    I have used Marra Electric for about 2 years now. Recently, I had an emergency on a Friday night. I did not expect a service call at such a late hour, but Dan, the owner, personally came to my house to troubleshoot and resolve the issue that same night. This kind of service and professionalism is why I will only use Dan and his crew at Marra Electric.

    December 13, 2024Today Danny and his crew (AJ & Andy) came back to fix some electrical issues per his estimate. He started at 8:45am and left at 4pm – no breaks (and I couldn’t offer them anything since all power was turned off!).He completely refurbished my electric service and rectified some problems. Together with AJ & Andy, he removed 4 old fuse boxes and converted them to one main breaker box; moved my meter outside; and installed an electric dryer outlet.He discovered a water leak in the power line pipe coming into the house and installed a new feed into the house. He also discovered a wiring problem and corrected it – without charging me anything extra.Danny Marra is honest, candid, professional, proficient, and punctual and averted what could have been a potential safety issue.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Nov 30, 2024On Saturday afternoon (Nov 30 @ 1:30pm) our neighborhood had a power outage. After 20 minutes everyone got the power back except me.Our digital meter was showing digits & then “error” over & over.I called PSE&G & they opened a ticket. They checked while I was on the phone & told me that electric service was going into my home. They said they would investigate further & get back to me.I wasn’t comfortable with this so I called Marra. I explained what happened & Danny was there within the hour. He removed the meter & checked the breaker switches, box, etc. When he put the box back in, the electricity came back on.At about 5, I got a PSE&G recording that repeated their initial evaluation & closed the ticket. Glad I didn’t wait for them !!!Bottom line: (1) Danny was there within the hour (on a Saturday),(2) He got the electric back on so we wouldn’t freeze, and(3) he didn’t charge for the visit.I have used Marra in the past and will continue to use him in the future.

    This was our first time hiring an electrician. We needed a chandelier taken down and new one installed; as well as a few light switches (outside light timer, dimmers, fan timer) installed.     Dan, Tanner,and A.J. are amazing!!! They wired my barn in my backyard for electric and indoor lighting. I couldnt be happier, the price was absolutely reasonable, the workmanship was above par, and surprising with how quickly everything was completed!!     Danny and his crew are top notch. I have used Marra Electric a few times and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional, knowledgeable, and courteous electrical team. Whether its an emergency repair or a new installation project, look no further. I had an electrical repair issue last year which was quickly identified by AJ and repaired. This past month Marra helped us with our new pool. Danny, Kevin, AJ and the rest of the crew ran a new 100 amp line through our attic along with Cat6 wire and hooked up all of our new pool equipment including a Pentair automation panel. They also ran electrical lines for new outdoor outlets and lighting. They did a very clean job and the cost was fair. I will be using Marra this Spring for some additional outdoor electrical work. 5 Stars!

    I had used Marra for the very first time because i needed a interlock generator kit installed . While the price was a little high I soon realized why because these guys are the best Kevin and Steve were polite professional and did extremely clean work and did not cut corners.     Marra Electric was everything we could have hoped for, and more. Danny quickly responded to the initial phone call and set up a time to come by and see what we needed. He gave us a price for the work (based on the jobs, not an estimate of hours needed), and scheduled the work to be done. Kevin and Joe arrived early and easily accomplished the installation of ceiling fans, outdoor lighting, repair of an outlet and the installation of two new outlets. They were upfront about potential issues and knowledgeable. The work was completed to perfection. We could not be happier with the choice to go with Marra.     Im happy to say that good customer service still exists! We had Marra Electric hook-up the electricity in our new backyard pavilion, install a new fan-light and install a new outdoor light for our yard. On every level we were pleased! They were professional, clean, friendly, skillful, and reliable. When there was a mix-up with our fan-light (my fault), they came back and made the modification without charging me. Speaking to Dan was very easy and he really communicates appreciation for the business we were giving him. Marra Electric has a new long-term customer. I will use them again and tell anyone I know who needs electric work to give Marra Electric a call.

    I cant say enough about Marra Electric. All the great things said in the other reviews are true! I had a 9am appointment. They were on time, friendly and professional. They answered all of my questions without making me feel stupid for asking them. Their suggestions made sense. They took care of two different things in my house and within an hour and a half were finished with everything working perfectly. I was so impressed with the work they did, I literally ordered another light fixture while they were still there, and scheduled my next appointment for installation shortly after they left. Their prices were fair and reasonable. They are a great local business, and I recommend them without hesitation!

    I needed a meter panel repaired or replaced. (One power leg burned out, identified by PSEG). Joe showed up that day to evaluate and give an estimate. He gave me couple of options and a price that was more than reasonable to replace and repair it properly. Others would likely have been double the price as this was a repair needed to restore electric, although we were running on a generator. He was able to do the work the next morning and showed up as scheduled. Work was top notch and completed in a reasonable amount of time. I do almost all of my own repairs and rarely hire contractors or recommend them. Marra will be added to my short list of contractors that I am willing to recommend.

    Im very happy with Marra Electrics service.I had a long list of things to fix for my recently bought house. They came promptly to give me an estimate and figure out the repairs that needed to be done.I find it great that I knew exactly how much it would cost beforehand and wouldnt have to rely on hourly estimates.The service itself was great. The electrician was extremely professional and all the installations he did were top notch and looked great. He made sure to explain to me everything he was doing, and the reasoning for what had to be done.They found an unexpected issue with very bad (and dangerous) wiring in one of the rooms, and shifted the work plan a bit to make sure it was fixed and made safe before they left. They even found issues with the panel wiring that they fixed, which could have caused big issues in the future.I will use them for sure for any of my future electrical needs, and highly recommend everyone to use them.

I based my decision on the great reviews I read on Google. I decided to listen to the happy experiences of past Marra Electric customers. Dan, you, and your crew can add me and my wife to your happy and satisfied customers list. Marra Electric did a great job installing electric inside and outside our house. Dan and his crew were very pleasant to work with and very patient with my wife and I, as we made a few changes along the way.Dan, the owner, and his crew are very professional. Dan stands by his price. Dan does not try to sell additional items you do not need. His crew arrived on the scheduled date and time. Prior to doing any work, Dan’s job site leader, Kevin reviewed the work order with us. There were no shenanigans. The Marra Crew got to work right away. Dan’s crew were very caring and respectful people, they treated my home as if it were their own. The job site leader, Kevin was very friendly and answered any questions we had. It was nice to watch and deal with people who took pride in their work every day and did an excellent job doing it. These days, in my experience, you do not see a great work ethic like Dan’s crew anymore. Marra Electric’s values speak high volumes in my book.     Today, Marra Electric installed a manual transfer switch to enable a full house (10 circuits) emergency backup using my 6500W portable generator. The estimate quoted by Marra was the lowest of three that I had, and the equipment installed is the highest quality. That said, the only thing better was the crews knowledge, experience, and workmanship that was demonstrated throughout the job. The crew was generous to answer my questions and to advise with dos-and-don’ts. When the work was completed, as a test, and for my benefit, the crew and I performed a thorough hands-on, transfer of power from the grid to the generator and back again. For this homeowner, the entire experience was outstanding. Many thanks to Marra Electric, who have my full recommendation.

    I have used Marra Electric a few times and they have always done wonderful work. I had high hats installed in my basement, electrical outlets added, but the bigger job they did for me was installing a new house electrical cable with brand new breaker box, new breakers, etc. Ive never seen a breaker box so neatly wired. Perfectly done! The one thing I really like about this company is that they do not take any shortcuts. They do everything by the book and to code. The pride Danny has in his work and his attention to detail shows. Hes one of the few companies out there I feel very comfortable recommending.

    I wrote an email asking if this company could come and diagnose a problem with a 240 volt outlet. The owner was very friendly and contacted me right away. An electrician by the name of Kevin came out to my house the next business day, and was very fast, professional, and honest.     I called Marra to have a light installed --hard wired-- exterior --as I live at a dead end. Marra came out did the job-- nothing for me to clean up --the light has worked brilliantly.     During a blizzard a neighbor’s tree damaged my electrical service including the conduit on my house that feeds the meter. I called Dan at 8:30 pm.     I was having issues with loosing power on multiple outlets on different breakers. I called Marra Electric and they sent two electricians to my home almost immediately. They were able to assess the problem and determined that I had had a bad phase coming from the pole. They advised me to call PSEGLI because it was on their pole. PSEGLI came and repaired the burnt out phase on the pole now every thing is good.I would recommend Marra Electric to anyone needing service. They are honest and thorough!

    Kevin and Tanner came to my house and corrected all my low voltage issues with cable TV. After years of switching services the side of my house was a mess of cable wires and splitters. When they left all of my cables were inside the house and there was just a single wire heading into house.Dan the owner came to my house and the estimate was right on target. I would highly recommend this company and will use them for any of my other issues that will arise in the future.

    Excellent work. Replaced a range hood, and a few light fixtures including ceiling fan installations. Arrived on time, even a little earlier which we preferred.     My neighbor called these guys right after Storm Isaias when a tree ripped her service off the house. They Answered the phone , had me text photos to confirm damage, said they would be there the next afternoon....and THEY WERE! They fixed her service then came and reconnected my service when I thought I would have to wait for PSEG.     In recent years I have had several Electrical Contractors perform work in my home and there were no complaints. I called both of those contractors recently to get a quote to run a dedicated cat6 line from one room (where my routed sits) to the room where my new Sony tv is located. The reason I needed the dedicated line was due to the fact that some tvs have a wireless adapter that is not compatible with the newer routers. Both of the previous electricians (who performed major work in my house) provided me with very high estimates to run this new dedicated line thru my attic from the room where the router sits, and the room where the tv is located. I dont want to state the amounts they quoted me but to put it mildly, they wanted almost as much as the cost of the new 55 Sony tv itself. Neither company even had the courtesy of coming by in person to see firsthand what was needed to do the job.I decided to check with other electricians and so I contacted Marra Electric and spoke with the owner (Dan) who made an appointment to see the layout of the rooms involved and the attic where the cable would be run through. He not only arrived on time (exactly at 8:30am on a Saturday am) but his estimate was extremely fair. I booked the job with him on the spot because just from speaking with him in person, I knew he was head and shoulders above the competition.The work was done this morning and the 2 electricians (Kevin and Tanner) worked efficiently and neatly and left no evidence that a new line was even installed (walls were not notched or unnecessarily altered to run the line). Their professionalism was outstanding!My advice to anyone who is looking for a reputable, honest and outstanding company to handle their electrical needs, do yourself a big favor and call Dan to have him evaluate the job and give you an estimate. Another thing that I found very interesting about working with these guys is the statement they have on their business card which explains why their pricing is so fair - WE CHARGE BY THE JOB, NOT BY THE HOUR.

    Called them because we had no heat because the thermostat line was cut in the wall. They came over fast and fixed the problem within the hour. And it was a Sunday morning. Since then I have used them at least 5 times for repairs and instillations. Once they came over because I got lost in the wiring for a cieling fan. They did t charge me for that. I wish I could give 6 stars.

From the initial inquiry calls/emails with Danny (the owner) and getting a fair estimate in a painless process, to the responsive nature of the owner, the only thing left was the job itself. The crew of guys who worked on the job were professionals, took the time to survey the area, explained the process every step of the way and did a top-notch job.     I had gotten a combination fan/light/smart speaker, but found that it was too difficult for me to install. I hesitated to call an electrician to do the installation, because previous experiences with other companies had been expensive and not satisfactory. However, an outlet in the box that was to be used for the control unit began to fail, and I decided that I should get someone right away.I called Marras office, and received a return call from Dan within minutes. He told me he could have someone come within about 2 hours. In about an hour and a half, his man arrived and got right to work. The fan was installed very neatly and professionally, the control switch and a new outlet were installed, everything was checked for proper operation, and the work space was meticulously cleaned - all within less than two hours. The price charged was actually a bit lower than the ball-park figure Dan gave me on the phone, and it was more than reasonable.I know that I have found a reliable, professional, and reasonably priced electrician for all of my future projects. This is a GREAT company with really nice people running it. I enthusiastically recommend them.
