Duane has been an amazing asset to our projects. He has helped us from start to finish with custom work including finding unique pieces of wood, helping refine our vision and providing a detail oriented end product that surpassed our expectations. He is a consummate professional at all times. He is a great communicator and kept us in the loop at all times with the progress of the projects. He created a counter top product that is the center piece of our house. I will continue to use him for projects and would not hesitate to call him for large or small endeavors. I have used many contractors in past for multiple home needs and he is in the top 10% for timeliness, being detail oriented, a great communicator, and respecting my home.

Duane Johnson is somewhat of a rarity around our area in that he never fails to do exactly what he says that hes gonna do. He shows up on time, attends to his work quietly, is very efficient - and is willing to offer suggestions as to where and how to accomplish some issues that might require less financial investment than you might have expected. He is honest, forthright and polite, a pleasure to chat with, and does very good work. We wouldnt consider anyone else for carpentry work in our home.

Working with Duane was truly a wonderful experience. I was given his name by a painter that had done some work in our home. I really didnt know much about him, but called the number given me and he actually answered the phone. He was prompt in coming to my house to review the projects I was interested in. On his website you will see the beautiful beetle kill wood he added to our office. I just had finished a new wall with barn wood and he used the left over barnwood for the chair rail ledge to flow with the wall in the hallway. He totally used his creativity to design the ledge. Also, before we even started the wall, he cut me a few different finishes and had me select my favorite. He completed the work promptly, stuck with the original bid, though he added a few extra finishing touches. We were so pleased we added two more projects, having him take our original alder doors and transform them to custom sliding barn doors to our bathrooms. They turned out perfect and he allowed us to us products we already had and wanted to incorporate into the projects without adding extra costs. He was always on time, cleaned up after himself everyday. We had no problem leaving our home open for him while we were at work. I would say I am beyond picky, and he met every expectation. So happy to have found DJ Carpentry. Had sliding barn doors installed between our bedroom and bathroom. Duane showed up on time, did exceptional work and charged a very fair price. This is a rare find in today’s market. Will definitely use his services again!!

Would highly recommend this DJ Carpentry! He is very detailed, asked questions that would make a difference. He was clean, careful with moving large pieces of wood and equipment around. All-around an excellent carpenter - highly skilled well above and beyond what he did for us at our house!
