I hired the folks from Mr Handy and I have loved working with them.This is exactly how I wouldve wanted handypeople/carpenters to be.Everything from scheduling to quoting and payment was handled digitally. My millennial self works so much better this way. I cant be leaving work to take calls but I can reply to a text or email. I dont want to send checks, I want to pay online.The work to be done was replacing a door in a condo I own. The first crew arrived punctually and were super easy to work with. Unfortunately there was a minor misunderstanding and the first crew wasnt able to complete the work. No problem, because Mr Handy quickly rescheduled with a new crew.Kerwin did an excellent job. I mean EXCELLENT. He did work at such a high quality. Youd think hes doing it for his own home. Its hard to find craftspeople this and its awesome. They even vacuumed all the dust after the work was complete!Ill be in touch with Mr Handy again, no doubt.

Roughly every two years I collect a punch list of items I need fixed and repaired in my apartment. I call Mr Handy, they come at the time they said they would and quickly and professionally plow through my punch list. - I’ve used them to- replace lighting fixtures- fix shelving and wall units- replace worn plumbing fixtures- patch and paint a wall- fix broken moldingI recommend them highly and refer them to my friends and family.Update - Mr Handy came in to paint my windows and again did a great job.

I called up Mr. Handy NYC again, this time for a bit of a fixer-upper in my kitchen. You know, those little annoying things that just get to you after a while. Wiggy and the crew were on it like white on rice, fixing up the cupboards and sorting out the wonky drawers. And get this, they even spotted a few things I hadnt noticed and sorted them out too, without making a big fuss about it. Really, these guys are just a hop, skip, and a jump away from my place, so handy and always on the ball. Theyre my first call for anything house-related now, no doubt about it.

Excellent service and extremely responsive! The booking process was simple and they arrived on-time. They took the time to confirm exact placement of the wall-mounted shelf and marked eventing using a level and tape for our approval. They even went the extra mile to add caulking so that the installation looked flawless. They completed a few other tasks within their window of time that was extremely helpful, like hanging artwork. Highly recommend Mr. Handy. Excellent service from start to finish. This is a family-owned business and comes with the advantages of being high-quality and reliable. I had a number of small repairs (from a broken cabinet hinge to bathtub caulking) that needed to be done. They gave me a very reasonable quote for the entire job. They are very quick to respond - I was able to send them pictures so they could come to the appointment prepared with the right materials. They will even buy the pieces if you dont have them. I like that they didnt rush through the job and actually took the time to work out the best way to fix something. I will be using them again!

We hired Mr. Handy NYC to install two blinds into our apartment. The window frames were difficult to drill into and so we opted not to them ourselves. They were on-time, super professional, and they even took their shoes off without us asking. Then they went above and beyond and drilled in a small shelf for us with the leftover time we had paid for. They were super clean and professional. I will continue to hire them for future services! Extremely happy with this company. These guys are reliable and overall a good group. Reasonable prices and quality work. They pay attention to the details and it shows. Manhattan and NYC in general is a tough place to renovate and they always go the extra mile to make it work. They have done a few jobs for me in my apartment and continue to do so. They recently started some tile work in my kitchen and so far it looks flawless. I have grown to trust them now and I am happy I have stuck with them throughout this awful pandemic and they continue to deliver consistent quality work each and every time even during these difficult times.I just want to provide an update as now the team is near the completion of my renovation. I cannot thank everyone at Mr. Handy NYC enough for everything. The entire team has done such an excellent job throughout this entire project. The bathroom and kitchen look amazing. Modern and sleek all at an affordable price. They were even able to help me correct some imperfections in the ceiling fixtures, baseboards, floors, and walls. All of which required some substantial work to complete and even with the short timeline they were given it was still done well. They clean up after every job and are always polite and extremely easy to communicate with by phone or email. I discovered Mr. Handy NYC three years ago in Summer 2015, and ever since, they have become my #1 go-to for any handyman job -- installing shelves, assembling furniture, painting, patching, etc. The owner of the business, Wiggy, is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Plus, he is very responsive to phone, text, and email. Their service really goes the extra mile to make the customer very happy. I had initially contacted Mr. Handy NYC after having another handy person/agency not show up at our agreed upon time. I booked an appointment online and received confirmation for a day and time. I unfortunately got the day wrong and called them and they readily re-scheduled with me another day and time over the phone. On the day of.... I received a text that a ninja was on his way! Avel arrived on time and had all his tools in his backpack. Avel hung 2 Elfa top tracks and a very large mirror for me. He even brought some toggle bolts to use as I wasnt sure what I had would work. He also leveled everything with a laser.I really cant say enough nice things about Avel. He was courteous, and kind and knew what he was doing, and got it all done so quickly. He even bonded with my very curious kitty cat who was underfoot. Do not hesitate to contact Mr. Handy. They are affordable, efficient, sweet people who really go out of their way to get the job done.

Wiggy came through for us on a day when we needed Mr. Handys service the most. On one of the hottest days of the year thus far, our air conditioner broke. We have two cats and they started to overheat. I texted him in desperation to ask if someone could please please come out and install a new air conditioner that day. He made it happen, unbelievably, and assured us that someone would come out and install it that day even though they were extremely busy. Besides being so understanding, helpful, and thoughtful, he truly saved us. Avel came out a few hours later and did an outstanding job installing the new unit. We will always be using Mr. Handy for whatever projects we need done in our home. Thank you Wiggy, Avel, and Mr. Handy for being there when we needed you and for doing such a fantastic job.

I hired Mr Handy to caulk and seal a seam on kitchen countertop, caulk bath tile, and fix cabinet drawers closing unevenly. They did a nice job caulking and sealing. They got both kitchen drawers to close evenly, but within a day or so, one drawer still does not close right. Pricing was fair after some back-and-forth over rates. Would definitely consider using Mr Handy again.

I did a lot of research before I picked Mr Handy NYC, and based on the reviews, they seemed like the best bet and they were:) I hired them to paint the walls/trimmings/baseboards of my entire apartment, and to do some plumbing/wall patching. Their price was very very reasonable, especially considering some of the other quotes I was getting, and they did it pretty quickly. (3 days to paint Living Room, Kitchen, Bedroom, Office) Also, they are very textponsive and flexible, and have great communication skills. I will definitely call them from now on for any handyman work I need done in the apartment. Im glad I found them:)

At 39 weeks pregnant, I was desperately nesting and needed to have a bunch of items hung in our difficult apartment walls. I went on the website and they had no availability. I texted, explained the situation and they instantly committed to having someone out to our apartment the same day. Lester hung all the frames exactly how a picky pregnant woman wanted them and was the most lovely possible. I hung a lot of empty frames to house pictures of the baby. Lester even modified the frames and added wire so I could easily take the frames down after the baby arrived. I have used Mr. Handy multiple times and will continue to do so. They are incredibly pleasant, professional, always do excellent work and leave the apartment cleaner than it was before they did the work. They are overall amazing and I highly recommend.
