    My house was built in the 60s with an old school low voltage relay system. Anderson Electric were the only electricians I contacted that 1) knew a reasonable amount about the system and 2) charged a reasonable amount for its removal & replacement.The team was prompt, efficient, and flexible to small changes within the scope while on site. And, when they encounter an unforeseen issue, they ensure the area of work is safe and secure before leaving and are incredibly quick to follow up with a revisit to resolve the issue.Theres still some future work I need done and when I start on that, Anderson will be at the top of the list to call!

    Mike and Brian came today to install new outdoor outlets in the front and back of our house. They also installed a new chandelier in our foyer. Previously Joe from Anderson Electric had measured our foyer ceiling to help us select a new fixture.It fits perfectly and looks great from outside the house and inside the house.     Great experience with Anderson Electric. They returned my call quickly and then were in good communication around scheduling both the estimate and the work. They started sooner than I could have imagined, were competitively priced, and the job was great. 1 day, they came in moved some furniture, covered everything, installed lights in the ceiling and switches.     Would HIGHLY recommend Anderson Electric. We had a number of small projects (installing a dining room chandelier and running electric, mounting a TV and running electric, a few outlet relocations, switch installs, some other troubleshooting), and the entire team at Anderson was professional and great to work with the entire way. From Mary at the office, to Bryan coming out to give the estimate and managing the project, to the team doing the work in Chris, Jeff, and Jason, we had a great experience. The team worked efficiently, was happy to answer any questions and give additional detail along the way, was courteous while they were in my home, and did the best job cleaning up at the end of the day of any contractor Ive had in my home since I moved in. Theyre extremely busy, so it did take a few weeks to get my project slated on the calendar, but I think that shows how in-demand they are, and deservingly so - the end product and the service provided was well worth the wait.

    Had a great experience with Anderson Electric. They installed a new EV charger for me. I called to do a service upgrade and a panel upgrade, as well as the charger install. George and the team were quick tell me that a service upgrade was not needed (saving me money) and were able to schedule the panel upgrade within a week. The whole operation took less than expected and the team was very accommodating by re-installing my old power monitoring system.Its worth noting that when the city inspector recognizes and praises a contractor, it usually speaks volumes. I know I will call again.

    I have a residential rental property in Clifton, and a lot of electrical outlets, as well as a bathroom light fixture, stopped working. Im pretty handy, so I tried to locate the problem myself, but couldnt find it. I researched online and by phone, and Anderson Electrical gave me the best estimate, and I also noticed their stellar, 5-star reviews. Now I know why! They were very nice to talk with on the phone, great communication, reasonably priced, they showed up right on time, found the issue within about 10 minutes, took the time to thoroughly explain it to me, and solved the problem, all within an hours time! Also, they were polite, professional, and very personable! They also cleaned up nicely afterwards. Being that I live out-of-state, and its not always easy for me to find time to make the 200 mile round trip to my rental property, its good to find an electrician whom I can trust to call on if/when I might need their services again.     My husband and I were having a big issue with keeping the power on in our townhouse, it was extremely overwhelming being that it was our first issue with the electricity and truthfully didn’t understand what was causing the issue. We reached out to George who was unbelievable he had told us some of his concerns being that we are in a CO-OP and making sure we would not be paying for anything that was not our responsibility. He guided us through the steps we would need to take when dealing with the management office and had suggested we use their own electrician, he went even further and spoke directly to the property manager knowing that he might have just given the job to someone else, that didn’t matter to him he wanted what was best for us. I can’t tell you how much that meant to us, even though we had to go with the complex’s electrician for this project I will absolutely be calling him the next time we have an issue! I highly recommend this company they put the customer above everything.

    Anderson Electric recently installed a new dedicated 60 amp, 240 volt circuit for our EV car charger for us at our home. They promptly provided an estimate and then scheduled the job very quickly, unlike other companies I had contacted which told me it would take weeks before they could even come in to give me an estimate. Anderson Electric did an excellent job from start to finish, they were well prepared and left the work area spotless. George and his people are all very professional and a real pleasure to deal with.     I couldnt be more pleased with my experience with Anderson Electric. I had an inexplicable power outage that required a lot of skill and experience to troubleshoot. I had an expert electrician at my door within an hour of my call. Bryan was able to diagnose the problem, locate a junction box with faulty wiring buried in the ceiling, and fix the problem in short order. He even took the time to patiently explain to me what he was doing and advise me on prudent steps to take to prevent further issues. Hes the best!

    I highly recommend George and his team at Anderson Electric. Theyre very responsive, fairly priced, and bended over backwards for me. I had originally reached out for landscape design lighting, but Bryan came out and gave tips to better use our floodlights and other outdoor lighting to see if that improved the situation before spending thousands more. Bryan also was very thorough in his review of our houses overall electric situation pointing areas we might want to look into more without being pushy or pressuring me into doing the work right away. When putting in a lamppost, George was an excellent liaison with the town inspector and helped me move things along!! Lastly, Jeff was super organized and tidy during all the installs he did for us!

    Anderson recently did both a service upgrade and several smaller items, ceiling fan installations, troubleshooting outlets, even running some low voltage. Over all we were very satisfied. They returned my phone calls and showed up when they said they would! Rare these days. Everyone was very professional and friendly and the work all appears excellent. They are not the least expensive but I think their pricing is fair, and as they say, you get what you pay for.

    We had a major power surge which destroyed our panel and caused a fire in our basement. The insurance company was not very helpful and PSEG was inconsistent. Our biggest ally in getting things back to normal was Anderson Electric. They came to our home very quickly both to assess the damage and begin the repairs. When we had trouble with PSEG, the owner (George) went to bat for us with PSEG and with our town inspector. George visited our home multiple times to make sure that everything was taken care of, including on a Saturday night. Brian, his technician, was quick and helpful. We are so grateful for their work and honesty. This was a frightening situation which they handled with professionalism, speed, and courtesy.

    Excellent service! These guys are superb! Some of my outlets and lights weren’t working in the house! Other companies were asking $150 or more to come see what the problem was. However Mr. Anderson talked to me over the phone and advised me to try a method of fixing it! I tried it and it worked! Problem resolved and not a dime spent! Wiring had to thread through the entirety of a finished basement and they were able to do it with no impact to walls or ceilings. As if they were never there! Wall charger works perfectly.     I used AEC to troubleshoot a broken circuit on my third floor. They were here within 15 minutes of me approving an estimate of their costs. They found the problem, installed a ceiling light for me and were on their way, all within one hour of my initial call to their office manager. Very professional and jovial team.     As a new homeowner, finding a quality local electrician was high on my list. Anderson Electric completed a couple projects for us (amp upgrade and rewire with relocating outlets/switches, installing new ones, and all new lighting for our kitchen renovation). From quote to completion, these guys (and Mary!) are true professionals!Some highlights...• Their cleanup is impeccable, you cannot tell they were even there (even leaving the area cleaner than they found)• Had an unexpected burnt up outlet caused by a wire to breaker size mismatch from prior owner - they came right away, fixed it, and calmed my nerves after it nearly caused a fire.• Went above and beyond with some good direction on permitting for the town (unrelated to their work)...saved me some possible headache on our kitchen reno.I cannot recommend them enough, you will be in great hands!

    We have used George and his team for just about the last 30 years that we have owned our house in Montclair - everything from updating the wiring we inherited to putting in timer lights to repairing the electric feed to the house when a tree branch pulled down our wires. George always answers my calls right away and is able to schedule repairs and improvements quickly. We have never had any problems with quality - the job is done right the first time. I rarely give 5 star reviews, but in this case it is certainly warranted.

    We contacted George from Anderson shortly after several electrical issues were discovered during a home inspection for a potential house purchase. George got back to us immediately and was able to come out to the property on a Sunday morning (within one day of contact) to provide an estimate in order to remediate all such issues.     I had a security system installed. Since my house is old, wires were not easily accessible. In fact, they were a challenge to find. They did not give up.     Just before we were leaving the house for a few days a burning wire smell in the basement prompted a call to a number of electricians who couldnt get to us on their schedule. We called the fire department who came and identified the problem. An electric panel was overheating. The fire department shut down the power and told us we needed an electrician right away. They called PSE&G and we called Anderson who sent Brian to us within the half hour. He showed us what the problem was, and George Anderson got us an estimate for the repair himself within the hour. It was more than fair and George somehow was able to schedule us for the next day. Knowing that rain was forecast for the afternoon, Brian and his team showed up the next morning at 7:00 and quietly went to work. We were up and running with a new electric box by 3:00. All the work was clean and explained to us throughly. We are so grateful and appreciative, not only for the expert work but the consideration and kindness everyone showed us. We are thrilled that we have a new electrician.

    Update to my previous review...Brian and Joseph replaced 3 ceiling fans in addition to replacing the electric junction boxes to the kind that should have been there in the first place.They found 1 connection to be so out of code that it was a fire hazard. Lucky for us that they found it and fixed it. They also relocated the bathroom light, which was the last part of our recent bathroom remodel that needed to be done.This is the first time we have had ceiling fans that do not vibrate when the fan is on high speed. I guess that is the difference between having a professional doing the work, as opposed to DIY work.Once again, Anderson Electric totally impressed and delighted us with their quality of work.
