    We just finished having a stand by generator installed by Carolina power and generators and I was really impressed with the communication and quality of work. Barbie handled all of the coordination of appointments and was very quick to respond to any questions that I had. Roger came out to give us an estimate and it was clear that he knew what he was talking about. I liked that the people doing the actual work came to do the estimate and answer any questions rather than a salesman. Every appointment went smoothly and I was well informed every step of the way. I would highly recommend them if you are thinking of getting a generator.

    We purchased a new home that had been empty for over a year and have never had a home with a generator. One of the items was figuring out whether the generator even worked. The technician was very friendly and knowledgeable. Took his time evaluating and explaining how our generator functions. Also explained why the unit needed maintenance and what it would cost up front that all made sense and not just building up unnecessary cost. Happy to have them to provide us with long-term service.

    So glad we had the maintenance plan membership with Carolina Power Generators. They were able to monitor our generator and realize we had an oil pressure issue and with monitoring realized that the engine needed replacing before we had a major issue during a possible electrical outage.Carolina Power Generator handled the replacement and installed in a timely manner the technicians were very pleasant, knowledgeable and completed our service in a timely manner. I would highly recommend them and their maintenance plan.

    Since purchasing my generator with Carolina Power and Generators I have not had one problem with my generator. Since I bought it in early Jan oh 2020 they have kept it serviced and running. When they come out to do service they are there about an hour checking everything. Not a 15 min job. I have always been well pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

    My new HVAC and duct system was installed a little over 1 year ago. The system has not behaved well (at times I think it is like a lemon car) and I have required help often. Bobby came out again yesterday and stayed until he thought the the problem was solved. He told me what to do if there was a similar problem and how to contact him. Carolina Air has stuck with making this system work properly and responds very quickly. I would highly recommend them!

    I have an existing GENERAC generator nearly 20 years old. It is always been dependable and required little repairs. It has always been serviced by another firm - until it did have a problem that they tried to fix over a 3 month period. They were not successful and finally abandoned me and would not return my calls. I contacted Carolina Power and Generators. They promised to send me their best technician - - and they did. He spent about an hour checking it out. He got it to run temporarily and did a service PM while waiting for the needed parts to arrive. Upon getting the parts, he came back to install them, We are up and running and very pleased. with Carolina Power and Generators performance.

    Generac full-home backup generator purchase and installation:From the initial in-home meeting with Roger to final startup of the completed installation with Nick, we found Carolina Power and Generators to be head and shoulders above the competition. Roger’s initial consultation, focused on our specific needs and context, both provided in-depth understanding of the equipment’s function and convinced us from the beginning that this was the company we would select. He is extremely knowledgeable not only about the generators and their features, but also about the needed electrical and gas lines, the placement and potential disruption of installation, and the ensuing maintenance of the equipment. We talked with representatives from four other companies, but none sent us people with comparable expertise and ability to explain ( in fact, none of the others seemed to have any background or qualifications pertinent to generators, other than being salesmen with limited knowledge). The bid was fair, reasonable, and uncomplicated— unlike others which contained pages of disclaimers, self-protective legalese, and sometimes unwelcome sales gimmicks. Once we had agreed to terms and signed the brief contract, our installation was scheduled for two weeks later. The steps of the installation were clearly explained so we would have no unhappy surprises, and the work proceeded exactly on schedule. Nick and Aaron were professional and kept us well informed throughout the three-stage process. The work was completed on time and with minimal disruption. As promised, a minor incident involving damage to our downspout system was promptly disclosed and repaired immediately ( other companies had expressly disavowed responsibility for such accidents). Our interactions with Barbie and Alyssa in the office have been unfailingly pleasant and helpful, and extremely prompt. This company relies on its very experienced and skilled people to sell its product, rather than on vague statements about convenience and pricing or warranty gimmicks. We couldn’t be more pleased and are happy to make this recommendation.

    We had our generator installed this past July. I had three different contractors inspect the job, submit quotes and made my decision. Although I could have saved a few dollars by hiring an Electritian to do the install, Sean explained so much more detail about the installation, and how they would follow the county code by the book. I felt so much more comfortable after talking with him. A true professional. The crew came out the following week, worked closely with the power company and had the job done and power back on in 6 hours! They conducted a load test and found the gas company had installed a faulty part. The gas company came right away, fixed the problem and the load test was a success. Now, when the wind blows and the power goes out in Whispering Pines, or the ice storms come, or the Hurricanes blow, we will be safe and comfortable. Thank you to the excellent crew for the awesome install. I would highly recommend Carolina Power.

    I would recommend this company to anyone who is considering the installation of a Generac backup generator for a home. Three different events occurred to complete this project. Every individual who came to our residence was professional, highly competent, and paid full attention to detail. Sean Jordan, office manager/estimator met with my wife and absolutely left no unanswered questions. Next was the natural gas professional (Roger) whose standards are unsurpassed. It was no different with the electrician and his young assistant. And events 2 and 3 had to be coordinated with Dominion Energy and Duke Power, and the home inspector. Everything went like clockwork. We cannot over emphasize how pleased we are with this company. I wasnt a bit surprised this AM at 1000 hours when my new Generac powered on for its Wednesday practice run. Simply a fully satisfying experience.

    We highly recommend Carolina Power and Generators for the installation of a whole home standby generator. They completed the installation of our 22KW generator in Chapel Hill, and throughout the entire process, Sean Jordan and his team provided a truly outstanding level of service and professionalism. In the initial visit, Sean spent over 2 hours evaluating the electrical wiring in our home, and answering every question I could think of in great detail (by contrast, a competitor never returned my initial phone call). After we accepted his very competitive proposal, Sean completed all the paperwork for the application to the HOA, including staking out the proposed location for the generator and taking the required pictures. The delivery of the 600+ lb generator represented quite a challenge due to the steep slopes and sharp drop offs of our property, but Sean and his team managed to get it safely in place using some very innovative techniques. The electrical wiring of the generator is quite complex since it requires both the Duke Energy people and the county inspector to show up at just the right time, but, thanks to Sean, this went very smoothly. And since power was off for several hours during the process, they even provided a small generator to power our refrigerator and freezer so we would not loose any food. Following the installation, the service pro Roger set up the wifi connection and phone app, demonstrated the failover to generator power, insured that the generator was operating properly under heavy load, and answered every question I had. In short, the entire process could not have gone any better. We believe CP&G provides a commitment to excellence that is rare to find these days in businesses both large and small. We look forward to a long term relationship with them for all the maintenance and service needs of the generator.

    When I relocated from Cary to West End one of the first additions to my home was a Generac generator. I also installed a Generac at my previous home and wow what a difference CAROLINA POWER AND GENERATORS made. From the moment I talked to Barbie to schedule a site visit the experience was totally professional and positive. Roger and Andy not only did a great job on site, they educated me on the generator and made me confident I made a good investment and picked the local company that would take care of me. Less than a week after installation we had a power loss due to ice and snow, our Generac generator worked flawlessly. Being a native of NC I know all about Pine trees and power loss.
