    I sent Burke Electric a note via Facebook Messenger on the evening of Sunday 12/22/24. Josh replied within minutes with an appointment request for me to complete. I then submitted my contact info.I grounded out an outlet and it caused an issue in a line in the garage. Garage doors and refrigerator would not work but some lights did work. Other lights were dim. As a precaution, I turned off the breaker to the garage.Josh fit me into his schedule for the next day which was 2 days before Christmas. He found the problem and it was a burned up wire. Josh made the repair and put everything back into order as it was.Josh is very knowledgeable about aluminum wiring.I will be calling Burke Electric for more electrical work to be done on our house.

    Helpful and honest! I contacted Burke electric with my house electric going dim then bright and flickering. Josh looked at photos and directed me on opening a case with my electric provider who showed up same day and fixed the issue! Im betting most would have come to my house and charged me time and labor and I would have paid because I didnt know what the problem was. So very nice to know there are helpful, honest companies out there and I wont hesitate to contact Burke for any other problems or projects.

    TLDR: I highly recommend Burke Electric. Josh did excellent work, and was diligent, clean, on time, and affordable.I called Burke Electric the Saturday before Christmas when the outlet our Christmas tree was plugged into suddenly stopped working. In addition to that outlet, several other dining room outlets had stopped working. Josh was kind enough to squeeze me into his day, noting that he wanted to get things working for us in time for the holiday.Josh worked diligently to troubleshoot and find the issue — some loose wiring in a tiny nook behind the kitchen cabinets. He repaired that issue and went above and beyond to fix a few other minor issues that were clearly the result of the shoddy workmanship of the previous homeowner.The work required moving some furniture and appliances. He also had to partially disassemble a lazy Susan to access some wiring behind the cabinets. Everything was returned to its original place and in working order before he left.Josh did an excellent job. He was quick but thorough. His pricing was affordable. And he did a wonderful job explaining things to me. He was also great with my two large and excitable dogs.I will 100% call Burke Electric for any future electrical work. 11/10 Highly recommend.

    Josh and his team replaced our electric panel, installed a new entry way light fixture, bathroom exhaust fan, and some general electrical wiring/fuse troubleshooting in our recently bought home. We had a very favorable experience from start to finish. Highly recommend due to his expertise knowledge and quality of work.

    We have used Josh and his crew for numerous jobs including installing recessed lighting, installing an entrance cable, installing outlets in the garage, upgrading a panel box, installing lighting in the entranceway and dining room, installing ceiling fans, and installing vent fans in two bathrooms. Josh is responsive, pays attention to detail, and his prices are fair. Josh is the only electrician that we use for electrical projects and highly recommend him for any electrical job you may have.

    Burke Electric has done great work for us at two different locations. I appreciate the timely responses and their quality of work. Ted was the original owner who handed the keys of the business to his son Josh who been running it very well. We have always had great experience working with this family. In todays day and age, it is hard to find good and reliable people but when you do, stick with them.

    Josh and team not only know what they’re doing, they know how to treat their customers. I learned of Josh through Google and Facebook, and have since had several jobs done. Let’s see … there was smoke detector installation, a weird problem with some light bulbs and a new outlet. All completed professionally and efficiently. Now, there’s no one else I’d call.I know it’s hard to trust reviews, but rest assured I’m someone who always tells it like it is. Reach out to Josh when you need something. You won’t regret it.

    Josh showed up a couple hours after I called, right when he said he would. He diagnosed our problem, then quickly and efficiently fixed it. Josh took pictures and explained everything he did. He even refused to put his shoes on inside the house even though I told him it was ok to leave them on. Highly recommend Burke Electric. We will use them for any issues moving forward.

    I am very happy with the overall service that Mr. Burke and his employees provided to me. The project was long and tedious because my entire office building (due to its age) had to be re-wired, along with some side projects as well.Mr. Burke’s attitude was great and caring as other renovations were happening in the office.I would without a doubt recommend Mr. Burke’s company to anyone out there in the commercial/business space as they can thoroughly complete just about any project given to them.To those that are concerned about pricing, I would say this…I had reached out to 3 other electricians to receive a quote for my building and Mr. Burke’s pricing was the fairest out of everyone.I am pleased with your service, Mr. Burke.     If you want electrical work done in the Pittsburgh area, look no further. They demonstrate professionalism at the utmost highest quality in craftsmanship which is rare today with contractors.     Awesome job! Josh from Burke electric was able to figure out the issue with my light fixture. He quickly removed an old ballast and set up the light fixture so a ballast was no longer needed. Good communication from beginning to end. Definitely will use again.

    I called Ted Burke and asked for a whole house generator install, he gave me a time he was coming out to survey the project and I gave him a time frame I would like to have it done by. Ted delivered by doing the job well in advance of my time frame and worked around my schedule to fit my needs. He explains everything and does a very thorough job in making sure you understand what you are getting. New whole house generator, new upgraded electric panel and transfer switch at a very reasonable price, plus it will add value to the house. Thanks Ted and Josh, your work is very appreciated!

    Burke Electric is a joy to work with. Ted stopped out today after we reached out Sunday afternoon and discovered that we had a slightly larger issue than we were aware of.     When youre in need of a quality electric company, you cant go wrong with Burke Electric.Their site says 24/7, called last night around 10 pm and received a message back shortly after that saying theyd be there first thing the next morning. Josh and Chris showed up and provided expert, professional services. There was no back and forth about trying for a work around, shortcuts or any upcharge just bc there was an opportunity to make money. The dryer had its receptacle but there wasnt electricity being supplied to that outlet. They rang the lines out, checked for tones and rewired as needed to function properly to code. Very personable, down to earth with a vast electrical acumen that Ive not seen in a long time.If you want to be ignored with no call back, someone that cant get back to you for at least a week or have someone quote you a ridiculous amount of money for things not needed, call anyone else.If you want quality work, reasonably priced with a company that works effectively, dont miss out on Burke Electric; hire them for your next job, you wont be disappointed!

    Sooo happy with the service that Josh provided. When we called for an estimate he made time for us right away. From the initial estimate to the completion of the project was under 2 weeks. His price was better than others that I had gotten estimates from and within a much quicker time frame. He also arrived when he said he was going to be at the house and finished within the timeframe he gave. Of his own accord, he did not wear shoes in the house or he put bags over his shoes as to not make a mess. At the end he asked to use our broom and dust pan to clean any debris he and his helper may have tracked in. He is very nice.

    Was the only business that responded out of 7 or so that I called on Sunday to help restore power to our major kitchen appliances and dryer. He came out within an hour after he called me back and diagnosed and fixed the issue quickly. Didnt overcharge and didnt give us any kind of runaround.     The reason I called Josh, a Master Electrician, was his knowledge of ethernet cables, connectivity, and troubleshooting a home warranty assigned electricians work.All the other companies I discussed category 8 ethernet with would either not know what I was talking about or say I didnt need it. I spent allot of time researching my network and I dont have time to explain it to anyone let alone an Electrician. I spent more time explaining the restrictions of wall plates, why I need at least category 7 ethernet, and how one bottleneck ruins the network. The electricians did not have any idea what I was saying. Normally this would cause a huge bottle neck going from cat 7/8 to a cat 5 or 6 wall plate. I am running Wi-Fi 6e, 20+ smart devices, and multiple 4k/8k TVs at once. Josh knew why I needed category 8 ethernet run to my home office and listened to how I wanted it done. He didnt walk in and tell me what I needed, he listened first! That doesnt happen often.There are literally only a handful of people in Coraopolis, PA who know about Wi-Fi 6e and what kind of infrastructure a network needs to actually run it. Josh was the only one who already knew what I needed.

    I had an issue with an outlet that I had caused due to messing with it myself when I shouldnt have. Josh showed up on time to not only fix my problem but teach me what I did wrong and how to do it right. from now on I wont be attempting to be an electrician and let the professional do his job.     Ted is very knowledgeable in his work.I wanted recess lights in my living room.I disconnected wires in the Junction box and color code them.when I put the wires back it did not work Dealing with this for amonth and a half. I need a electrician want someone in moondid not know any electrician so I google came up with Ted burke so I call him. told him what.     We cannot say enough good things about Josh and Adam and the work that they did in our house. Josh immediately received our call on a weekend day after a scary electrical incident in our home and was able to come out the next day to remediate the problem. They ended up completing extensive work in our home. I have never seen two home contractors work as hard as Josh and Adam with efficiency, courtesy, and empathy. Pricing was thoroughly explained and very fair. We appreciate their hard work ethic, and they will be the first electricians that we call in the future!
