    G&O did an absolutely great job replacing the roof on my home. They wee willing to work with me to go the extra mail to ensure the job was done right. I had quotes from other contractors and it was clear G&O knew what REALLY needed to be done AND HOW LONG IT WOULD TAKE. The crew was excellent, the foreman kept me posted every day and answered all my questions whenever I asked. They are prompt, courteous, and excellent at their profession. The crew was happy to answer any of my questions and meticulously cleaned the site when they left for the day. I highly recommend them!

    We hired G&O to replace a steep, complex, and very high roof on our old 3-story Victorian home. Unlike 2 other roofers we received estimates from, they informed us that we could make an insurance claim for shingle blow-off, which we didnt realize was covered. They also provided a private adjuster who successfully negotiated with the insurance company to pay the cost of a better quality roof than they had originally agreed to. It then took a while to get town permits and begin the job, but we were extremely impressed by the workmen and their quality of work. They were true craftsmen and a pleasure to have working for us. They cleaned up every day, did not use scaffolding, lifts, or dumpsters, and left no debris on site. The finished roof looks fabulous. We have had numerous experiences with roofers in the past, but G&O was in a class of its own, far above all others. They are expensive, but well worth the price - especially with the help of insurance coverage.

    We had our roof done by someone else several years ago. It was a terrible job, the shingles deteriorated early and we couldnt claim against the warranty because it was installed incorrectly.G&O helped us understand what was done wrong, gave us a good price, and did an outstanding job on the roof. Beautiful shingles, copper valleys, it looks gorgeous. The crew was fast, polite and cleaned up every night. I wish I had more roofs for them to do!

    G & O Construction replaced the asphalt shingle roof on my house. Bob Shay, the manager I interacted with came to my house evaluated it holistically. Suggested options and needed improvements to make the new roof a long lasting one. I knew that most of the improvements needed to be done, so Bob did not appear to suggest unneeded things. What was cosmetic only he said hed throw in for free, just so that he can be happy with the job. Bob is not the guy to hire to do a good enough job. He takes pride in his work and he will either do it right or not at all. The price was reasonable and there were no surprises (the price I paid was the price he quoted). The weather was challenging, but I was flexible on the start date of the project. Nevertheless, once the project was started it was completed within 3 days as promised. It looks great as promised. As a bonus, at the end of each day my yard looked as if no work was in progress, all trash picked up. G &O protected my flower beds around the house, no damage. The crew was very professional and nice to work with.

    We highly recommend G&O! They replaced our roof in Cambridge, MA, on a home over 100 years old which had over the years multiple layers installed over prior layers (total 4 layers of asphalt shingles and 5 layers where the rubber roof is over back flat part of house). The roof had been neglected over the past number of years with leakage and extensive wood rot resulting (in addition to birds and squirrels nesting). We also had a chimney that was crumbling.We were fortunate to find G&O - they were professional, took time to explain, their pricing was competitive - and their quality of work far surpasses others - true masters. They immediately came during the winter to tarp over an active leak and tighten other defects until the roof could be redone in favorable weather (no one else did this - other quotes we had all came and said they would do the work in the spring ). Our job entailed rebuild of chimney, taking off all the old layers, repair extensive rot, rebuild a dormer, install 2 windows, install the asphalt shingles and the rubber roof. Being in the city, the houses are close and G&O received high praises from our neighbors - that G&O were courteous and respectful - notably G&O built staging to protect our neighbors fence, tree, flowers. After the work was done - the clean-up was impeccable - you would never had known they were there (except of course that the house looks amazing). I also need to say that we have never had better communication with any other contractor - Bob, Fred and Nick would call/text/email with updates and send pictures. When the job was completed - we actually missed the guys - for real, G&O is beyond 5 stars - we had a great experience and we will call them to do all future work for us.

    G & O did my garage last year and I was very happy. I had them do my main roof and their workmanship is outstanding. From installing the proper size drip edge to a full length ridge vent they do not cut corners and when done they left my property spotless. I also have a portion of flat roof which requires rubber roofing and that also came out great. With all this I expected they would be the highest price but I found them to be extremely competitive compared to other quotes I got.

    Best company I’ve ever dealt with! They did our roof last year and it was a WONDERFUL experience. Reasonable price, fabulous workmanship, competent workers, fully insured. The best part was Bob, who spent almost an hour teaching me about roofing so that I could make an informed choice. Explained all about materials and installation techniques, showed me pictures and examples, really took the time to help me understand. We’re using them again this year to rebuild our deck and I have no doubt it will be another lovely, stress-free experience. I almost didn’t want to review them because if everyone figures out how great they are, they’ll be so busy that we’ll have trouble getting on their schedule! But such quality workmanship and business ethics have to be acknowledged. Thank you so much G & O!!!

    G & O added a farmers porch to my existing cape house. Their work was of outstanding quality. Joel was the main guy on the job and he was fabulous. He came up with creative ways to work around trouble areas. He takes pride in his work and ideas. The crew was professional, clean & well organized.     Great work. Had to install on the hottest day this summer. No complaints from crew. Crew were efficient quick and great job! Had a hard time finding roofer got the run around “we’ll be there tomorrow to give you a quote many promise never showed” G & O showed up in one day fair quote did job when I requested. So obviously would highly recommendLove my new roof!

    I highly recommend G and O construction. I am a REALTOR and I deal with a lot of contractors and these guys are PROFESSIONALS ! We hired them to put on a new roof and do some repair work.     This company has many 5 star reviews for a reason. Nick and Fred are very accommodating and my experience with them has exceeded my expectation. They put a new roof on my house and replaced cedar siding that was worn and cracked. They are full service so when I needed someone to replace the cedar that was cracked they sent a carpenter....who was very efficient and did a great job. They are full service so when I also needed a painter to paint the new shingles I didnt have to search reviews for someone to call. Very. happy and so will you be with this company!

    G&O were prompt, responsive and finished the job professionally and in a timely way. From laborer to owner, every person was pleasant and very interested in making sure I was happy with the work. Many homeowners have to chase down contractors to finish the job, but not so with this company. They have easily been the easiest to work with contractor I have hired.

    Nick and Pete (owners) with G & O Const. are nothing less than professional. I hired G&O for a new roof and to side the home as well. Working with Nick from start to finish really made my life that much easier. Nick was on site multiple times a day to make sure everything was going smooth. The workers did an outstanding job with the roof. In and out within 2 days. I was nervous about the loose scraps and nails being around the yard (dog) and driveway (car tires). The clean up job after every work day was SPOT LESS. Picking out the siding was also easy with Nick and Pete being just a phone call away for ANY question I may have had. G&0 Const. is as skillful and efficient as one would want working on their home!! Call them today and you won’t be disappointed!

    I’m at a loss for words at trying to describe my experience with G&O. Nick came out to inspect my roof due to a leak we noticed from the interior attic. Clearly, we need a new roof. It’s at the end of its life. He pointed out everything wrong with my current roof and while it was leaking in a certain area, we still knew we needed a replacement. However, not a cost we can take on. Nick, without hesitation, offered to repair the leak, but also added a solar fan for the garage because it’s 1,000 degrees in there. By Nick agreeing to the repair, this gives us 2 more years (estimated) to obtain the funds for a complete repair. That level of integrity and the willingness to work with what we had is beyond what I could say, so thank you! Thank you for sending an amazing crew. Thank you for doing a small job when I’m sure many other wouldn’t. Thank you for the entire experience!

    I highly recommend GnO Construction after a horrible experience with a local contractor GnO came in and literally saved my whole house renovation from being a total loss that would have cost me thousands and I would have had to sell the property! I cant speak highly enough of Peter contractor for GnO! After such a nightmare with my first contractor Peter was amazing to work with. Peter is very knowledgeable, professional, and honest. I highly recommend giving GnO a call. These guys seriously turned a nightmare into a dream come true.

    G & O Construction put a new roof on our house. We happened to be home doing some chores both inside and outside while the crew was working on the roof. The first thing I noticed was how organized they were; it appeared the crew had been working together for a long time as they knew exactly what to do and went about their work efficiently and professionally.When either one of us went outside, one of the crew would be right there to move any of their equipment or supplies out of the way; which truly were not in our way but it was very considerate and thoughtful.The process prior to having the actual work done was swift, informative, and all communication with the company was efficiently conducted.The best part is that the roof looks great!

    The team at G&O was excellent to work with. We had extensive work, e.g. window replacements, new door, porch, siding, etc., completed on our home, which can be challenging at the best of times, let alone during a pandemic. The team was professional, friendly, courteous, and flexible. They accommodated the challenges brought on by a work/school from home environment and completed work based on our schedules. Being a bit of a neatnik, one my favorite things about the team was how well they cleaned up at the end of each day. It was hard to tell that there was major construction on-going. We knew exactly what we where getting and all costs were discussed up front. Ended job with full inspection and made sure we were completely happy with the final product.     These guys did my roof for my business. Not only were they professional, they were fast. I have a business it stays busy and they even did it at a time when I was closed so it wouldnt interrupt my business EVERYONE that I contacted were quoting me 2 weeks to repair.. Mine was done in a weekend and They came back the next weekend for some final trim pieces. They were actually the cheapest but I would a pay 20% more to have that kind of service dont tell them I said that.... The roof that I had on my building was old and I could not be happier with the performance and quality of the roof. The reason Im writing this review 6 months after they did the roof is because I was extremely impressed with the fact that the owners came out recently inspected the roof to make sure that everything was OK. Take my word ... I have had badd contractors and now I will never use anyone else but.

    So refreshing to have a contractor that follows through with what was promised. The quality of work is superior. I had a total gut of a bathroom down to the studs 3 years ago and a harddwood floor installed in my kitchen. We also had outside work done a month ago.     Outstanding customer service!! Everything was explained step by step!! The crew showed up on time and worked extremely hard. At the end of the day... you would never know they were even there! Every nail and piece of debris was picked up. (Very important when you have pets.)!!!G and O Construction took care of all the foot work such as permits and inspections. My new roof is spectacular !!!! Could not be happier! The price was affordable and they are Insured!!! It was so nice to call them with what I wanted and they got the job done!! 👍

    We needed a new roof on our home due it being extremely old. G&O did an amazing job with doing this project for us. Every day they were there early am until late at night working to make sure the roof was completely in a timely manner. All of the workers were nice, polite and extremely informative with any questions we had. By the time they were done, you couldnt even tell they were there with how well they cleaned up all around our house. Nick (owner) came to check in everyday to make sure everything was going the way it was supposed to and maintained constant communication with us the entire job. Compared to other companies we checked with, G&O was definitely the best priced. We will definitely be using them in the future for additional home construction projects!
