    Im always a bit skeptical when a company has near perfect ratings, but after using Midwest Radon Im a believer. Every step of the process was flawless, from scheduling the estimate, the service date and most importantly the actual work. I had the pleasure of working with Carlton and Aydin, known as the dream team to do the installation. They were prompt, friendly and very efficient. They kept me informed of their progress during the job, left the work space spotless and explained how everything on the system works.     I had a radon mitigation system installed recently by Midwest. Mike visited the same day I called for help. He took time to explain his proposed solution and answer questions. He is super nice, patient and easy to communicate with. The second day, I received an itemized quote and onsite photos marked with the proposed radon mitigation system sketch. Carlton and Aydin were the technicians who installed the system. They are very polite, experienced and hardworking. They are also very well equipped and have an efficient way of organizing work. They finished the project in a timely manner, actually much faster than I had expected. Everything was clearly explained after the installation. Radon test proved the effectiveness of the system. I would recommend Midwest Radon Services for their reasonable price and neat work.

    Midwest Radon was awesome! Mike, who came out for the initial estimate explained everything very thoroughly and clearly. The guys who came out for the install were incredibly neat (they meticulously covered their pathway with a drop cloth and vacuumed afterwards, the pipes were installed beautifully and everything was explained during and after the install. They also sealed my sump pump and the perimeter with radon caulk. Highly recommend Midwest Radon! They exceeded my expectations!

    The whole experience start to finish of having a radon mitigation system by Midwest Radon Services was overall a very positive one. The two technicians, Carlton and Dave, arrived as scheduled and on time on the day of installation. They were very easy to work with and answered any questions or concerns I had. My home is over 90 yrs old so some things were an obstacle like the electrical and wiring for the system outside. But Carlton made an incredible clean electrical install where there were no unsightly wires or cables running outside and inside the house. They even repaired a light fixture for me which was a nice and much appreciated surprise. They took their time to answer any and all questions I had as well as fully explained how the system works after work was completed.     We had a great experience with Midwest Radon Services. To start off, after calling multiple companies, they were the only ones able to come out to our area in Lake County! From the moment I reached out they were very prompt and got a quote to me quickly. After looking it over I had several questions and they took the time to reach out and answer all of them. After agreeing the service was scheduled and thankfully the wait was not long. We have a little one on the way and wanted to get the system installed before our due date in February. They day of service the gentlemen working got straight to it and had their plan ready to go. They were respectful of us and our home. They went over the system with us and answered our questions. The system itself looks great and it’s pretty discreet on the side of the house. We were averaging levels from 5-7 and after the system we’ve been at an average of 0.3! What a change!     Bought a new house and radon tested above the limit of 4.0 pCi/L. Two day test was 6-7, friend lent me a sensor and over the course of 3 weeks it averaged 12 with peaks of 18 pCi/L. I was talking about it with a friend and he immediately recommended Midwest Radon Services because they were the only company out of three who were willing listen to his request regarding putting the radon remediation system out of sight inside his house rather than on the outside.Submitted an estimate request on the site and was called back quickly, Mike came out and was quite friendly, knowledgeable and eager to get the system put into place the way I wanted it. Wound up doing an outside pipe due to logistics and he assured me it would look great. Carlton and Glenn were the radon remediation system installers and they were courteous, professional and hard workers. System was installed quickly while checking in with me to make sure electric and piping were to my liking. After the install, they walked me through everything and explained how the alarm, shutoff, etc. worked.If any of my friends have a radon issue, I would be sure to recommend Midwest Radon Services! They surpassed my expectations in every way, including price, easy of scheduling and payment (nice online portal with text communication,) and professionalism.     My Radon levels were higher than I liked, so I contacted a couple companies to inquire about a radon mitigation system. Out of the three companies I contacted for a quote only Midwest Radon came out physically to discussed my options. The other two companies just gave a quote over the phone, which ended up to be higher.Mike, the gentleman that came out was very professional. Mike helped me design a system that I would be happy with, and that would work for my home.The day of install, I was contacted by the installers prior to their arrival. Upon arrival they went over in detail the plan of execution of the work to be done. However, we ran into some unforeseen issues so the original plan for my system had to be changed last min. Throughout the process Carlton and Dave were very helpful and honest with their professional opinion with my options, they were very patient and professional and answered all my questions. I never felt pressured to do anything or felt rushed. At the end, the new system actually cost me less than the original system because of less piping.The customer service I have received from this company is out of this world. I believe Midwest Radon genuinely wants to make sure people are safe and happy with their system. The respect the installers had for my property isn’t common.     Chuck was very nice to deal with and gave us the information we needed and a fair price. The guys came out and installed the system. They put a drop cloth on my basement stairs to protect them and I put some moving blankets down also. Unfortunately the place that lined them up with the outside gutter pieces didn’t give them the right ones so they had to come back. One of the guys tried to find one at a big box store but couldn’t. The good thing was they waited and got the matching pieces. He said he could’ve painted one from the store but it wouldn’t match as good as it should. The system works well and got the radon level below 1.

There was a minor issue after install and the team came back out and quickly resolved it. Before the system we had a radon test reading at 7 pCi/L - significantly above the 4.0 recommended by the CDC. Since the install we have had a reading of about 1.0.     Very competitively priced and professional. Carlton was sent out for the install, he went over the layout with me before they began working, I had a a concern, he changed the layout to accommodate that concern.     Thorough, patient, friendly, knowledgeable and best of all MRS saved me a lot of money! A survey of my home was conducted and because of the thorough investigation, MRS discovered that my home was very unusual by the fact that it has five separate foundations. This was an opportunity for someone to sell me five mitigation systems, but MRS was able to figure out a way to mitigate using only one system by using abandoned pipes from the old furnace. I would recommend MRS to anyone in need of mitigation services. If all tradesman were as pro as MRS, the world would be in a much better place! The installation was done nearly a year ago and all is still well. I never leave reviews, but Chuck more than earned this one.

    I highly recommend Chuck and his team. They did a great job with the installation. Their pricing also seems fair. They installed a system in my basement and then extended it with another suction point under my adjacent slab connected to the same fan. My basement ceiling is unfinished but painted. They dropped off the pipe for the 2nd suction beforehand so I could paint it myself to match the ceiling. The install looks great and I cant hear any noise through the pipes even though they are exposed. The pipe had to go across the length of my basement. Chuck also came over to help measure the levels before we decided the 2nd suction point was worth it. He has a mentality of doing the minimum that makes sense first and adding to the system as needed. He doesnt seem to try and over size or complicate the system to sell you anything you dont need. Chuck walked me through different options and explained some things multiple times over the phone and genuinely seemed happy to do so.

The most important part is that they fixed the main issue which my home and rental property had high levels of radon.     I worked with Chuck and the team over a year ago. Our houses radon was very high. We called Midwest Radon. They gave us a few different options for locations on the house, a quote, answered questions and was responsive with follow ups. A few days later they installed the system. The initial reading came back high, but without hesitation Chucks team came out, fixed the problem and our Radon reading has been .7 or lower for the entire year. The readings can fluctuate by season, but has never gone above 1. We also had the city inspector come out who was very impressed with the system and the installation. His exact words were these guys did a great job.

    I made the mistake of assuming that the active radon mitigation system in my new house was doing its job. I bought an Airthings Wave and found that not to be the case with basement radon levels of 17-34 pCi/L. Chuck worked me up a quick solution and estimate. Carlton and Dave came and did the work.     We recently purchased a home that had a radon issue that needed to be remediated. I had no idea whom to contact for help. I found 3 companies via Angies List. Company A looked at the MLS listing pictures for my home - they never came to my home - and based on the pictures they submitted a plan and a proposal. No thank you. Company B visited, but the rep only wanted to see the basement. He was not interested in looking at the 1st floor, 2nd floor or the homes exterior. The plan he submitted had the entire system venting near a second floor window. Pass. Enter Chuck from Midwest Radon (who by the way, answered first and visited the next day). He looked over the entire property - the basement, first floor, second floor and attic. Next, he went outside and looked at the homes exterior, particularly noting window placement in order to avoid venting issues. While outside, Chuck crawled inside the crawl space, only accessible through the exterior wall. Then he spoke to my husband and myself and went through his thought process and recommended a remediation plan. He answered our many questions since we had never dealt with radon issues in our previous home. We asked Chuck to do the work for us. A few days later, his team was on site. They were equally professional and knowledgable. They reviewed the sytem with me before leaving for the next job. In total, the 2 man team had everything installed in a few hours and they left the house clean. We vey much appreciated the great communication with Chuck during the whole process.
