    I recently had Mendez Landscaping do a refresh of my front yard shrubs and landscaping. Iā€™d already hired them to paint my home as Iā€™ve seen the quality work they do. Shrubs needed to be removed (there 20+ years) and flowers beds cleaned & mulched. They did a great job & done in one day! As a bonus they cleaned up my front walkway!! The house looks so much better!! I would recommend hiring them for any landscaping jobs you are considering. Great work at a competitive price!! Also, as expected the paint job was stellar. Best one weā€™ve gotten done in our 26 years here. Carpentry work also well done. House looks so much better! Here are before/after pics

    Florentino and his crew at Mendez Painters did a phenomenal job painting our house. We are so happy with the results. All phasesof the process were handled professionally and with open communication. They arrived when promised and were very detail oriented during prep and painting stages. Mendez also did a great job replacing some trim boards and adding some additional trim plates behind our exterior lights.     Mendez painting was great!! Quick response to my request for an estimate. Crew was friendly, very well organized, coordinated and cleaned up each day. I took pictures of wood that needed to be replaced, and all was repaired. They scrapped like crazy before they started painting. They used high quality paint and the job came out amazing. We live in a historic house built in 1900 and they took great care in their work. They were by far the best price. Small business owner with a fair price. I have a sign in my front yard and will be happy to refer anybody to Mendez painting.     Summer 2023 - Mendez Team painted our 1860 era house that has various additions. There are several colors and different substrates (some with hardy plank and some very old vinyl siding) and they blended it all to look magnificent! People cant believe some of it is old vinyl siding! The end job was very neat, didnt have any spills or over-splatters. Team of people very polite and talented at their job. Were having them come back now for some interior work. Ill post more when that is complete.Woburn, MA

    Mendez Painters performed exceptional work in painting the full exterior of our home. We could not be happier that we were lucky enough to find them in our extensive search for a local company that could provide excellent quality work at a fair price!!They were quickly responsive to our request for a quote and were not at all pushy as we took the time to compare prices. They then scheduled the job in a timely manner and could not have been more pleasant to deal with regarding logistics.Once the job began, Florentine and his crew were INCREDIBLY meticulous, thorough, well prepared, clean, and respectful during the entire few days we had the pleasure of working with them. Their diligence in ensuring every aspect of the project was done the right way was evident not only in the finished product, but in their manner of work throughout.We knew our house required some extensive trim repairs and Florentine was excellent about communicating his expert recommendations to get the repairs done correctly without adding cost outside of what we were comfortable with.Upon completion, he walked the exterior of the house with us multiple times to point out all areas of repair and ensure we didnā€™t see any issues with the paint. A few days later (and with more sun) we noticed a small, difficult to see/high up area of trim in need of a bit more paint.     Mendez Painters painted the exterior of our house in April 2024. We are very happy with their work. We wanted to find a painting company that would do a good job on our older house (built in 1858) and the decorative woodwork features, as well as addressing the small repairs to shingles and woodwork, filling cracks and gaps, etc. The Mendez team was easy to work with, listened and responded to our questions/requests throughout the project, and paid excellent attention to detail.     I am from Melrose MA. Iā€™ve known about Mendez Painters for a long time from my neighbors who highly recommended them. Mendez Painters did a great job prepping my house for paint as well as making helpful recommendations and doing very careful and detailed work. I have an old Victorian with many details that they were careful to paint cleanly. They also committed to a tight timeframe for me and arrived early and worked late to finish ahead of schedule.     Florentin Mendez was extremely responsive in creating a bid, understanding what we were trying to do, and was also very patient with us as we navigated the color process. He and his crew are very skilled crafts people who took the time to do the job correctly; replacing rotting clapboards, letting the house dry out thoroughly btwn power washing, priming, and painting, and attending to our requests as questions arose. Our 1850s house looks fantastic and I would HIGHLY recommend working with Florentin and his kind and experienced team.

    Florentin and his team recently scraped, skim coated, primed, and painted a peeling plaster ceiling in my house, and Iā€™m very happy with the result.     Seeing is believing. I noticed Mendez painting working on a house down the street from me a few months ago. I was impressed by how thorough they prepped and prepared. Each day the crew worked diligently on the home and the final result was very professional .So when I was looking to get my trim scrapped, primed and painted I reached out them. They gave me a fair quote and were eager to get started. Again the most significant portion of their time was spent prepping and preparing. When it was realized one of the windows would need some additional carpentry work they were transparent about it and that there would be a minor additional cost for understandably needing to perform a little bit of additional work. The job was done in the exact time that was promised and the results speak for itself. If you are looking for a fair priced, professional, no corners cut exterior painting I highly recommend reaching out to Mendez Painting.

The job involved sanding, priming and painting dark wood trims, cabinets and walls throughout the apartment.     Mendez Painters painted our property in Cambridge, MA recently. Florentine and his crew are very experienced and did a great job painting the exterior trim and body of our multi-family property. They followed the proper method of preparing(scraping, sanding, power washing), then priming and painting the home. They also replaced several boards of trim and siding that were rotting. Both painting and carpentry services were of a high quality. The price was very competitive. Overall probably the best value/quality painting crew I have worked with and we have been in property management business for several years. Would definitely recommend them without hesitation.

    They removed a lot more old paint than expected. The oil primer, caulk, and latex paint they supplied were all top quality. The crew was nice, and very hard-working. The owner was easy to get on the phone, and on site at the start of every day.Although a formal contract may be too much to expect, the owner honored emails and texts. Reasonable start/end dates would be wise to nail down, and clearly define where body and trim colors are expected.

    Florentino and his team did an outstanding job refreshing the look of our 1901 home, which took real care and attention. Florentino explained the process from start to finish. The crew did a great job scraping and preparing the house. His carpenters did great work in replacing and repairing loose sills, shingles, and stairs. And the final paint job, including all the trim, shutters, porch railings, bulkhead, etc. came out terrific. He uses oil-based primers and only the highest quality paints, so weā€™ll be able to enjoy this paint job for years to come!

    Great painters! They did two interior rooms for us (one that had wallpaper to be removed) at a great price, with very quick turnaround time. Definitely amazing value for the work they do. They showed up right on time and worked very quickly all day. Finished 2 rooms, one with wallpaper that had to be taken down, in a day and a half. Last week we reached back out to get a quote to paint three rooms and a hallway.     Mendez and team did an incredible job restoring our old home and I strongly recommend giving them an opportunity.There was obvious pride in their craft and they went the extra mile to do the job right.The key to a good paint job is preparation and they went above and beyond in the prep work. The existing paint was peeling and Mendezā€™s team scrapped the majority of our clapboards down to the wood to make sure the new coats went on properly.From the beginning to the end they were transparent and professional.Two year follow up:I was looking at my house the other day and it struck me, two years after Mendez and crew finished, that the paint still looks fantastic!Our house had a chronic pealing issue and their team fixed it.     Mendez Painters just finished painting our interior in Arlington after our reno. Their team was highly professional, clean and thorough. They did an amazing job sanding and preparing all areas before painting. I was nervous when the floors had just been finished and the baseboards needed to be painted. I can honestly say not one drop of paint landed on those floors. Florentino and his crew know what they are doing. Once the final coat dried there were one or two areas that needed minor touch ups.     My wife and I recently hired Mendez Painters for the exterior of our house, and we are so glad that we did! From the beginning of the process to the end, Florentino Mendez and his team were excellent in every way a homeowner could want from professional housepainters.Mendez Painters came to our attention when we saw a house in our neighborhood with so much of its exterior shingles sanded so thoroughly, youā€™d guess they were new. We noted the ā€œMendez Paintersā€ name on the sign and checked out his reviews. As they were overwhelmingly positive and complimentary, we called Florentino for an estimate. He came to the house the same day we called, described his teamā€™s thorough process and steps, and gave us a very fair, competitive quote which we accepted. The result is exceptional.The ā€œMendezā€ team properly prepped the worksite and covered the landscaping around the house with tarps. They then machine scraped all of the shingle siding and wood trim of our 2-story house (much of it down to the bare wood), and power washed it that first day. After our shingles and woodwork dried out, they returned to apply a full coat of oil-based primer, and after the primer dried, they sponge-sanded everything until it was smooth. They then caulked where needed and finally applied two coats of high-quality latex paint. Mendez Painters painted our house and garage doors, stained our pergola, and itā€™s beautiful! We were extremely pleased with how professional and accommodating Florentino and his team were, and we are thrilled with their work. We highly recommend Mendez Painters!

    Florentino and his team were wonderful to work with, and did a beautiful job painting our house. It was a relatively small job in that they were painting our window trim and door frames, but we have a lot of windows and they were in desperate need of a paint job. They were incredibly fast, finishing everything in one day for an affordable cost. There were a couple of small retouches that were necessary, and Florentino was responsive and returned the next day to fix the issue. Also, we had been intending to paint our handrail ourselves because it was rusting, but Florentino pointed out that they could also do the handrail in the same day which we happily agreed to (and it looks beautiful!).     Mendez painters are amazing! We first used them to paint the outside of our house, and they did a beautiful job. We then learned they are capable of so much more! They are currently helping us renovate our entire third floor (two bedrooms, and a bath) they repaired walls for us, painted them, ripped up carpet and also installed all new things in the bathroom. They are excellent at painting but also tiling as well. They put brand new tiles down in the bathroom and cabinets. They do way more then just painting and offered us a very fair price. We hired them do two small jobs-to touch up a section of our house that was peeling from sun and our front porch and railing.     We became interested in Mendez Painters when we saw the work that they had done to other houses in our city. Of note was the way that they strip paint down, focus on the detail work and trim, and produce a finished product that makes an old building look like new.The last time we had our house painted (9 years ago), the owner promised the moon but did not deliver ā€” he only had a couple of guys working on our house for a short period of time ā€” and he would drop by to pressure them to finish more quickly. In contrast, Florentino provided a crew of 6+ guys to work on our house, including stripping the paint, power washing, prepping, caulking, carpentry, repairing/replacing wood or shingles as needed, and then doing the final painting. Florentino was on site every day, either overseeing and managing the work, or pitching in himself.     Our house hadnā€™t been painted in at least 10 years and we started envisioning what our yellow 1872 colonial in Melrose would look like with a new paint job. The yellow on our house was in decent shape but the white trim was flaking off down to the bare wood. The front of our house was also somewhat of a neighborhood ā€œeyesoreā€ due to significant squirrel damage on the upper left boxed-eave return (see pics). Coincidentally, we started noticing ā€œMendez Painters Incā€ signs all over Melrose and we were intrigued because the paint jobs on the houses looked absolutely beautiful! After reading nothing but great views of Mendez Painters Inc online, we decided to give the company a call. We spoke to Florentin Mendez (owner) who ended up coming over to our house the same day to give us an estimate. Florentin was extremely professional and transparent in explaining his processes for both the paint and carpentry work we wanted done. When he looked at the squirrel damage, he explained the best way to fix it and assured us that he would do an excellent job. After the game plan was discussed, Florentin gave us a fair price that we agreed to on the spot and gave him a deposit. That night, he texted us a detailed message listing out the work we agreed upon with the price so that everything was in writing. The next day he showed up with his team and they spent the whole day scraping the white trim and parts of the yellow siding that did not meet their standards. After that, they spent a few days replacing rotted trim and clapboard, priming all of the wood they scraped and fixing the squirrel damage in the front. I watched them remove all of the damaged wood, rebuild a support structure underneath, and then install new wood that fit perfectly and matched the existing wood on the house. One piece they replaced was a detailed strip of crown molding that is no longer made, but they improvised and created an exact match on their own. After this they caulked the seams and filled the screw holes to give the job a professionally finished appearance. Other carpentry work they did involved piecing out missing fascia & clapboards above a window on the back of our house (see pic) and fixing a small hole (squirrels!) on the back of our garage. Before painting, they sanded the entire house smooth, then power washed and let air dry for a couple days, came back, caulked all the seams/gaps and then covered all the windows and doors. They spent 2-3 days spray painting 2 coats of white on the trim and 2 coats of yellow on the siding. While they were painting, Florentin showed me the Benjamin Moore paint he was using so that I knew we were getting the paint we paid extra for. Once they were finished, we were so impressed with how the house/garage looked that we decided to have them paint everything else on our property. Fortunately, Florentin was very accommodating and made this happen! They painted the front porch, back deck, house backdoor, garage doors, bulkhead, and fences all around the property. The fences were in rough shape and needed to be power washed, scraped, sanded, primed, and painted 2 coats on both sides. When all the paint work was finally done, our house looked like a palace, everything was ā€œbrand newā€ and you would think our 1872 house was built in 2020. The only thing left to do was install new gutter downspouts, which I ended up getting from Home Depot after the painters left and was going to do myself, but Florentin came back on his own and helped me! Honestly, if you are looking for painters who do quality work, who donā€™t take shortcuts, and who care about the littlest of details, do yourself a favor and hire this company. Florentin and his team are exceptional workers who strive to exceed your expectations and make you an incredibly happy customer. These guys are extremely professional, punctual, hardworking, neat, clean, and respectful, and I highly recommend choosing Mendez Painters Inc to paint your house because they will make it look better than it ever did!

    Mendez painters did a phenomenal job painting the exterior of our home and garage. And they were easy to work with. I will definitely use them again for all future painting needs.Their approach to prepping the house exceeded our expectations. Our home is about 100 years old. They scrapped and ground the house and garage down, in many places bare. They were very careful with our property. They covered the ground with tarps to catch the chips. To prep for painting, they power washed our entire house including the gutters. They covered all of our windows with plastic (which we appreciated because we had just replaced the windows last summer) before doing a full even coat primer. They did a special treatment on the north side of the house to combat mildew and mold. And then did a beautiful finish coat.We felt like their pricing was more than fair, and from quote through final clean up we enjoyed working with them.

    Great work! Very responsive, managed to squeeze in priming a shed before the cold weather hit. They returned in the spring to finish and it looks great. Theyre very thorough, sanded and patched all holes, a full coat of primer (not just spot priming), and then the finish coat and trim. I also needed to add a little work and they accommodated. Easy to work with, highly recommended!

    Mendez Painters did an astonishing job on my home in Marblehead. Their price was extremely reasonable, and they went above and beyond on the details. The whole house was scraped, caulked, and painted. They focused on the details (like my antique windows) to make sure everything was done right.They also repaired or replaced all my antique gutters that had seen better days.The price was the price they quoted. They started when they told me they would. (and it was just a couple weeks). And they took as much time as needed to make sure the job was done right.Communication, through email and text, was easy.I could not recommend them highly enough.

    Our house needed a lot of scraping and sanding. They took the time to do it right. Did a great job on the house and both decks. 3 coats so Im sure it will last. They even cleaned my gutters while they were up there. Good price too. Highly recommend.

    We used them to paint my moms house, and they did a great job! They were very easy to work with, they showed up on time and on the days they said they would. They were great with my mom when she couldnā€™t decide on a paint color. They actually painted one side of our garage so she could see how it would look. They spent many days prepping the house for the paint job and also replaced some trim that had rotted. Overall we would highly recommend them.

    I am so happy with the work Mendez Painters did on my home! Even with our horrible weather they were able to finish quickly and were so professional! They sanded down everything, primed and painted with 2 coats of high quality paint. The price was more than reasonable and he was able to Give me a quite on the spot! I would definitely recommend Mendez painters and plan to use them again in the spring to do my deck.

    Florentin was great. He painted the exterior of my house and did a fantastic job. He was the 5th contractor that I dealt with and he was by far the best one. He was very responsive and gave me a great price on the house. He did a great job scraping and priming the exterior. He is all about the details and it showed. My house looks great.     We were very pleased with the work that was done on our house. We had our exterior painted on our Victorian home. Florentino was easy to work with and accommodating to our schedule. His workers were pleasant and always cleaned up after the day of work. We actually decided on another color and Florentino said it was no issue. They scraped , power washed and used oil primer and top quality materials.

    Florentino and his crew did a great job. Our house was badly in need of a new paint job, and they were able to schedule us right away. They spent the first day cleaning and prepping the house, the 2nd day on trim, the 3rd day they painted our whole triple deck and then just did touchups on day 4. They were quick, friendly and the house looks great.If you want to replace your shingles with the same exact style be sure to specifically mention this to him early in the conversation or even better offer to buy the replacement shingles for him to use ahead of time.Thanks again Mendez painters!     Florintino and his crew did an ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS job on our house! Our house looks NEW!!The secret in any paint job is not the final product but the prep. Scraping the old paint off before applying the new coats. THIS is where Mendez Painters excel and FAR exceed others. They scraped and sanded our wooden clapboard siding down almost to bare bone. NO ONE had every done it to that level before!For a fair and reasonable price, we got top shelf work from a dedicated, hardworking crew. Florintino and his crew put in long days to get the job done within an acceptable timeframe.They also pay careful attention to detail. The crew takes great care to mask and cover doors and windows before spraying the paint.Florintino and his crew made the exterior of our house and garage look new.
