    Normally not a review-type person but in this case it is warranted. I have recently found myself a single owner of an older home that needs a lot of work. Replacing the entire roof isnt yet in the budget but I engaged Skip to repair parts of the roof and siding that cant wait. He was professional, respectful of my budget and timeline, and didnt try to upsell me. He gave me the pros and cons and took the time to explain next steps.Ill definitely be using Cape Cod Roofing & Siding to replace my roof and siding in the near future!

Skip Schiappa, the owner, responded to my request for a quote immediately, and he answered my questions and was responsive throughout the process.     PART 2) Here it is. I had a home I knew not how to take care of. I interviewed nothing but strangers/contractors in order to choose one to spend what little money I had access to. I was petrified of getting screwed. Out of those I met with, I found the ideas of home improvement by Skip of Cape Cod Roofing & Siding well beyond that envisioned by others. Skip was bluntly straight forward with me while outlining what he would do to my house if it were his. Truth be told, he lost me on some of his ideas. However, I found nobody elses vibe more secure, confident or trustworthy. In the end, he and his company nailed it, no pun intended. I come home every day and just love my home. So Skip, get ready to receive another call from me! PS: I checked his FACEBOOK page Cape Cod Roofing & Siding and there, dated, is my home. I didnt make his website postings, but by the looks of all his projects since mine, he has proudly posted my home in good company on his company Facebook page.Thank you Skip for everything.     Cape Cod Roofing and Siding replaced the roof on our church in 2009. There was a bad dye lot mixed into a very large roof, so you could see a color variation. Skip worked with me to stay on top of the manufacturer for 12 years until the manufacturer finally followed through and authorized replacing the affected portion at no cost to us. We appreciate the tenacity to see the warranty issue through.

    Excellent work!Skip and his worker did a great job for my Mother’s homeMy Mother installed solar panels 2 years ago on her south facing roof. The solar company used a subcontractor from New Bedford. Within a year I found a leak in the brand new roof from the solar panel installation. I contacted the solar company and and were unable to locate the subcontractor that they had originally used for the negligent installation. I called several local roofing companies to make repairs ...(and by several I mean 6). Not only is Skip, the owner Cape Cod Roofing, the ONLY contractor to get back to me, but he spoke to me at length to ascertain the exact nature of the problem. He made me realize it wasnt uncommon for leaks to occur from solar panel installation. In essence, he calmed my nervesHe arrived at the house giving us about a week notice so we could meet him there. He used my input to figure out exactly where the leak was, as well as other potential problems with initial installation. He found several areas of concern including poorly secured brackets and broken roofing shingles...(exactly where the leak was occurring). Skip took pictures throughout the process so I could have the necessary documentation to file the claim with the solar company.He sealed the roof, made the necessary repairs...and the GREAT news: its been torrential rain for the past 24 hours....and there are NO LEAKS!Skip and his worker were very professional and easy to work withIm very happy with the repairI would use them againI have already given 2 neighbors a heads up about this good local company

I have received several praises on the roof work from neighbors and friends. As you know, a roof is a big investment. I can say it was well worth with the end product.

    Skip does great work !! Put a metal roof on my 200 hundred year old farmhouse.. love it 😍 the man is a perfectionist .. changed the cap because he didn’t think what they sent was up to his standards no extra charge.. true master of his craft .. thanks buddy still getting compliments on my roof ..highly recommended this man

    I want to thank Skip and his wonderful crew for doing the roof on my home. It came out perfect. I could not be happier. His crew worked so hard, they had the old roof removed in a day, and the new roof installed the next day. I came home to a new roof and a yard that looked like it had the spring cleanup. Thanks for doing such a great job!!

    Extremely professional. I have dealt with a lot of bad roofers and this company is at the top of the game. Responsive in terms of a quote, was able to do within a week, constant updates as we were not there , pictures to show how it looked. When we later got to the house a week after the job, it was clear that the installation was perfect and the. Cleanup was spotless. Highly recommend them.     Very pleased with the entire roof experience! Skip answered the phone and took time to chat about our issues. He was at a roofing convention and said he would be back next week and would stop by and have a look at our small rubber roof that needed replacing. He texted me the next week after he had a look at the roof. Then emailed me an estimate and a contract. We moved forward pretty quickly- Skip called and said his team would be in town and could be at our house first thing. Nice crew showed up and done! Skip called and we discussed the job a bit, he said to call him any time if we have any issues or questions. He shared info on a roof lichen/moss issue that we are dealing with – he shared helpful information. Pleasant guy, only problem is he didn’t have more time to chit chat!Very appreciative for this man and his service!

Above all, Skip designed and hand crafted the copper shingles on a cupola that is the focal point of the house. The craftsmanship and detail were beyond anything I expected and have added significant value to my home. I truly appreciate Skip’s professionalism and his pride of workmanship.
