    I worked with AF Smith on a 50A->200A service replacement in a 1960s house in the West Willow neighborhood. The team was responsive, professional, and their union (IBEW) training made me feel confident that their electricians were skilled and safety-minded!I designed the electrical system and completed some portions prior to their arrival and AF Smith was happy to work with me on a time and materials basis. Their electricians took the time to teach and show me how items I was unfamiliar with should be handled (Anthony is a great guy who was willing to teach). I cant recommend them enough!

    Update: Javier was awesome, came through on a weekend to help resolve a quick issue that was under warranty. All the more reason to use their services in the future!Old: Randy and Doug were amazing, treated me like family and gave me a great deal. Very punctual and polite.     Doug was super responsive and accommodating of my schedule during the power outages a few weeks ago when he came out to give me an estimate, yet sent me my estimate in a timely manner and got me on their schedule for the following week. Javier did a phenomenal and quick job with installing my EV charging port. He even took the time to mount the holder, which he did not have to do. 5-star service all around and all for a very reasonable price, unlike other local electricians in the area who were overcharging or hiding behind non-existent red tape. They got the job done fast and did it well. I won’t hesitate to go with these electricians for my future needs!

    We recently utilized A.F. Smith Electric to have 2 wall sconce lights installed and a ceiling fan installed on a high ceiling over a stairway. I called around several places, and I was pleased with how helpful and professional they were even in setting up the estimate. They sent a professional out to look at the space, and he followed up with an estimate the next business day. We were able to make a few adjustments to better suit our needs, and quickly scheduled the work. The electricians who came out arrived on time and got it done quickly with minimal mess. They were professional and respectful of our home, and I was able to work from home during most of the work they were doing. The work was completed about 2 weeks after Id initially reached out for an estimate, which is about 4 weeks sooner than a few other local professionals could even get me an estimate! Id definitely recommend them.

    What a great experience! I hired these fellas to handle our electrical panel upgrade and they did not disappoint. The entire process, from my initial conversation and estimate with Doug, through the completion of the project the following week with Randy and another gentlemen, whose name I cannot remember but was equally as knowledgeable and professional, this was very nice. The installation was clean and tidy, and most important of all, correct. I also had a new line ran for a sump upgrade at this same time. I was told that our appointment could take a bit more than a day, but they finished us up in a single day instead. Ladies and gentlemen, if youre looking for hard working, high quality professionals who arent looking to break the bank, then give these guys a call; youll be very glad you did.     We had a visit from Jimmy who fixed everything we needed, and then some. Super nice guy who knew his stuff and was great to work with. We had some dimmers put in, a can light turned into a ceiling mount, and some other cans removed and a new location made for a chandelier. 10/10 would definately recommend!

    This has to be the best unexpected expense experience I have ever had. Their customer service was really something worth bragging about. Their assessment came out and gave me multiple options for what I could do to install a new hot tub. They worked diligently to get the job done in the small window I admittedly gave them as I wanted the hot tub running asap. They took care of me during any stage of the process where I any confusion may arise. Their electrician Javier did a remarkable job running power through a dropped ceiling in the basement with no damage to my tiles which is an impressive feat in itself. He went above and beyond in getting a Wellis tub installed which as it turns out is a little different than most conventional tubs. He continued to go above and beyond in putting the panels back on correctly which the company sent me in a poorly assembled state. These guys are trustworthy as anything and everything they could help you understand. They provide the highest quality work with a very fair price. 10/10 would recommend

    Called to get an outdoor outlet and 2 bathroom outlets fixed, which were no longer working after a power washer was used with the outdoor outlet.I was offered a same-day visit, but ended up taking one a couple days later. Javier arrived on time and within 30-40 minutes was all finished up. He was knowledgeable, he explained things in a way someone who had no experience (me) could understand, and was kind and quick. Highly recommended!

    We are looking into replacing a service panel and ensuring our electrical system will be up to snuff. Although Im only in the process of getting quotes, Justin with AF Smith was very quick to respond. He was sure to ask all the important questions and was clear about what they had to offer. He got a quote back to me only a few hours after calling. The pricing he gave over the phone and in the quote seemed competitive.It is worth your time to give them a call and see what they can do for you.     Justin and his team were very responsive and professional. I just moved into a house that needed a few items done (add a ceiling light outlet, a/c outlet and install a ceiling fan) and Im glad I went with them. Their project management is on point: they have a great sense of what their schedule is and how long things should take, allowing for their quotes to be accurate and fair.     I cant recommend A.F. Smith Electric enough. I had an urgent situation that needed an electrician, but during the Stay At Home order wasnt sure Id find anyone willing to come out. I left a voicemail on Sunday evening, not expecting a return call until Monday. Justin called me back within an hour and got me on the schedule right away. Both Justin and Robert were prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and all around good guys. Ive found my new go-to electricians!

    Our family recently purchased our home and the Electric Panel was horrifically outdated. In addition, several of our outlets we not functioning. I performed the initially troubleshooting myself and was unable to address the problem. We decided to call A.F. Smith Electric Inc. - Our techs Rob and Paul were extremely professional and updated our meter as well as our Panel from a 100amp to a more efficient 200amp rated SE (Service Entrance) Cable. They also added copper ground rods near the meter which ensures that the electricity always has a proper path to ground which ultimately prevents electrocution. My wife and I are extremely pleased with the service received and look forward to working with A.F. Smith Inc in the future.

    They replaced all of the knob and tube wiring in our house (more or less all of our wiring). They were great - Jim led the work, and he was awesome (friendly, knowledgable, patient in explaining things to us), and got things done exactly how he said he would and when he said he would.
