    Bert Norman Plumbing was the most outstanding, professional, knowledgeable and polite company we have seen in quite a while. From a 6:15am panic call to the office manager on the day before Christmas Eve to the technician late in the evening installing a new hot water tank that they had to travel back and forth that day to get. Everyone that I spoke to took time, care, and efficiency to the highest level. I will never forget how they came to our rescue right before a holiday. I would go beyond recommending them and tell you that you would be lucky to have their team at your side.

    Weve used Bert Normans Plumbing a couple of times and most recently used them to install 3 new sinks/faucets and a washlet we had purchased as part of a renovation. Mitch was AMAZING! He was the ultimate professional and very meticulously ensured the vessel sinks were exactly positioned where we wanted them. As part of the service Mitch also replaced all the shut off valves (so much easier to use now) and all the pipes/hoses. And on the toilets even replaced the little ring against the wall (that rusts over time) with nice new white ones (the little details matter). And when it was all done, as part of the clean up Mitch even took all the empty sink/faucet boxes so I literally had to do nothing but enjoy the finished product. We will continue to use Bert Norman - great office staff and communication, and enjoy the very clear up front pricing approach.

    Bert Normans Plumbing is the best. They had installed a water filter that served the entire house (and barn) over 2 years ago. I have called them multiple times to ask questions and the always got back to me within a few hours and were able to walk me through the issues. Today I had question and it was resolved in minutes. You dont see that kind of customer service very much anymore. Thanks for all your help.

    We have used Bert Normans Plumbing for years now and they have done some major jobs for us. The technician was a perfectionist who I could tell always wanted his work to be done well, and was proud of it. The work was done timely and the cost was reasonable. These folks are our go-to whenever we need plumbing services.10/26/23 - Edit to add - We just had Bert Normans Plumbing come and do a master bathroom shower/bath replacement with a shower/seat combo. These are usually a 2-day affair for the quality work they do. However, today was a good day and they were able to place multiple teams on the job to knock it out in 1 day! And what a great unit they installed. It was of high quality and very sturdy with exactly what we needed for seating, grab bars, and fixtures. To be fair and full disclosure, they do not do drywall work, so there will be a small amount of drywall finishing to be done around the edge of the unit, but it is not extensive and its easy to do or get done. These folks are much more reasonable on their rates and pricing for installed products (which are of excellent quality) than some of those who might have a long commercial and presentation materials costs. They simply ask you what you need and want, and then deliver it with quality workmanship. These are locally established folks and have been for years. I highly recommend them.

    First it is rare to receive a schedule window of only two hours whereas most service companies give you 6 hours or more. The technician arrived at the time scheduled and was very polite and represented his company with professionalism. The timely repairs and along with the quality in which it was performed reflected his professionalism. He left the area clean and wore shoe covers as soon as he entered our home which we appreciated given we had just installed new flooring. Will definitely be using Bert Norman for future service.

    Bert Normans is always so wonderful to work with! We have been using them for years for two homes and never hesitate to give them a call.     Weve had to call plumbers a couple of times in the last few months which is never a pleasant task since it normally means spending a lot of money. However, Bert Normans always tries to send somebody during working hours even if the receptionist lets you know that the day of it may not be possible. The after hours fee is fair. When our septic pump broke the plumber came out after hours and he really worked to try to find a replacement so that he didnt just have to put in a temporary pump. We were so grateful that he was able to fix it that same night. The next time we had to call was because our water pump to the house had stopped working. That day, the plumber actually made it during working hours and was able to let us know honestly that it was either the switch or the pump itself. He replaced the switch, and it worked. Its a good company. Weve had multiple plumbers from this organization, and theyve all been very professional, transparent, and helpful.

    Bertā€™s plumbing is fabulous!! I called three plumbers to fix a leak in our main water line coming into the house - Bertā€™s was the only one who came the same day. They fixed the whole problem in an hour and improved our system in general. Another plumber said it would take four hours and theyā€™d have to move our hot water heater - Bertā€™s didnā€™t need to. Thank goodness for Mitch and Rob and everybody at Bertā€™s!

    We spent a difficult weekend with no running water as a result of a cracked hot water pipe in the wall of our shower. We had first called two more local plumbing firms and never received a call-back from their after-hours voice mail systems. Desperate and dirty, we called Bert Normans Plumbing, after high praise for them from the cashier at the local grocery store where we had rushed to purchase gallons and gallons of bottled water! Shannon and KC were the best; responsive, sympathetic, superbly organized and moved quickly to help us. Austin arrived on time, quickly assessed the problem and gave us a reasonable and fair repair quote on the spot. The repair was not an easy one, the pipe break was in a very confined wall space and well-away from the shower valve access hole. Professional that he is, Austin was able to make the challenging in-wall repair with minimal impact to our tiled shower wall! He was courteous, kind, prepared and efficient - and - treated our house with great care - wearing sanitary booties and a mask at all times. We had our water back inside of two hours! Wow! He also cleaned up well after the job, a super ambassador for this business! What a pleasure it is - and how reassuring -- to find that a business like this can still thrive in these often frustrating times! Though this was our first collaboration with Bert Normans Plumbing, the best take-away in the wake of our waterless weekend crisis is that we now have a new, terrific plumbing firm on which we believe we can totally depend!! We rate them 12 stars out of 10 - simply the best!

    We called with an emergency request and their technician, Billy, showed up the same day within a few hours. I told him through the door to wait until I put our over zealous 55 lb aussie pup in his kennel. He said you dont have to do that unless you want to; hell be fine. He was so right, he tolerated/and knew how to calm his excitement. Then he proceeded to assess, repair and quickly complete the job. As long as they stay affordable, well call them.     This is my second time calling on Bert Normanā€™s plumbing. In both cases I got good products and excellent service. Theresa at the front desk is well beyond helpful. Her contact from start to finish was helpful, professional and especially careful to assure that service providers are polite and practicing good infection control practices. Masks, shoe covers, etc. this is especially important right now as we face this continuing pandemic. Dylan installed a water softened I bought from the company about a year ago and it has functioned flawlessly and without adjustment since then. This time, Zach came to replace a leaking faucet, with a unit purchased from Bert Normanā€™s inventory. It was a confined space job, but he got it done and cleaned up the work area well when he finished. There was a problem a few days later from a slow drip under the sink. When I called about it Theresa scheduled a return early the next day and the problem was fixed. Highly recommended on the basis of products, service and customer satisfaction. Not the cheapest possible way to go, but you get what you pay for.

    I first used this company when my backflow prevented decided to go rogue before dawn, spraying gallons of water over the lawn and street before I opened my eyes. This company was the only one who responded to my emergency! When I needed some maintenance on faucets and toilet fill valves, they were the company I called. Shannon, the office manager, called to let me know that Jason, the technician, was on his way on the day of my appointment. Jason reviewed the work to be done, gave me the pricing, and went to work. He is efficient and knowledgeable. Workspace was neat and clean. I needed a part that was not on his truck and he called it in before he left. By the end of the day, I had heard from Laura and the appointment was set to finish up with the part now delivered to their office.It is an absolute pleasure to deal with all of the people at this company. I highly recommend them! You will not be disappointed.

    One Wednesday I realized I didnt have hot water. In my garage I found my water heater smoking. Turned off the breaker and started calling plumbers. A couple couldnt show for a week and then I remembered I had used Bert Norman in the past so I tried calling them.1) They originally gave me an appointment for the next day, but then they called back and had a technician that had finished early and asked could they come today. About 2.5 hours after I found the issue they showed up.2) They looked at my heater and told me it needed replacement. I had already made that accessment as well. I wanted a larger heater than they had in stock so they had to order and told me it would be one to two days.3) The next day they called and stated it was in and they would like to come to install. Note: < one day from when issue was discovered.4) Day one technician was professional and worked efficiently getting to the issue. He also gave me options and prices for the replacement. The entire time I was confident I would have a new heater quickly.5) Day two the same technician returned with an apprentice to assist. He allowed the apprentice to perform the work while providing good oversight and feedback. They still worked efficiently with the on the job training being conducted. This is exactly how technical training should be conducted to ensure the next generation is able to take over in the future.I would like to mention I always felt getting me and my family hot water was a priority with this company as a whole. I had several friends coming for the weekend and was trying to figure out what to do if we did not have hot water.At approximately 4:30 on Thursday I had hot water.This company is now my first call for any plumbing needs.Thanks for all your hard work.

    I had been without hot water in most of my house since shortly after moving in to my house and Florida. I waited one week for a call back from one plumber, and another week from another. I was given Norman Plumbing from my next door neighbor AND landscaping company owner. I checked them out online, they called me almost immediately and were here in no more than 2 hours. (Friday). I was contacted Monday to follow up and assured I would receive a service recommendation later today (Monday). So far, better than good.

    Bert Normans Plumbing Inc did a wonderful job repairing our kitchen sink. Dylan, came out within an hour of us calling & was very knowledgeable & friendly.     Jason, from Bert Normans replumbed our well pump into a brand new shed we had installed on our property. Additionally, Jason replaced and replumbed the water softener into the new shed as well.     I highly recommend this business!I had a 52 gal water heater that had to be replaced on Saturday evening. I called the office number which was answered immediately and explained the problem. Was told she would contact the technician and call me back. Ten minutes later the call was returned and I was given an estimate of 1 hour for the technician to arrive. He came on time then explained the cost and completed the installation. The technician was superb.     I am delighted to share the amazing experience I had today with locally owned Bert Normans Plumbing. I had an urgent situation that needed to be addressed quickly and as economically as possible. I already knew what needed to be done and had an idea of what a fair price would be. Shannon understood my sense of urgency, made an appointment for the next day but said, if at all possible, she would see if we could be squeezed in. A few hours later Jason was at the door! I was at work so he evaluated the situation, called me with a quote AND texted pictures to give me a visual on what he was describing.     After getting a new counter top with an undermounted sink, none of the plumbing aligned and was in very close tolerance of the pipe exiting the wall. I called my GC Schofield Home Improvement and he recommended I call Bert Norman Plumbing. I called on a Friday night and they were at my house by 11:00 AM the next morning. Theresa was very courteous and professional when gathering my info and explaining the additional charge for a weekend call. We had no problem paying the additional fee. That was money well spent. Jason the technician arrived as scheduled. He quickly made an assessment and had to go back out to obtain some specialty fittings. He got everything fixed up and also answered some other questions I had about the the plumbing in the house and the operation of the water softener. With a corroded sink faucet that could not be removed and water connections that would not attach to a new under sink RO unit, Sarah worked some scheduling magic to send Mitch to our home. In less than two hours, Mitch was able to cut free the old faucet, install a new faucet, and put in new connections for the RO unit. Sarah was helpful, friendly, and stayed in constant communication.     Weve used them a couple of times, most recently earlier this week when a pipe in our well house sprung a leak. Of course, as luck would have it, it was right after business hours, but as usual someone got back to us very quickly after we called. The nice person on the phone explained the after hours cost clearly, and when the tech came he was so nice and got the job done quickly (in the dark and cold). Definitely our go to company!

He was also straightforward in his assessment of the repair needed and gave me a worst case scenario quote so I knew what Id be paying if everything that could be wrong was, in fact, wrong. Unfortunately, my broken pipe and the repair needed did fall under the worst case scenario and I trusted Joel when he told me that. In other words, I did not feel at all that he conveniently concluded it was the worst case scenario for his and his business benefit. In any event, he repaired the pipe quickly and completely and also repaired a small hole in the bath tub basin.I would absolutely use Bert Normans again and would recommend them to any one else in need of plumbing services or repair.

    A poor/expensive plumber experience with no repair just a suggestion a need to return after I purchase replacements, meant simple leaking faucets repairs resulted in skepticism and uneasiness for this senior with an ambulatory disability.Friends suggested Bert Normanā€™s Plumbing; therefore, an appointment was booked. Receptionists told me up front a service fee of $49 was mandatory on any call. The technician arrived promptly entering with shoe coverings to assess the ā€œleakingā€ sinks (kitchen & bath) dilemma. I had been told both needed new fixtures (another call, another $115 service fee from previous Plumber). Burt Normanā€™s technician evaluation was one sink only needed filter cleaning and the other needed handle repairs and cleaning out! Informed him I could not clear under sink area, and he said ā€œno problemā€. He cleared and even cleaned area and afterwards replaced all! Always polite and courteous with competent manners even explaining when he had to leave briefly to secure parts on anotherā€™s truck there was no extra expense.Jason from Burt Normanā€™s Plumbing provided such a positive repair encounter. It has been a long time since I have experienced such informative, respectable, and ethical professionalism. I would hope the rest of the Normanā€™s team has this old fashioned knowledge and honor.And, now considering them for another job.Service Fee- $49.00Repairs/parts - $199.00

    I am very late submitting this review as I was serviced back in September but it was a great experience given the situation. I had water leaking all in my closet and placed a call to Bert Norman. Mitch, my technician came out, he was wonderful and was thorough but as he looked and felt the temperature of the water he was able to figure out it wasnā€™t actually a plumbing issue but rather my air conditioning. I am so grateful because I wouldnā€™t expect a business to actually look into my issue and find out it wasnā€™t something they could help with rather than just say yeah need a new water heater and charge who knows how much. He took the time to figure it out. Hopefully I wonā€™t have any plumbing issues but in the future if I do, I will gladly call them.

    Courteous team! Reasonable price.We had a drainage issue and the plumber found out the main sewage line under the road was clogged up with garbage and needed to be pumped out by the city. I was like, great, I have to call the city and get blown off, ugh. But, the Bert Norman office actually called the city for me. The plumber stayed to make sure he could talk directly to the city crew when they showed up since I dont speak plumbing nor do I know the codes. The City pumped the garbage out of the sewage line.     They did a great job fixing the plumbing on my trailer. Its so backed up and terrible just deplorable living conditions. But by the time I walked back here after (finally) receiving the phone call that Jason would be there to fix it he was already outside here doing work! He waited and didnt leave. Thank goodness, because St.Johns property had been avoiding my place and fixing it because they knew the well water sewer system was so backed up here. Kind respectful considerate of my experience here and I would highly recommend Brian and Jason from Bert Normans Plumbing and the entire company to fix anything that is wrong with your place. Great customer service skills with everyone who I dealt with. I would NOT recommend renting from St.Johns properties out of any of their places but Im located in Nassau County Florida on Amelia Island.     I was driving home one day and saw this van with a little guy on it for Bert Norman Plumbing. We were needing a plumber for over a month but never got around to it. When I saw the cute little guy it hit me to give them a call. I did and they were fast to set up an appointment. I checked out the Facebook group of our community in Fernandina Beach and saw where Bert Normans was mentioned several times. I called in the morning and we had two service techs, Jason and Zach, at our home before noon. We had a leak someplace that was causing a bedroom to flood. Wearing masks and covers on their shoes they inspected potential problem areas and discovered the air conditioner drain was clogged. They suctioned out the drain and we are confident they solved out problem. Would we use them again? Absolutely!

    What a great company. I had a well pump replaced just over a year ago. Had a minor issue which they quickly fixed. The same problem happened today. They said since it was the same problem they would most likely take care of it. It was the same problem and they did take care of it. Mechanical parts and people make errors now and then.     Called on a Wednesday and they had an opening between 9 and 11 that Friday. At 9:05 my doorbell rang and Chris was very polite when I answered the door. He quickly determined that our issue was not a plumbing issue but an hvac issue but still checked behind our washer which is where we thought the original issue was just to be sure. Afterwards he measured from where our hvac unit was to where the leak was and also advised us to have someone take care of the black mold that has been caused by this issue. I hope to never have a plumbing issue but I know if I do I will be calling these guys due to the fact that they were on time, efficient, polite and didnā€™t try to give me a run around.

    I had a water line that partially broke 9/27/2020. We got by until the 28th. I got on a site called Nextdoor Neighbor, many people recommended Bert Norman, so I called them and requested a plumber to come out and fix a broken water line, the lady taking the call asked me if it was an emergency, I told her no, she scheduled a plumber to come out and do the repair on the 29th at 4:00. After two days of limited water use and company coming in from out of town I was con concerned about my problem. At 4:00 a truck with 1 man rolled in, a young man got out with a pen and clip board, I thought ,well here is where I get burnt. He asked me a few questions, wrote down some notes and ask me where the point of access was. I showed him. He got his flashlight and crawled in under my wet and nasty home, I thought, well not getting this fixed today. He proceeded to his service truck, procured the tools he needed, got the supplies out of the truck crawled back under the house and made the necessary repair in 30 minutes, we tested the system, went overt the service ,I paid him and he went on his way. I thought this was pretty rare, most companies would have sent 2 people, not one and usually they are slow on most jobs. I thought how impressive it was for someone to operate a company that is that efficient and professional and charged me a very reasonable rate. I was not paid or pressured to write this review, it was a pleasure to deal with a company with some great integrity. I highly recommend them. Kyle Doran.

    First Mitch with Bert Normans Plumbing was here to install a new food disposal for a neighbor and did an excellent job. Here at Timbercreek our outside water spigots have all gone bad around the same time, leaving us frustrated and in need. Mitch repaired mine and was coming back Friday for another neighbor of mine, who needed two replaced, but he was called away on emergency Friday and Steve came in his stead.     I am a manager for a small business and we had a pipe burst in the mens room. I called our usual plumber who in essence said they were slammed and couldnt help me. Meanwhile, water was spewing out of the wall and a flood ensued in our hall. Unable to repair. Tech replaced the unit and finished at 11:30 am. Within 3 hours from my call, problem fixed. Yes a new unit was expensive but it had to be replaced.
