    I had Round Lake Remodeling tackle a bathroom remodel for me and I am so impressed with the quality of work done I would give 10 stars if I could. Jake and his crew were professional, organized, overall very easy to work with. I have an old house that presented some challenges, but nothing that they couldn’t do- and do correctly! I would highly recommend Round Lake remodeling for your next remodel project!

    We had Round Lake Remodeling completely remodel our kitchen two years ago, and we couldnt be happier with the results.From start to finish, they were outstanding.     What started as a kitchen remodel grew to encompass the whole first floor of my house and I couldnt be happier! From start to finish we had an amazing experience with Jake and his crew. Becca helped us out with all the design decisions and I felt like both of them really took the time to understand our needs and put together a design that fit what we were looking for. The entire team is very professional and responsive. I recommend them for all your remodeling needs and I cant wait to work with them again om our next project!

    Our delayed review is not because we aren’t pleased with our kitchen remodel - it’s purely a reflection of us just not being folks who comment online but we recognize that most people do make decisions based on reviews nowadays, so this is our well-deserved exception and we’re finally posting! Round Lake Remodeling is a top level, truly professional company with an outstanding staff and we would gladly do business with them again. The entire team was a pleasure to work with. Our daily interactions were unlike any other contractor we’ve experienced. From our initial consultation to the design work to the completed project, Jake kept us informed. When something didn’t make sense, or someone thought of a better way, we were consulted before any work proceeded. They were courteous, kind, and left the jobsite very clean at the end of each day. Jake and his team admittedly stepped out of their comfort zone with a few elements of our kitchen, but Jake confidently assured us the team was capable and the results speak for themselves.     Thank you to Jake and his team for our amazing bathroom transformation. Round Lake Remodeling is truly custom work requiring a lot of decisions which Jake patiently guided us through. The best part was execution from the crew: attention to detail, can-do attitudes, speed and working super clean. Round Lake is a high integrity business you can trust.     We practically live in our new kitchen now! We absolutely love what Jake and his team have done to transform our kitchen. It has completely changed the feel of the house and gave it a more modern interior. They guided us through every step of the way and made every effort to make this project completely pain free. Theyve met all our expectations and more. We had several unplanned additions to the project including work in our living room. They happily addressed all of our additions.     RLR helped us with a significant home renovation, including a kitchen remodel. Jake, Becca, James and crew were fantastic to work with throughout the process. They were timely, professional, and patient. They listened to our wishes, addressed all concerns, and offered creative and thoughtful solutions to various issues along the way. They paid attention to detail and went above and beyond in many respects to ensure that we were satisfied. While it can be difficult to have many people in your home as the project is ongoing, the RLR crew is comprised of the type of people who you dont mind having around- respectful, kind and trustworthy. We are so thankful to Jake and his team for an incredibly smooth process and we couldnt be more pleased with our transformed space!

    *And after a year and a half we are more pleased everyday with the work! We couldnt be happier with our bathroom renovation! From start to finish, Jake worked so well with us on design ideas, troubleshooting in our old house, and doing exceptional work with his crew -- lots of attention to detail. Excellent people, products, and exceptionally neat in their work. Great communication with us throughout the renovation and on schedule. Were thrilled with our new boutique style bathroom which turned out better than we ever thought. We will definitely work with RLR again!And! The crew came back to install a vintage door as a barn door and we love it!

    As a threshold matter, I dont recommend anyone or anything that I wouldnt use with 1000% confidence. Jake and Round Lake Remodeling easily meet that threshold.Jake is remarkably honest, reliable, enthusiastic, competent, with an eye for detail and the dedication to make sure a job is done right. His whole team operates the same way. I was very lucky to find them.Renovations arent cheap, and when you plan on spending 15k+ on a bathroom or whatever, you dont want to hire the wrong outfit. Round Lake Remodeling is worth every cent. You wont regret it.

    Jake of Round Lake Remodeling is a class act, along with his whole team. They are a group of craftsman and workers who really take pride in what they are doing and the privilege of doing it within someones most treasured asset, their home. Jake finished our basement. He was timely, had great ideas for design and finishing and was honest and up front with pricing and cost. His quote remained true and unchanged throughout the project and only hard costs for changes we made throughout the process were added. We really felt he treated us fairly and we got a beautiful result.

    My husband and I had Round Lake Remodeling convert our exterior carpenter shed into a heated/cooled all-season office space. The team worked with us to develop a plan based on our financial goals, functional needs, and time restraints. They gave great feedback and helped guide us in making smart electrical and flooring selections. They were great at communicating project status and next steps. They also coordinated well with our HVAC vendor. In the end we did add on work scope due to other subcontractor delays. Round Lake Remodeling was able to accommodate the extra work in their schedule so we could meet our project goals.We absolutely recommend using Round Lake Remodeling!

    Highly professional business. Jake was wonderful to talk to, made my remodeling woes easy to address and a breeze to handle. Hes kind, caring and will make sure your home looks 10x better than before he walked in. We had a very bad mold problem in our bathroom and in a few hours, it was a worry no more. I cannot recommend Jake and his crew enough. You would be remiss, if you did not hire them.

    Jake and his crew built a custom marble shower in my bathroom. Its absolutely beautiful. They made sure the shower construction seamlessly blends in with the rest of the tile work in the bathroom. They are highly professional, reliable, and take great care in attention to detail.

    Round Lake Remodeling replaced two windows and a door for me. That doesn’t sound complicated but it was because my house was built in 1894 so nothing is plumb or a standard size. The end product is perfect and the process was completely professional. I will definitely use them again.

An old Victorian like ours can come with surprises and they carefully thought through any challenges, presented options and completed each task with masterful workmanship. In addition, they were prompt with their start date and daily working schedule. Needless to say, I would hire them again in a minute.

    We had Jake and team remodel our kitchen and half bath in 2021. The estimates were fair and very detailed, no surprises! As with any project, sometimes changes are made along the way and it was no issue. Hard working crew, honest very clean workspace.I hired them a second time to add some more cabinets a couple years later and they fit in perfectly. I’m looking to have my second bathroom done and I’ll be calling them again with no hesitation.

    To say that we have a gorgeous new bathroom is an understatement. We do have a gorgeous new bathroom, but we also have a bathroom that was designed and renovated with such good care, with such an eye for detail, with such craftmanship, and with an amazing aesthetic. From the planning stages with Jake and his competent design team, to the execution of the project with David Straight at the helm, to the daily interactions with the myriad of workers, all of whom were exceedingly polite and kind and respectful, we could not have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Round Lake Remodeling! In fact, we are having them back for several other smaller projects in the months ahead - and are very much looking forward to seeing everyone again.
