I recently had a 14kw standby generator installed by Ideal Electric. The work crew consisted of Rick (owner of the company) and Trace. I could not be happier with the service that I received. A five star rating doesn’t do it justice. I would give 10 if I could!! While tying into the main panel Rick noticed that the panel needed quite a bit of attention so he basically re-wired the entire panel. He also noticed that my sub-panel was in worse condition than my main panel and noticed that I had a new panel staged that I had planned on installing in the near future. Rick asked Trace to install the new sub-panel and did not charge me. The installation required approximately 120’ of cables to be run between the generator and the transfer switch through my partially finished basement and the work was done with such care that you can barely notice that they had installed it. After the installation was completed then instructed me how to run and maintain my new equipment. I would like to thank Ideal Electric so much and would HIGHLY recommend them. And O by the way, I received 4 estimates and they offered the lowest price!!

I called Ideal Electric on a Monday because I had a major issue with the outside electric box giving me power to my home was bad, (CMP was going to shut my power off if I did not get it fixed in one week) Ideal Electric was out to my house that afternoon and had the problem fixed two days later. Rick went above and beyond to help me out and I cant thank him enough. This company is outstanding and professional from the office to the site workers.

Once I got all my information of what I needed done to Rick , the guys arrived when they said they would and got the job done quicker than expected with no issues . Wesley and Trace did great work and were very courteous and professional both around our workers and our customers . Will 10 out of 10 recommend

In todays world of quick-buck, fast talking shysters, its difficult for the typical consumer of ANY product or service to know they are getting the most effective return on their hard earned dollar. Ideal Electric is certainly does NOT fall into that category in my opinion. As a home owner, you only know what you know and if youre not the jack-of-all-trades type, youre at the mercy of the experts you hire to build or fix the things you dont know how to. Weve been with Ideal Electric since my wife and I first hired them to rewire our entire apartment building, moving from the antiquated knob and tube to a more modern service. That was 20 years ago and weve never even considered any other company when it came to our electricity needs. Over the years theyve done several projects for us and weve never experienced anything other prompt service before, during and after the job, more than reasonable prices, and top notch work. I could continue an endless list of accolades but it all boils down to the same thing...if you need the service of an electrician for whatever reason - from generator service to the wiring or re-wiring of an entire house, theres one company to call and its IDEAL ELECTRIC!Gary and Michelle DugalWinslow, Maine
