I would like to recommend Big City Plumbing for anyone who is considering converting from Oil to Gas. When dealing with getting my oil conversion done, I was referred by National Grid to Big City Plumbing. My first encounter was with Diane from the office, she was friendly, promptand professional, all the time. She scheduled my appointments and assisted the entire way with the application, permits, and rebates. Diane is the bright star behind the scenes. I then met with Mike the Owner, who personally came to my house and all my neighbors on a Saturday!!! Mike was patient and professional, answering all my questions putting me at ease. Finally, I met with the technicians Benny and Shane. Both of these guys were excellent!!! They stopped to listen to me, and answered any questions I had, along the way. The entire job took 1.5 days and Mike checked in during the process. Mike from Big City Plumbing was a great help to my property management company today by walking us through a part replacement on a Navien tankless unit which we performed ourselves only because Mike’s crew were unable to get to our emergency.Tristate Property Management and Big City Plumbing saved the day for a lovely tenant who wanted the ability to have a hot shower and not wait until after the weekend.Big shout out to Mike at Big City Plumbing and Tristate Property Management.

Big City Plumbing gets 5 stars from us. From the first quote Mike gave to the day we fired up our new Navien 240, our oil to gas conversion was a hassle free process . They were fast, responsive to calls (even now almost a year later), super clean with both their removal and installation work, and all at a great price. Especially when the $600.00 rebate check arrived a few weeks later that Diane had filed for us!And for those curious I paid 40% less in costs in the year after I went to gas. Plus no smell and a laundry room that has doubled in size. Highly recommend the conversion it pays for itself in 5 years.

I am extremely happy I chose Big City Plumbing to do the oil to gas conversion in my home. I had decided to go with another plumbing company but they could not proceed with the conversion due to health issues. I am so glad the conversion didn’t work out with the other company and instead Diane, Benny, and Shane did the work for my house. I could not have asked for a better team. They knew exactly what to do in such an efficient and knowledgeable manner. Not only are they competent and good people, they give very good quality work. You will have to pay much more from another plumbing company what they provide as standards for themselves. I got what I paid for 😊👍👍👍

Absolutely 5 starts to Big City Plumbing.They did the conversion of the heating and hot water system of my house from oil to natural gas.Mike and Diane are friendly and professional, they were helpful at every step and they took care of all planning and scheduling and answered any questions I had. Everything went smoothly and on schedule.Ben and Shane did a top notch installation. They removed the old equipment with utmost care, professionally installed the new tankless system. The new plumbing has been done properly and professionally and the new system works great.I highly recommend Big City Plumbing.

BIG CITY IS THE BEST. My building has been dealing with gas & heating issues for LITERAL years. When we finally sorted one step of the process, we learned about tons of issues across a number of boilers in the building. Big City came out and provided a clear diagnostic and estimate for each of the affected units. I was nervous about this being able to be fixed because of all the issues wed been having but they were so kind and reassuring the whole way, which really made me feel like a solve was possible. And sure enough they did it! And my unit (and others in the building) are back up and running. They were so diligent and helpful getting everything restored, and were also such nice, wonderful, pleasant people. Thank you so much for all your kindness and help!!! Big City Plumbing recently installed a new Navien combi unit in my home. From the first call with the owner, Mike, I knew I was in great hands. Mike is a complete professional and total expert in the field. He spent a lot of time on the phone with me answering questions and determining the best unit for my home and at a fair price. Benny handled the installation flawlessly. And, they both checked in for days after the installation to make sure my new heating system is running perfectly. Diane who manages the operation was very helpful and even took care of the paperwork for my rebates. Going forward, I will use Big City Plumbing for all my plumbing and heating and AC needs. They earned my trust and respect! You won’t be disappointed with the quality of their work!

Only work needed or requested by you is what you will receive. The quality of the work is exceptional and your home will be respected by the crew. Benny is a tech-savvy plumber, familiar with todays technology and your equipment will be dialed-in as it should be for the highest efficiency. If you find a lower price, you will not be getting the same job.When you call,you will likely be greeted by Diane. She is very personable and will guide you in the right direction. I had no heating since August as my Navien system needed a 3 way valve installed. I got in contact with Big city plumbing through yelp and these people came through. From the receptionist to the owner and the tech that came out to my house amazing people. Big city plumbing came out and resolved my issue immediately and didn’t try to oversell me anything and their pricing was very reasonable. They have gained my trust and business going forward.

Thanks to Big City Plumbing, we have heat and hot water, our previous contractor installed our combo heat and hot water unit and it was a mess, a unit that was suppose to last up to 15 years failed in 4 years because they did not install it correctly putting us out of a good chunk of change. But we found Big City Plumbing and it was a complete difference, Edwin was the first person sent out by Big City Plumbing, and to me first impression counts, Edwin was so knowledgeable of the system we needed and the best way to install it, he was polite, friendly and very professional, with that we decided to go with Big City Plumbing and some days later Edwin, Benny and Shawn came to do the new install, again professionalism all the way, friendliness all the way, we could not have been happier with the choice we made of going with Big City Plumbing, they put up our new combo heat and hot water until and streamline our pipings, originally we had pips going all whichever way, but now there was way less pipes and it was neat and cohesive. Thank you so much Also to Mike and Diane at Big City Plumbing for all the help and advise given you have a friend in us and I’ll shout you all name to the roof top, I will refer you to everybody, everybody. We are so, so happy that we chose Big City Plumbing to install our new burner unit. In our new-old home (1800s Victorian), we knew the clunker of an oil burner wasnt going to cut it for the coming winter, so we called around for quotes on an efficient gas unit, since we had gas coming into the house already. All prices were fairly similar, but the way the companys owner Mike spoke about the Navien unit we wanted made us feel like these guys really know what theyre taking about.And that they do. Of course one hopes for a perfect transition to new home fixtures, but such is seldom the case. The day before New Years Eve, we had an error message come up on the burner which shut the system down. The manual gave us a clue as to what the problem was, so we called Mike and explained what was going on, and he sent two guys down 3 hours later to make it right. They identified the issue and fixed it properly, remaining as friendly and courteous as always.The next day, by coincidence, a wire shorted to one of our thermostats (blame the old house again) and even on New Years Eve, at 2pm, Mike himself came over to fix the problem and see that we rung in the new year with a properly heated home.I highly recommend this company, as their work and customer service has exceeded our already high expectations.

I also think Mike of Big City Plumbing is someone who really knows his stuff. He is punctual, neat, composed, polite .... and funny to boot. We called National Grid at first naively thinking the utility company could actually come over to take a look at our Burnham boiler that wasnt working. It was the coldest days of the year. So I looked on the back of the pamphlet that comes attached to the unit and called one of their regional offices. They told me to go to a site where I could find a contractor who could help me. After calling three other places I was familiar with, I called Big City Plumbing. From Diane, who answered the phone, to Mike to his other helpers (a total of 5 people came over with varying expertise in one day), boy am I glad I called Big City Plumbing of Centereach, NY. Mike, I know you risked your life because you are allergic to cats. Thank you so much, Big City Plumbing. My hands are finally thawing out!

I needed to have our Navien on-demand system looked at, and found Big City listed on the Navien website as a Navien Service Specialist. I spoke with Diane, and she was very helpful in setting up an appointment and helping to diagnose my problem. Benny and Ed were punctual, friendly, and knowledgeable. They quickly diagnosed the problem, and were happy to explain what they were doing as they worked. They were able to speak with Navien and had the part covered under warranty. It was still a bit pricey for the labor/diagnosis, but considering the level of service I received it was worth it. Will use them again for future plumbing needs.

We had a problem with our hot water, we were considering going with a tankless system and we spoke to mike at big city. Mike came over and gave us an estimate and explained, in detail, all the pros and cons of a tankless system. He diagnosed my problem(which was the circulater pump) and repaired it, he also told us that we have a good working system now and we should save our money, when the system fails in the future we can then consider a tankless option, I respect his honesty most people would have pushed the sale of a new system instead Mike saved us thousands. Mike, my wife and I appreciate your honesty and integrity, also great job!! Hot showers again ,HURRAY!!!

What great service and team work!! Diane on the phone is helpful, does what she says quickly and is so pleasant. Mike, the owner, what a gentleman! Listened to my situation, understood what my circumstances were and worked with me to get the guys out here as soon as he could- customer service and helping others came first not the $$. More local businesses could learn from him.The guys- were early- when are people early!!!!! It was awesome. I wasnt expecting them to be early, so threw me off a bit, but they had booties for their shoes so it didnt ruin my carpet upstairs, polite, asked the right questions, and fixed the problem quickly. I am grateful for this company for fixing this shower issue, and now time to take one- finally!!
