This crew is incredible.First off, their vans are high end, thoughtfully built, and impressive to say the least.For my part I was searching for a shop to help me overhaul the and update a few components on a van that I recently bought used. BCV was able to schedule me in right away, fix the issues, and help me outfit my rig with the right parts. I would highly recommend BCV to anyone looking for a new high-end build or service on their current rig.

Over the past year(s) we were dreaming of building our ultimate’ campervan and spend hours looking at YouTube movies and Instagram on determining on our ideal setup and seeking a professional builder to help us make our dreams come true.We found the van (Mercedes Sprinter 1.70 4WD) and the builder: Boulder Campervans.We had online and live meetings to discuss our desired design with Brian. He really took the time to understand what we are looking for and together with his expertise and our preferences we came to a beautiful setup. Some items are standard by design (like the shower cabin) but all in all Boulder Campervan team is very flexible and really think with you on how to get the setup you want (without compromising to their level of quality). Even better: all the technical things ‘’under the hood’’ we did not think off were all part of the proposal of Brian and team. For example, they make sure your campervan can also be used in colder periods of the year (with a proper heater but also having the water tanks on board and ways to make sure things do not get frozen).After signing of on the renders provided by Brian we agreed on a timeslot for the build. The team delivered according to the plan, which was really great.During the 3,5 months build period we had email contact with Maddy and some Zoom-calls with Brian to keep up posted on the progress and discuss some of the concerns we had during that period. They were both amazing and really showed how ‘’customer first’’ looks like in real life. Brian did everything possible to make sure we were happy and again took all our remarks to heart and worked with his teams to ensure all details were executed according to our expectations. At the start of the build, we had a wish in the design which after all could not be realized because of the wheel wells and also in this communication Brian was clear and aiming to work out a solution.Once we picked up the van we were really impressed and amazed by the quality of work they delivered. The technical stuff, the flooring/ceiling. Interior of the cupboards (even a wine bottle holder) the touch light switches (with dimming possibilities): all is showing a very, very high quality of work and real craftsmanship. In the end the van even turned out to be much better than we dreamed of thanks to Brian, Maddy and the full amazing team of both Boulder campervan locations.Also, the after care is above and beyond: Brian and team are always willing to answer our questions (which we have as new bees of course).All manuals of the features in the van are shared online on a private space and some movies showing how to make your van ready for storage etc. are made (featuring your own van).So, all in all: we are super happy Boulder Campervans build our van and we would recommend them to everyone who is looking for a custom- built, high quality van.Already looking forward to bringing the van to Europe in a couple of years as for sure this level of customization and quality is (for now) only to be found in the US.Jaap & Clarissa(The Netherlands – Europe)

We got a tour of Boulder Campervans by Brian, the owner. There is also another site in Salida,COThe interiors have impressivecraftsmanship - they build all the wood components, countertops as well as fabrics w/ an onsite seamstress. Many extras on the exteriors can be added too. Higher clearance, extra fuel tanks, canopies, skiis case etc. are some of the options.If you want something a little more sporty than an Airstream or Winnebago on the sprinter or transit frame, these vans are definitely worth considering.

We were traveling and far from home when the fan on our composting toilet went out.... Yikes! We called Boulder Campervans because they were listed as a distributer on the toilets website. Brain could not have been more helpful! He took a look at the fan, discussed our options, and got us back on the road quickly. He was honest and more than fair with us. We absolutely recommend him for work on your van. Happy travels!

We started working with Brian at Boulder campervans just over 3 months ago after doing a tremendous amount of research on various campervan custom builders around the country. We knew we wanted to have a significant role in the customization of our Mercedes Sprinter 2500, 170 wheelbase, and Boulder Campervans was the clear favorite for us. Brian put a ton of time in on helping us choose a floor plan, design the amazing garage, pick the materials we wanted for the ceiling, flooring, cabinets, countertop, mattress and the walls. His incredibly professional recommendations showed a deep knowledge and history of building out campervans over the years so I had the utmost confidence in his suggestions and guidance. Because we live in the mountains, we found Boulder Campervans Salida location to be incredibly convenient. We were able to visit our van on occasion to witness the progress they were making and the staff was always happy to see us and take our questions and comments. And there are truly amazing people at BCV. It is evident that there is a really positive workplace culture there. The staff are delightful and its obvious they love what they do! We took delivery of our camper van just 5 days ago and were blown away by the incredibly high level of workmanship, design and meticulous detail. Honestly, our camper van is nicer than the house we live in full-time! From the intricate electrical systems, to the plumbing to the variety of locations to access power to charge phones and laptops and other electronic devices, our camper van is equipped to be off grid for days at a time. We feel blessed to have found Boulder Campervans and, thanks to the amazing staff of artists, engineers and builders, we get to look forward to many many wonderful adventures in our new home on wheels. I could not recommend Boulder Campervans more. There is simply no better custom campervan builder out there. Sincerely, extremely happy customers!

Being new to the Van Life experience I bought a van from a third party. The van was well built, but the previous owner rarely used it. The van was in need of simple fixes. I researched many van builders in the Denver area inquiring about some repairs and knowledge. For the most part they were either overpriced, snobby about other builds, or just didnt respond/ ghosted me. Not BCV. I reached out and had a quick response from Katie. She and the entire team were friendly, accommodating, reasonably priced and made me a priority to get my problems resolved. I cant say enough good things about Katie and BCV.

I cant possibly speak highly enough of my experience with Boulder Camper Vans. I had a somewhat unique project, and from the moment I reached out Brian was incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating in a way that none of the other shops that I contacted were. He treated us with respect and put a great deal of effort into helping us, despite having other customers with much larger budgets. We had a chance to tour their Boulder facility and were blown away at the top notch production facilities and their attention to detail in both their designs and manufacturing. Their years of experience is immediately apparent in their vast knowledge base; you d be hard pressed to find a shop that knows more about building high quality van conversions than BCV. If youre looking for a great small business that will do van conversions right, look no further.

I can’t say enough good things about this outfit. They do very high quality work. They love what they do; their passion, enthusiasm and creativity are evident even at the end of a long day figuring out how to solve the client’s needs (and muscling solar panels around on top of a van for hours). Kudos to Brian, Mitch, Keeton, Ettiene (sorry if I butchered the spelling), James, Brooke, Amanda, et al. I recommend BCV with only one word of caution - you get what you pay for… this sort of high quality work and superior customer service does not come cheap. That said - it was worth every penny. It was a small but much appreciated gesture despite me not being a client of theirs but showed they genuinely are more than just a business but a positive part of this community as well. We just picked up our completed 148 Ford Transit high-roof campervan conversion 10 days ago from Boulder Campervans (BCV) and spent a week driving it home. We are DELIGHTED! We couldn’t be happier with the process and with the completed van. And working with the team at BCV was a real pleasure. Everyone in the shop was excited about our build, and obviously enjoyed meeting and solving the challenges our design presented.We selected Boulder Campervans because they had a multi-year track record of conversions, understood 4-season preparation, and were willing to do a completely custom build based on our design. We made the right choice! We started the process over a year ago, with a preliminary conversation with the owner Brian about our goals and design, and agreed on a June 1 build date. We ordered our van from Ford, and then worked with BCV on the design and specific components of our conversion. They were very thorough in creating an itemized invoice that described all the components, giving us a good idea of what our costs would be. Their timeline for payments was very clear. They also produced a 3D rendering showing what our conversion would look like, and sent us fabric, wood, and flooring samples so we could choose. We signed the contract and made the initial payments, and BCV began ordering materials in preparation for the June build date. Unfortunately, like many others last year, our Ford Transit was delayed (the original delivery date of early May ended up being mid-August), and we had to reschedule time in BCV’s schedule. We finally received our new van from Ford and delivered it to BCV on November 1.We had frequent email, phone and FaceTime conversations with Brian and the crew building our van, and we flew to Colorado for a couple of in-person visits. The first was to review the internal design once insulation, wiring and the other basic behind-the-walls work was finished. The second visit was more important, as they had all the internal plumbing and electrical done and we could review again the specifics of our build. A few further FaceTimes let us determine the dimensions of drawers in the kitchen cabinet and some other details. Brian was great at responding to questions over email or by phone. Brian and the team at BCV were incredibly collaborative. The many detailed discussions about where something should go, how we would use it, what options there were resulted in us getting a wonderful, roomy, and very livable campervan.We picked up the van in early March, and spent a few days in the Boulder area in case we needed anything fixed; the weather gave us a good test of the van’s heating and plumbing, with 9 degree nights and blizzard conditions. And we were warm! We are extremely happy with the conversion. BCV did a great job taking our design ideas and turning them into reality. The inside looks great, everything works well. The bed slides out lengthwise, and BCV designed a sliding system that is easy to pull but doesn’t rattle and stays in place when driving. They also put the composting toilet on a heavy-duty pull-out locking slide system so it’s hidden in a cabinet when not in use, but pulls out for full access for use or emptying. Their cabinet work is beautiful and very solid. The electrical and water systems are simple to understand and use, well laid out, and WORK WELL. We are delighted with our new van and looking forward to a lot of trips.THANK YOU everyone at BCV for your great work!

We highly recommend the excellent work of Brian and his team at Boulder Campervans. We wanted day-to-day living in the van to be comfortable and easy and Boulder Campervans exceeded expectations! The wonderful campervan they created for us became a second home that can go where the whim takes us for as long as we want. Our goal is to spend roughly half of each year on the road. In the first 68 days since delivery of the van, we spent 55 nights on the road. Of course, problems occurred during the shakedown cruise. Boulder Campervans addressed them all quickly and successfully. The van works wonderfully for us!Boulder Campervans carefully listened to our vision and made it real. Brian got excited about our ideas, even the challenging ones! He used his expertise and experience to improve our original ideas. He guided us through what actually works on the road. We really came to trust that Brian knows not only the quality of the products on the market, but which ones we really needed and how well they hold up with use.We found three things to be most important. First, designing the van is complicated, detailed and extremely personal. Every element of our van grew out of two-way discussions with Brian and his team. They have an incredible amount of experience and their preferred ways of doing things. However, during the design phase they always lead with “what do you want?”. Then they use their expertise and creativity to develop a beautiful and functional campervan tailored to our needs and desires.Second, the conversion process was something to behold. They made the difficult look easy with superb knowledge and craftsmanship. If you have ever seen a house built, you understand how the final product hides a world of complexity in the foundation, the walls, etc. Now add the constraints that it needs to fit inside a 170 wheel-base Sprinter, plus hold up to the challenges of 4 wheel drive roads. We enjoyed the visits with our van and the building team as it was built. We are very picky about our comfort, and they took the time to successfully customize the built-in furniture to our size and shape.Third, the whole is greater than the parts. We wanted the adventure of new places with the comfort of being home. Brian and his team have an exceptional commitment to attractive functionality. They not only made everything fit and work, they made it as comfortable and beautiful as a luxurious yacht. With 55 days of experience living in our new campervan-home we commend Brian and his team for giving us everything we hoped for and a bit more.If you are considering doing a custom van build, we cannot recommend Brian and his team highly enough. Wow! What a great experience working with Boulder Campervans! They recently completed a custom, fully 4-season van conversion on my 148 Ford Transit Medium Roof – which included a shower and toilet. Brian and his team are extremely knowledgeable, accommodating, indulgent and collaborative, willing to entertain all ideas and find a solution that works - and provide guidance where needed! They are a joy to deal with – everyone on the team knows you by voice or by sight, they know your van and its status and are open, honest, and willing to share knowledge. The components and systems used in my van are most superior, better even than what I had hoped for, and the value in the completed van is visible and evident. The van has huge power capacity and extremely thoughtful design and placement of even the little things! Their attention to after-sales service, too, is praiseworthy. We have struggled with the performance of the Espar Hydronic heating system in our 2020 Winnebago Revel since we purchased the van. Its been a long journey with a couple of stops at other RV service centers at great cost and no fix. However, Peter at Boulder Camper Van agreed to take us on and worked closely with the folks at Rixen Enterprises to diagnose and correct the previous mistakes that others had made and get our heating system up and running perfectly! He was awesome at taking the time to listen to the issues we were having and outstanding at communicating along the way. Great Value and Great Service!! Highly recommend

Just picked this bad boy up - a 3500XD 2020 Sprinter - Sally aka “Alpha”. We looked at many different conversion companies but decided to have our sprinter built out by Boulder Campervans. Best decision!! It looks even better in person than the photos. Brian you are the best. The floor plan you suggested is genius. The craftsmanship on this van is next level and second to none. These guys are AWESOME! If you’re in the area and having any issues, call them! I called on a weekday morning with an electrical issue. They told me to come on over. They found a blown fuse, replaced it with a breaker, and had me out of there with everything working perfectly! Super fun guys, know what they’re doing, highly recommend!!!

BVC has a passion that is unparalleled locally for all things van life, and the company truly embodies their brand.Overall, my experience with BCV has been professional, pleasant, and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a truly customized van. Brian took ample time prior to the build to ensure we were on the same page & communicated a ton during the build, and Taylus has been a reliable point of contact since the build was taken home last October. Ian, Mitch, Maddie, and Jared and the rest of the team made themselves available a handful of times after hours to ensure questions and concerns were addressed. Taylus recently went above and beyond to help when the alternator on my van went out. They generously put in a device to mitigate the strain on the battery, free of charge- even though we still aren’t 100% sure anything related to the build caused it. These guys truly stand behind their product and it’s obvious that they care about the experience of their customers a ton. Worth it! Ty for my desert adventure mobile, BVC!

We had a super time renting the Equinox van from Brian. Since we’re local, we just disperse camped for the extended weekend and really appreciated van life. We learned a lot about van camping and consider one day purchasing a van ourselves. Until then, we will borrow Brian’s :-) He has numerous “how-to” videos available online for rookies. The van was clean and well stocked. We were surprised at how easy it was to drive, and we appreciated the ability to simply arrive at site and fix our dinner without setting up tents and starting a fire, etc. We definitely plan to rent from Boulder Campervans again. Next time, we hope to utilize the extension of camping season and try out a van during shoulder season.

I was having some issues with a plumbing line, as well as my Espar heating system in my Sprinter van, and the guys over at Boulder Campervans literally had me in and out in less than 2 hours. And the cost was half of what the other shops were wanting to charge me! I wont be going to any other Campervan shop for fixes/repairs/updates, because I am confident these guys are the best around. I highly recommend them!

Traveling across the country in our Sprinter Camper and need to get to SF by next week. We had a problem with the closing mechanism on the sliding door and I didnt have the right tools. Mercedes of Westminster said a week before they could even look at it; Mercedes of Littleton said come back in July!! Boulder Campervans said, were very busy but drop in and well have a look, see what we can do. THAT is customer service. Took two minutes to fix. Thank you so much.

Did a great job throughout the entire process of putting our camper van together. The team was so helpful in offering suggestions and guiding us through the many choices. BCV have always been very responsive to our questions and issues. Recently, we had an issue with our water system, due to our own mistake. Bryan was able to take care of this problem quickly and got us back on the road. We highly recommend Boulder Camper Vans!

Highly recommended. We rented an RV from Boulder Campervans for a week in the middle of August. The whole experience went smoothly, from pick-up to drop-off. When we arrived to pick up the camper, Anna gave us a thorough tour and demo of its features and answered all of our questions. The unit itself (Winnebago Travato) was clean as a whistle and in perfect shape. We will definitely be renting from them again!

When great craftsmen customize a van it is infinitely more satisfying than an mass produced van. There is pleasure in every detail, every design choice. Brian and his dedicated, joyful crew just delivered our dream home on wheels. We designed to two oldsters who want to boondock from Key West to Homer, Alaska. Its a tiny home with four wheel drive, as comfotable and beautiful as our stationary home in Boulder.I recommend Boulder Campervans with out reservation. Youll get real craftsmanship and have fun in the process. They know how to get the best out of limited space and build in convenience and beauty.
