    The guys from JM were a pleasure to work with and did a great job for our recent project. We live in a 100+ year old house in DC, and they helped us move the laundry from the kitchen to a closet upstairs. They did both the electrical and plumbing work in a day, and the challenges of the old house didn’t phase them.

    I had a really great experience with JM plumbing! We had a water heater leaking badly and were without hot water for several days while I searched for a plumber that could do the job and install the heat pump style I was looking for. Once I connected with Nick at JM they got me scheduled immediately for the next morning. The crew went above and beyond to leave a super clean install. They even took the extra step to improve on some poor workmanship left by previous contractors on the furnace gas line. Strongly recommended!

    We arranged with Nick to have a very old gas boiler and water heater replaced, and at the same time got other plumbing needs taken care of--a new sump pump and outside water faucet. Communication was great, all employees were courteous and professional, and the equipment installed seems fine, although we’re waiting for the heat to be needed, which should happen soon. The work area was left tidy.

    Our tankless hot water heater had had no maintenance at all in the 15 years weve had it. I contacted the original installers who asked pertinent questions about the system and whether there were any problems as part of the scheduling process. They then got a man over to our house the next day. Both the scheduler (Nick) and the tech who came to our house (Dimitri) were very pleasant to work with. Dimitri in particular was familiar with our particular tankless system since he has one himself and was able to offer first hand experience with the set up. He was admirably honest about what was needed and what we could possibly wait on, as well as what the manufacturer recommends. It turned out that bees had gotten into the fan that vents the system outside which was causing a noise and some blocking of the venting. Dimitri was able to clean out the fan from inside the house but no major scaling or flushing work was required. While there, he fixed a toilet that had a leaking flapper. I thought the charge was maybe a bit high but it was much less than less than they had originally quoted since the larger job was not ultimately needed. I would certainly recommend JM, a long established family-owned business.

    My hot water heater went out early on a Sunday morning. JM Plumbing and Heating quickly came to my rescue. By sending photos of my old tank and communicating via text, we agreed to what I needed as a replacement. Early, Monday morning, I received the estimate and at 2:00, JM Plumbing and Heating was at my door with a new gas hot water heater!They replaced the old tank and removed it. They cleaned up well and no mess was left behind. I received specific instructions on how to turn everything on and off, if I were to have an emergency again.I will definitely use them again.     I had a great experience with JM Plumbing. Nick and his team were great to work with. They were extremely helpful in walking me through the process of replacing my boiler that ran on oil fuel.     We had a great experience with Nick and his team on the repair and maintenance of our furnace and radiators. I called multiple companies that told me they couldn’t come out for a month+ and Nick came by the next day to take a look at our furnace and they started the work the following day. Our furnace is 26+ years old and it required some new parts and a lot of maintenance. The team was extremely detail oriented and never rushed the job. They ended up encountering some additional issues and worked on the problem until it was complete. They were all extremely professional and nice, and they communicated with us every step of the way.     JM has remarkably good reviews and this is no accident. Working with them has been one of the most positive service-vendor-related experiences Ive had as a homeowner. I submitted a query via their online form and within hours was asked if I could provide photos of the issue areas. The next afternoon a rep from JM was at my home assessing the situation. There was an extremely reasonable estimate in my Inbox by the following afternoon and two days later, JM was at my house getting the work done. They took out an old water heater, put in the new one and fixed a cracked sewage pipe in a little over 2 hours. They were polite, communicative and seemed more than willing to explain what are probably simple plumbing concepts to this non-plumber. They left the work areas cleaner than they were when they arrived. And they were happy to respect my COVID-related requests for masks. Finding a service vendor you can trust is gold. Its good to know that Ive got one in JM - well be working with them again in the future.

    I contracted with JM to install a new boiler in our home. I solicited nine bids, and though their estimate was not the lowest, I felt confident in my decision. From my first contact with JM to the conclusion of the installation they knocked the ball out of the park. They left no doubt in my mind that I was a valued customer, and never once tried to dumb me down (other’s did). Their follow-up after contracting was smart and encouraging. By the time their installation team arrived I knew that I would be delighted with every aspect of their work. Everyone that I encountered at JM treated me with respect and provided informative and timely information. They delivered on every promise that they made. Also, I’m no stranger to tools and was pleased to see how well they handled theirs. I felt good through the entire process and would not hesitate to recommend their work and validate their heightened customer sensitivity, especially when it came to respecting my home and my questions.     JM plumbing replaced a water heater for me in august. They were responsive, prompt, and affordable. They cleaned up after themselves, and left the place neater than they found it. Good thing too, because my furnace in the same house started leaking, (well flooding, really), on Friday night, right before the first big snowstorm we’ve had in a couple of years. I called, and left a message for Nick, and he got back to me quickly with a game plan for replacing the old one. While my tenants went without heat over the weekend, by Tuesday morning, the guys were at the house with a new furnace. Installation was great and heat was restored. Given that it was a weekend and the weather was terrible, I was thrilled that it was handled as quickly as it was.I am glad that the initial job they did was so well done, because I don’t know who I would have called otherwise about the furnace. I’ve recommended them to several friends and will continue to do so.

    We had a great customer experience with JM Plumbing and Heating. Nick was very helpful and had great communication from beginning to end of the transaction. Ziyad was very professional when he came to make the first visit and assessment. He clearly explained the problem(s) and the pros and cons of repairing vs replacing. We opted to replace, and Im glad we did. Ziyad came with two other techs to do the actual HVAC replacement. When they were in the middle of the job, they got a closer look at the water heater and advised me that that needed replacing as well. (We had been advised by our home inspector two years earlier that the water heater would need to be replaced sooner rather than later, so I knew they werent just making it up.) The team worked all day (12 hours) to get everything done, and Ziyad came back the following day to adjust one small thing. Overall, I was impressed with the quality of JMs work and their professionalism. They cleaned up the work site very thoroughly and walked me through the work that had been done. I would recommend them and will go back to them in the future should the need arise.

They jack-hammered up our basement floor to run pipes to a new bathroom there (and offered great advice to improve the design), replaced our furnace, and are now helping us out on a bathroom reno upstairs.We have primarily worked with Nick, Jose, and Dmitri--all are pleasant, friendly, informative, and trustworthy. Dmitri came to my moms house for a leaking toilet, and not only made the repairs--he was kind and patient with my mothers dementia-related repetitive questions.     We happened on JM Plumbing & Heating through a search of Navien Combi Boiler installers in the area. Our old boiler system and water heater were going to be removed for a remodel and needed to be replaced with a modernized system. Nick at JM was able to install this combi boiler with a very short lead time and kindly provided space heaters for the 4 days we did have to be without heat for the boiler pipes to be relocated. Throughout the process Nick checked in onsite and via text and phone, and made sure everything was moving along smoothly and in a timely manner. He also checked in twice after install to make sure heat and hot water were still working as expected.We are very happy with the work that has been completed by JM Plumbing & Heating and look forward to working with Nick and his team in the future.

    In November 2010, J.M. Plumbing & Heating Corp. installed a new Carrier 80% gas furnace and two-stage A/C, Honeywell electronic air filter, Carrier humidifier, Infinity System thermostat, and a new 50 gallon hot water heater. They provided new ductwork, as needed, and installed a new concrete pad outdoors for the A/C unit. Nick and Jose are top-notch professionals. Our project went smoothly from start to finish.     Excellent service, they installed my initial tankless water heater (Steibel Eltron) electric in October 2008. A lot of work and cost initially as they had to bring electric wiring up to code to handle unit, but it was worth it. The Unit died exactly 1 month after 3 year warranty expired November 2011.I called JM plumbing and they installed a brand new unit that the German manufacturer honored and replaced a month out of warranty. That impressed me-manufacturer honoring the unit a month after warranty expired.Fast forward to June 2019, unit was acting up after 9 years and JR Plumbing installed new electric unit and the warranty is now 7 years for the Electric unit, Steibel Eltron,JR Plumbing are professionals who know their craft and get the job done. I will always use their company for all my tankless system issues.

    Fabulous is an understatement. JM Plumbing found a solution to our design problem that had other plumbers shaking their heads no. In short, we wanted to replace a hot water heater under our stairs with a tankless heater and gain a bit of room for a pantry in the process. Nick saw the problem others saw but then looked around the house and discovered he could put it in the crawl space in our attic. His four person crew showed up at 8 a.m. on schedule and stayed until 9 p.m. that night finishing the plumbing and, incidentally, also adding a whole house humidifier. That wasnt enough time to fine tune it though, so two members of the crew came back the next morning and finished up the heater settings and explained everything to us about maintenance and operating. When after a couple of days of operating the humidifier, we noticed some burping after it started up so his crew returned and fine tuned it as well.     I’d give Nick, Dmitri and team 10 stars!!!!!!!I had a particularly difficult replacement job on my 15 year old Rinnai Tankless Water Heater which was very poorly installed by another company. Completely inaccessible, wonky piping, wonky exhaust, gas line sticking out, NO space to work in in a tiny DC row house built in 1908.They came up with a brilliant solution installing a small wall and moving the new Rinnai to that wall which made it completely accessible. They rerouted pipes and gas line making them more logical and out of the way as much as possible.They were also unbelievably responsive. Used drop cloths, cleaned up and removed trash.Seriously outstanding work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    JM Plumbing & Heating was referred to us by friends of ours that had their A/C system replaced - they recommended JM for their low cost and high quality. In May 2019 we contracted with JM to replace our own A/C system. The work involved replacing all the equipment, changing the location of the inside unit from the middle of the attic floor to under the eves and the condenser from one side of the house to the other, plumbing and installing a whole-house humidifier, and running new duct work through the ceilings. The total job cost $16k and was done in two days. We were very pleased with cost and the result – a great value!This month as we refinished the attic around the new unit, we asked JM to come back and reroute a return duct and install a second return. They promptly sent out two technicians who got it done in 6.5 hrs. I have yet to see a final bill for the job, but am sure it will also represent a great value.I highly recommend JMs HVAC work and will use them again myself.

    Our boiler was leaking so we needed a replacement quickly. JM was fast, easy to work with, offered a number of options, and had competitive pricing. It’s been installed for a month and we’re pleased.Our one complaint is that it appears they helped themselves to the laundry basin I use to hand wash delicate items, presumably to empty the radiator system, and ruined it. They should bring everything they need to do the job—or should have asked what they could use. It’s now permanently dirty and stained (I tried cleaning it) so I obviously can no longer use it. Ugh.
