    We couldn’t be more pleased with Steve Tilton and Coastal Signature Homes (CHS). From the very first consultation to the final walk-through, their team demonstrated professionalism and attention to detail at every stage of the process.The quality of their work is unmatched—custom wood ceilings, elegant judges paneling, a beautiful built-in Murphy bed, and detailed trim and bookshelves that have given our home a timeless and unique feel.This home was built for our retirement years, but since we aren’t retired yet, we had to manage the build from afar, visiting the site just once a month. Trusting someone to build your home under those circumstances isn’t easy, but Steve and CHS earned our trust as the project progressed.     The best thing I could tell a prospective CSH client is - I would definitely build another house with this team. CSH guided us through the building process with great professionalism and skill. Our home was delivered on time and on budget. CSH kept us informed on our homes progress weekly and at times daily with emails and photos. They helped us through the process of selecting the materials, finishes and products for our home with professionalism, patience and the understanding of what really adds value to daily life once you move into a home. The quality of the finished product is remarkable. We love our home.

    Since we were building a home for the first time it was essential that we choose a builder who not only offered a superior product but who would also be patient and willing to guide us through the building process. CSH delivered on all counts. We were also immediately impressed with the exceptional quality of Steve Tilton’s homes. The extensive trim, high quality cabinetry and beautiful hardwood floors stood out immediately compared to other builder’s homes we had visited. After more research, we also discovered that CSH used the highest grade materials for everything from the foundation to the attic.Not only did Steve and his team deliver our beautiful home on time (which was especially important to us since we were renting during the build process) but he was personally available to answer any questions or concerns we had. He also consistently visited our house during construction to inspect the progress. And if a problem arose, he always took responsibility and made sure it was corrected to our satisfaction.But probably the most impressive thing we have noticed since the completion of our beautiful home, is CSH’s prompt response to any concerns or warranty requests. We continue to feel like we are as much a priority after the sale as we were in the beginning of the process. We highly recommend Steve and his team and would definitely use them again.

    Steve and his crew(s) built our custom retirement home in Hampton Lake and completed it well ahead of schedule. Long-time home builder friends of ours from MD and MI visited and, as all of our guests are, were amazed at the high quality of everything. There are several builders in the area that can build a house, but if you are looking for a quality, custom HOME, Custom Signature Homes is the clear choice.

    This is my third home I’ve built. None of them compare to Coastal Signature. If you don’t think you can have a good experience building a home, you’re wrong. Steve and Coastal Signature believe in making you happy. If you don’t like how something is done, just let them know, they’ll fix it for you with no fighting. The quality and trim work are amazing. If you look at other homes, you don’t see it it, and yet it standard for Coastal Signature. Steve believes the people he builds for, are now part of a family. He has at least 3 events every year where he invites everyone to. Even after you move in and need to have something done, there’s no hassle or fighting. Steve stands by his work. Something you just do t see with other builders. Don’t be fooled by lower cost homes. Most of those people regret not building with Coastal after they see what I got , compared to what they got and the hassles with getting things fixed. All I can say is, give them a chance, see what they can do for you, you won’t be disappointed.

    We have owned a building site in the lowcountry of South Carolina in a gated community for a number of years with plans of building our retirement home. We spent approximately a year interviewing a number of highly recommended custom builders. During this time we toured their homes; some under various stages of construction as well as some completed. We also spoke with a number of their former clients to determine the degree of satisfaction.Although each builder we met specialized in custom homes and enjoyed an excellent reputation we observed a varying degree of attention to detail, especially in the fit and finish of the interior. Since this was our retirement home we wanted to have a builder who prided themselves on attention to detail. This we found to be a major focus of Coastal Signature Homes.The CHS team constructed our home ahead of schedule and although we added a number of additional items to the original contract also very close to the original budget. My wifes comment once the house was completed was it exceeded her expectations.The associates at Coastal Signature Homes were both professional and personable and kept us advised of their progress at each phase of the construction process. They alerted us in advance when various decisions regarding colors, fixtures, flooring selections, etc. would be needed. The entire building process was an enjoyable experience due in great part to CSHs expertise. Their team effort turned a house into our home.

    Our search for a home builder began shortly after we purchased our lot in Hampton Lake in 2016. We learned of Coastal Signature Homes through their model home at the time.
