Matt and his team are the most professional group of contractors we have worked with in our last 4 years of home ownership. Meccia B&R was the general contractor on our home renovation (HomeStyle Loan through Wells Fargo) and came recommended by our realtor, Heather Garrett-Muly. We could not be more happy with the workmanship and professionalism.Matt and his team essentially gutted the entire home and redesigned the basement and kitchen/living area (photos below). When issues arose, Matt was transparent and we trusted every recommendation he made. His pricing was extremely fair and there were no surprises, which is unusual when dealing with a job of this magnitude. Matt is also a great resource for referrals and each one of them checked out - plumbers, electricians, landscapers, painters, etc.We wholeheartedly recommend Matt and his team for any job, big or small. This is my third experience with Matt Meccia. From start to finish his work has been impeccable. Matts love for building shows in the quality of work he does. When refinishing my home, working from electrical, plumbing and remodeling anything that was on my list, he completed every project to perfection. Living on Wreck Pond, we have experienced serious flooding in the bottom third of our house 3 times in recent years. Each time Matt Meccia came in and not only restored the rooms involved but actually improved them. In addition Matt has done extensive work on our upper floors. He has considerably improved the look of our living room, dining room and kitchen. Matt has been a pleasure to deal with. Ive owned 5 homes over the past 39 years and have dealt with a lot of contractors. Matt Meccia is in my Contractors Hall of Fame. He took on a job to remodel a bathroom in our 100 year old shore house. The walls were out of plumb and the floor was not level. Matt had a plan in his place before we started to address these issues. He is well versed in structural principles and engineering but also gave us much stylistic design help. We are very happy with Matts work and are already planning another remodeling job with Matt.

We were so happy with our first renovation with Matt, we hired him a second time to help us dramatically change our 100 year old Belmar home. Based on Matts vision he transformed the house into a highly functional 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home. He maximized the existing space wherever possible and made better use of the front porch and added a large back deck. Because we are close to the ocean, Matt always suggested building materials which would hold up to the elements, such as CertainTeed vinyl shingles, Azek trim boards, Trex decking and PVC railings. While he worked with existing architectural plans, he was always creative with the details. It is these creative touches which give the house much character.
