Tim had the three qualities you want most in any contractor. He did it on time, on budget, and with high quality. We had an excellent experience with Tim. He was a clear communicator and did an excellent job. I appreciate his artistic eye in designing our board and batten staircase and I would have no trouble recommending him.

I asked for custom shelves to be built out of Cyprus wood, since it was the same wood used for a tall ship I used to crew. Not only is Cyprus a soft wood, it also is rot and water resistant, so finishing it is a difficult task. Tim was more than able to accomplish what I wanted and did it beautifully. Where he joined two planks, you can’t even feel that it’s two different pieces. I’m thankful for his work and I know my wife is even more so.

I hired Schuchardt Buildt to replace a back door, a more complicated than normal project as my house is very old and required special custom fitting. Result was beautiful. I am now recruiting him to do multiple other projects. Tim is easy to work with, has a natural confidence and ability that makes you trust that he will do things right-- but yet he also understands trade offs with the price of labor and materials and gives you your options-- I appreciate that!

Schuchardt Buildt did an awesome job removing a very dodgy bathroom subfloor and installing a new one in our antique home. The new floor is very level and doesnt creak! Plus what a great team to have around while the work was being done. Easy to work with.

We asked Tim to make us some shelves for our storage-deficient kitchen. We werent entirely sure what we were looking for, so Tim asked us good questions and helped us find the perfect wood and stain for our style, and his execution does not disappoint! We will be enjoying the benefits of Tims quality craftsmanship for years to come.
