Eric Walton did an awesome job from start to finish adding a 240V outlet to my garage for my Tesla. In addition to the 240V Eric also installed a home surge protector. I called around to get quotes this morning around 11am, but I would have had to wait for an appointment. However Eric with AstroWatt was out within 2 hours and completed the job same day. Incredible! I highly recommend AstroWatt for your electrical needs. I plan on leasing an electric vehicle, so I researched several home chargers. I contacted AstroWatt based on their strong 5-star reviews. I spoke to Paul several times, helping me with my charger selection and scheduling of the charger once received. He was very polite and accommodating since my charger was delayed in shipping and had to reschedule the installation twice.Chris, their electrician, showed up on time and was very attentive and helpful in discussing my location options along with the costs. They even send you an email before their arrival with the photo and information of their employee so you are aware of whos coming to your home. Very nice.Chris and I found a way to minimize conduit and holes being drilled so Chris took the time and patience and accurately installed the wiring, conduit and charger within hours of arriving. He also cleaned up everywhere and answered all of my follow-up questions.I decided to get an in-home surge protector based on their recommendation, since I recently replaced my HVAC systems and refrigerator and dont want to chance them getting damaged by an electrical spike/surge.I should also mention that AstroWatt permitted the work, including scheduling of the inspection, which occurred only 3 days after the installation. Their labor has a lifetime warranty, and staff is knowledgeable and helpful but never pushy. Ill be recommending this company to friends needing electrical services.

We had an emergency electrical problem and AstroWatt was able to jump in right away and diagnose the issue and offer different levels of solutions. We ultimately had them upgrade all our old aluminum wiring, breaker box, and various other updates to bring our 54-year-old home up to date.Grant was the lead electrician on our job. He and his team were very knowledgeable, extremely hardworking, dedicated to quality, and stayed on schedule to the best of their ability.Our house is old, so many challenges came up throughout the project. They worked diligently through them and sorted out all the kinks before wrapping up the job.Their team is friendly, respectful, and organized from estimates to final inspections. I have had a good experience with this company. I had an urgent need to fix the smoke detector system in my house. The companys response was quick and an appointment was set up the same day. The technician was friendly and competent and we worked out what was necessary to be replaced to ensure the safety of the property. Every single person involved in my transaction were STELLAR. The office team was great, Christian our estimator was incredibly meticulous (in a great way) and our installers (Adam and Ken) were superb! We had new outlets run, 3 light fixtures installed, new dedicated circuits run, code violations corrected and a few other things. Had the estimator not been as through as he was we would have missed a couple of items that were true safety hazards. Adam and Ken did a fantastic job of explaining everything they were doing and provided really great suggestions for improving functionality. You won’t regret using this company. Top notch customer service across the board!

Grant came to our home to give us an estimate for the installation of two light fixtures. When he arrived, he used shoe covers & a door mat to keep our home clean. After giving us a reasonable estimate, we asked him to go ahead with the project. Before starting the project, he did a thorough check of our electrical system. He was very thorough & explained all that he was doing. After he completed the installation, we had several questions about some future projects. He answered all our questions & explained the process. We’ve used AstroWatt for several years & will continue to do so. They are the only company who will be completing these projects for us. I wasnt going to really leave a worded review, and I just submitted a 5 star since I wasnt there (my wife was) when they came out to attempt and help service our electrical issue with our water heater. While they couldnt fix the issue, due to being out of their scope of repairs, the customer service was great, the technician was friendly and courteous and ensured that he had his plastic boot coverings, and even laid down mats to prevent dirt/debris from tracking in our house. I appreciate the little touches!But at the end of the day, what made me come in and update my review, was we received a package in the mail from AstroWatt. Opened it up, not really expecting anything anyways, and they had sent us a little AstroWatt plushie, and a nice handwritten note thanking us for choosing them, and saying that a little birdie had told them that we would maybe enjoy a stuffed plushie. My wife is about 8 months pregnant, and she was thrilled to see the plushie.Thank you team, for going above and beyond, and making us feel like we matter, and even though we couldnt have our issue resolved, Id definitely use AstroWatt in the future going forward. AstroWatt was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Makayla scheduled us for service after calling to understand the issue we inquired about. She was extremely transparent about the whole process and what to expect the day of the job. Colby was the electrician who came out to our house and there are not enough good things to say about him. While our initial request was about some faulty outdoor lights, he conducted a diagnostic check prior to fixing this issue and alerted us of some wiring issues that were missed during our home inspection. We have a good understanding of what we need to prioritize moving forward with future services. In regards to the outdoor lights, Colby worked hard in the rain and did a tremendous job at replacing our fixtures and wiring. Our house feels much more welcoming and safe at night with the proper lighting. Our only regret is that we did not reach out to AstroWatt sooner!

Astrowatt did a whole home re-wire for our 1951 cape cod, a project that ended up being an incredible undertaking. Our project was led by Matthew who was accompanied by several others. Even when our project stretched weeks beyond what we anticipated or what the company anticipated, Matthew stayed positive and helpful. Seriously. It can’t be overstated how hard and long this project was and how diligently and kindly he worked. Tom was also incredibly helpful, when we ran into issues with timeline and more wall damage than expected (because 1950s house), he worked to make accommodations that made a huge difference for how we felt about the project during and after.Overall, a professional service that was good at a custom job. It looks good—really good— and I feel great knowing that if we run into a problem in the future, we can have them back. Highly recommend!

Stephen and the people at Astro bot electricity did an amazing job. We had what we thought was a simple fuse breaker issue. Stephen came to our house immediately and diagnosed a larger issue. That was a potential safety concern. He provided us with three options, and was not pushy and Sharing them. He spoke to me plainly and provided a very thorough explanation of the work. We had what could’ve been A potentially dangerous fire hazard. Stephen and his team took their time in removing and exchanging 17 of our outdoor outlets and making sure they were up to code. While the price was higher than we expected, we are still thankful that the team located our problem and was able to fix it On the same day. I would gladly recommend The Astro watch team 1000 times over.

Colby at Astrowatt Electric installed a receptacle in our garage for our EV. I called about getting an estimate this morning and he arrived within 1.5hours, provided a full-house free safety check on our home and then developed 3 estimates for the work to be done for the receptacle. The prices were in line with what we expected, so I approved the work and Colby proceeded to complete the job and provides us some creative options about where to place the receptacle. Astrowatt orders the inspections for the work which should be completed by the end of the week. The job was complete in 4 hours. Colby provided excellent service (a company core value). I highly recommend them. Alaina, the office staff, was super helpful as well. The best part was their friendliness and knowledge. I will definitely seek out Astrowatt Electric for future electrical needs.

Its not often you run into a company that operates the way that AstroWatt does. From the beginning, they were responsive and extremely professional. When installing an EV charger they handle the permit and inspection which is not something all companies do. I ended getting quotes from a few electrical companies and AstroWatt was the best quote. While you may be able to find cheaper if you decide to go with a handyman or smaller company the professionalism and quality of service as well as transparency pays for itself. My technician Adam was very knowledgeable and made sure I had no unanswered questions at every step of the process. I highly recommend this company and will be using them in the future. We hired Astrowatt for a custom rewire for our 1950-built home. They were absolutely the right company to work with. The things they do exceptionally well apply to a wide range of projects: customer service (among the best Ive ever seen), reliability (they showed up every day of the 8-week project), quality of work (top-notch), adaptability to issues along the way (making it work).The challenges we encountered were more specific to our particular project--the degree of customization in the lighting and electrical plan, aesthetics/design decisions (and communications about design-decisions), and the unique challenges created by our 75-year-old house. The project was originally estimated to be a 3-week project; it took 8 because of the number of cross-beams (they were everywhere!) and paneling. I think we also could have benefited from a shared, highly-specific design/lighting plan--and more consistent mid-day communication when decisions had to be made--to avoid having to recut or move lighting fixtures or outlet holes or switch locations. That said, they were accommodating each time we needed to recut something. (Again...best-in-class customer service.)We worked the most with Matthew -- he was EXCEPTIONAL. Very patient. Easy to work with. Tom was also super helpful each time an issue came up, and he devised a number of creative strategies to get us what we wanted in the project. The final project is BEAUTIFUL and SAFE. Were happy customers.

This is without a doubt one of the best companies I have ever used. I used them a few years ago to install outside lights and timers on my home and had the same impeccable service. This time I had a few safety concerns with my outlets (Christian did a thorough assessment and even discovered my iron was using an extremely high amount of amps for the outlet it was on (enough for the whole circuit so be aware of this yourself!) and we decided to run a special circuit and outlet for peace of mind since I do a lot of ironing. Another concern was that one of my light switches wouldn’t stay flipped on so he investigated and realized the wires connecting to the outlet hadn’t been wrapped correctly (an issue likely throughout the house) and some of the wiring connecting to the outlet was damaged. I was also interested in having a whole home surge protector installed which he did as well. He answered all my questions and gave me different levels of service price points before proceeding. In the end he customized the estimate to get me to a price point in my budget which I very much appreciated. Also, he was extremely respectful of my time (in order to finish the job he called in a crew of several cheerful excellent team members at 5:30pm to help him work until 9pm). I just went about my business while they worked throughout the house and I felt completely at ease that they knew what they were doing. I rarely feel this way about a company but I do with them. I wish all businesses had this much integrity.

We had a great experience with this company, and with Chris in particular. Chris was very polite and extremely knowledgeable. He listened to our needs and gave us three quotes with different tiers of work to be performed. He even assessed our home and suggested some safety upgrades. Chris, and another technician Steve, installed three ceiling fans and rewired one outlet. Everything came out perfect. They worked quickly and neatly. Unfortunately, one fan has a manufacturer defect. Chris diagnosed it for us, suggested what we should do, and said he will install the replacement fan once we get it. We are extremely pleased with the service we received from Chris and Steve, and also the communication and updates from AstroWatt. We will definitely use them again in the future.

First time customer and this company is just amazing!! From the beginning, they were very responsive and extremely professional. I needed an EV charger installed and after the first call they even sent me information about EV chargers and the installation process which was a nice addition. They text you, email you, and even send you a picture of the technician that is on the way. My tech Jacob came first day and assessed the whole situation including creating a load assessment which showed I was almost at max power capacity in my sub-panel. He then presented me with 3 options and quotes which would require upgrading my sub-panel breaker and cables. Other electrician’s I had out didn’t even fully check this, so I felt confident this company knew exactly what they were doing. Normally they can perform the work same-day, but with my situation it was requiring him to return another day. Once I decided on the best option for our situation the office contacted me and was even able to squeeze me in ahead of schedule to get this work completed.Jacob came back out and performed the work and did an amazing job. The job did take longer than expected, but he stayed late into the night to make sure the job was done and completed correctly! He is very detailed, extremely knowledgeable, and even explained a lot of the process with me to help me learn all he was doing.Jacob is a top-notch electrician, and I would highly recommend this company and will be using them in the future. Is it possible to give six stars? Ten? Consider it done!From last Saturday, when we lost power due to a tree branch falling on our power line, everyone at AstroWatt has been amazing. First, Tom, one of the owners, called us back on Saturday evening (when he should have been out dancing!) and talked us through what wed need, and set up an appointment for first thing Monday morning, even though they were booked solid.Then, Chris, wonderful Chris (who plays guitar, likes tacos--which we know because AstroWatt sends out a picture and bio to customers for their technicians as theyre heading over to your house), contacted us Monday morning and offered to pick up something for us from Starbucks on his way--an offer we gratefully accepted. And that was just the beginning of Chriss fabulousness! He talked us through everything we needed repaired to pass inspection and get our power back on, gave us options, and approached everything he did with an eye to doing it in the safest and most elegant way possible, including dealing with Duke Energy and arranging the inspection. Honestly, hes given new life to our almost-100-year-old-house, and we feel safer than we have in years. And he was such a delight to be with, too!Ken, who worked with Chris, was also wonderful: friendly, kind and fun. Chris and Ken left the house spotless, and we now have two gorgeous new electrical boxes (one inside and one outside) with room to expand--maybe even charge a future electric car.And finally (though only for the moment, as well be hiring AstroWatt again to do more work very soon and know well meet more people) Nathan, the technician coordinator, wrote a delightful note to us this morning about our final inspection, breaking the news--with grace, humor and wit--that one of us would have to be here all day for whenever the inspector came.We love AstroWatt and will be recommending them to everyone, as well as hiring them ourselves for our electrical needs. They are wonderful human beings who happen to offer some of the best customer service weve ever seen.

We have used AstroWatt three times now and Chris has always been the electrician; which is nice to have the same person!!We contacted AstroWatt online late afternoon Sunday to have an EV charger installed. I received a call early Monday morning and was able to schedule an appointment for Wednesday morning. I later received a call asking if I was available today for the technician to come out which worked perfectly with my schedule. Chris (tech) and another gentleman evaluated the area and provided feedback not only for the EV charger but a general electrical review. We decided to go with the WallBox charging vs the 240 wall outlet. He was able to get one and had the whole process completed in 4 hours (which also included a whole house surge protector). Both were very professional and provided information on the various ways we could proceed. I would definitely recommend AstroWatt Electric.

Our technician, Chris Crammer, did a thorough inspection of our electrical system because our light bulbs blew out too frequently. He offered us many different options and even put into consideration how long we plan on living here. He discovered some wiring issues with our outdoor outlets which he ended up repairing and replacing. He also installed a whole home surge protector for us. Christian gave me a lot of information and provided several different levels of estimate so I could pick one I was comfortable with. He did a safety check and found a safety violation that I also had fixed. He also suggested some improvements for surges and grounding that I had done. When I asked questions, he answered them professionally, so that I couldn’t tell if they were dumb questions or not (no repairman eyeroll). The checks, estimates, and work were all completed in less than 5 hours, which was great.

He first ran a careful inspection around the house and gave me a detailed estimates for different options with clear explanations. The service was done very beautifully and efficiently. He and his coworker kept my house clean and neat. What they charged us was very reasonable as well despite our projects were very small. This is my best experience with electricians so far. We recently contacted Alternate Current Solutions with a few concerns in our new to us 1980s home-they responded quickly, had appointments sooner than I anticipated, and everyone was incredibly nice!This past Monday Christian came out to diagnose the issues (crawlspace light not working, receptacle not working) and do an overall check-up on our outdated system. Unfortunately, there was a lot going on (about 40 years of ignored problems!) and it required two full days of work. When Christian went over the list of concerns with us, he was thorough and laid out the options clearly and completely. He answered all our questions and I never felt pushed to do more work than was necessary-they made sure to note what was urgent and what could wait pending our budget. To my surprise, they got us in for all the work within the week and repairs were finished just four days after the initial consult.Everyone we spoke with from the company was professional and kind and Christian was friendly but self-sufficient while he was at our home. Most importantly to me, however, was the fact that he treated myself and my husband equally without any sort of gender bias toward me-a problem we have had previously with other companys techs.Overall, the entire experience was great and I will absolutely recommend them to anyone and use them when we need anything down the line!
