    We had a great experience using Best Roofing to replace our 20 year old roof. Working with Ty was wonderful. He took his time to carefully explain to us all that needed to be done. Ty is very detail oriented person and picked up on the smallest issues that needed to be addressed (for example, how to get the materials on the roof and work around the power lines coming into the house.) He laid out everything before we signed the contract and when the roof was completed there were no surprises added to our cost. Ty was on site each day and great to work with. He is an asset to this company.I also want to give a shout out to his amazing roofing crew led by Edgar. These men put in 3 solid days of work in 80+ degree weather and did a fabulous job. Their pride in workmanship was evident. We couldn’t be happier with their finished product.

    I have been on a journey the past few weeks with a roofing company that absolutely shined with my 60+ year old home located in Larkspur neighborhood of Virginia Beach. I have dealt with many trades persons over the years as I have lived in this home for 30+ years. Over the years I have had 4 rooms added and remodeled 4 bathrooms by various companies large and small and/or construction handymen.Search for the “Best”My 12 year old roof had several leaks last year which I used a different company that repaired them but took almost a month to get them fixed. When those leaks appeared again recently along with others I decided to put a new roof on and new gutters. I contacted 3 roofing companies. I decided to take my time in choosing the company that would install the new roof and gutters. Two of the companies took almost a week to call me back when I used their online quote service. I already had a call back on the same day with the owner from the company that I eventually hired----Best Roofing of Virginia. The owner said he would send out Ty Cox, his best estimator, who would be the lead supervisor for my project. We agreed on a time that Ty would be out to my home.Found the “Best”Ty arrived at my home 10 minutes before our planned meeting. “Impressive start” as most in the construction business operates on or about a hour timeframe. I brought him into the attic to show the leaks and he wanted to see the wood planks 1”x 8” x 10’ that the main house frame had. I said I told him I was disappointed with the previous roof as I thought it should have lasted longer. We both went up on the roof and walked it and he pointed out many issues…After an hour of educating me about roof he said he would have a quote in two days..Installing the “Best”I talked with all three roofing companies about their quotes. Only Ty from Best Roofing of Virginia would go into detail on how/why he quoted a ridge vent system with additional soffits in the eaves over the box vents I had and the drip edge along the edges of the roof. I liked Ty’s attention to detail and his very respectful conversational manner. He emphasized he has used the same roofing crew for the past 9 years. On the morning of the install they were scheduled to start at 7am which all 11 of them were on time. Each of them knew exactly what they had to do and began without direction. I have a lot of roof space 4400sq ft and yet they finished the roofing job by dusk. They came back the next morning to finish some flashings and to do a through clean up job around the house and in next door neighbors yard for any loose debris. I had several wood planks/sheets that had to be replaced because of moisture or brittle because of age. During that process they would show me the wood and the location on the roof that they were replacing. Yes it added cost but their price for wood per linear foot was far better and fair than the other two quotes. A few days later the gutter installer came and measured for the fascia and gutters downspouts to be installed. Older homes can be a challenge which Ty saw that the main Eave board behind my garage was slightly bowed which would create a gap for water to run behind the gutter. Ty figured out a method to keep water from going behind the gutter which included additional time a small amount of stripping but no extra charge.Recommending the “Best”I have been through a rain storm and no roof leaks and the gutters are operating as they should. Ty is the type of person that takes pride in his work and he expects those that he supervises to do the same. You can see in the way that he takes time to listen to and explain the ins and outs of roofing, venting system, roof lines and gutters. Best Roofing of Virginia’s price was fair and in line with one of the other quotes. Ty responded to everyone of my text messages when I had a question or comment always on the same day. This company has my highest recommendation…Oh yea there is a military discount that the GAF manufacture will refund to you after your roof is registered

    Since we were satisfied with the roof installed by Best Roofing of Virginia over 22 years ago, we chose them to replace this old and aging one two months ago.Ty, the project manager, suggested that we change the color of our roof, and he introduced several options. Shingle samples were brought to our home. He was right about one color and once installed it really made our home complete. Extremely attractive. He was spot on with the color selection.We are completely satisfied with the quality, efficiency and workmanship. We have recommended Best Roofing to family members as well as our friends.

    Worked with Ty from Best Roofing about 6 years ago on some tiles flipping up. At that time, he told me the roof still had a few good years left on it and recommended to NOT replace it. Ty nailed it with his prediction and honesty. Fast forward to 2024, and it was finally time to replace. Called Ty back immediately based upon my original interactions with him. The price was fair, he worked with my wife and I on colors, and the roof came out gorgeous! The workers were very professional, thorough, and our yard was left in the condition it was in prior to their arrival!     I just used Best Roofing of Virginia to replace our roof and they did an outstanding job. They gave me the lowest estimate and backed it up in their final price. We had some growth work when they removed they old roof but this was discussed and agreed to prior to starting the job. The crew started at 7:00 am and worked until 8:30 pm to finish the job. What a work ethic backed up by great customer service. All you can ask for is an honest days work at a fair price. I am a very satisfied customer.

    Ty was exceptional with keeping us informed throughout the whole process from quote to completion. Their quote was reasonable with more materials included upfront.His roofing team run by Edgar was top notch! Edgar treated our roof as if he was replacing his own.     Best Roofing. Name says it all! Honestly the best experience I’ve ever had with a contractor. Quality work done by ethical professionals who are driven by quality and integrity rather than profit. Don took the time to explain the whole roofing process and answer my questions and helped pick out my shingles. The crew were prompt, courteous and very knowledgeable. Materials arrived on day 1 and roof was complete from start to finish on day 2. They took the time to protect my yard and landscaping while working and cleaned up all the nails and debris when finished. They even replaced all the patio furniture and plants they removed from my deck for protection before leaving! I plan on calling Beat Roofing for new gutters next year!     Best Roofing of Virgina is unquestionably deserving of our full five-star rating...and so much more if that were possible! After many contractors over the 22 years of owning our home, we have learned that no matter how expensive the materials (or how much you pay), it all comes down to the person with the hammer. In roofing, Edgar and his two-man crew are those men. Edgar and his team were some of the most professional, polite, and hard-working contractors we ever had working on our house. They were always ready to explain what they were doing and extremely respectful of our yard and property. We were extremely pleased and impressed with the Edgars skill and craftsmanship as he diligently and deliberately corrected numerous problems from our previous roof and poor subsequent repairs.     Ty was absolutely amazing! He was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. He came out to my home multiple times and spent a great deal of time making sure we understood eveything and were happy with our roof.Edgar and his team are experts! As 1 of 3 estimates presented t was clear that Best was the most responsive to our needs and addressed all requirements upfront answering all questions professionally and in total. Our representative Ty was eager to show his companys professionalism from the moment we set up an on-site visit. After a period of deliberation between the 3 candidates it was clear that Best truly was the best! Next came a negotiation that was fair and equitable meeting our price point. Once given the green light Ty made it all happen seamlessly. The crew led by Edgar arrived on time as promised and completed our project as promised.     From start to finish, my experience with Best Roofing of Virginia was outstanding. The initial roof inspection, survey, and estimate took about an hour that included a detailed explanation of work to be completed and warranties. Once the contract was signed, was notified in just over a week for an upcoming installation date that met my needs. Roof tear-down and replacement was all completed in three days, including a rain day. The roof was left ready for an anticipated rain at the end of day one. The crew did a great job of protecting the house and surrounding plants during installation and a great job cleaning up. You have no reason to look elsewhere if you are looking for a roofing contractor.

    We used Best Roofing of Virginia because we had watched them install our neighbors new roof a while back. When we called, we spoke with Ty Cox. He immediately scheduled a satellite examination of our roof. The next day, he came to our home with a detailed report. He took his time and answered all of our questions and helped us to understand the information. He gave us great suggestions about products and which colors and styles would complement our siding and trim. He was able to give us a real vision of what it would look like. The next day, he came back with roof samples and drip edges (that we needed because of the way the old roof was installed). He has over 14 years of experience and definitely does his job with passion. Though we were not overjoyed about getting a new roof, he actually got us excited about it! Ty is extremely professional, knowledgeable, and an all around nice guy. It was a real pleasure working with him and his crew. The very next week, Edgar and his crew arrived and got right to work. They completely removed any rotten plywood, vapor barriers, and Ty spent the time explaining to me what they were doing and providing updates/check-ins every step of the way.     A previous roofer had done a poor job in installing our roof unfortunately so I had to get it replaced. Contacted Best Roofing of Virginia based on the excellent ratings and comments received on line.Ty came out and provided a very professional and detailed explanation of what the previous roofer had done wrong and how Best Roofers would correct the problem. He provided a detailed estimate at a competitive price. I received a few other estimates but Best Roofers appeared to be the best choice so I went with them.They were able to do the work within one weeks time which was critical in light of the fact that our roof had serious problems and a storm that was part of Hurricane Ian was approaching. They did the work in two days and did a great job. Ty and his crew kept me informed of what they were doing and why they were doing throughout the process.The roof was test almost immediately as we received heavy rains and strong winds starting the day after the job was complete. Im happy to say the roof held up great with no leaks and no problems. Two months later the roof is doing fine and Im glad it is no longer a problem.I would recommend Best Roofers of Virginia to anyone looking to replace their roof.

    Best Roofing did an excellent job replacing our roof. From the beginning with our estimate, our project manager, Thanh, provided excellent customer service. He knew the products and the process very well and was able to answer all our (many!) questions.     The roof of my rental house was replaced by Best Roofing in 2004. They had given me the best of the estimates from 3 companies, but I chose inexpensive shingles which had a short warranty. The roof began leaking in 2021, more than 17 years after installation. Since I was very satisfied with Best Roofing’s work and price (I also had my primary home re-roofed by them in ‘04), I was happy to find that they were still in business. I called their office on a weekend night and they returned my call 2 minutes after they opened on Monday morning. The owner of the company met me 2 days later and once again gave the best estimate of the several roofers that I had called. Best Roofing of Virginia got the job and I expect to be once again very satisfied with their work. This time, however, I’m not going to make them use the cheap shingles – lesson learned.

    I am very pleased with my entire experience of getting a new roof put on by Best Roofing of Virginia. From the initial estimate by Ty Cox to the final clean up, it was professional and top notch. They also earned points with me for moving my installation up the list to get it done sooner than later because I had multiple leaks. The crew was punctual, conscientious and hard working. They did my roof of almost 5000 square feet in two days. Unbeknownst to me, the previous roofers did not do a proper install. I am much more confident in this job by Best Roofing plus there is a warranty. That warranty is transferable to the next owner of this house (going on the market soon). I would definitely recommend using Best Roofing of Virginia if you need any roof work performed. Their price was comparable to another top rated company, who I also would have felt comfortable with, but I opted for Best Roofing. Another top company quoted me a cost 37% higher so they obviously did not want the work.

    On May 4, 2015 Best Roofing of Virginia removed old roof shingles and underlayment, repaired faulty roof planks and installed a completely new roof on my mother-in-laws house. We were very pleased with the complete sales and installation process. The sales representative and also project manager, Thanh Nguyen, was well spoken and technically knowledgeable. The removal/repair/installation team was very professional and quite skilled. The job was completed in one day. We were especially pleased with Best Roofings focus on customer service and customer satisfaction. The new roof looks great and works great.

    Our roof was 23 years old and in need of replacing -- along with gutters and skylights. One of our neighbors a couple doors down had Best Roofing of Virginia replace their roof the year before, so there was some close experience. He was happy with the work and the owner, and his roof looked great. I called Don (Best Roofing VA owner) to get a quote. He came out, made some measurements and we talked options. Learned some useful facts about selecting a roof along the way. Before giving the job to Best, I had already gotten quotes from 2 other contractors, and while one was a little more than Dons, the first was a full 3 times as expensive -- using the same materials and with a somewhat comparable warranty.Obviously quality work and good materials are keys, and between the work I saw and many other reviews I read from satisfied clients, Best Roofing got the job,We selected colors, options, added guttering, and new skylights (to replace the old and noisy plastic bubbles so typical of 25 years ago). The work was scheduled, materials delivered, and except for the gutters, work was nearly complete the first day.We have no complaints about the efficiency, quality of the work, appearance, or cost. And while I dont expect to need another roof anytime soon I wouldnt hesitate to have Best VA do another job one for us in the future. The roof really looks great, as does the guttering.

    A terrific experience, with a quality roofing contractor. We contracted with Best Roofing after reviewing their detailed estimate for our roof replacement. Best Roofing reviewed not only the exterior of our roof, but reviewed our existing ventilation. Their price included a complete re-roofing, new flashing covers around vents, stacks and new ridge shingling. The crew that performed the work was excellent and worked extremely hard. The crew had four members and each member had a specific job. The debris clean-up was terrific, especially since there are so many nails, old shingles and debris that gets removed. We were impressed by the thoroughness of the roofing process and the clean-up. Credit also goes to T. Nguyen who was the roofing estimator and also the superintendent for the job.     Than Nguyen went over all roofing options with me and gave me an estimate expeditiously. He made me feel comfortable and confident that I was in good hands. I didnt pull the trigger with them immediately as I had family issues I was dealing with at the same time. Than was patient with me, checked back occasionally without pressuring me, and reviewed everything with me again when I was ready to have the work done. I completed a contract with them and work started within the estimated time frame that Than had given me. Work started early on the scheduled day. The crew was professional, Than was present each day to answer questions and concerns. There was some damaged wood under the old roof that required some additional materials but I was notified of that possibility before ever signing the contract. I was able to be present a couple of times while work was underway and personally able to confirm the need for repairs. Than was great about taking pictures too so the little that I was not able to personally observe was documented. Warranty and follow up after completion of the new roof were thorough and informative. I am more than pleased with the work that was done, the service I received, and the professionalism demonstrated by Than and the whole crew.

    We had roofing estimates from four companies with pricing all over the place. Best roofing was the last contractor we had give an estimate. Ty Cox came out to the house and did a complete inspection of the roof before writing up an estimate; two guys basically walked around the house and did a ground measurement. Ty was the only one that I felt had actual roofing experience which made us feel more comfortable. We got everything in our warranty package at a much better price than two of the other companies. This crew showed up at 6:45 a.m. Sunday morning and by 7:00 p.m. the roof was completed and they were doing clean up (including replacing an old skylight). I thought there was no way they would complete before the Memorial Day rain came down but they did. Clean up was thorough and complete. This is a big investment and I would not hesitate to use Best Roofing of Virginia again and would recommend to anyone looking for roofing needs.

One company seemed disinterested, one provided a quote using a satellite image without visiting the property, one responded after 10 days and two voice mails. Best Roofing sets the standard.     Best Roofing of Virginia is a very easy company to work with. The interview was very informative describing exactly what would be accomplished. The price was very fair. They use quality materials. The project manager Thanh really knows this business. They estimated 2-3 days to complete but did it in only two days. They cleaned up at night before leaving and at the finish did a thorough cleanup especially with picking up nails. Very pleased with the roofing job they did. However, they overloaded the trailer they used to clean up the old shingles. The trailer had a flat tire. When they jacked it up to replace tires, they put too much stress on the concrete driveway. We ended up with 3 new stress cracks in the driveway. They owner of the company came to look at it. He had very poor PR with customers and said we did not have a problem and would do nothing about it. So I would never recommend this company to anyone for a new roof. The owner should get out of the business!

    I contacted Best Roofing of Virginia, for one of the estimates on replacing my roof, based on the sheer number high ratings on Angie List. Ty Cox came out to do the estimate. He went way out of his way then and throughout the rest of the job to make sure that I would be happy with the finished job. He even went so far as to carry display boards up on the roof to help me decide what color to use. There was never any pressure what so ever to buy anything or close the deal. While his price wasnt the lowest, I felt it was the one that best fit my needs. I even ended up qualifying for a much better warranty than I had expected without paying extra. The installation went extremely well. The workers arrived on time and went right to work. Everyone knew exactly what to do and wasted no time standing around at all. They were very thorough in finding and fixing every little defect in the surface prior to the installation of the shingles. They worked late cleaning up at the end of the day and came back the next morning [Saturday] to finish the last few things on the roof and thoroughly clean up the whole work site. All together they did a super job, and I am delighted with everything and would gladly recommend them to anyone.

    I have nothing but excellent things to say about their lead project manager Ty. He was absolutley the most professional person I have ever met and did nothing but ensure that I was a satisfied costumer. To start I had more than one roofing company come out to give me estimates but Ty was one of the few who actually went onto my roof and even went a step further by asking me to go with him in order to go over every detail that they were going to do in order to make my roof perfect. After the project was started he was available anytime I needed to ask a question and made sure he gave exact details on how his team was going to overcome any issue.     Needed a new roof and furnace exhaust ventilation system. Went on line and found Best Roofing of Virginia, a company with numerous positive reviews. Contacted Don Harrelson and we talked a bit. Not your average polished salesperson but very knowledgeable. We met the following day and, after exchanging small talk, he began to explain the importance of adequate attic ventilation and how it relates to premature roof failure. When I mentioned the need for a new furnace vent he stated that he could contact a contractor to perform those repairs. He was able to coordinate that effort also and it was seamless. The crew arrived on a Friday morning just as a significant weather event was leaving. All work was completed the following day. The craftsmanship, professionalism and attention to detail was exemplary and the cleanup effort was as close to perfect as one might reasonably expect.     Great communication, workmanship, clean up, and overall experience. Thanh was my project Manager and Edgar and his crew installed my new roof. They were great form the time I first called to set up an apt to the clean up ( only 2 nails found and they were hiding under my grill). My roof looks great and is water tight. They installed it on June 1st and it has rained since about 5 hours after they finished. I would highly recommend them to any one who ask and have already done so twice.     Competitive pricing and great service.Out of 3 companies contacted to get my roof replaced, this was the only company to get up on the roof and inspect it to know exactly what needed done. They took the time to sit with me and go over the materials and make recommendations. It was a hard decision when all three companies cam back with similar estimates so it was these details that led us to choose Best Roofing of VA and we were happy we did. We were out of town when the roof was put on and our neighbor kept an eye and ear on their work. He called several times to say what a good job the crew was doing on the roof and then again to comment on how well they cleaned up without damaging anything.I have found several nails laying around the house since but a few nails is to be expected. They told me to check the driveway before parking there just to make sure they didnt miss anything and I did find one in the driveway. I went and purchased my own magnet sweeper just to be safe. and found a bunch from this job and Im sure from others in the past and from neighbors.It also appears that they re-attached a loose gutter for me while they were up there. I thought that was really nice.

    Best Roofing put the first roof on my in laws home 25+ years ago. They also put a roof on an unattached two car garage in the rear of their home more than 30 years ago. A 3rd time, approximately 10 years ago, they used Best Roofing to seal the flat roof over their carport. My mother in law called this time for 3 or 4 estimates. One company obviously tried to gouge her and take advantage of her 80+ years on this earth. When she called Don @ Best Roofing, he was there the next day....walked the property and gave her an estimate, that beat the other estimates by substantial dollar$. They gave her a start date, and completed the work by noon of day one. Crew arrived early and worked nonstop. The crew was super polite to my mother in law, and professional in every way. Cleanup was meticulous. After completion, I walked the perimeter of the house and literally could not find one stray nail on the ground !I would strongly encourage anyone that is having roof work done to make certain you include Best Roofing in one of you estimates...youll be glad you did !

    Ty Cox and the roof team did an excellent overall job, from start to finish.     I was in dire need of a new roof, but ensured that we did our research before settling with the first company. I contacted 3 companies and found that Best Roofing of VA offered the best overall value. It was not the cheapest of the 3 at first, but it was slightly after applying the military rebate that the other company did not offer. (Thank you for your support of our military!) Aside from the price, the Project Manager who performed the estimate (Thanh Nguyen) took the most time to fully explain everything to me rather than just writing up the proposal and moving on. That meant a lot too. When I told him that I still wanted to shop around, he understood and didnt pressure me. Probably because he knew Id be back given that they are the best! I am so pleased that I decided to go with Best Roofing. Thanh made sure that the process was smooth and I was well-informed throughout.The day the job was done, the crew (Aviecer and his team) showed up right on time (which was 7:30am, before most places on time) and got right to work. I left the house at 7:50 and they had already accomplished a lot. Despite my roof being worse-off than we had known, they still finished the job in 1 day as promised. Thanh was there to oversee the work for most of the day and kept me in the loop on the progress throughout the day with phone calls, texts, and pictures since I couldnt be there.The finished product was fantastic looking, and the cleanup made the area around the house look even better than it did before the job.     Great company to work with. Price was very competitive, they installed great GAF products, and they treated us as I expect to be treated. They were very respectful of my house and property and they maintained cleanliness around the house throughout the 1.5 days they were here.Of particular note was an incident we had with our garage door opener. On the 2nd day there was damage done to it, but Best Roofing of Virginia took full responsibility and paid to have a garage door company come fix it. I know things happen so I dont necessarily judge when things happen, to me its more about how its handled afterward.     Had used Best Roofing before for a skylight replacement and RFPd them and 4 others for this total roofing project. Ty Cox was still there as Estimator/Project Mgr. During the estimate process he was the only one who went on the roof. Others spoke of pictures, satellite views, and measured from the ground. Best Roofing relies on actual measurements. Mr Cox measured on the roof. This definitely wasnt a drive by quotation. His was the most detailed project estimate I had seen including details of the warranty. This was followed up with a 2 page e-mail that further outlined what was provided and what I should expect throughout the process. Other respondents were not as detailed. Only one other competitor bothered to follow up on their proposal. I had done some homework on shingles and other items which helped when respondents advised what shingles they recommended. Of the five quotes received, 4 were close to each other. This allowed for my decision to be based upon expertise, process involved, materials to be used, clean up and warranty. Best Roofing / Ty Cox had all of this answered during the consultation and on the estimate. The crew arrived as expected and went right to work. Areas near the house and plants were protected. Project Manager showed up and stayed for most of the first day. He made sure I was informed on all aspects of the process and how they were going to handle a possible upcoming weather delay. All was without a problem. Second day went without delay. Project Mgr Ty Cox maintained phone contact with me to assure I was aware of the process and status of the project. At conclusion, the supervisor did a walk around the property to make sure it was cleaned to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend this company for any roofing project.

    When we were looking for a roof replacement and minor gutter repair, we went for multiple quotes. Best Roofing (Ty) came out and spent the most time and provided the most detail in his quote, as he was very knowledgeable about his product. They also came in with a very reasonable price. They werent the cheapest we quoted, but we went with them anyway, and have no regrets. They were able to schedule us in for a roof quickly, and their team came and completed the entire new roof in 1 day. Dropped the trailer off the night before, and did have to come for a short time the next morning to clean (just ran out of daylight). I was in and out of the house all day, and every time I returned either Ty (who was on site most of the time), or a lead roofer would greet me, give me an update, and always warn me where to best enter my house to avoid roofing nails while they were actively working.     Hermine Tested---I approvedAfter Tropical Storm Hermine passed by recently and we did not have problems with our roof, it was time to give Best Roofing of VA their 5 star review. Before we decided on Best Roofing, we had 4 other estimates. Ty Cox came over and was on the roof in 95 degree temperatures measuring and checking things out. He answered every question thoroughly even though I asked a few questions more than once. He was patient and made us aware exactly how the whole process would work. This gave us the confidence that Best Roofing was the right choice. Even though they were not the most inexpensive, we knew Ty’s expertise would give us a worry free experience. We were correct. At first Ty said it was going to be a few weeks for installation, but he called the next week and said we were good to go. That was great considering our roof was leaking during the heavy rains at the end of July. His men arrived early and worked until 8:00 that evening with a ½ hour lunch break. Keep in mind, it was the beginning of August, so it was very hot! They also came back early the next day to finish. Clean up was satisfactory as the workers and Ty used the magnet to pick up the excess nails. We also asked Ty if he could have his guys come back for a few touch ups we wanted. His guys came back within a week and completed the job to our satisfaction.

    My new roof is awesome! I got it done at the end of April, right before the rains really hit the area! No leaks, no issues. I was wary of the company and Thanh at first because the price seemed low to me and I had only online reviews to rely on. But Thanh answered all of my questions and relieved my worries.     The whole team was professional and did an amazing job. Our roof was in pretty bad condition and needed to have several boards of plywood replaced.     After trying EIGHT other roofing companies and suffering through dishonest estimators, no-shows and inept roofers, I was excited to FINALLY find a roofing company that was immediately responsive to my call, followed up when they said they would and were in contact with me multiple times before they even came out to the house. They not only know what they are doing, but also truly care about the customer and were TOTALLY HONEST with what repairs need to be done. (In our case, no new roof needed, unlike what I was told by other companies who never even went up on the roof to check it or the leak in the attic, but came to that conclusion over the phone). Best Roofing of Virginia spent a lot of time answering my questions and explaining everything to me AFTER they came and actually got up on and walked the ENTIRE roof (and attic) and they were not trying to sell me a new roof over the phone!!! Ty Cox is wonderful. he even fixed a leak in our roof before we agreed to have it done and fixed the siding on our house that during meeting with my husband. When I first contacted the company for a quote, Don provided me with online information to get a better understanding of the roof replacement process. Thanh, the estimator and project manager then came to my home and provided me with detailed information on what would be accomplished and different warranty options to choice from. Arturos team arrived on time and started without delay, they even encountered some afternoon showers which his team covered the home with heavy tarp to prevent any leaks into the home. His crew waited until the showers subsided then proceeded to complete the roof installation! Thanh, the project manager was always on scene to keep me updated on the process. Cleanup was pristine! Thanh and Arturoa made sure everything was put back the way they found it and nails and debris was picked up and properly disposed of! My homes curb appeal has improved drastically!     Ty (our main source of contact during the planning of the project)communicated well with us up to the time that the work was to be started. They were able to begin the work in a very timely manner, within a week of us committing to the work.     Top notch professional companyI live in Hampton and wanted a Roofer so I had gotten three 3 quotes. Ty Cox the project Manager came out to give the quote; he studied the outside then went atop for measurements. Ty Cox was very informative and knowledgeable. Chose this company after receiving two others estimates. I wasnt pressured and he suggested and explained everything to me in detail and answered all my questions and concerns.     Best Roofing of Virginia did a fantastic job from the very start. They provided us with a very complete and detailed quote so I knew exactly what I was getting. I asked 4 companies to bid my job and BRV was the only company to provide such a professional quote and explanation as well as a great warranty. I felt very confident signing the contract with BRV. The workmanship was also very good. They removed the existing roof and kept much of it out of the yard by piling it up on the roof before dropping it in a trailer. Tarps were placed around most of the house to manage anything that dropped. They even helped me with some carpentry work I needed at my fascia. We also had a few light showers which they were prepared for by getting a full-house tarp on the roof within minutes. I felt like they were all more interested in doing the job correctly than getting it done quickly. All in all a great experience! -JR

From our first phone call to them through their follow-up visit after the work was complete, it was clear our satisfaction was as important to them as it was to us.On each visit to us as sales representative and project manager, Thanh Nguyen arrived promptly. An excellent communicator and very personable, he thoroughly explained all our options, answered our questions, and inquired carefully to make sure all our questions and special concerns had been addressed.     We interviewed 3 companies who were rated well on Angies List. They all responded in a timely manner. We decided to go with Best Roofing of Virginia because the project manager, Than Nguyen, seemed the most knowledgeable about the needs of our structures in order to make them sound. His presentation was very detailed and included concerns about properly ventilating the roof in order to prolong the useful life of the new roof. Because of on again, off again rain, it was difficult to nail down a date to perform the work. However, Than stayed in contact with us on a regular basis and scheduled the work as quickly as the weather would allow. The garage and barn were done one day and the house 2 days later.The crew of 4 who did the work were punctual, skilled and kept the premises tidy during the work and after they were done each day. The garage and barn were done in less than 4 hours. The 2100 sf house was completed in about 10 hours. They were very thorough in cleaning up debris and nails when finished.

    I was very pleased with my entire experience with Best Roofing of VA – from the estimate process to final closure of the project. I would highly recommend this company and have done so.Estimate Process: My first requirement was the contractor had to be GAF Certified Master Elite, which they met. I combined a list of questions to ask the estimators based upon internet searches. Thanh, the Estimator & Project Manager, answered every question to my satisfaction. His estimate was based upon actual roof measurements versus pictures and/ground measurements. He took pictures and provided an overall view of the conditions/issues he saw on the roof. All the available options were explained and why they recommended a particular option. The estimate was based upon materials that were required for my location. The “next level” options were available but no attempt was made to oversell them (i.e. allowed me to inquire/decide on the options). Of the three estimates I received, Best Roofing came in at the lowest price and had the highest Angie’s List rating.Work Performed: I am very happy with my new roof. Communication prior to, during and after the installation was A+. I was given advance notice of all deliveries and work time tables. Thanh was always available for any questions I had and responded within less than 10 minutes, if I did not reach him immediately by text or phone. Workers were polite and hardworking. Quality of the work was top notch. The house surroundings were well protected. Clean-up was good and met my expectations.     I have an older home in Virginia Beach. The chimney constantly gave me problems. I knew i had a roofing and chimney crown issue. I subscribed to Angies List to get reviews. I had 5 roofing companies come out and discuss various solutions and prices. Everyone had a 1 year warranty except Best Roofing which had a 2 year warranty. Best Roofing prices were also right in the middle of the rest. I chose Best Roofing to do the job. They were perfectly on time. They did a fantastic job and even replaced shingles and roof flooring that i didnt know were bad. They were very particular to not use anything but perfectly matching shingles. They installed a cricket that i know now was THE main issue. No other company even suggested it. The main person i dealt with was Ty. He was always courteous and kept to his word on everything. I wanted to wait at least a year to give a review so i could be honest with how the job maintained itself after storms and wind gusts. After a year, i did have another problem with the crown and I called back. Within 2 days, 5 guys came out and redid the entire crown job with much more material that was originally priced. The job was not a quick fix - it was a serious attention to detail and permanent repair. I told Ty that I was still under warranty and he gave me NO excuses or any but..... They worked on the crown for around 3 hours and then left with a smile and a handshake. So now, i am over 2 years from repair and everything remains simply perfect. I cannot THANK YOU enough for being such an honest and reputable company. Now, I know i only have one roofing company that I will ever work with. I have told numerous people of my experiences.     We recently used Best Roofing of Virginia for roof and gutter replacement. We were extremely pleased with the results. Their crews were timely and efficient and worked very hard to accomplish the job in two days. During the first day an unexpected thunderstorm came up with heavy rain. The crew was quick to pull a large tarp over the exposed area of the house to prevent any water getting through.     Great roofing company! I met with several roofing companies before I decided to go with best roofing of Virginia. When Thanh (project manager) came to the house to give an estimate I was thoroughly impressed with him. Not only did he go through the shingles, the underlayment, and the square footage he explained that GAF backs the roof. That to me made all the difference in the world. When we schedule a time to do the roof Thanh walk me through step by step. One of his guys drop the dumpster and its 7 a.m. the next day the workers started the roof. This was the heat of the summer and the workers never slow down. They ensure the roof got done in a timely manner as Thanh promised. And the roof When the roof is complete Thanh and I did a complete walkthrough. They ensured clean up was thorough and complete. I was a little nervous with all the roofing nails, but the guy ensured they were all picked up . After they pulled the dumpster you would have never known they was here.     I live overseas and was selling a home. The roof on the home was probably original (1970 or so) but had an extra layer of shingles added along the way as a cheap fix. I contacted Don based on his amazing reviews. I also contacted the other large roofing provider in VA Beach. Dons estimate was about $1,000 less than theirs. The roof was installed about a week after I called him. Before the roof was replaced I was getting absolutely miserable write-ups regarding the roof on home inspection reports. Afterwards there was nothing (2 home inspections, no defects). Don was a pleasure to work with and took care of everything. He was one of the the easiest contractors I worked with while selling this home from overseas.

    I was extremely pleased with my roofing experience with Best Roofing of Virginia. They were an outstanding company. I was not an easy customer. It was the first time I had put a roof on a home and I had many questions and went back and forth on color of roof. First Mr. Harrelson the owner arrived on time for my estimate, always a plus for me. Went over in detail the procedure, the type of shingles he would be using, the warranty, estimate, and start time plus many other details. He is a GAF Master Elite contractor and can give a silver or gold warranty. This is a big plus!!!Waiting for the start date I became unsure of the shingle color. The day before the crew was to start I called Mr. Harrelson and said I may want to change color. He was very patient, he checked to see if shingles were not on delivery truck already, they were not. He said he already had a set schedule that day, but I could come to his office to review color. I arrived and he waited patiently for 40 mins or more for me to decide between 3 colors. It was hard for me because you are looking at a 2 inch or 4 inch square that is going to cover your entire house. Going back and forth in the light with a picture of house on my phone was difficult for me. Anyway he patiently waited. I finally made up my mind. He said sure this is definite now .His crew arrived early before 8am and started stripping roof. Owner arrived not soon after with truck that had all materials. Still unsure about color I asked to see whole shingle before they were unloaded and extra cost if I changed my mind again. He was patient again and quoted me extra cost for half day lost if needed. Delivery man hand me a shingle and I walked over to house and looked at color against brick. Thank heavens I loved it. Told you I was a pain.On the way out delivery truck that is not part of Best roofing clipped a neighbors tree and broke a limb i did not know about this until neighbor called me. I called me Harrelson, he arrived later in day to check damage and talk to neighbor. He contacted delivery company and large pine limb was cut off to neighbors satisfaction in a few days. It was about 25 ft in air. Arm of truck had hit it.Back to job, the crew worked like a well oiled machine, they were neat, courteous, polite, and I have never seen a group of people work so hard. They knew what they were doing. The owner told me many of them had been with him many years. They took no breaks except for lunch,they brought all they needed and I think they took less than an hour. They worked until 5:30 the first day. They kept the yard clean of debris. The owner came by several times to check on them in person, and kept in contact by phone in case they ran into something they needed. They finished the job the second day and did a complete clean up. Small pieces of plastic and any small pieces of metal were picked up by a magnetic roller. The crew went around house several times. Later I noticed a small detail they had done. The old flashing around chimney had been a sort if stainless steel color and stood out against brick. I noticed now it was a dark brown that blended more with brick. A detailed I had not discussed but crew or owner knew to do.I can not say enough wonderful things about Best Roofing. Mr. Harrelson and crew were outstanding, detailed, and extremely patient with me.     After talking with and getting estimates from 5 roofers, Don, the owner of Best Roofing of VA, stood out from all the rest. Right from the beginning his main concern was what I wanted done. He explained EVERYTHING I asked in detail and gave me the resources I needed to verify and educate myself about shingles, etc. He not once tried to sell me on the most expensive or the latest must have. He showed all options and once I told him what I liked and wanted, he made it happen. I appreciated the no haggle type meeting, only honesty and to the point. Don is a very sincere person and a very upfront business man.This is why we chose his company. His cost was very reasonable especially when compared to the others who wanted to charge double for the same material! We bought the Platinum Warranty and the Natural Shadow GAF shingles and ridge vents. The men came ON TIME! They did so much on my very steep and high roof and worked very hard all day. They finished in one day then came back the next morning to make sure they had cleaned up perfectly. The men asked me if I was satisfied and made sure I was happy before leaving. Very thoughtful staff. Don made sure to come by and do a final QA walk through to make sure all was well. He answered all questions and made sure we understood the warranty and maintenance steps for the future. A few hours later her called me to give me the warranty number for my roof and reminded me of what to do after a storm and to call him if I need anything or have questions. He truly has made every attempt to have a satisfied customer and he succeeded with flying colors. Best Roofing now has a loyal customer :) . I know my review may sound overly satisfied, but we truly did have a wonderful and very welcomed experience! After the stress of buying a new home then a month later needing to get a roof, it was nice getting good service. My roof looks A+mazing !

    I chose these guys even though they were a little higher than another company because of the reviews they have on Google - and now I know why! These guys are the hardest working crew Ive ever seen, working until 9:00 pm and here bright and early in the morning. The crew is professional, and they kept the work area very clean. When a solar vent didnt work, Ty contacted me consistently until the problem was solved. He genuinely cares about his customers and want to ensure that they leave a job with a happy customer. And they definitely did with me. Id recommend Ty and his crew to anyone - strong work ethic, honest and fair.

    Ty and his crew responded very quickly and effectively to my request. On Monday night, I noticed a leak in my ceiling as a result of a corroded pipe collar on my roof. I called on Tuesday and on Wednesday by lunch time, the leak was fixed. All of the pipe collars on my roof were replaced. They also preferred not to be paid until their work was done. This is a great company and I strongly recommend them.

    I had a roof leak and the Project Manager Ty Cox patiently traced the root source of my problem. He even took the time to rule out any interior plumbing leaks before working on my roof.     We were kept informed on date/time of installation, when materials would be delivered and how the repairs and new roof were coming along. Everyone working on it were very knowledgeable about their job and friendly when asked questions. Clean up was quick and thorough. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone.

    Communication with the manager Thanh was great. Their guys were professionals. They covered the whole area of my house with tarp to catch all debris from the roof. my roof looks beautiful, and the price is waaaaay much better than any other competitor in my area

    This is the second roof that Ive had installed by Best Roofing of Virginia.On the first roof I dealt with Don Harrelson. When we discovered that we had a sever lek problem on a newly acquired townhouse I immediately called Don. He was going out of town and told me that he would have Ty Cox get in touch with me. Ty Cox got in touch with me shortly thereafter and within a week I had a new roof on my townhouse. Both Don and Ty are the ultimate professionals when it comes to roofing. Everything is explained in detail and they dont try to sell you more then you need. Its a pleasure dealing with them. Needless to say my roof was professionally installed by a professional crew.
