    John Holloway was very helpful from the beginning until the job was complete. He made sure we were involved with the whole process and that the pricing was fair and affordable. His assistant Nikki was just as great in helping us complete the loose ends leading up to the job. Once the sump pump and drainage system was installed, they checked on us to make sure it was working properly and that we were happy with the results. When the workers were finished installing the pump and drainage system, they were informative and cleaned up the mess they made outside and inside the garage. I can’t say enough good things about our experience. Thank you John and his team.

    This company is the epitome of excellence. I hired JES to install engineered push piers for our slab. Prior to the work being done our entire upstairs would squeak no matter how softly you’d step. After they completed, the squeaky floor subsided by 80/90%We also had them use polyurethane foam to stabilize additional areas of our slab and driveway! The driveway wasn’t bad, but there’s a noticeable improvement.Where me and my husband were really impressed was by the production crew. They were extremely buttoned up, timely, and extremely considerate. They even managed to allow my kids to nap without disturbing them! How they did that is beyond me.The crew leaders- Greg Shock and Luis Carranza communicated through every step of the process and insured that we were 100% satisfied with the project prior to even asking for a final payment..When it comes to home services, this company is truly a class act and a clear level above other companies in their field.Not only was excellent work done, but it is also warrantied for life . JES will be the only contractor I call going forward for my foundation needs.

    I had an extra support beam on jacks installed in my crawlspace to support a sagging and bouncy first floor. Price was a little higher than other estimates but the job done was professional through and through.Clean worksite, communicative from start to finish, and the workmanship is excellent. They even called to schedule the support adjustments once cement dried - which Im used to having to chase contractors for follow up details - but not in this case.My crew were Keith, Roberto, and Jose. They were the same crew that came to make follow up adjustments a few weeks later. The problem was solved and the work+crew were excellent.

    Our salesperson Troy measured, crawled under the house, photographed and then prepared a straightforward estimate. He explained everything in detail and answered all of our questions.The crew; Luis, Jose and Eduardo showed up on time and after explaining to us what the plan was they made it happen. They were very serious about quality work and making sure we were happy.Our work unexpectedly required a new section of footer and brick foundation so they sent a mason/foundation man, Alex. Him and his 2 man crew completed the job professionally and quickly. They were easy to work with.We are quite pleased that JES is a company that kept their word, their people are professional and quite courteous and our house is now structurally sound.

    Fantastic work on our crawl space! The three gentlemen who did the work (Mark, Larry, and Lloyd) were professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. Our crawl space is very tight, but these men worked well despite the challenging conditions, and they finished in a single day! They put down plastic, assessed the condition of the wood, added doors to the three crawl-space entrances, and installed a dehumidifier. They also put insulation along the perimeter of the foundation. They cleaned up everything before they left. We highly recommend the professionals at JES and particularly these three gentlemen: Mark, Larry, and Lloyd.

    Austin O. inspected the sidewalk to our home which erosion had caused to crack the slab into un level halves. JES could have the slab raising done but a public water meter in the lower halve would be at risk. Austin’s opinion, for which I am thankful, was the risk to the house’ main water line made raising the slab excessively risky. I was very appreciative of Austin’s candor.

    JES Foundation Repair is best in customer service, knowledge - they know what theyre doing and need to do and got the beam in my foundation replaced to my satisfaction with photos. Lee, the person I interacted with was excellent with service, inspection, quote and all around always called me back asap, worked on weekends, did everything he could to make this repair a 5 star experience. The crew, led by Seth, was polite, explained everything to me and got the job done. Highly recommend.

    JES did a great job fixing our front porch. It had begun to settle and sloped towards the house, which allowed water to leak into our basement during heavy rains. JES lifted the front porch and adjoining sidewalk and filled in some significant voids with the poly foam. They finished it off with some nice sanded caulk that looks much better than what was there before. Time will tell if the problem has been fixed. Will update the review after the next storm to see if the basement stays dry.All the employees from JES were friendly and professional, communicated well what to expect, and cleaned up after themselves. Working with this company has been a great experience.A note to potential customers: there is a $1600 job minimum for them to come out. Our original problem probably would have been less than that, but they inspected the sidewalk and foundation to see what spots needed improvement that they could add to the job to get us up to the minimum amount. I called another company that does similar work and they had a similar job minimum amount. We feel this was money well spent to solve our leaking basement problem, and we would have had to spend a similar amount with another company anyway.

    My husband & I have been so stressed about our crawl space issues, but we had our free inspection done today & feel much better. Joe Gilbert has been so helpful & thorough in explaining everything! He even came back later to be able to explain everything in person to both my husband & I (since the inspection was done before we could both be there). We talked with him for a little even after he explained everything, and was so personable. Joe & the company have had great customer service and communicated fully with us. So excited to get to work with JES & Joe, and get our house/crawl space fixed.

    I called this company when I had an emergency with flooding in my basement a year ago. The work they did last year is beautiful and has held up. I had an operation concern during some heavy rains, that turned out to be a drainage tube issue causing the pump not to turn on, and it was a simple fix. These guys were nice about it and fixed it swiftly. A special shout out to Erick Zack, Jacob Smith, Zachery Trimm, and Conan Eaton for your awesome attitudes and great service! After all I’ve been through this past year, thank you for treating me with a dose of special, not just a job.I called them again for my front walk. The guys showed up on time, were extremely helpful, explained the process to me with how the cement will be poured and spread, and finished, and they did amazing work! Their customer service deserves my highest raves! I saw the supervisor come and verify the quality and confirm the work and when they were finished, they allowed me to imprint my late puppy’s paw print into my front walk where he used to lay with me, so I could have a personalized memory. They roped off the area to help ensure people would not damage the finished product and were extremely responsive with all questions. Thank you so much for all the kindness and professional courtesy I was treated with during our business. I regret not getting the names of the those who helped with the walk, and I hope if they are the ones who help another, they are recognized or shown appreciation as much as I have for them! I will most definitely recommend JES to others who have work inquiries. Thank you JES!!

    I’m a real estate investor and I was interested in buying a property but it had bad settlement issues. I called JES Foundation to schedule a free consultation, and they assigned Tyler K. as my inspector. For one, he pulled up an hour early because he finished up a prior job site early, so his communication was definitely on point and punctual. It didn’t take him long to realize I was interested in learning what he was doing and asking him questions, so he took the time out to explain everything he did from that point on. He explained and pointed out indicators to look out for on future projects that hinted towards foundation issues which was a great gem to know for my business! I could tell he enjoyed and loves what he does, he’s very thorough when it comes toHis work, pays attention to detail, and definitely an undeniable professional in his line of work! To top it all off, HE ASKED IF I WAS INTERESTED IN GOING UNDER THE CRAWLSPACE WITH HIM! (Never been under a house ever before) Of course, I wasn’t going pass up on a unique learning opportunity like this one, so I said YES! He threw me all the proper PPE gear to wear and be safe while under of course, and we went under. The house ended up being alot worst than we thought and Tyler’s expertise allowed me to make a great informed decision and inevitably kept me from purchasing a bad investment property! The amount of value he gave me was extremely insane and priceless in my opinion. He’s a very cool guy, super personable, has a great personality and attitude, he does great explaining and teaching his job, and is a beast at what he does! Even though the deal didn’t go through, I’m happy to say I will 100% definitely be calling Tyler K and JES Foundation on my future projects, and I’m grateful for the new relationship I got to make with them!!

    JES was a great experience: Original contact Josh was on time, professional, friendly, knowledgeable. Explained the process and realistic expectations. Set repair date less than a week away. Installers called to notify of arrival time. CJ and Truman were on time, very polite and personable. Explained what they were going to do to be sure we were in agreement and how they were going to do it and discussed expected result. They were very proficient at the process. Repair was complicated covered entryway but outcome was excellent. CJ and Truman very competent and pleasant. Work site was clean and neat on departure. These people know what they are doing and are very good at it. Highly recommended.

    Mr. Philip Wilson of JES visited my mothers home for service and, from the initial call to his departure, the level of customer service, attention to detail, and knowledge of his trade was most evident in everything he did. He went above and beyond to explain the situation in a clear and concise manner and supported each of his conclusions with pictographic evidence and fact based analysis. JES struck gold with Philip and he represents his trade at a stellar level. For many of us, money isnt exactly growing on trees, so when we pay for service its good to know there are folks out there who go above and beyond to exceed our expectations and wont nickel and dime their customers with unnecessary charges or estimates for work that isnt required. Dont hesitate to give these guys a call and if youre lucky youll get Mr. Wilson to visit your home too.

    Last Wednesday, December 11, 2024, (on a very rainy day), I had my yearly encapsulated crawlspace, pumps and humidifier inspection / maintenance scheduled. The technician, (Philip), notified me that he would be late due to another job delay. Philip finally arrived, (in pouring rain), professionally and pleasantly explained what had delayed him and proceeded to do the required maintenance I needed. At completion he gave me a complete report of what he had found and done. His professionalism and pleasant demeanor is to be commended.

    Contacted JES for our crawl space. Customer service was great. Very friendly. Were quick on getting the proper permits to start crawl space work. The job was done in a timely manner.     The inspector, John Holloway, did an extremely competent and thorough inspection. He went above and beyond, especially by todays standards, to address all of our concerns, as well as offer and clearly explain the options available to address them. Im adding this edit because the job is now complete. The crew arrived on time, and completed the job competently, and displayed a high level of professionalism. I have read people posting theyre not happy with the pricing, all i can is say to that is, you may pay more upfront, but for what you get the price will even out on the vapor barrier alone. You get 25 years on it with JES, you will no doubt have to replace thinner vapor barriers at least once or twice in those 25 years, so factor that in... Anyway, Im extremely satisfied with JES across the board for crawl space encapsulation.

    David Hill along Steven Steadman and Rick Underwood did a excellent job. David did an excellent job demonstrating what he did underneath the house with pictures. My only concern is that the electrical work which is outsourced was not done and I must wait for that to be done. JES needs to have its own electricians so the job can be completed at the same time.

    I bought a lovely 50+ year old home in southeast VA but it had some water issues in the basement. JES did a fantastic job on the installation of a drainage system and sump pump. They arrived on time, kept us updated on progress, and cleaned up when they left. A month later I noticed one small spot that was still having an issue. JES was ready to come over and fix immediately, but I was working through health issues and kept postponing. JES continued to check in and when I was back on my feet they came over, fixed this one small area, and did another check around the perimeter. Weve had the system for over a year now and havent seen a drop of water in the basement since! THANK YOU JES!Highly recommend!

    JES did 2 great jobs for us. We had a concrete slab that settled over the years and Shaun and Chris used their expertise to safely and quickly lift it level. It was amazing to watch! Then the next day Shakeen, Jonathan and Darnell came out and did an entire crawl space encapsulation on our 2800 sqft 1972 brick colonial. These guys worked so hard and did it in a day- making sure everything was perfectly set up to keep our home insulated, pest free and less humid. They showed us pictures of our completed crawl space and left our space totally clean. Everyone was friendly and professional. Thanks to Lee at JES for getting us all set up. We would define use JES again.

    JES crew of Andrew, Cody and Al arrived around fifteen minutes after a heads-up call from Andrew. Andrew explained the process of leveling the concrete slabs around my pool, and they got after it! These guys worked as a team and accomplished the job in a timely manner.     I decided to go with JES because of their great reputation. I was not disappointed. My salesman, Aaron Moore was experienced in construction and came up with a comprehensive plan. He even came back and bought his construction manager to discuss a couple of things that I wanted to address. Aaron was very responsive and worked with my schedule. The construction crew that JES sent out, foreman Emilio Sanches, Angel Mata, and Juan Mata were very professional and worked very hard during the week long project. They were neat and took pride in their work. I could tell that they definitely knew what they were doing. We had our crawl space waterproofed and sealed and a beam replaced that had rotted. It was tricky because of the age of our house (built in 1932). But they were experienced with the foundation framing unique to the era. When I decided last minute to put the dehumidifier outside (rather than under our house), Emilio and his crew jumped right on it. They never complained about my last minute change and built a nice waterproof wooden box to put the dehumidifier in. I highly recommend JES, Aaron, and especially Emilio and his crew.

    Troy Miller was the rep who came to our house in Ocean City MD. Troy was great to work with, very knowledgeable and didnt try to sell us work we didnt need. In addition, Troy spent several hours at our house doing a thorough inspection of our crawl space. Troy educated us with technical data from a 3rd party (University studies) on how and why were having the issues in our crawl space.

    JES came out today to check for foundation damage. Corey gave me a call 30 minutes before our appointment and arrived on time. He was here for at least 45 minutes doing a very thorough inspection of the inside and outside of the house. He was very knowledgable and easygoing. After he completed the inspection, he explained it well and thankfully I didnt have any damage. I appreciate the honesty from JES. They gave me a free estimate and confirmed my foundation is sound.     When we recently discovered we had moisture in our crawlspace, we called JES for a free inspection. Mr. Tyler Knight came out and spent a considerable amount of time under the crawlspace of our home and our sunroom inspecting, taking pictures and also taking measurements. The visit lasted a couple of hours and Tyler was very thorough, professional, and friendly. He provided us with a gameplan on how to go forward, including an emailed estimate, photos and diagrams. Tylers dedication and professionalism left my wife and I no doubt that the challenges ahead, will be fully resolved, based on the companys reputation and expertise.     We had JES perform a crawl space encapsulation. From the quote to the end, it was great. I wasn’t upselled, everything was simple, and they gave me time to get other Quotes. Scheduling was a breeze. When the work started, they called to give us time, took care to protect my sensors under the house, and were as clean as possible in the yard with the old insulation. When they were done at the end of the day, they showed up pictures of the work and cleaned up. Keith, Roberto, Jerome, and Johnathan were very profession and clean. Keith answered all our questions, kept us informed of the work, and got them done a head of schedule. I would recommend them to anyone.

    I had my slab lifted with push piers then filled with poly and this company came in a tad bit more expensive than some other companies however the quality and warranty made them worth the extra cost, which in my opinion is marginal, and their team was professional and explained everything so I knew what was going on during the process.     Called to get an estimate to lift the concrete decking around the outside edge of my pool. The outside of that portion of the deck had subsided making the deck unlevel and left a gap between the deck and pole tile. Lee Davis came out within a couple of days. Very friendly and professional. The estimate was actually less than what I feared. Work was scheduled for the end of October, but I got a text later that said they could do it on the 1st. The only complaint I have is that when the 1st came, I didnt hear from anyone until 2pm that they were on their way (weather was iffy). Suggestion, give an arrival window like other companies or call the day before or both. I wasnt sure anyone was going to show. Shawn and Chris arrived. They are actually with a sister company from Atlanta up here helping out. They went right to work and knocked the project out very quickly. The pool is very old, so I wasnt expecting any miracles. Its not perfect due to the age of the pool, but it looks a lot better and you can feel the difference when you walk on it. 5yr warranty. Highly recommend.

    JES did wonderful work for our home. The team we had for the outside work was Agustin Morales, Eduardo Morales, and Jorge Duron. They were very professional in every aspect of the job. They let us know when they were arriving via text which was great. Agustin explained everything that was being done and did a walk around with us after the work was complete.     In 2022 JES Virginia Beach did extensive badly needed crawlspace repair work at my home prompted after discovering a sunken floor and damp walls. We saw many rotten joists, standing water, etc. in the crawlspace. Since the repairs (two dehumidifiers, three sump pumps, and crawlspace encapsulation) were made the positive results were quickly seen-dry walls, floor back to normal and most importantly, acceptable lower humidity levels in the home.     The work crew arrived at the time expected. The immediately went to work preparing the site for the work to be done. The workers are Roberto, Keith and Jose out of the Virginia Beach. They worked non-stop except for lunch and kept my wife and I informed as to what they were doing. The work was demanding given that Joists had to be replaced. They fully explained to process of putting the sump pumps in and describing their full function. They also placed the jacks that were indicated by the original inspector, Christopher Barefoot. Mr Barefoot was very informative on what he was checking and fully explained the process we could expect when the workers were scheduled to start the work (see above).     Nate Riggs, a JES Inspector, came to my house to inspect my crawlspace today. He was very thorough, professional, straightforward, and honest. He was not a salesman interested in selling me unnecessary improvements. He measured the square footage of the crawlspace, assessed the humidity level and the vapor barrier, inspected for any possible fungus, looked for any signed of snakes, rodents, or insects, identified downed insulation and the cause, took photographs to document his finds and sent his photographs to me. Nate reviewed his findings with me and discussed a reasonable remedy. His inspection took about 90-minutes and he spent about another 30-minutes discussing his findings and recommendations with me. He will email me a detailed report and an estimate for repairs. All of this was free of charge. I was very impressed with Nate and his company, JES.

    JES came out to do some repairs in my crawlspace; they were scheduled for 3 days but managed to get the work done in 2. David Hill and his crew (Matt McNalley & Steven Steadman) did an excellent job. David also found that they needed less drain tile than originally was thought, and made sure I was only charged for what was actually used. They were both super patient with questions and made it seem like no big deal.     We recently purchased a home last May. As we settled into the home we received a notice that JES wants to schedule a time to service the jacks the previous owners installed. I was so excited as I was planning on calling them to assess the property for structural issues. Mr. Chris Barefoot came out and got right to work looking over the house and adjusting the current jacks. Then we sat down with him and went over the issues I was concerned with.     Keith B., Roberto H. and Jose C. came out today and did extensive foundation repair for our home. They did a fantastic job! The workers were on time and hard working. They were able to finish the job in one day. They were courteous and professional. They gave a thorough explanation about everything they did. After the job was finished, they cleaned up and left everything neat and in place. I would highly recommend JES and particularly these three hard working skilled professionals!

    Eric Zack, Foreman, and his Team completed the Foundation portion of the repair. I should say restoration, because the foundation was in very bad shape. He was very astute in letting us know when he and his Team left Base and arrival time. Always letting us know upfront what he planned to do, and that was for every step. Couldnt ask for any better Team. David Hill, Foreman and his Team completed the encap portion of the restoration.     Excellent service in the Chesapeake area. Taylor did a great job of explaining all the repairs needed due to shotty craftsmanship and old termite damage. He also walked me through the financing process and made it very easy. Emilio, Angel, and Juan were very professional and did an excellent job with the repairs. Not only did they take care of the major repairs under my home, but fixed some minor discrepancies with my primary room door. I highly recommend the entire team and I will definitely reach out for any upgrades to my crawl space I decide to do in the future. Thank you.

    Michael Bradley and Derrick Trask did a wonderful job adding a support beam and jacks to level out my house. They were courteous and polite even after spending hours in 90 degree heat under the crawl space in my home. The made sure I was aware of each step they were taking, and showed pictures of the end product. They did not leave until I was comfortable with their work and assured me that if the jacks needed any adjustments I could call JES to come out any time.

    JES came out for their yearly check on our foundation of our porch and realized that an inner wall in the basement was leaning slightly and they found sand in the aluminum trays they had put in out basement several years ago. They discovered that our house foundation had a few cracks in it because of water damage and settling of soil. They were excellent in studying the problem and coming up with a solution. They sent a foundation crew including Robert, Austin, and Lucas out from Richmond to our home in the Northern Neck of Virginia. They were excellent workers and explained what they were going to do and why. If they had any question they could not answer they called their supervisor and got answers. The foundation crew finished their difficult job of digging out the sand under the front porch and house to waterproof the walls, seal them, and put support pins in to raise the foundation to level the house and porch foundation. When they finished the crew cleaned everything up leaving it very neat. I give them high marks for their excellent job. We start the finishing of the porch and rest of the job Monday with a new crew. I

    JES completed foundation work on my crawlspace in 2020. Today’s visit was for the annual check to ensure sump pumps and drainages were operating properly. The service technician, Phillip Wilson, is exceptional! He is always timely, polite, and thorough. He explains fully everything he has seen and/or done under my house. He should be commended for providing exemplary customer service!

    JES was recommended to me by another contractor. I asked for an inspection and estimate. JES was able to get a technician out in 2 days. Christian was professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. He explained what would be done, how it would be done, and several options. I received all of that information in writing by email later that day. I would recommend JES to anyone.

    Very professional crews and great quality work! - Emilio Sanchez, Juan Mata, and Angel Mata did great work to fix some foundation issues and encapsulate the crawl space. Andrew and Krista were also very professional and did great work to fix a sunken part of my driveway. Both crews showed that they took a lot pride in their work and also took extra care to clean up the work area before they left. Overall, the quality of work is definitely worth paying for!
