    I can not speak highly enough about my experience with WNCIL. We recently went under contract on our new home, and hired WNCIL for inspections of our well, septic, water quality and radon. The inspectors were prompt, knowledgeable and professional. Reports were well documented and proved very useful in our negotiation with the sellers. Taylor was helpful in getting me the documentation we needed for negotiation purposes. We closed on the property and scheduled work to be done. We had some questions about the best and most effective solution for our well and drinking water issues, and James, the owner, was available to talk me through it. He asked if I was available and offered to come out and discuss my options with me in person. He came out and thoroughly educated me on our existing system and the best path forward for improvements. Meanwhile, Chad was en route with necessary materials to complete the job. Chad did an amazing job on the install (UV Light, Pump Protector and Monster Flow filter). He is incredibly knowledgeable and patiently explained things very well. Our system is working great, and we no longer have concerns about harmful bacteria in our drinking water.It is not often that I am impressed to this degree with the professionalism and the overall quality of workmanship of an organization. James, Chad and Taylor all get very high marks in my book. Highly recommended for anything having to do with wells, septic systems, drinking water and radon mitigation.

    Discovered a problem when taking a dog outside. Septic water flowing thru the yard. Was given the number for Wnc Independent Labs. I called around noon and they were able to.have a truck and tech at my house In Rosman with in three hours. System pumped and the culprit found. The effluent filter was clogged. All is well.     I had been having trouble for months with a sulfur smell from the well water that services my guest house. It was so bad that sheets came out of the washer smelling worse than when they went in. Plus, guests did not want to drink the tap water. I called WNCIL and agreed to pay $150 service call. I am so glad that I did! When Anthony arrived, he installed an aerator on my well, but more importantly, he noticed that the pressure tank in my basement was cutting on and off too quickly. He said the problem was that the bladder in the tank had burst, so the tank was full of water. It would have quickly burned up my pump that is 300 ft down in my well. Anthony was very knowledgeable and and careful. I appreciated the fact that he noticed that I had a bigger problem than the one I originally called about. In the end, I feel like I SAVED money.     I had a well issue after a big freeze, they sent out techs the next day their service fees were much lower than some other places I had called, they were super professional, explained everything in detail and performed the repairs quickly and affordably!     Terrific service! We had been trying for several months to find a service that could pump out our septic tank. Some candidates declined because, due to the tanks location, theyd need a booster pump but didnt have one. Other prospects said that while they had a booster pump, theyd have to charge an exhorbitant fee to perform the work. I called WNC Independent Labs after we encountered them, a few days earlier, performing the same function for a neighbor who was very pleased. They came out the very same day, took care of our tank quickly and charged a very reasonable fee. In short, they are very responsive, do quality work and price their service fairly. I recommend them highly!

    Our septic backed up into our toilets and showers. I called everywhere trying to find someone to pump it out. Even our local companies would not do it. I was referred to James and called him. His schedule was full but he made time for us and came all the way to Polk County to pump out our tank. James and his crew were polite and professional and quick! They explained what caused the back up and what to do in the future to help take of our tank and prevent future back ups. His prices were more then fair and even a little less then what he quoted me on the phone. I highly recommend him and plan on using him for any future pump outs and problems that might happen.

    I am not one to leave a review, and am not even located in NC, but these guys are so good they helped me from Texas! James Butler on his Tiktok educated myself and my family on making sure that the company we use should have a sludge jug before they come out to save us money so the other companies do not just take our money.     I had WNC come out and pump my septic tank. They were able to schedule me for the next day (they could have done it after-hours the same day, but there was an extra charge associated with that), where as no other company could schedule me for a week. I called around and their prices were very fair, unlike a different company you might know all about.Taylor and Elijah were friendly and professional. My septic is quite old and Taylor gave me good information on what will likely need to be done to the system in the future. As I will likely be needing septic service again, I will definitely call WNC Independent Labs to do the job.

    James is a Marine--different war, but same as me. He is honest, intelligent, (I dont claim to be intelligent), helpful to the point of going the extra mile; he inspected my well and septic and offered to come show me how the water system in my house works. He showed up to the minute (Marines are never late, unless overwhelmed by vast hostile forces), and spent time explaining the operation of the water treatment system in the house I just bought in Sylva. James was kind enough to explain some things about the area that are likely to prevent me from having some problems. Hes first rate, and my bet is that his employees reflect his quality.

    We had to get our well water checked out recently because of some suspected corrosives. We got a complete report from WNCIL in 2 days. I called the lab for clarification and they talked to me for about 20 minutes, carefully answering my questions. The only bad news: coliform bacteria was present.I arranged for them to do the well chlorination. Although they did insist it needed to be done, they did not pressure for me to use them to do so. They came out a week later and did the chlorination. The techs were great guys and clearly knew their stuff.The office staff and the techs were friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I will definitely use them again.

I am in the middle of a remodel in an extremely high end home and the sewer pump failed over the weekend and allowed a good bit of the main sanitary system to fill with water from a bad toilet flapper. I could not work on the pump untill we got the system pumped out first and nobody else would take the call. Not only did Chris fix the problem we were having he made sure the house was completely protected from the hoses he had to bring in the house by using drop cloths and double checking every connection for drips before he started pumping out the waste water. Thank You Chris and to James for allowing him to do it, No other company would even come out to look at.

    I cant recommend WNC Independent Labs enough! I called to schedule a septic pump and was scheduled promptly. The team that showed up was knowledgeable, efficient, respectful, and took time to educate me on the system. They went above and beyond to troubleshoot problems, educate me on how the system works, and possible issues that may arise in the future if not dealt with now. At my request, they also took a water sample while they were here for the pump to run tests. Absolutely great experience with this business! Highly recommend.Edit to add: We had evidence of further septic issues and contacted WNC Independent Labs again for assistance. They completed a thorough inspection, looked at all possible scenarios, and found the issue quickly. They were able to do a relatively small, inexpensive repair due to their thoroughness. I feel confident saying most other companies would have recommended a much more costly solution and would not have found the real underlying issue. Thanks to James and his team for saving us time and money! They were all efficient, knowledgeable, thorough, and even entertained our small boy who was fascinated by their trucks and equipment.
