It has been wonderful working with Ran and the rest of the team - Albert, Fernando, Eric and JoseRan is always a great sounding board and helpful when coming up with the layout and decisions of how to stay in the budget. Ran always respected my ideas and would always find a way to make it work. If something we wanted to do was out of budget I never felt forced or pressure into doing it, and often Ran would have a different solution to make something work.The scope of the work has stayed with in the budget he quotes us after our permits were issued. Things did get a little more expensive as our permits were getting approved (city of Burbank took about 1.5 years to approve them) But once we were ready to move with approved permits costs never changed from the SOW....which was amazing...there were no hidden costs.The only things that took us out of the budget was out of his control like our roof rafters not being to current code. But Ran was able to take what could have been a very stressful and painful discovery and help us realize how we could use needing repairs as a opportunity to really make those room feel polished and add recessed lighting to two rooms that had always felt dark. The two bedroom now look brand new and so bright and welcoming.Albert and Fernando have been our contacts on the day to day of the project and is always great at keeping us in the loop of what is happening and when. Both are always quick to respond when we text and are great and making sure everything is taken care of. Ran is often there for check ins and is always available as well.It has been great working with DKR because we have seen real progress and movement. There is always someone working on the project it never goes days or a week without someone there which is issues I’ve had with other construction companies in the past.Also the quality of the work is amazing...they always take great attention to detail. If we do ever point anything out with it their response is no problem, we will take care of itI feel completely respected and like I have a true partner in this project. It has turned out way better than we ever imagined.Cant wait to do the next project with them.

We recently completed a full home remodel, ADU conversion, and pool construction with DKR Construction. At least once a day, someone in our family takes a look around and says I love our house. Thats a credit to the fantastic work done by Ran, Fernando, Albert, and everyone that works with Ran at DKR Construction.We interviewed several contractors but always came back to Ran. We were impressed by his knowledge, but even more by his honesty, and ability to listen and offer solutions, always focusing on what we wanted to get out of the house. Hes incredibly responsive and a person of his word, so if he says something will get done, you know it will.Whenever a problem arose -- as theyre bound to with a project of this size -- Rans focus was on getting to a solution we were happy with. Hes incredibly creative, but what we appreciated as much as his suggestions was his willingness to come up with another solution if he knew the first one didnt work for us.Its a wonderful feeling to end the project having even more faith in the contractor than you did when you started. Thats the way we feel about Ran and DKR. Ran has a great team in place, from Fernando, the foreman who saw the project through from beginning to end, to Albert, who keeps things moving at the office, to the subcontractors who were all top notch and knew what Ran wanted, making the whole process run more smoothly.When we told our kids we were writing a review, they said to be sure and mention how nice all the guys were. We heard the same thing from our neighbors, who all said Ran, Fernando, Eric, and his team were always polite and very responsive -- if a car needed to be moved or the like, they would drop what they were doing to take care of it.Were so happy with our house now that we cant imagine leaving it, but if we were ever going to do another project like this, Ran would be our first call.

Our home is everything we dreamed of, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with DKR Construction! This experience has been especially meaningful to me, as my father, who sadly passed away, was a contractor himself. He was known for his integrity, kindness, and dedication to his craft. So, when I set out to find the right contractor for our project, I wanted someone who not only had the skills but also shared those same values. After meeting with several contractors, it became clear that Ran was the one who truly stood out. From the moment we met, he was a light to our family. His deep knowledge, patience, and unwavering professionalism were immediately apparent. He took the time to listen to all of our concerns and answered every question we had, no matter how small.What impressed me most, though, was his consistency. Throughout the entire process, he and his team—particularly Jose and Fernando—were nothing short of exceptional. We just completed our kitchen and den remodel working with Ran Delouya and DKR Construction. We can’t say enough positive things about the experience and results.We recently moved to SoCal. We knew when we purchased our house we wanted to upgrade the kitchen and likely paint the interior, but weren’t certain exactly what we wanted. Working with Ran and his designer, Stacey Rifkin, we developed a plan for the kitchen, den, bar, hallway cabinets, and laundry room as well as changing tile on two fireplaces.Ran’s team does custom cabinetry so we were free to design what we wanted and were not limited to installation of ready made cabinetry. We selected a beautiful white oak and quartz counter tops for the kitchen and bar. We expanded storage capacity designing a combination of drawers and pull out shelves, along with expanding the island and enlarging the pantry.Stacey also helped with colors, materials, and various appliance and lighting choices. The team was always responsive to our needs and concerns. We made the job a bit more difficult by choosing to live in the house during the remodel (not something we necessarily recommend). Since we painted the entire interior there was a lot of moving around but the team was very accommodating and very flexible while staying on schedule.There were no unexpected costs and no change orders. All work was done on time and on budget. We’ve had remodel work done in previous homes and Ran and his team were simply exceptional. We highly recommend Ran and DKR Construction.

Look no further for the absolute best contractor. Ran and the team at DK Construction are incredible- professional, diligent, competent, kind, and thorough. We just completed a full remodel, down to the studs, on a 1930s Spanish house.Before we selected a contractor we heard horror stories from friends about their renovation experiences. We knew we needed to pick a top-notch contractor. One who would help us get through the hurdles. Who would communicate and collaborate. Someone who would be a true partner through this emotional and expensive experience. Ran and his team delivered.Of course, like with any major renovation, there were hurdles and bumps in the process, but Ran was the best partner to work through it all. He was very communicative and committed to making everything right. He brought in fantastic subs and managed the whole process perfectly even when things didn’t work out as expected or planned.We certainly chose the right contractor! Unlike most of our friends who had major construction hurdles and conflicts with their contractors, we are now on the other side with a beautiful new home and no major battle wounds to share thanks to Ran and the entire DK Construction team.Thank you!!

DKR Construction is the best. Before a friend recommended them to us, we remodeled our kitchen with another company and there is no comparison. I can’t say enough great things about Ran - he is wonderful to work with and makes the process really fun. Fernando, Albert and the rest of the team are just as great. We remodeled our master bathroom and couldn’t be happier with the result. The team has great communication and attention to detail. Highly recommend DKR and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Don’t wait- hire DKR ConstructionUpdarte - April 2022 - We just finished phase 2 of our home renovation that included our primary bed and bathroom remodel. I absolutely love the work that Ran and team did. All new floor tile/shower tile and fixtures, a cutom vanity! I love the new beam and fan in the bedroom. I now have my dream bathroom .Update- May 2021- After just 13 weeks, we have the most beautiful remodeled home and I couldn’t be more happy with DKR Construction. All of our ideas plus excellent direction from Ram were put in place on time and in budget. Our custom cabinets in our kitchen and laundry room really stand out. We hired them to transform our garage into an ADU, and we couldnt be happier with the results. The project stayed on budget, and we even received it a month ahead of schedule. It only took three months to complete. DK maintained constant communication throughout the process and was very transparent about what to expect next. There were no hidden surprises, just hard work. Run. Dont walk to have Ran and DKR Construction tackle any remodel you are contemplating. We asked several friends if they have had a good experience with a contractor. All answered “meh” and didnt feel comfortable passing on contact information. A co-worker said he had the guy for us.From beginning to end, Ran was involved. If you are not exactly sure of your remodel plans, Ran is a visionary. He helped maximize our floor plan while keeping the look and feel of the space beautiful. All awhile keeping a mindful watch on the budget and work of scope. When decisions did arise where an overage could occur, he laid out all options at different price levels.Ran also brings a team that believes in his business. There was not a revolving door of new workers each day. From painting to electrical to flooring to demo. Guys from each team were respectful and cleaned up everyday. The constant contact with all his project managers (Albert, Fernando and Jose) made the day to day dealings smooth. He also has an amazing interior designer, Stacey. She is a must use.In the end, you know you are pleased and happy with the work completed when you could be 100% certain to refer family, friend or a co-worker to DKR construction. And that is exactly how I feel.

Weve done many renovation projects and have yet to use a contractor more than once - or have ever recommended a contractor to anyone - until now. DKR (Ran and his team) are consumate professionals, they take pride in their work, are perfectionists, work around challenging projects that have come up, they are with you during every step of the construction process offering solutions which are always budget-conscious. Perhaps most distinctively from other GCs, Ran is a man of his word, if anything goes wrong at any point, he is accountable and addresses any issues timely and with zero pushback. DKR came highly recommended from 3 co-workers, and we have not been disppointed and continue to recommend DKR to anyone who wants a project done on-time, on-budget and with folks who really love what they do and take pride in their work.

Ive known Ran professionally for years and have referred him to many of my clients. My clients have always sung his praises so when it was time for us to do our ADU, DKR was our obvious choice. People thought we were nuts for not interviewing more contractors, but what I knew about Ran is that what he quotes you is generally what youll be paying. I know many first-hand accounts of people choosing the cheaper or better priced contractor and then they are very surprised when the costs increased exponentially over the course of construction. With DKR, they stick to their estimates and are very precise. No surprises. They were incredibly professional from start to finish and we encountered very few surprises with regards to the construction process, something that is generally unheard of. When something did come up, they were quick to present options and remediate the problem. Rans associates Albert and Fernando were lovely to work with day to day and were always available to answer any questions/concerns we had along the way. Their team was timely, professional, and kind. When someone was scheduled to arrive at 7AM, they arrived at 7AM and they always cleaned up at the end of the day. His subcontractors were all excellent and the work they did was beyond what we were hoping for - my bathroom and kitchen tile is exceptional. And they completed the project 2 months ahead of schedule! I cant recommend DKR enough - they are the real deal. If youre looking for expertise, professionalism, and know-how, look no further.

Ran and his team were fantastic to work with. He listened to and answered all of our questions and concerns. Helped us problem solve whenever a challenge was encountered coming up with solutions that not only solved the issue, but kept us within our budget.Ran worked seamlessly with our architect to helped us realize our vision on a major 9-month interior and exterior home renovation. Every member of his team was courteous and professional, bringing their A-game every day and as a result the job was done to perfection. I can not recommend DKR Construction enough.

My wife and I bought our home in 2015 and interviewed numerous contractors over the years before our designer introduced us to Ran. We immediately knew Ran was the one we wanted to trust with our home renovation. Three things really resonated with us when choosing to work with Ran:(1) He was a tremendous communicator, clearly explaining all the phases of the project and what we could expect.(2) He was easy to talk to and get along with, which was important to us as a home renovation is a months-long process.(3) But most importantly, we felt he was a man of integrity, and that is obviously critical when you enter these types of relationships.I am happy to report that Ran and his teams work exceeded our expectations. How often can anyone say that?...especially with something as major as a home renovation. We are so very happy with our new home.The quality of the work was excellent, both in terms of the craftsmanship and the attention to detail. Ran and his amazing foreman, Fernando, were so easy to work with. And that integrity I spoke about earlier? - not once did we feel taken advantage of. And that includes Ran discovering a fairly major structural issue with our house once they started the work, but we believe it was handled fairly, reasonably, and appropriately. Best news: The project finished on time!We cant recommend Ran, Fernando, and the DKR Team enough. My wife and I joke that we wish we had another home for them to work on. If we ever do buy another SoCal home, DKR will be our first and only call.

They were incredibly responsive, showed up exactly as promised, came every single day until the project was completed, proactively addressed any issues which came up, and all in all were incredibly professional curteous. They ere recommended to us by some friends and now I know why. My only regret is that I dont have more projects at this time to have them help us with. Next time I do I will look no further than DKR and suggest anyone who is looking for a reliable contractor who does excellent work and stands behind their quality to also stop your search here.

Ran from DKR Construction was recommended to us by our real estate agent for our full kitchen remodel. Ran was instantly easy to talk to and he spent several hours with us during the first meeting. He even did a mock design during our first meeting as we were bouncing ideas off of each other - this really helped us get a visual understanding of the design we had in mind. We had called another company for a quote and they did not want to sit down and work on a design together until we signed a contract. This made Ran stand out to us. The amount of time Ran took to talk and design with us (before even signing a contract) showed us how much he cared and was invested in helping us create a functional, beautiful kitchen. When it was time to sign the contract, Ran took the time to explain everything to us and make sure we were aware of costs upfront. We could tell that he didn’t want us to be surprised or disappointed so he put everything out on the table so we could manage our expectations. Since signing the contract, we have made a few revisions to the design and Ran was always more than willing to talk them through with us to make sure we’re happy. He doesn’t get overwhelmed or irritated every time we want to make a change. He is quick to reply to any of our questions and communicates well. We are about to start the demolition of the kitchen on Monday and we’re so excited! We know Ran will be a great communicator and the project will be very organized. To be continued...Ran and his team surpassed our expectations! They completed our full kitchen remodel in under 4 weeks - this is unheard of! Ran was very organized, responsive (no matter what day or what time it was), and most importantly, made sure we were 100% satisfied. It was clear that our happiness was his number 1 priority. He explained everything very well to us and addressed every single one of our questions with a positive, light-hearted attitude. Not only was Ran and his team easy to work with, their work was clean, detailed, sharp and absolutely stunning. This company is a well-oiled, smooth sailing, machine! We didn’t have any major issues and everything ran right on time. We plan to work with them again for any future house remodeling! We can’t recommend them enough. Ran and his team at DKR Construction really saved our ADU renovation. Initially we had started the process with another contractor and after almost a year into the permit and planning process we decided to move on from that contractor before construction started and find someone else. Since we had such a bad first experience with the previous contractor when looking for a new one we really did our due diligence. When we met with Ran we had met with 11 other contractors. Ran was the only one who took us to one of his current construction projects and showed us around. He also introduced us to his client and let us ask them questions privately. This client had had a similar past experience as us and had only great things to say about Ran and his team so we decided to move forward with Ran.Ran, and his team especially Fernando and Alberto really did a great job of staying on time and on budget. We felt that no corners were cut in the construction of our ADU. We also felt that Ran made sure to be transparent and tell us when problems arose and have solution options for us. These problems came up maybe once or twice throughout an almost 10 month process. His subcontractors are all people he trusts and works with regularly so they all feel like a well oiled machine. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, transparent, and hardworking team then DKR is who you should hire. We are very happy with the results of our new ADU and look forward to working DKR in the future.

We hired DKR to convert our garage into an ADU and they were fantastic! Ran and his team were kind and professional, worked quickly, and kept us informed through every step of the process. The great thing about Ran is that he works on the design with you and has a great eye for detail. He supervised everything and kept us informed through every step of the project. From designing the plans, to painting, to appliance installation, to the final touches, everyone who worked on the project was talented and courteous. Ran and his team were easy to communicate with. Our ADU turned out beautifully and we get lots of great compliments on it! I highly recommend Ran and DKR -- we definitely plan on using them for our next project!

When we started house hunting about three months ago, we anticipated it would be a long process. We were surprised when we found a house during the first week of looking and after a month we were the proud owners of a fixer-upper to call home. We bought a mid-century house that had only had two owners and the last owner was a not-so-skilled DIYer, We thought wed have more time to figure out home improvement, but things didnt turn out that way. Luckily I did a search for contractors on Nextdoor, found Ran with DKR Construction, reviewed his previous work online and made a call. Ran was one out of a number of contractors I contacted, but he was the only one that was very professional and helpful during our first call. We met with Ran and one other contractor, and no doubt, there was a big difference. We discussed everything we wanted to have updated. Wanting to move in within a month, during our first meeting Ran was able to help us project manage out what should happen before we moved in and what could wait based on the overall plans we had. Within a month Ran and his team did an amazing interior paint job, and corrected a number of issues. With his guidance, we also picked out affordable, durable yet gorgeous flooring that he and his team installed perfectly. Shortly after moving in we had new windows replaced throughout the house. Ran and his project manager Ani were responsive, professional, and receptive to our feedback throughout the whole process. Although we still have a lot of unpacking to do in our 60+ year old house, it feels fresh, it no longer screams DIY, and its a home that were proud of thanks to DKR Construction. Thank you, Ran and Ani! Well look forward to working with you for our renovation plans yet to come.

If we could give 10 stars we would. Ran, Albert and the entire DKR team were extraordinary to work with. They were referred to us through a friend after the relationship with our original contractor went south (and after several months of dealing with the water leak claim with our insurance and no full bathroom in our house). Ran came in and quickly prepared an estimate that fit our budget and immediately got to work. We had a couple setbacks due to shipping and inspections, but throughout Ran and his team had impeccable communication and creative solutions that helped us stay on track and within our budget. When concerns arose, they were heard and quickly addressed. The team who redid our bathroom were all genuinely lovely people to have in our home (construction was done during Covid, over the holidays and with our toddler running around the house so this detail was particularly appreciated). Everyone on the team seemed to take pride in the work they did and were incredibly clean and efficient. And the work done was absolutely beautiful! They even threw in lovely details liked recessed lighting and a shower niche which were unexpected but our favorite features. We are extremely happy with our new bathroom, would highly recommend DKR and look forward to working with them again on future projects!

We used DKR to convert our garage into an ADU, with an addition. Ran and his team were friendly, professional, and happy to offer advice to guide us through the entire process as relatively new homeowners. They were good about keeping us updated with scheduling, billing, what was needed on our end as far as materials, etc (and they were happy to make suggestions when we got overwhelmed). Unlike other contractors weve worked with before, we always felt like we could trust that they had our best interest in mind, and werent ignoring us or putting our needs on the back burner. The end product is beautiful and it took no time at all to find a renter! I have already recommended them to numerous friends looking to do similar jobs and will continue to do so.

It was a true pleasure working with Ran and his whole team at DKR Construction. We worked with another contractor the year before and the difference between them and DKR was night and day. We wish we had used DKR from the start of our home renovation projects! We remodeled an old bathroom and the end result is wonderful, we are extremely pleased.The process was smooth, with clear details and timelines. We didnt feel like we were being jerked around or lied to at all either, which we experienced with the other contractor.We will 100% be working with DKR for any home projects in the future!

We hired DKR Construction to completely remodel our kitchen and bathroom and couldn’t be happier with the end results. From start to finish, Ran and his team did a fantastic job. He was always available, communicative, very patient and detailed oriented. He’s extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of design and will offer his opinion, but respects yours too. In addition, he completed our job on time and also on budget!! Amazing. Remodels are inherently stressful for a homeowner, but Ran’s team made is easy. Needless to say, we would certainly work with them again. FIVE STARS!

We recently completed a remodel of our kitchen with Ran and his team. From the first moment he was in the door he was on time, professional, and pleasant. Ran is an excellent communicator and prompt with texts, calls, and emails. If there’s a problem, he’s quick to respond.I’m an art director for film (and as his guys would attest, am picky and demanding). I made drawings of exactly what my partner and I wanted in the kitchen. Ran went through the drawings in detail and was quick to fix any errors. If we changed our mind throughout the process or thought something could be improved he never baulked or charged us outrageous amounts of money. Change orders were reasonable and rare. More often he’d see the issue we had with something and agree it could be improved. Every person on his team was competent and friendly. Of course any remodel project is messy, but they weren’t careless with the garage or yard and did a good job protecting the other half of the house from the mess.They did a particularly great job with the tile. We had an intricate pattern on the floor and Heath Ceramics as our backsplash. They took their time and did an outstanding job.The cabinets were custom made by Jacob and Alvaro. The craftsmanship is A+. They came out and measured and discussed options with us, gave us several stain samples, texted photos from the shop as questions arose. Halfway through building one side of the counter they realized they needed additional support for the sink I’d purchased and they rebuilt the whole thing with no questions asked. They made us a banquette bench and added in a little detail that keeps the cushions from falling on the floor. Thoughtful, fast, and detailed.We’re in love with our kitchen and had a great experience working with DKR. Ran and his team are the real deal.

I’m skeptical when I see all good (or bad) reviews, but in the case of Ran Delouya and DKR Construction Im happy to add to the collection of excellent reviews. The scope of our project included remodeling the kitchen, bathroom, interior painting, and new floor installation. Since we were not tearing down any major walls or adding square footage, I was apprehensive that a contractor would not want to work with us, preferring bigger jobs that are abundant now. I saw on a neighborhood website DKR had several good reviews, followed its work on social media, and filled out the Contact form on its website. Ran reached out to me quickly, which I usually take as a good sign, and we set up an initial meeting. From the first to the last meeting, with weeks of construction in between, Ran was responsive to the goals we had for our home and demonstrated that by responding to any form of communication in a timely manner. During construction if something would come up, he offered ideas and solutions. He was flexible if we decided to change or add something, and he wants the results to be something both we and he will be proud of. The team that works with Ran is also top notch. Fernando was often onsite to answer questions and explain what was happening which was reassuring. At an impromptu meeting he impressed me by remembering something I had mentioned previously was very important to me. Albert is patient and kind. He explained what we needed to do and buy before the job started and kept us updated on what to expect and when during construction, which means a lot when your home is in flux. All the tradespeople who worked on the house were talented and knowledgeable, and very neat! Remodeling at any time is stressful, add doing so during a pandemic, labor and supply shortage, and inflation, and one might think twice. But being able to say we did this, that our contractor and his team treated our relatively little project as if it were big, that work was done every day, all day, that aside from a few hours of demo the noise of construction was not excessive, that our project was done in weeks not months, and that the results turned out even better than envisioned? Well that just restores my faith in what can be.

DKR built our ADU, replaced our house windows, repainted our house and renovated our kitchen! They handled the city permits and worked with us every step of the way. They gave us practical advice on decisions we had to make such as door and window sizes and flooding prevention - and also design decisions such as floor, tile and appliance purchases. They also sat down and talked to us when questions arose or if we had to make a change, and offered us alternatives to consider. Were enjoying our new space!

We had already worked with him on a bathroom renovation last year and had a great experience with him.Ran spent quite a bit of time with us before the project started, talking about ideas of how to make the space exactly what we wanted, and creating 3D renderings to really visualize it.Alongside a designer he has worked with on many projects, he came up with a design to turn our semi-enclosed and dark feeling peninsula kitchen into a big bright kitchen with a beautiful oversized island. We could not be happier with the result, and it looks even better in person than in the renderings.This was a full gut renovation of the kitchen, down to all new electrical and plumbing, and it was very important to us to have someone we knew could handle all of it. He quoted us about 8 weeks and it was done in about six in the end, and everyone who came as a subcontractor was very capable and professional, which was particularly important due to covid precautions.Other than the design and technical skills, what I am always most impressed with is Rans ability to manage the whole project, both the schedule coordinating so many specialists and also the budget. He is able to foresee potential problems before they happen and sequence everything so that the project can happen on schedule and very close to on budget. We are done with big house projects for a while now, but certainly any needs in the future, he will certainly be our first and only call to make it happen!

We highly recommend Ran Delouya and DKR Construction. We are very happy that we were able to work with him and would definitely use him again if hes available.Ran is very professional and trustworthy. He gives you a detailed scope of work (with line items of everything he will do) and payment schedule in advance. These documents must require a lot of Rans time. We have friends that paid their contractor most of the money in advance, and the job was never completed. You can trust Ran Delouya. He is patient and listens to what you need. Ran has been amazing to work with on every front. He has become our friend.Ran is a super hard worker. He works until late hours of the night making sure people are pleased. Hes very intelligent. He knows about substantially all areas of construction, from permitting and design to electrical and plumbing. He has a contact for everything, no matter how obscure the construction project. We didnt always use Rans people, but it was great to know that he had someone on call that could help us in a bind.No home renovation is perfect, and when we certainly had some troubling and stressful situations, When you are with him, he has many people calling and texting him with problems. Even though some of the situations must be troubling and stressful, Ran never loses his cool. He has the perfect temperament for a general contractor.Ran is very responsive. He responds to you, even when it is not convenient for him. This is a huge bonus. And he is always positive. There are no problems, only solutions is typical Ran Delouya optimism.Ran is very organized. He prepares a purchase list of materials listing exactly what you need to buy for the project. He also has a super nice designer who has good taste and may be able to help you decide on things.Weve had our little problems along the way with the construction. However, none of these problems has changed our belief that we hired the best person.

We have a lot of friends that have recently renovated and they’ve all used DKR Construction. Their homes are so lovely and they’ve all had wonderful things to say about Ran and his team. So we didn’t hesitate to choose them for our bathroom renovation! Ran listened to all of my ideas, streamlined everything and put it all together in a way that we could all envision. He is open and honest, letting me know exactly how he sees every change shaking out and where we should anticipate there being issues. He returns phone calls and emails very quickly, answering my incessant questions and making sure that we’re going to be so happy in our new space. I feel completely taken care of and can’t wait to get started!

DRK Construction was absolutely fantastic for our bathroom remodel.We had a specific vision that included some difficult-to-work-with materials (our fault) and Ran and his team worked tirelessly to deliver on that vision despite the difficulties and bumps in the road that always show up when remodeling older homes.We were admittedly very picky on some of the finer details, and Ran made repeated visits simply to check back in and ensure things were exactly like we hoped. The team were flexible on many aspects of the scope of work, even going so far as to build a new exterior threshold for us which wasn’t even mentioned in the original scope. They also dealt well with unexpected challenges like the newly-raised floor creating clearance issues for the hallway and exterior doors, and they did so without any pushback or additional charges.Ran was incredibly communicative throughout the whole process and offered multiple solutions at each step, and he did so without ever coming off as pushing us in a specific direction. We were first time remodelers, and his calm and expert approach helped us feel comfortable (and walked me back from the edge a few times). Highly recommend DKR construction.

We could not be happier about choosing Ran and DKR Construction for our addition and full remodel. Ran spent countless hours with us developing plans that could be executed within our budget and would work for our vision. All of the teams that he has working for him … demo, framers, plumbers, electric, roofer, tile, paint etc were all very professional, courteous, and passionate about their work.We signed a detailed scope of work contract with him before plans were submitted to the city for approval, and he stuck to that budgeted list for everything. We may have been extremely lucky, but there were no change orders that cost us anything additional. Any extra charges were all initiated by us when we wanted to add something that wasn’t covered in the original scope of work.Most impressive was the overall timing of the process. Ran estimated that the work would 4-6 months before we got started, and when everything was finished, we were 4 months and 1 day past the start day. We would enthusiastically recommend Ran and DKR Construction to friends and neighbors.

He pointed out several areas where he thought we may have problems with what we want to do and was able to work with us for solutions. He and his workers have so far showed up on time. We just finished a project with Ran remodeling our bathroom and walk-in closets. Additionally, we opened up our attic and updated our ductwork.The project turned out great. We spent a lot of time upfront on the planning and designing. That was key. The project stayed on budget and on time, even in the midst of a pandemic. Additionally, his team always adhered to mask guidelines. That was a relief - I never worried about enforcing the rules.Ive done a number of home improvement projects. What I like about Rans team is their commitment to doing things correctly. Inevitably, issues come up. The difference is how theyre handled. Rans team didnt make excuses - instead, they got busy with a solution. Here is an example: the shower we bought had a manufacturing defect. The result is that the handle didnt divert correctly according to the markings. This was discovered only after it was installed and the drywall hung up. They could have shrugged their shoulders and said, sorry, this is not our fault. Instead, they opened up the wall, uninstalled it, and rerouted the piping to work around the defect. I was impressed.So you can trust Rans team and work with them. That is what you want in a contractor. If we are going to do another project, Ran will be the first person I call.

My home is stunning and the process was as easy as a huge remodel could possibly be. I gave Ran an impossible task. I asked him to complete a big job within 3 months and I wanted him to start immediately (as in the same week). Not only did Ran do an amazing job, he finished 3 weeks early. He’s always available, always pleasant and I didn’t ever have to worry about whether his guys were gonna show up. They did beautiful work and continue to be available for anything I need, even after the job is done. I just didn’t think you could find this kind of contractor in Los Angeles.

We recently completed a 400sq ft garage conversion plus added 100 sq ft of storage space. We are THRILLED with the results! The entire team is amazing -- Ran is so knowledgeable, patient, and excellent at solving the problems that inevitably crop up. Our site manager Jose was extremely responsive, responsible, and client-oriented, and Albert was great to work with on the administrative side, not to mention that all of the workers on the team who came every day and worked really hard to get the project completed in a timely way. The project was started in July and finished by early December -- we had been quoted by most contractors that it would take 6-9 months, and this took around 4.5 months and was done WELL.The teams communication with us was great the entire time. When issues came up, they made sure to discuss it with us and we made a plan together on how to proceed. It turned out that our drafters had made some major mistakes, and Ran and the team had great suggestions for how to address those mistakes and still have something we could be very happy with.We solicited several bids for the contract and met with several contractors. From our first meeting with Ran, we felt very comfortable - he came prepared to discuss the project in detail and to let us know the realities of what would be possible with our budget. We had been warned by everyone who has ever done a home renovation that surprise costs pop up. This did happen a couple of times for things that could not have been known until demo occurred, but Ran made an extraordinary effort to avoid additional costs except for ones that were completely unavoidable. His bid was in the middle of the bids we received, but I have no doubt that the lower bids would have wound up costing more due to not taking enough factors into account. This team is worth every penny.Also, the quality of the work and craftsmanship is excellent. The team is detail-oriented and wants to get it right. They never bristled when we pointed out tiny details that needed addressing, they just fixed it! The project turned out beautifully and I feel so happy every time I walk into the space.I could not be more thrilled with how this project has turned out. I would absolutely encourage anyone looking to do a construction project to reach out to this team. You wont be disappointed!

Ran and his team just finished a big project for me and I could not be happier with the results. My family and I used Ran to convert an existing garage/pool house into a one bedroom ADU with a full bath and kitchen. Ran is also very helpful with design ideas and had a great plan to maximize storage space in the kitchen and elsewhere.They estimated six months for the project and finished the whole thing in under five. A member of Ran’s team was here working on some aspect of the project every day, including Saturdays. I never had to ask “where is everyone” or “what is progressing.” It was obvious that things were moving along.I am thrilled with the finished product. It is well-executed and beautiful. Ran added a stunning master bathroom to our 1900s craftsman home. After working with and meeting several contractors, Ran was a revelation. He could not be more reliable, communicative, creatively enthusiastic and upfront about potential costs that may arise (they did not in our case as our joists ended up going the right way but we would have been prepared if need be). We started the job right before covid-19 with our first baby on the way and even though we were suddenly living in a different world with new restrictions every day, Ran still met our deadline while taking every precaution to make us feel safe during the pandemic. He and his team are trustworthy and, also, fun to be around. As you can see from the photos, Ran takes a lot of pride in his work. Well 1000% work with Ran again and have already recommended him to a bunch of our friends.
