    I used Hauck for a new home build to do my pilings footings and block work for my garage They were amazing to work with from planning to completion everything went as planned on time and within budget. Lisa in the office is an asset she took care of anything that needed to be addressed. They are not only excellent at lifting homes they are great at building as well.

    SJ Hauck is hands down a 5 star home lifting contractor. They worked with my schedule and met every date that was set months prior to construction. The structure was lifted and set smoothly with no signs of any damage. No need to shop around these are the guys for any job.

    My house lift presented significant problems due to my surveyors errors in marking pile locations. Through it all, Pete Malik and the SJ Hauck team performed exceptionally. They reset the project schedule to adopt the new foundation design and kept the project on track. If they ever had a day where they could not get something done that they were supposed to, they told me about it beforehand along with when it would be done. I knew they were good, but since they have moved on and other contractors have followed with framing, siding, windows, and roofing. The performance of the follow-on contractors has made me wish that SJ Hauck did this work too. SJH communicates, and that is very novel among South Jersey contractors.Finally, I added an Interlocking Concrete Paver permeable driveway at the last minute. It was not an authorized permeable paver option in Ocean City, but I submitted the technical details and got it approved. I asked SJH if they could handle it - and they made it happen. I did not know if SJH had ever done one of these before, but I was confident in their team. Pete, Bennie, Carlos and all the tradesmen are top notch. The driveway looks amazing.

    We used SJ Hauck in our recent lift of our Stone Harbor property. We could not be happier with the quality of work and the end product. From our initial meeting with Rob Kaiser in sales, to our communication with Thomas Sullivan in their office and especially the hard work of our project manager Will Grube what may have been a daunting stressful project, was not that, rather seamless, exceeding expectations. Their attention to detail, responsiveness and communication during the whole project was perfect, and most importantly the quality of work performed was exceptional.     We are in the process of a renovation and wanted to remove a load bearing wall in the house. Contacted SJ Hauck through a recommendation from a neighbor that had the same project completed. Worked with Rob Kaiser to get the project quoted, they responded quickly and even though not a large project for them, the started within a few weeks. Once started worked with Harold Haug and his team to coordinate to complete the project. Overall, the project was completed on time with no issues. I was also impressed with the use of the Buildertrend software to track the project status and schedule. I would definitely recommend SJ Hauck, they have the expertise and staff to support.     SJ Hauck raised our home in the first year after Sandy and I was very happy with their work. I did most of the repair and new construction work on my house and they made it very easy for me to get done what I needed to while working with them to raise the house. We received estimates from several different companies and chose them because their price was fair and they had completed several of our neighbors already. I honestly only have positive things to say about working with them. Friendly staff, always returned calls within a reasonable time, completed the project quickly, even though they had many projects going simultaneously and made the long task of completing our entire project easier. Ironically, most of the simple work we paid to get done by other contractors was over-priced and took more time than expected, the most difficult part, elevating a house overhead and building a new foundation, ended up being the easier part of the project.     SJ Hauck elevated my house. I am so glad that I hired them. I had a RREM grant. They started Labor Day weekend 2017 and I was back in my house by the beginning of March 2018. The lift included demolition of an existing 2 story deck and rebuilding it. I did not have any delays except for weather. I stopped by the house almost daily to get my mail. There was always someone working on something. Before we moved back in I wanted to get my floors refinished, but I needed my heat reconnected in the house to do the job. There was only one problem with one subcontractor for my plumbing, but the project manager and his assistant took my calls and met me at the jobsite well after hours on more than one occasion to try to fix things. The plumber was taking forever so Harold and Tom fired them and got me a new plumber that came out within a day to fix my heat. In addition to great work, if there was ever a problem or a mistake, they fixed it with no problem. One of the biggest assets is Dawn. I dont know what her position is but she worked tirelessly to get my grant paperwork in order. I never could have completed the paperwork if not for her. She maintained a good working relationship with my project managers from RREM and knew exactly what paperwork I needed each step of the way. All the workers from the lifters, carpenters, concrete, plumbing, electric, architect, engineering, managers and everyone else in between were so friendly, funny and accommodating. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone needing their house lifted. Just a heads up for anyone lifting a house. I have heard that many people experience delays because they use their own subcontractors and it takes a while to coordinate services. I used Hauck for everything and all went smoothly.

    We recently completed a large turnkey lift and renovation project with SJ Hauck in Somers Point and we could not be happier. This was a significant undertaking and the entire team at SJ Hauck made the project seamless. Communication with Steve Hauck, Tom Sullivan and Rob Kaiser was superb throughout our 18 month journey. When the actual lift and construction began we worked on a daily basis with our project manager, Harold Haug who was nothing short of excellent. He kept us informed of scheduling details and all relevant changes, he had a wealth of knowledge to share in layout, product details and design suggestions that were consistently on point, and he was ALWAYS available to meet with us personally to discuss any concerns we may have had, addressing them honestly and timely. Harold coordinated all of the different facets of our project from demolition, to the lift and framing crews as well as the mechanical and finish crews keeping our project moving throughout the stress of the Covid crisis without sacrificing quality, craftsmanship or integrity.     I contracted with SJHauck to perform a house lift and new foundation on my 3 story triplex located on the water in Ventnor. They did a fantastic job with a very complicated project. Craig was very responsive and was always available. Their entire crew from the lifters to the masons to the carpenters to the staff in the office were all very easy to work with!     SJ Hauck came highly recommended to remove instead of demo our house. After one call, Steve showed up the next day, explained our options, including how we could save $10,000. We shook hands and when we were ready to go, the team did there thing and in less than a week we had an empty lot.     We would highly recommend S. J. Hauck, for your building lift and set. They will get the job done!We hired S. J. Hauck to lift and set 2 buildings: our home and a 3 bay garage. They handled all aspects of the lift and set: placing and pulling out the I-beams and cribbing, safely lifting and setting both structures. It was not easy work and the team was professional in handling all the activities. They all knew what they were doing, they were very knowledgeable about all the phases of the project. They minimized any impacts on us as well.The staff behind the scene were a pleasure to work with. Always providing timely feedback to questions we had about the process, as this is not something we normally do.     Steve Hauck and his entire team are fantastic. Due to a fire, I needed emergency work on a building on the Ocean City Boardwalk. I was in a bad spot and need help. I called Steve on a Saturday and he started work the following week. SJ Hauck coordinated a structural engineer, shored up the building, performed demolition, and installed pilings, rebuilt the foundation and welded in new beams. I received daily updates from the onsite project manager, all the work was done quickly and perfectly, the team was very clean and SJ Hauck’s pricing was fair. Steve and the SJ Hauck team treated me with respect and as professional. I would recommend they to anyone.

    I have been looking for a contractor to help us through a foundation issue. I spent 2 years calling companies, setting up meetings at the property. Those companies would not show up or return calls. Very frustrating . I saw a house being lifted and remolded on our street with SJ Hauck sign, so I gave them a call. They returned my call, set up a time to look at the property and followed through as you would expect a company to do. They spent a lot of time going over what to expect and walked us through the process. We are extremely happy with our experience with SJ Hauck. Highly recommend

    We were fortunate to receive a grant from FEMA to elevate our beach house and since we were going up, we decided to add some interior renovations as well as add a 3 seasons room. We investigated another builder first, but then we met Rob Kaiser and immediately felt we were in good hands -- SJ Hauck was the one for us. He was instrumental in helping through the arduous process of satisfying grant requirements, and partnering with the architect and engineer to bring our vision to life. Harold Haug was our Project Manager and we could not have been happier working with Harold. He was a great communicator, very personable and really made us think through design elements so that the finished product was something we were all proud of. Harold helped us design and finish a 3 seasons room that is to die for! It is my favorite part of the house now! And our bathroom upgrades were spot on. There was no issue or challenges they couldnt overcome (and there were several!). Dont think twice - pick up the phone and call SJ Hauck today!

    After Hurricane Sandy we were fortunate to have used SJ Hauck as our home lifter and new foundation contractor. Not sure how to proceed they guided us thru a very difficult time. Unfortunate for us we had to hire our own general contractor for the other work. SJ Hauck now offers a full service job which would have been great back then. They completed our job on time and in a professional manner.

    I did not use this company but was a neighboring property of a home removal and transport in Ocean City. I was only present on the day of removal so I can only speak to what I witnessed on that day, but I was very impressed with Mark, the project foreman, with his efficiency and coordination of his team of workers throughout that day. He was professional and respected each member, clearly assigning job responsibilities and expectations to make the project run smoothly. The team members were friendly, polite, and worked hard from start to finish with care taken to protect my property. Mark assured me that if anything was damaged, it would be their responsibility to correct/fix it. No damage was done! Mark and his team are to be commended for a job well done!

    Our house in Absecon was lifted in December of 2017 by SJ HAUCK with the remaining work after being completed over the following several months. Our home looks beautiful and we love our enhanced view along with the reassurance of protection from the creek behind our home. The new siding and decks also have added much to our home.We particularly want to thank Harold Haug who became our general contractor on the job. (Prior to Hauck assigning him, we did have some issues with a previous individual who is no longer with the company.). Harold coordinated contractors for the various aspects of the job over several months. He was consistent with his communication and responses to us, made sure the jobs were done well and was quick to solve any issues that came up. Since our home was built in the 60s there were unavoidable and unanticipated construction issues that needed to be appropriately addressed. Harolds advice, referrals to good professionals and follow through with their work was always top notch! He was the BEST individual from Hauck to work with us. (Stephanie and Dawn were also great with assisting us with paper work needed for our grant. They were both very responsive and efficient.) Harold made our life less stressful and was always pleasant and attentive. I am happy to hear he is still with Hauck as they couldnt have a better person to represent their company!     SJ Hauck elevated our home and the final result is fine. However, I thought that we had to incur a lot of extra expenses because they were not careful with the heavy equipment or trying to preserve existing gas lines, resulting in us having to replace sidewalk, driveway and gas lines. They also left literally tons of debris that I had to wait months for them to clean up. Lastly, our final survey was part of our contract and they refused to provide that necessary document, costing us an additional $850.

    Beautiful work! My 80+ year old home truly looks like a new home! I wasn’t on site during the project but my neighbors said the workers were respectful, professional, and courteous. All debris was removed! Initially the project seemed stalled but once Harold Haug came on the scene, the project really got rolling and he made sure it got done quickly and correctly.Raising your home is a huge undertaking but SJ Hauck really made it tolerable and the end product is beautiful!

    Everyone at SJ Hauck was great to work with, these guys made the RREM Grant process a whole lot easier to get through. All the work the girls in the office did and the guys out on the jobsite did was spot-on. I don’t have a single complaint. The house really turned out awesome, I still think I’m at the wrong place every time I pull into the driveway! It looks that great! All their help was greatly appreciated, it was a long road from Superstorm Sandy to a finished house and these guys made it a whole lot smoother.

    I am writing this review on Thanksgiving day as I have so much to be thankful for and I would like to share my experience when you are looking at reviews to hire a company. i am a single female who decided to put a modular home up with absolutely NO construction experience. i decided after extensive research to go with S.J. Hauck to help me make my dream house come to life. My salesmen MICHAEL DAYER with all the years of experience helped me design my home and was able to stay calm and steady through all my emotional upsets and I am so grateful for him! My General Contractor was HAROLD HAUG and I cant say enough about the professional manner he displayed when dealing with all the obstacles that came about in a construction environment. He guided me, educated me and was very patient in every step. I am also grateful and lucky to have him as my contractor. I just wanted to say Thank You from the bottom of my heart!!!! I am living in my home and loving everything about it.

    I had hired SJ Hauck for a major project in Ocean City, NJ. The project entailed lifting and moving my former ranch home from OC to a site on the mainland. I had worked with Mike Dayer designing and ordering a Modular home. This is an overwhelming task from picking up a pencil and graph paper to design a completely new home. Mike was a valued asset as we completed the first floor. We had Mike and SJ Hauck build our second floor. Again we had to design the entire floor. Worked closely with Hauck’s general construction manager, Harold Haug. Harold and Mike were available every step of the way as we designed and saw the second floor become a reality... and there were a TON of steps. Through the entire process, Harold was very responsive and available to check on the myriad of questions, issues and problem solving. Our project was a long and detailed process, with issues and details needed to be addressed by the Hauck team. Harold and his team at Hauck ( Mike Dayer and Tom Sullivan) made a very complicated procedure bearable... but That’s the construction business. I’ve made some suggestions to the team on how to make the process go more smoothly , and they agreed. I would recommend SJ Hauck as a partner in a very detailed ( but exciting ) process.

    SJ Hauck is excellent! Their work is top notch. We received a FEMA grant to lift our 3 unit condo in Ventnor and they expertly managed every step. Rob K worked with us to explain the scope of work and gave us an accurate estimate of the work, Harold, the VP of Construction, managed all phases of the job; demolition of our foundation, the lift, the construction of the foundation and the decks and related. We started in mid-April and we were back in our place at the end of September.They have an app that you can use to track the progress of the job and they are very easy to communicate with and will respond to your questions.Their crews are awesome, especially Eric, Axel, and Daniel. And Tom S. in the office is very easy to work with. They handle everything, permits, paperwork, etc.Our neighbors watched the construction every day and compliment us on how great the place looks now.

However, its the professionalism & the execution of the contract commitments is what ultimately counts. And who runs the job - In our case was a young well-experienced professional named Craig Hantson - PM at SJHauck. Set expectations out of the gate, thorough on follow-up, proactively worked with my architect & engineer, made solid experience recommendations and most importantly was over communicative during the process. He spent over an hour on the phone with me going into detail on the root of my issue and possible ways to fix it, and even went over to the property the day after we spoke to inspect it in person. He is incredibly knowledgeable and clearly at the top of his field. I would so highly recommend him to anyone looking for structural repairs or flood damage remediation.

    I used SJ Hauck for my house lift in Ocean City, NJ. Craig Hanston made what is a very daunting task, very manageable. Very pleased with their performance. Communicating regularly and often providing several options for the unforeseen problems that inevitably occur when you undertake a project of this size. Helping me navigate the city, project and budget all while keeping the project moving forward. I don’t think I could of pulled off the lift/project without him or them.

    We had our house lifted and an addition put on of 2 bedrooms and a bath. We worked with Rob who was very responsive, easy to work with, and answered all of our questions. He was very professional and always available to us. Our project manager was Harold who was very good at getting things done, supportive of all of our wishes, made things happen or corrected any issues.
