In reality, the review was meant for Mike & Sons Plumbing LLC. I didnt have any issues with Troys work. He acted according to what the insurance company had approved or disapproved. His job was to assess my plumbing situation based on the guidelines provided by the insurance company. My actual concern lies with the insurance company relying on a previous plumbers assessment without using a camera to inspect the sewer line that needs repair. So, my apologies again to Troy and the team at Mike & Sons Plumbing LLC.

Their solution was to dig and install a new drain that integrated with the backyard, thoroughly clean all the drain pipes on the property, and connect them with the sump pump. Ive since reached out to them on two other occasions for a hot water tank installation and a shower faucet repair. I cant speak highly enough of Troys dedication to his work - he never takes shortcuts. Fast forward to five years since our first interaction, I have nothing but gratitude for Troy. When we first moved into the house, the original sump was connected to the sanitary line. Troy rerouted it, enabling the sump to be pumped to the gutter drains and all gutters to be drained to the back of our property. Despite the heavy rainfall weve been experiencing, our basement has remained dry. Ive heard stories of others in town experiencing water back up due to their sump pumps being connected to the city lines, which are already full. Unfortunately, due to extreme cold and snow in Cathedral City, I was informed on the morning of my scheduled appointment that they had several emergencies to attend to and that my repair would be pushed back to later in the day. I missed a call, presumably from Troy, which I assumed was to reschedule the appointment, but no message was left. This lack of communication was somewhat disappointing. However, I was later contacted to reschedule my appointment. Troy arrived as planned, called ahead of time, and completed the job efficiently. He even cleaned up and moved the old toilet to the curb. Despite the week delay, I was satisfied with the work done and would definitely use their services again, as long as they maintain open communication. Their work quality deserves 4 stars, though their communication could use some improvement.

The only minor hitch was a visit from a water treatment sales representative who tried to upsell us on softwater treatment services during our service call. His approach was a bit off-putting and he seemed to disregard the woman of the house, focusing his attention on the man of the house. He used complex terms like polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) or parts per billion, which seemed to be part of his upselling strategy. Unfortunately, his approach wasnt appreciated and he left without acknowledging us. Despite this, Troys outstanding service, coupled with the fair prices charged by Mike & Sons Plumbing LLC, earns them a five-star rating from us. His workmanship and customer service are top-notch.
