They always have great feedback about them once job is complete.They consistently provide great customer service, have integrity, show up on time, great communication and have fair pricing.We finally got to use them for our own house installing fans, cameras and alarms.As I would expect, the work was perfect and installed very quick and efficiently by the Black Bear team.Hard to find businesses with an owner that cares about his employees and treats them so well. Tom/Black Bear Electric was able to get us scheduled very quickly for service after we had a GFI socket in our kitchen burn out (smoking). Not only did Tom schedule us quickly, but he kept us informed via text as to his arrival time. He also took the time to assess the needed repairs and found another GFI that had not been grounded properly.Tom was patient while answering our electrical questions, as we are not the original owners of our home. We had power go out in part of our house and my husband was concerned it was caused by bad breakers. I called around and no one I spoke to was available same day until I found Black Bear Electric.I was told they could come by in the afternoon but it ended up that 20 minutes after I called, Tom moved his schedule around and was on site. It took him less than 5 minutes to address the problem and make my husband feel really dumb in the process!I have found the only electrician I will ever do business with in Black Bear and I whole heartedly recommend them. Integrity like Tom’s is rare these days and I’m grateful!

This was our second time using Black Bear Electric and just like our first experience they came in and saved the day! Tom is super responsive when we have reached out, both times in emergency, as we have a newborn and power is very important for us right now! The technicians are all so knowledgeable, friendly and trustworthy. These guys aren’t showing up trying to sell you things you don’t need. They get right to work to fix the problem and do a great job at explaining what they are going to do and the why behind it. I should also mention that they have all be super respectful too, not only of our time but of our home and space. Patrick came out this time around to fix damaged wires to our thermostat and triple checked to make sure that his work was complete and done right before leaving- it’s going to be a hot day and we need our A/C working! He also took an extra step to make sure the fix was aesthetically pleasing as we are selling our home and the damage (caused by us accidentally cutting the wrong wires- yikes!) did not make it easy on him, but he did it!

I called Black Bear because I have seen the trucks around town. They answered on the first call. I have tried to deal with other electricians and they appear to be too busy for me. Tom, who I believe may be the owner, set a time right away and came over 2 days later.I had already spent 6 hours trying to do the job. I guess everyone thinks that they can do something now it is all on YouTube. I couldn’t do anything and decided to finally call.Tom came over at the exact time of 9:30 am. I thought it was going to take several hours and Tom had all my fixtures and new lights installed within an hour.He was beyond fair and told me how much everything would cost upfront. Actually, way less than it would have beenI never leave reviews, however, this experience should not go unnoticed. I would give them more stars if I could. We have used Black Bear twice now, both times they where on time and very professional. The first time we had some issues with our GFI outlets that kept popping, Tom checked out the entire house and didn’t charge us a dime even though he was probably here for 30 to 45 minutes. Today was the second time I’ve had to call to have them come out. We are currently moving and needed an additional inspection of our electrical panels. I called at 8:00 am and Tom was here by 12:00 pm he did the inspection and I had all the paperwork I needed before five. I would definitely recommend Black Bear Electric and if we weren’t moving out of state we would continue to use them.

Black Bear has installed chandeliers, bathroom pendants, replaced smoke alarms, installed a dedicated circuit in my garage, removed recessed can lights, and best of all they corrected faulty wiring connections done previously in my home. Tom Hogan of Black Bear Electric was awesome. He arrived exactly at the appointed time. As I described my problems he was quick to figure out what circuits or sockets needed work or replacing. In a matter of 30 minutes he had diagnosed and fixed a breaker and 4 separate circuits affecting large portions of our home. When he finished, everything was working and problems that had annoyed us for months were gone. On top of it all The cidt was very reasonable. I will definitely be using Tom and Black Bear again.

An outdoor outlet mysteriously stopped working, but Tom was persistent in tracing the source of the problem to a burned out plug in a basement bathroom. He also corrected problems with wiring (a 4-way switch that didnt work correctly), hardwired our battery operated doorbell, and fixed a number of other electrical issues. He was consistently professional and respectful (e.g. responded to my message right away, put covers on his shoes when he arrived, explained the issues to us, etc.) His bill just arrived and it was more than fair. I wish all contractors were like Black Bear Electric.

This company is great! Always showed up on time and the electricians are very friendly and knowledgeable. I had a ceiling fan installed on a 12 foot ceilings and pendant lights at the same height. the electricians who came over were very respectable of my home and went above and beyond to make sure they left my home the way it was before. They even came back to do a height adjustment on the pendant lights with no problem. (everyone in the house but me is very tall so we had to take the lights up a few inches.) they even included checking on the fan that was installed to make sure everything was alright from the time they installed.Great company, great service. Will be recommending to everyone.
