    Recently, while we were out of the country and had a friend watching our house; a huge tree branch fell during the recent ice storm and ripped the mast / meter off the side of our house.I lucked out when I called Ward electric. I was speaking to the owner (Mike Ward) within minutes of calling. He reassured me that he would treat me like he would his own family member; he couldnt have put it better. His crew was over to my house in hours and worked tirelessly despite the inclement weather to restore the mast and meter on my home.Upon returning home, the crew had to come out and finish up a bit of grounding / bonding. I couldnt have been more pleased when I got to meet his guys in person. They were kind and not only finished up the job, but also took the time to help me troubleshoot another issue I was having after the storm, show me what they did and answer any questions I had.If I ever need the services of an electrician again, Ill be calling Mr. Ward and his team.

    My husband and I were overjoyed to discover Ward Electric after having a poor experience with a different company. Mike Ward made an excellent first impression by arriving to our home to inspect our electrical issue within the hour I first called to request service. Mike took the time to show and explain the electrical issue and he described what needed to happen to resolve it. I appreciated his honesty and straightforwardness. Jenny in their office communicated clearly, professionally and she coordinated the appointment and billing. Within a week (even with the holiday), Mike had two electricians, David & Brandon, out to our home to complete the job. After they were finished, they showed me what they installed and talked me through the upgrades they made as well as answered all my questions. My husband and I are very impressed by Ward Electrics service. We will use their service again in the future. Highly recommended!

    I had an emergency situation in which my electrical service needs to be replaced in my home do the Breaker Box was arcing with smoke. Ward Electric took our call and the owner was dispatched to my house within 30 minutes. Mike understand the critical nature of the issue and provided a very honest review along with pricing for the service.The pricing was very fair and he was able to re-arrange the schedule to have 2 Electricians on site within 45 minutes after I accepted the work quoted. The Electricians were very professional and courteous at all times. I was able to leave my house with no issues with them being there as well.Our power was up and running the same day and they came back the next day to finish labeling the boxes and also did some extra work I need to have done in my Kitchen and bathrooms as well. They cleaned up after themselves and didnt leave any messes.As mentioned above about the pricing being very fair. Ward Electrics pricing was almost $2000 cheaper than what someone else quoted me for just swapping out the 100 AMP service and taking care of the outside mask up to the CP Hook Up. Ward Electric did the same thing not only upgrading the service from 100AMP to 150AMP with plenty of room to spare, but also took care of the entire outside replacing the wires and pipe for the mask to the actual CP Hook.Great Job by all and very quick response to a emergency situation!

    Was very impressed with ward electric.. had a breaker panel go bad and they had it switched out with a new one in less than 24 hours... will definitely be calling them with any other electrical concerns..

    Some how I blew out my entire breaker box when I plugged in my electric stove after repairing it. On a Saturday evening with in 15 minutes of my call Mike Wade the owner came out did some minor repairs until the parts and job can be finished on Monday. My son is on a ventilator so it was important that he came out with a solution and they did. Thank you for the great service. I will definitely use this company again.

    I called Ward Electric during a week day for an issue I was having with my circuit breaker box. I was told I could expect an approximate 20 minute wait which I thought was reasonable. When they showed up (on time), I found out he was the owner. He diagnosed the problem very quickly and told me they would have the fix completed the next day which did happen. I cant say enough about Ward Electrics professionalism throughout the whole process and wouldnt hesitate to use them again.

    Ward Electric saved my home. My electrical panel was a fire hazard waiting to happen. Mr. Ward and his team diagnosed the problem and saved my home. They did an amazing job of upgrading the electrical panel and they completed the job within budget. I would highly recommend Ward Electric for all your electrical needs. The staff is professional and very experienced in all electrical issues.

    Mike and his crew are top notch. A couple weeks ago while I was at work, my wife noticed a strange electrical issue at home. All the lights in the house started flickering from really bright to dim by themselves. My wife decided to call an electrician to get someone out to take a look at the panel ASAP. This was before normal business hours and Ward Electric answered the call. While on the phone with Mike, the owner, the main panel started shorting out and began shooting sparks everywhere. Mike advised my wife to hang up and dial 911 and get everyone out of the house. Shortly after the fire department, ambulance and police showed up, so did Mike! Mike even beat me to the scene and it was my family and home at risk.After all the chaos and smoked cleared, Mike stayed behind to take a look at what happened. He provided me with an estimate for the repair and offered his services to help take care of the issue starting that day.It took Ward Electric about 2 days to replace and repair everything that was necessary to be able to restore power back to the house. This included a whole new main disconnect and 200 amp breaker box as well as replacing some of the branch circuits throughout the home.Mike even went the extra mile and talked with my insurance adjuster to help fill in some of the more technical details of the event. He provided a very detailed report on his findings and analysis of the damaged items which was submitted right to the insurance company.Every person I dealt with from Ward Electric was very kind and professional, from Jenny the receptionist to Brandon the electrical foreman on the job. They did great work and cleaned up after themselves when the job was completed. I couldn’t be happier and will always turn to Ward Electric in the future.

    Great experience! Power went out unexpectedly and we called Ward Electric per our neighbors recommendation. They arrived extremely quick and were very informative when describing the issue. They fixed the problem and boom we had heat again... and my wife was no longer cold. Happy wife = happy life... thanks Ward Electric!!

    David came out incredibly promptly, on a Sunday, to diagnose issues we had with power after our generator switched off. He was prompt, efficient, and very helpful. Would definitely use this company and request David again in the future.

    I would highly recommend Ward Electric. Their service was first class. We had the power box to our AC unit randomly start on fire and damaging all the wiring and breakers during a few very hot days. They came out the same day and had everything fixed. They also took pictures and had everything in order for our insurance claim without even asking, which was very much appreciated. From start to finish, they were considerate and treated us as if we were their top priority with numerous calls to keep me updated while I was at work and fully explained everything in detail. They more than exceeded my expectations.

    Highly-recommend Ward Electric. Mike was professional and started work on my rental property rewiring project (knob and tube replacement) BEFORE the scheduled date and finished ahead of schedule. Other electricians I contacted were rude or twice as expensive, so I am happy to say, Ward Electric is my electrician for Grand Rapids.

    We lost power in a line of outlets. We called Ward Electric and set up an appointment with them. They sent out their electricians, Rob and David. They were on time and quickly diagnosed and repaired the problem. They did an excellent job and left the project very neat and clean. We would definitely use them again.

    On 07/08/2013 I called Ward Electric after I lost half my power. It was past their regular time, since I didnt think it was a emergency they offered to have some call in the morning to setup a appointment. They called around 7:30 a.m. the next day and had the owner out to inspect the area and plan the materials by 9 a.m. Like most profession tradesmen that are good at what they do he did come across as a bit arrogant, but he was professional and respectful. His bid was reasonable enough I didnt feel the need to get another. They started the work the day after the quote. The crew worked diligently and answered what questions I had. Being my first project I didnt have a idea of the time involved, nor was I given a estimate. They arrived around 8:30 a.m. and got right to work. When they had finished around 5 p.m. they told me what I needed to know about the new equipment and cleaned up after themselves. Over all it was a very positive experience and if i had to do more work down the road they would be my first call.

    I recently moved into a new house and needed to get an electrician out for some work around the new place. I called a bunch of places and no one responded or called me back. Ward Electric picked up the phone right away and also spoke with the owner of the company to get the work done on my place. They arrived on time and finished right when they said they would. They installed a new 150-amp electrical service for the house. The price was very reasonable and the warranty for it is great.Am very satisfied with the work and will use them again for any other electrical work that is need.

    Had a few outlets go out and no amount of resetting the GFIs in the house made them work again. Called Ward Electric on a recommendation from a neighbor, appointment was a week out but they called the next day saying someone was available. Tech David arrived as promised, wore a mask, troubleshot the issue and found the previous homeowner incorrently wired a braker so instead of tripping, it overloaded the circut and melted one of our outlets. Not sure how we escaped the situation without a fire. David replaced the outlet, switched out the incorrect breaker, and did so in a flash. Worked fast, was very professional, will use again if needed. Highly recommend.
