detail will satisfy the most demanding client. He does not cut corners or take shortcuts.Lee innovates solutions to thorny problems. On our back porch, the bottom boards of the frame surrounding the screens had rotted, because rainwater collected in the narrow space between the screen and the wood and had no way to escape. Instead of simply replacing the boards, he inserted shims at the bottom to allow water to escape to the outside, and caulked the inside so that no insects can enter. This way, the board will not rot again in a few years and require the job to be redone. In one space, the screen itself was slightly torn, and he meticulously repaired it with super glue to avoid the cost of a new screen.Lee has a sterling work ethic. He arrived on time (even early) and worked tirelessly in potentially dangerous north Texas summer heat to get the job done. He came back even after the jobs were finished and made final adjustments to make sure we were totally satisfied. He cleaned up the sites meticulously as well.Lee charges fairly for what he does. Other carpenters/painters may charge less, but Lee is worth every penny for your peace of mind at having a job done definitively and 100% to your liking. He is alsovery courteous and easy to get along with. We enthusiastically recommend him to any homeowner.

Lee is one of the most skilled and capable carpenters in the business. His promptness, precision and quality are unmatched and ability in regards to problem solving set him above the rest. He is also extremely honest about any job and the prices and materials required.Our firm hired him to create a large number of complex custom store display props for a worldwide fashion and jewelry manufacturer. With his engineering experience, he was not only able to reproduce them in large numbers but he also produced them flawlessly. In fact, his work was seen by others who believed the pieces were created by CNC machines and said such work could not be made by hand.So, I HIGHLY recommend Lee and First Carpentry for any carpentry, repair and fabrication jobs. He has a degree of craftsmanship (and a kind attitude) that is rare these days and worth every penny.
