    I waited a while before posting this review.You can’t go wrong with Mackin and Sons. They will take care of you. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable people. Not to mention they quoted me literally half the price that the other guys did and provided what I believe to be a better product and better services. We needed a new well pressure pump fast and we needed a new tankless water heater. They worked with my schedule and did a fantastic job. 👍 👍

    Nick was great! Communication and professionalism was on point. It was a little bit of a tricky job installing a new pressure reducing valve in closet but he handled it no problem. Would recommend him and his company to anyone needing services in the Wadsworth area.

    Anthony of Macklin and Sons Plumbing has replaced all our copper with Pex and now we have manifolds to isolate individual fittings, a new well pressure tank and switch and a lot less leaky copper joints. Great work, fair price!Also Reverse Osmosis repair and tank replacement - quick and professional service!

    Kristian installed 2 outdoor frost-free faucets today. He is very efficient and timely with installation and is a very friendly knowledgeable person. All estimates of the work were presented when he arrived. I would recommend Mackin & Sons for any plumbing job.

    Have used Mackin & Sons in the past for house issues but chose them to replace our water heater to a tankless heater. Install was great. On time, laid down floor protectors, made sure the door was shut for our toddlers, and end product was clean (see picture below).

    After our hot water heater broke in the middle of the night, We’ve used Mackin Plumbing in the past and we’re happy with their service so we gave them a call. Anthony was able to make it out the next morning. We decided to replace the broken tank with a tankless gas water heater. Anthony got the heater installed and working within a few hours. Great service as usual!

    Its two days before Christmas and one of our toilets was broken (toilet flush valve). I drove to the local hardware store, got the part, and headed home only to find out the tank has to come off the toilet and other parts need to be replaced. So I called Mackin & Sons because what is easy for them is going to be time-consuming for me. Less than 2 hours later, the technician (Nick - very courteous and competent) is leaving and the toilet is fixed. I appreciate the quick response and a job well done!

    Kristian and Thomas installed a new well pressure tank fatter ours started failing. They were informative about the work, clean while they worked, and quick (even with my curious kids chatting them up). They got the job done the very next day after we called for an estimate. They also installed a propane tankless water heater to replace the old, inefficient electric one. Will add photos of that beauty when our new propane tank arrives (poor planning on our part!) and they’re able to finish hooking it all up! Work looks great and pricing was very reasonable. We’re also looking forward to future benefits of their members program.

    Found this local, family owned company in town two years ago. Needed a new hot water tank. They came in $500 below company Id been working with. Recently had my second annual inspection under one of their service plans. Anthony completed the inspection, drained the tank, and reviewed the homes other plumbing items. I now have a complete summary and pricing of things to either repair, place, or upgrade as I see fit. Home was left neat and tidy as it was prior to their service. If you need plumbing work done, definitely stop by and talk these folks. I think youll be impressed and give them an opportunity to earn your business.

    Our 18 year old hot water tank gas valve died and we had Christian out the next day to provide a quote on repair or replacement options. Christian was very helpful answering our questions about the various options and we ended up opting to replace with a new tankless system rather than put more money into such an old water tank that might fail at any time.The following day, Nick and Thomas installed a Navien tankless system, answered my questions, and left the area clean and neat when they were done. Very happy with the prompt service and to have hot water again!

    Excellent communications, Excellent quality of work, very timely, great pricing, cleaned up everything when finished. What more can I say? I would definitely recommend them.I had them install a pair of electric water heaters in my house. One is tied to my desuperheater from my geothermal system as a preheater and isnt hooked to electricity. This feeds the second heater that is hooked to electricity to bring the temperature up the rest of the way.I had several plumbers look at this job. One wasnt interested in the job, another had a price that was almost $2k more expensive.These guys were familiar with what I wanted and tackled the job the same day they came to look at it.

    Our water heater went out. I called these guys and they were actually able to come out and replace it the same day!     One of the main things that factored into the 5 star review was/is the fact that flushing the hot water heater on the first visit ended up down the line creating problems with the dishwasher.The Macklin team came back and fixed the problem quickly and with no hassle!     Mackin & Sons Plumbing was new to me in late summer of 2023. We didnt have a plumbing contractor at the time, since our previous, very knowledgeable one, had retired. I found Mackin through some research online.The nine-year-old toilet in one of our two bathrooms had begun leaking internally (apparently leaking around the flapper inside the tank). We had Mackin Plumbing fix it, or try to. Unfortunately, the toilet continued leaking even after two service calls and the replacing of flapper gaskets and other adjustments.The owner of the plumbing company, Mike Mackin, was always polite and cooperative during my calls and VMs during this time. He also proved to be very knowledgeable.Mike came to our home and attempted another repair of this toilet himself, a third fix, with a different type gasket. But, he didnt have faith that this change would hold up. While I was there with him, he called American Standard, the equipments manufacturer, and explained the situation to a tech. The tech said that there had been issues with the internal flushing mechanism and gaskets of those models of toilets, and that A-S created new style parts as a replacement kit to solve the problem. Better, American Standard would send the kit at no charge as a goodwill gesture. And best, Mike Mackin said that since wed already paid to have the de-leaking done, hed have the new repair kit installed at no extra charge (even tho the work would be more involved). GREAT!Then I got on the phone with the American Standard rep and explained that both of our bathrooms had been remodeled 9 years ago, with identical toilets installed. So, would they send us TWO of the new kits (we hadnt had any trouble with the second bathroom yet). A-S sent both kits and Mackin Plumbing installed that second repair kit for us, not for free of course, but at what I thought was a very reasonable price.In summary, my experience with Mackin & Sons Plumbing was extremely positive. This company is very well run, with knowledgeable, professional ownership and employees. The firm stood behind its work 100%, they followed up on all calls, texts and VMs, and their prices were fair.     We have used Mackin & Sons for various plumbing issues at our business and we have continued to use them because they are professional, their workers are knowledgeable and they charge a fair rate for the work they do. We had a kitchen and bathroom faucet replaced yesterday and while they were checking to make sure we had both hot and cold water they realized the hot water was not working. They checked our water tank in the basement and realized it was leaking profusely and about to burst. They were able to stay and replace the water tank as well! They saved us from a huge maintenance emergency by preventing any further water damage. I not only use Mackin & Sons for our professional business but I also trust them to do work for my personal home as well.     I have to say I was extremely impressed from my initial phone call to the completion of my plumbing repair! I have used a larger plumbing company in Barberton before, but always felt like I was being taken advantage of. Mackin & Sons customer service is outstanding. Christian the service agent was on time, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Extremely pleased with the work! The only plumber I will call in the future!8/30/23 - Update. Had Mackin & Sons out to my home four more times. Yesterday, just before leaving for vacation, the hot water tank started leaking! Called and Mike was very prompt about getting me scheduled ASAP. Anthony, like all Mike’s other plumbers was polite professional &knowledgeable. Exceptional plumbing company!!

    I was out of town and needed a plumber for shower faucet and toilet leak repairs. I called Mackin, told him the problems and what I needed. He took care of everything including contacting Water Dept to shut water off prior to doing the repairs. The final charges were just what he said in his proposal. I would highly recommend Mackin.
