Update: Called Standridge Plumbing with, what turned out to be, a minor problem with my pilot going out & not restarting (user error). Gary talked me through the correct way to relight the pilot and I was back in business. But because our water heater was 20+ years old and now seemed to be on its last leg, we decided to pre-emptively replace it. Once again, Gary returned calls and inquiries very quickly and we had a scheduled water heater installation taken care of two days later. Im really glad I saved their telephone number. Highly recommend this company.We had a water heater issue last week. Standridge had been recommended by some neighbors so we decided to give them a call. We were contacted very quickly and they were at our townhouse within a few hours. While the problem wasnt cheap (what plumbing repair is), it was completed to our satisfaction within a couple of hours. Very happy with the service. They have been added to my Contacts for future plumbing needs. Thank you for your help.

It turned out I had missed turning a knob, so it was a quick and easy fix. Gary was very kind, he wouldn’t even let me pay him. He is one of the good ones, I will definitely be using him again!

After receiving our monthly utility bill I noticed extremely high amount of water usage. We were able to locate the broken pipe and were referred to Standridge Plumbing. They promptly came out to complete the repair, which involved digging down 3 feet! They cleaned everything up and tested to be sure the leak was repaired, Very pleased! Highly recommend!!

I was faced with a massive outdoor leak at my mothers house. She had a plumbing service but a simple ballcock replacement resulted in a $500 charge (Mr. Plumber) and that was a discounted price. I was really concerned on what it would be if I called them back for this job and their response was typically slow. Fortunately, a neighbor recommended Gary Standridge. I called him and he surveyed the issue that day and called me back immediately to inform me on the possibilities. He dispatched a team the next day to fix the problem. Fortunately it wasnt as major as we had feared (irrigation leak) and I was pleasantly surprised with his bill which was less than half what I paid for a new ballcock. I told him that he was our plumber for life!! Thank you Gary!!

I had a Rheem water heater installed just over a year ago. Still under warranty, the gas valve went out, and we had no hot water, This is a common problem with these water heaters lately. I called the man who originally installed our water heater, and he said it would take 4 days before he could fix it. After 4 days, he never showed. So we went 4 days without hot water.So I called Gary, and he came out the same day, he temporaily fixed the problem, ordered a new valve, and repaired it promplty.I have found no better service anywhere with contractor service. Gary is by far superior to all I have experienced:1) he communicates the problem and solution2) he tells you excatly what to expect.3) He shows up on time.4) he delivers what he promises.5) his rates are reasonable.You need to look no further for your plumbing issues.

I saw several reviews that mentioned integrity and he definitely showed me that by just spending so much time explaining things to me on the phone. He told me how to turn my water heater off and on and how to turn the power off to it. I am so grateful that there are still such kind and caring people in the world especially in a contracting business.

I had a pipe leaking water under the slab of my home. After the leak was located under the slab in my hallway, Standridge Plumbing came out to my home and in about 4 hours, put up plastic for dust mitigation, jackhammered through the slab, removed the debris and located the leak. Then they replaced the pipe that was leaking and covered up the pipe and poured some concrete to replace the missing slab. I am very satisfied with the results.

They get the job done correctly. And they leave the area clean. I’ve had him do big jobs (replace the water line from the street to the house) and small jobs (replace a toilet). Each time is a job well done. My husband calls Gary the “pipe whisperer”. Because he can assess a situation and say “Ok, I’m going to have to go in right there” - pointing to a place in the wall. First of all, to get a plumber out the next day on a Friday was a miracle in its self.
