    This was our third time using Hands 4 Hire. They responded to our request quickly, and we had a quote within 24 hours. The quote was reasonable for the work they provided. We required drywall and baseboard replacement, as well as painting. Leroy S. was our contractor, and his work was impeccable. He showed up on time and was professional and efficient. He has a great attention to detail. I would definitely recommend Hand 4 Hire for most household fixes. I will definitely use them again.

    I had a wonderful experience with Hands4Hire. Their estimate price was within $100. of the final price they quoted for enlarging a bathroom entrance. The technician, Randy, was very knowledgeable with his electrical and carpentry skills and achieved a near match to the other doors in my home. He was courteous, respectful, and nicest man Ive ever had do work in or around my home. This company definitely deserves to be in the Charlotte/Concord Best Pick Reports (Quality Home Services Guide).

    The initial contact is smooth as Meredith is very polite and the free estimate with Jim went very well. He went through the process in a detailed way and offered a very reasonable price. I received message one hour before the handyman is on his way. Leroy showed up a bit earlier and finished the job sooner than estimated time so the final price is a little cheaper than the original estimate. Leroy did a good job and cleaned the site before he left. Highly recommended!

    The Repair: Wood rot on trim around 2 dormers. The Quote Request: Seamless - requested repair online, response the next day, scheduled the estimator within a week and was always told to have a great day at the end of the thread of emails - made me smile :) The Estimator: Cant remember his name but he was excellent - prompt, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, thoroughly explained the process so no surprises. The Handyman: Cordell H. was our handyman and he was excellent, too. Prompt, friendly, courteous, knowledgeable, focused on the job, and kept us informed - what he encountered and his plan to repair it; when he would be back, what he was going to do and how long he expected it to take. Well admit the initial quote gave us pause but when all was said and done we paid $200 less than the quote, had a GREAT experience and are very satisfied with the repair.

    Randy arrived on time, is friendly, courteous and above all, helpful! He completed both tasks fairly quickly but also carefully and the cost was very reasonable. I called for help on Wednesday and Randy was here on Friday. I definitely recommend Randy and Hands 4 Hire and will feel extremely comfortable using their services in the future.

They were very responsive, listened to our needs, and made sure everything was completed correctly and in a timely manner. We had doors removed and new ones installed, and drywall repaired/installed.     Another successful project completed for us by H4H on 4/23/24. We needed to replace our weathered front porch posts, but didnt like what was available at the local home improvement stores. H4H used a picture we found online and made us something similar to use for our project. BILLY worked hard to create exactly what we wanted. THEY LOOK GREAT.     It was our first time using Hands4Hire Professional Handymen. We needed our kitchen cabinets altered for our new range to fit. The ladies in the office were very helpful in scheduling us a time for someone to come out and give us an estimate. Mike came out and he explained how the work would be done. He took his time and answered all our questions. We were sent an estimate within a day or two. They are very reasonable in their pricing. David was the handyman who came out to our house. He was absolutely awesome! He arrived on time, was very professional, knowledgeable, and did an amazing job cutting our cabinets, and installing our range. I would give him 10 stars if possible, We do plan to use Hands4Hire again if we need anything else done. I would definitely recommend them if you need a handyman!

    Im a retiree who purchased an older (built in 87) home last year. Weve found several issues since moving in, and called H4H twice. First for a minor repair to some outdoor masonry. Then to fix a leak on our outdoor veranda, which was causing some wood rot above the area in the photo. Both jobs were done exactly as we expected. Ive already spoken with Them about several more jobs wed like to take care of. Two thumbs up.

    They replaced an exterior 2-panel door with a sliding glass door. It was tricky in that they needed to keep the glass transom above the door and re-use it. Took 2 days but that include trim and paint. Good job and great cleanup.

    Hands4Hire did a number of jobs for us recently, including tearing out the old backsplash in our kitchen and retiling it with a beautiful herringbone marble pattern; taking down the poorly-done stones over the fireplace and getting it paint-ready, replacing cabinet sides that were peeling, and putting new trim under our new countertop. Dale especially did a fabulous job on the backsplash and we were so happy with his careful work and attention to detail. We also appreciated the hard work of Freddy and Rod, to get all the updates done and work around our schedule. Carrie, who schedules the work, is so friendly and gracious on the phone. I recommend this business wholeheartedly, and when we are ready to renovate our master bathroom, theyre the first ones I will call.

    Our Carpenter Jacob arrived on time to repair our outside door frame to our deck from dry rot.to a corner of one side of the door frame but it turned out the builder had tied the door frame on all 4 sided so he had to take the whole frame apart to repair it. He worked for hours just to get it right and we are so happy with the results. It looks great and the door never worked so good. The whole experience with this organization was stress free and Cassie my contact made the whole experience a good one. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

    Mike S. was wonderful. I had two different house repairs that needed completed, reattaching flashing at my roof and realigning gutters to prevent a water leak.     Where do I start.. What an AMAZING guy. My friends and I came up to winter park from Golden, Co to experience it’s beauty, just to get stuck in DEEP snow, in a ditch late at night. We came back in the morning to get some sand and Zack offered to help pull us out with his large truck before we had to purchase anything. He got us hooked up to his tow strap and pulled us out in less than 5 minutes! You don’t meet people like this very often. He asked for nothing in return. What a guy. VERY kind, EXTREMELY helpful. Saved us hundreds of dollars on getting a tow truck. So grateful for him this weekend. 10/10.

    Hands4Hire was a great choice for us! From our estimator, Jim, to our two service men, Mike and Ryan, everything was handled in a very professional, quality manner. Jim, listened and suggested ways to fix our issues, provided a timely estimate (job actually came in lower than estimated). Mike and Ryan arrived on the day promised and on time (new experience for us). Went over details of estimate and got to work immediately. In one case provided a perfect alternative to a problem encountered with one of our ideas. Worked with barely a break and finished all work in two days! The results were far above and beyond our expectations! One of the best (if not the BEST) experience we have had with a contractor since we moved to NC 3 years ago!

    I needed my gutters cleaned and my back steps replaced. I reached out to Hand4Hire and immediately received a response from Brittany. Jim was able to come out the following week (it was after Christmas weekend, so I didnt mind the slight delay) and provided me with a fair estimate. He also provided me with alternate quotes in case I wanted to adjust the work to be done (i.e., to have the steps painted or not). I set up the appointment, and Cordell and Mike S both arrived on time. Cordell went straight to work and finished the gutters within the hour. Mike began rebuilding the steps and raced against the incoming rain. Luckily, he was able to finish and the new steps are amazing! Sturdy, well-built, and look fantastic, so thank you Mike! I also want to say thank you to Carrie. She was professional and quick to respond to my all my questions. Overall, my experience with the entire team at Hand4Hire was fantastic, and Id gladly recommend them to anyone who needs work done around their house!

    We had Hands for Hire move very heavy furniture to and from trucks to an upper level including 18 steps.The men arrived promptly. They were positive and anxious in any way to help.     I received the Best Pick Reports Quality Home Services Guide in the mail. I was in search of a handyman in order to do a few projects for me around the house. Hands4hire was the only professional handyman listed. This was Hands4hire’s 2nd year as Best Pick. I called them and asked for a estimate on the cost of the work that I was wanting to have done. I emailed them pictures and received an estimate. Within a week David Shew came out and did an awesome job! The work was completed in 2 hours.     Asked Hands4Hire to install two garage door openers. Of course one was faulty. They had the owner show up to try and fix. He communicated directly with the manufacturer to get a replacement. When that piece didn’t solve, I returned the unit for another. This one did work!The technician Michael is fantastic! Great communication skills and workmanship! And he’s a Vet so kudos to H4H for hiring veterans!Will use them again and recommend them highly!

    Cordell Houppert did an amazing and timely job installing 3 kayak pulley systems, he not only installed the systems, but showed me how to use them and put the kayaks up for me!     Jim repaired multiple pieces of siding that had been removed for work behind it. For our bathroom remodel, Mike S removed all old stubborn textured wallpaper and also repaired some soffit that was dislodged. Dale skim coated and painted bathroom walls. All work was exceptional. All three gentlemen were prompt, professional, friendly, and cleaned up after the repairs. It was nice to see people constantly work hard with few breaks to get it done. Diane in the office was very helpful. This was our first time using Hands4Hire and will definitely call them again. We highly recommend them.

He made necessary adjustments to our existing frame in order for it to hang properly as frame was not perfectly straight/plumb, through no fault of his own.     Cordell H installed a new TV mount in a bedroom, unmounted a TV from the living room and placed it in the new mount. He also mounted another TV in the living room.     Hands4Hire replaced a faucet for us. The work was good. The tech was friendly and competent.Hands4Hire did get us scheduled for a next day service upon request which we really(!) appreciated. We unfortunately had to change that to the following day. The appointment window provided was from 10-12. I called after 12 to be told that they were running behind and the window was going to be 12-2.They did good work. They were friendly and accommodating.My only beef is that they knew they were short a tech due to a call in and there was no proactive communication regarding that our tech was (predictably) going to be running later than scheduled.I think small businesses make mistakes by not being cognizant and considerate of their customers time and schedules. Conversations may be difficult, but customers would be happier knowing than cooling their heels, potentially missing work. The former, I can work with. The latter will generally send me to a different provider who might try to minimize the inconvenience they cause.Everyone is aware that staffing is a problem right now. Lack of communication regarding predictable delays does not have to be. 5-star review other than communication.

    Michael S was promptly on time, professional, friendly and with utmost attention to detail in making sure our washer and dryer were installed level and secure on the pedestal drawers we purchased. Washer and dryers are usually louder and wobble more when on a pedestal, but the washer is so level and so perfectly placed that its nearly whisper quiet now...     Definitely recommend Hands4Hire. The entire process from working with the front office staff to the actual repairs went smoothly and without issue. The estimate provided was detailed and easy to understand. Jim Borgia is absolutely fantastic - he did everything from repairing a water damaged ceiling and replacing support posts in the attic to replacing light fixtures and hanging shelves. He has an easy-going personality with a great attitude. Will definitely be requesting him for future work!

    They just replaced my large back deck for me. Timely quote and were good with communication throughout the process. Transparent about cost and any associated changes. Mike and Cordell were respectful of our property and asked for feedback.
