    We had a maintenance check done on our old furnace and found several things that needed to be fixed. We got a quote for a new one and decide to go with new. They were working in our area and were able to come the next day to install the new one. Very pleased with how friendly, efficient and professional everyone one was.     I would give them a 100 stars if I could!👍👏We have worked several years with many employees of Hardcastle. They have done entire plumbing and heater work at various times on our old place. . EACH AND EVERY time, they have been courteous, knowledgeable and tried to find ways to help us save money. They always show up when they tell you they’re going to be there! The office staff treats us like family, as do the workers that come to our house. We trust them so much that we gave them a key to our place.     Hardcastle’s customer service is top shelf. Very attentive & highly responsive. Everybody makes mistakes sometimes, but when they made a mistake, they assigned one employee as a liaison with our family. It took a few weeks to fix, but our health and happiness was clearly a high priority to them. They went above and beyond in making things right. Hardcastle clearly cares more about community than profit and will remain my go-to company for services.

    Tom Guerena came and fix my kitchen sink and garbage disposal. He explained everything he was doing and showed me the work as well. He also gave me tips on what to do if the garbage disposal stops working before calling a plumber! Great job great guy. Very pleasant! Highly recommend Tom.

    Tyler was on time for my 2:00 PM Furnace Annual Inspection and Operational checks. Tyler was extremely courteous, friendly and professional.     Hardcastle was very helpful in scheduling service including sending text and email reminders. They even sent pic and bio of service tech! Travis called before leaving office si I knew exactly when he would arrive. He was friendly and competent: he completed the service quickly but thoroughly and answered my questions. Overall a great experience. I highly recommend them for heating service.

    Highly recommend Hardcastle Heating & Air! Did a complete boiler replacement to a tankless system. We have infloor radiant heat and three bathrooms that need hot water. Kyle and Travis are the best! Superb workmanship and left the downstairs better then when the started. The regional inspector was awed with the professional installation!

    I have had a few initial interactions with the crew of Hardcastle and found them to always be there right away to help out. Then we just had a 20 YO boiler go out and with in a day the started the tedious job replacing our outdated unit with a state of the art 96% efficient Tankless heating system. They did everything they said they would do and more. All their techs are great guys, very knowledgeable and professional and the ladies in the office are fantastic. I am a builder of 41 years of very Large custom homes in Naples Florida and I would rate this company as one of the best I have been around. You will be in good hands with the people of Hardcastle and I can not recommend them enough.

    Hardcastle came in timely manner gave me estimate. And returned to do the work. Travis was very knowledgeable and did a thorough inspection of system and knew exactly what I needed. When he returned to do the work it was done in timely manner. I appreciated them sending a little information on Travis background very enjoyable to work with. Tyler came with Travis to do the work and seemed like a hard worker and also enjoyably person to be around. I would recommend Hardcastle to anyone as long as they do business like Travis.     Our 31 yr old boiler system went on the fritz. Got estimate from Hardcastle and one other to replace. We went with Hardcastle because the better unit was going to cost around $4,000 less than the other company whose unit had lower BTU! The office staff, manager, and techs handled everything very professionally. We also like the fact they are local.Freed up space in utility room also, as you can see by the photos.

    Plumbing is a somewhat recent addition to services provided by Hard Castle in Woodland Park, but they replaced our water heater last year so we called for repair of a toilet leak that we could not figure out. Tom came out right on time and very quickly figured out the problem. [We had installed the wrong type of shut off valve]. He gave us an estimate for the repair and completed the job in about 1/2 an hour including cleanup and triple checking the repair. He then gave us an estimate on converting our 4.5 tub into a walk in shower. It will be very reasonable for us to have that done next. Very happy with plumbing work done by Tom and Hard Castle.

    I just had my gas furnace and hot water heater replaced today by Hardcastle Heating & Air - The King of Comfort. Everything went absolutely perfect. First I had Tyler come by to assess what I may need and how much it would cost. They were able to schedule me within just a couple of days and they came by yesterday to rip out the old furnace and the old hot water heater in order to get a head start before today which was the scheduled install day, and was done before noon. I had the pleasure of meeting Joe Callegari, a third generation HVAC technician from Long Island, New York. He moved to great state of Colorado in search of cleaner air and open spaces. He enjoys hiking, art, target shooting and action sports. Very professional and very knowledgeable! He made what might have seemed impossible to which turned into a perfect install!Also assisting Joe was Reggie Gladney who is fromNashville, TN.These technicians make an excellent team, and took extreme care in cleaning up and making sure everything is in perfect operating order. I highly recommend HardCastle and these two technicians!

    The whole service was great from beginning to end. Their technician came to the house to service our furnace. Found that our gas furnace and water heater had out lived their service life. Within a few days, another team came in to replace both appliances. After they completed the install, the technician walked us through the operation of the appliances. They cleaned up the mass, picked up the tarps placed on the carpet. We are very happy from beginning to end. Thank you for your service.

    My Furnace ExperienceA few weeks ago my furnace stopped working (mostly). It would work for a day or two then stop for a day, then work again, etc. I Googled issues and many things came up for why it could happen. I called Hardcastle Home Services and explained my situation. Literally, there was a technician at my house in less than 30 minutes. My furnace was 32 years old. Tyler (the technician) spent a lot of time checking things out, explaining to me the various issues he was observing, oil leaking, burned resistors, rust, corrosion, etc. All things you expect with a 32 year-old furnace. Then we discussed repair costs versus the cost of new furnaces. It was time for a new furnace.Tyler told me they could have a new furnace up and running in my house in 24-48 hours!! Well, it turns out, the day I was scheduled for the install, it snowed 26 inches at my house!!!! I truly expected a call to cancel. Nope. At 10:00am sharp, to my amazement, my doorbell rang. There stood Hayden and Ryan with smiles on their faces. They came in spite of the weather. After a quick review of the furnace situation and what they were facing for the install, Hayden says “Hey, you got any snow shovels? We need to shovel your driveway to get the truck in to unload the new furnace!!!”Folks, THAT is service. So the three of us got to work on 26 inches of snow. After clearing a path, the install began. Several “complications” came up during the install that were related to how my furnace was initially installed in a small closet. Hayden and Ryan worked through these issues easily. After about two and a half hours, the satisfying feeling of heat entered my home again.I could go on forever and not finish saying all the good things I could say about my experience with Hardcastle Home Services. From the people answering the phones, to scheduling, to diagnosis, to installation and follow up, I am VERY satisfied. I would HIGHLY recommend Hardcastle Home Services to anyone looking for quality local service.

    My furnace humidifier was leaking, so I called Hardcastle and left message. Received a call back early in the morning and had a scheduled service call within 2 hours. Josh showed up on time and quickly diagnosed the problem and resolved it promptly. Excellent service. We had some good conversations while he worked.     We were having a very cold spell and started having problems with our hot water heating system. Raul came in the time frame that we were given, diagnosed the problem in the first 5 minutes and fixed it. He was very personable and seemed to really know what he was doing. The office person was very friendly, helpful and patient. Thank you both!11/10/22 We had Travis come out to do maintiance on our boiler and again we were very happy with the work and helpfulness of everyone at Hardcastle.11/25/2024 We have used Hardcastle for years and always been very pleased with their professionalism and service. Now is the first time that I have been unhappy with their service. I dont know if they are just getting to big or what is going on but I am very unhappy with them now. We tried to schedule an inspection and maintance on our boiler since last October. They have cancelled and rescheduled us FOUR times. I feel like they could care less about their established customers. I am looking for another company from here on out.

    We had not had a service on our propane furnace for years. Hardcastle arrived on-time and were incredibly thorough -- he even removed a lot of dead mice that were in the ducting. Extremely professional and courteous; and the price was very affordable! I cannot recommend Hardcastle enough -- these are the guys you need to call!

    If I could give 10 stars I would. My water heater flooded my laundry room on a Sunday morning around 10:00. I called another 24 hour company and they said they would send someone out between 2 and 5 that afternoon, at 1:30 they called me back and said they didnt have a qualified plumber in my area for that day. With limited options on a Sunday afternoon I wasnt very hopeful. I called Hardcastle in Woodland Park and within 5 minutes Terry had called me back. I gave him the best description I could over the phone. He was honest and very informative. Within the hour he arrived and brought the right parts to fix my water heater. Price was much less than I expected to pay for an emergency service. As a technician he was professional, clean, and knowledgeable. Any future plumbing and heating needs I will use Hardcastle!

    I would like to compliment everyone at Hardcastle for their professionalism, service, and responsiveness.We had a water heater break unexpectedly (0500 before work, of course!) but it had given 31 years of service. RIP, old water heater.We called Hardcastle at 731am. From the first call, everyone at Hardcastle has worked diligently to get us up and running. IT was less than one week from broken water heater to new water heater and that included a 3 day gap while we were out of town, else Hardcastle would have had it done in 3 days from first call.Kathy (Customer Service) was fantastic at answering questions, scheduling estimates, service appts, and inspections. Kyle (General Manager) was extremely timely, informative and provided detailed estimates and advice. Hayden (Technician) was efficient, hard-working, and solution-oriented.On top of all that, everyone was a real pleasure to work with. I believe that attitude really does reflect leadership and it is clear there is truly effective leadership in place at Hardcastle. Hardcastle ensured that they delivered product and service that exceeded expectations and delivered value for cost. Hardcastle has earned a satisfied and repeat customer in us.

    These guys are the best! We had our entire plumbing system replaced and our heating system repaired. We are from out of state and a neighbor recommended Hardcastle. We worked with them over a period of several months and they arranged to get all our projects done in the small time frame we had available. The people in the shop were friendly and worked with us so well. Tom, David, Donnie, Travis and Tyler were so professional, friendly and agreeable to whatever we needed. They showed up on time, worked hard and did an incredible job! We can’t say enough to express how grateful full we are and how great they are!     Hardcastle installed our new furnace a couple years ago and its been working great. Their technicians are very friendly and professional, and they make sure to explain what theyve done and anything that might need to be done. We have them out every fall to check the furnace before winter, and they do a great job of taking care of us.

    I had to have a new Furnace put In my house. I called Hardcastle home Services. A service man (Jacob) very professional and friendly came and looked at my furnace fixed the problem temperately. My furnace was 44 years old so I decided on a new furnace. This was on a Thursday. He said he could have a new one installed the next day. I decided to have it installed on Monday. They called on Monday morning to let me know what time the service man would be here. He was on time and started right away. His name was Joe. He is the happiest person who loves his job. Not many people can say that. He never took a break one time. He finished the job, explained everything to me about the furnace and what to do. I was so happy I bought the yearly service policy. This company is professional, fair priced and a pleasure to deal with. If you need service CALL THEM you wont be sorry. Mike, a happy customer.

    Our furnace went our yesterday and I called Hardcastle and they rearranged their schedule so they could send someone out to check the furnace. right away. Jacob came out and inspected the furnace and found that the heat exchanger was compromised. We decided to go ahead with a new furnace instead of a repair. Jacob was able to get a us a good deal on a new unit and the install was set for the next day. Joe Callegari came out the today morning and did a complete install and repaired and replaced some other items in the heating system that needed work. He was prompt, extremely knowledgeable, great to work with and he left the place very clean. He brought along his dog, Little Bear and she was a delight to have around. I highly recommend Hardcastle Heat and Air, Jacob and Joe. Top notch operation!

    I had a problem with my furnace and stopped by the shop to make an appointment for a tech to come out. The ladies in the office were so nice! The tech, Joshua, and a trainee came to my house the next day. They were timely, very nice, presentable and super knowledgeable. They made an easy fix and just charged me the flat fee of the service charge. As a newly single woman, they also educated and showed me on what they did and how to maintain my furnace. Phenomenal!

    These guys have completed several jobs for me. Installing both commercial and residential units and repairing the boiler at my home.They show up on time. The ladies in the office are nice and easy to work with. They send out a text when the crew leaves their shop to let you know they are on their way. In the text is a photo of who to expect at your door. Professional set up that no other company Ive encountered goes to the length to do.More than anything else, they are extremely knowledgable with what they do. The crew of guys show up to get it done and they arent afraid to send out 3-6 guys depending on what your job is. The job is never drug out. Prices are right and service is excellent.They run gas lines, new electrical if needed, repair and bring to code old equipment, ect....Look no further than these guy for your home/office needs.Very satisfied multi job customer.

    Due to a year of unfortunate events, over the past 6 months we needed a new sump pump, ductwork, electrical work, multiple furnace checks, and new plumbing for our kitchen sink/disposal/dishwasher.     Hardcastle rocks! For the last 3 days my furnace has been acting up. It would work great for 12-14 hours then start acting up again. I called Hardcastle Heating the day before Thanksgiving and, amazingly, they sent a technician to my house that same day! I was pleased my furnace was up and running great again until it wasn’t. Long story short, for the next 36 hours or so my furnace would work fine, then stop. I was mystified & frustrated. Hardcastle was great. I spoke with them or texted my technician multiple times during this period of time. From their answering service to their office personnel, to, and, especially, my technician (yes, I do consider him MY technician now) everyone was polite, patient and professional in dealing with me. I was an extremely anxious client and MY technician came again to my home Friday, the day after Thanksgiving. He quickly resolved the issue and succinctly explained what he did in layman’s terms so I understood what he fixed. Then, as he walked out the door he turned to me, smiled and pleasantly said “I hope not to see you again this winter Mrs. VanDenburgh. Let me know if you have any more problems.” What a guy! Thank you Hardcastle! Thank you Tyler! I would refer this business to everyone in a heartbeat! Very kind, down-to-earth folks who have great employees, care about their customers and treat them with respect and kindness! I give them an A++!

    The only company I would ever recommend!!! After having no heat and another company misdiagnosed the problem that was going to cost us hundreds of dollars.     Nice to have a home services company right across the parking lot!I thought Id give em a try. The home I bought had a 40 year old toilet, basically unusable. Hardcastle was attentive and professional during the initial service scheduling; an inspector came over and ascertained the issue, then scheduled the technician for service and replacement. Both were cordial and attentive, both professional and clearly knew their business. Price for the replacement was reasonable - about what I was expecting.I highly recommend them if you are in the Colorado Springs - Woodland Park area; I will call on them again if need.

    Kyle Lewis, the General Manager at Hardcastle Heating, took it upon himself to make an appointment and personally inspect every aspect of the installation of our new furnace. As a master mechanic with 17 years of experience he was extremely knowledgeable.     Great company! The technician arrived on time and started to work as scheduled. The technician was very knowledgeable and polite. He was very patient in answering any questions I had. He was very careful when bringing the new furnace into the house not to hit the walls etc. He also cleaned up the area he was working in, couldnt even tell he had been here.     Weve been very pleased with the service from Hardcastle. Travis came yesterday to do the annual system maintenance on our furnace and was very professional, courteous and friendly, while taking the necessary time to thoroughly check out and clean our furnace. He believes strongly in customer education and made a point of telling me that the igniter on our 14 year-old furnace was aging. He had even removed it to show me the specific signs that the part was showing its age, but also assured me that it was still in good enough condition to continue working for some time.     It started off great and ended not as good. One would think with an $11,500 job total, that when done we would have at least one tub to bath in even if just in the tubs without showers. However, after 3 days work, now I have to wait for their schedule to open up next week to get a tub set and useable when they knew we were moving drains.I also now have an open wall section between a water heater and an electrical breaker box for the house. This includes mounting the water heater to far forward and now I cannot rehang door for water closet. But we do have an all replumbed house we can take sink baths in the kitchen sink with our nice new filtered water system for another week after sink bathing all this week as well.I will say that there was a change or two on my end, however those changes were communicated early on before the job even started and agreed to before work had begun. Again, I get that does not inform on where all floor joists are or what might get or be in the way of things, however after being here 3 days, one would think we could have addressed enough to get one tub work before they left us high and dry for a week.They started the job cleaning as they went, but by day three my partner and I were doing more of the cleaning up after everyone.To wrap up, overall, I feel the work and workmanship is fine, however I find them lacking in some areas that could have made this a much better experience. I know they are restructuring the company a bit and adding more services; however, I feel like due to the new areas of business they are not up to their best potential yet and need to find their groove again.Edit Update:They worked really hard to work out a follow-up appointment to handle the missed drain issue one at least one tub to give us a way to bath during the rest of this long remodeling job of our home. We were also assured that we would have any and all remaining issues or work handled as promised as supplies finish arriving. I still do look forward to finishing the remainder of work with them to include heating unit and backup power supply system along with the remaining plumbing as it arrives.

    The bomb! I RARELY give 5 stars for ANYTHING, and generally detest plumbers... they are typically arrogant and uncaring of your needs, criticality, and timeframe--if they answer the phone at all. These people were amazing!     We had an after-hours call when our boiler decided to stop working and we immediately called Hardcastle. The answering service was excellent at taking our information, and Kyle, the on call repairman, called us immediately to try to diagnose the issue over the phone. When he heard the details, he was upfront that we did need a service call and detailed the charges for it before booking it. He arrived exactly when he said he would, did a very thorough job of diagnosing our issue and again clearly outlining the cost of the repairs. He also took us through the repair costs for other elements of our boiler as well as options to install a tankless system if we wanted to go that route. Having this information is incredibly helpful, and because of his diligence, we decided to sign up for the 3 year maintenance service.     Kyle came out and made some repairs to our boiler furnace and serviced it for the winter. Everything was included in the estimate he gave us ahead of time. Very pleased with the work!We had hot water in the radiators when the thermostats were set to heat off. He replaced the zone body/valve/ball for the main level of our home (old ball was 1/3 eaten away— prob from the 90s).A previous owner installed a radiant heat floor system— but it didn’t have a thermostat to regulate the temperature. So Kyle was able to cut off / bypass the hot water feeding into the PEX tubing until we install a proper temp regulation device. (The proper temp for the radiant floor system is much cooler that what was feeding into it, unregulated.)Glad to have this taken care of and in good working order for this winter!     I called Hardcastle to clean the ducts in our just moved-in home. I had noticed that the heating vents in the master bedroom were full of carpet pad pieces and pet hair. It was apparent, the previous owner(s) had never had duct cleaning. Hardcastle was having a $199 special. I thought to myself, I might have to pay a little extra for something else they find, but it will be worth it. Much to my surprise, I didnt have to pay for anything extra, and the service was excellent. The technicians showed up on time, went right to work after I showed them where all vents were located, all 22 of them on 3 floors! The amount of Gunk they cleaned out was amazing. Im not sure how the previous owners ran the furnce year after year and didnt have some lung or allergy issues. They even ran a sanitizer through the system, and checked make sure the furnace ran properly. The work was all done in about an hour and a half. The techs were professional, friendly, respectful, and helpful in some of their recommendations. There was no hard sell on any other services, so I feel very comfortable using Hardcastle Heating & Air for future services. And I feel very comfortable recommending them to other homeowners. I call Hardcastle Saturday morning and talk to Chris, she is extremely helpful and makes sure she gets someone sent up to the unit even though they’re off on Saturdays. Gerald, the tech, shows up to the unit and immediately identifies the problem that I had missed. Fixes, cleans, and replaces the filter on the unit. Tenant is happy, I am happy, the bill was less than expected. They didn’t try to sell me a new furnace or overcharge at all. I’m so relieved that I found a heating business so easy to work with that services my rentals in Cripple Creek. I give them my highest recommendation and it should be noted that I rarely ever write reviews. Thank you Chris and Gerald, you turned a tough situation into a non issue.

    When we had the recent cold snap my heater went out. I called 5 companies and nobody had the courtesy to call me back to see if I was frozen to my recliner. Then I called Hardcastle.     I cant say enough about the employees and owners of hardcastle heating and plumbing. Made an appointment to have my furnace serviced and the technician came out 10 minutes prior to the arrange time. Come to find out I needed a new furnace and they worked with me in explain the process and everything that would have to happen. Again there were early for their appointment to install the furnace and they had a major hiccup and had to swap out the furnace they apologized profusely and got the work done immediately after getting the 2nd furnace. I had to have a follow up appointment and again the technician showed up prior to the agreed upon time was professional and courteous .I will definitely be recommending them for anybody to use!!!!Michael Baumert

    Dave & helper reinstalled our garbage disposal due to new sink being lower than original sink. They were very pleasant and got the job done to our satisfaction. We did notice some wet rags under the sink just today & are keeping an eye on it. Will call Hardcastle if this continues.     I give Paul Hardcastle, owner of Hardcastle Heating & Air, my highest recommendation! First, he gave me a quote, and thats exactly what I paid, no well we had to do this or that extra. He removed the old furnace and installed the new one, which required some creative thinking since it is in a very old, small A-frame cabin with limited space and cement block walls. No problem for Paul with his years of experience. They were respectful of my home, putting down drop cloths to limit the mess of installation, and cleaned up after. Paul is friendly, professional and HONEST, a truly rare quality these days! AND, a dog person, which to me speaks volumes. Thanks Paul!

    They returned our calls, got out pretty quick. Took care if the issue with furnace intermittent off/on. Ran tests gave recommendation and it is fixed. Reasonable price. Its challenging to get service people to come out here, even more difficult to have them be competent. The service rep was awesome and didnt even mind our pets being so nosey.

    Im not easily impressed these days but after the guys at Hardcastle finished replacing my 20 plus year old boiler with a new combi unit all I can say is wow. They took a dated system and replaced it with what can only be called a work of art. They answered all of my questions and left me confident going into the winter with a unit that will keep my house warm and provide all the hot water I could ever need. Feel confident that if you need this type of work done that these are the guys to do it!
