I was referred to No Shorts Electric by the contractor who will install my ductless unit. The entire process, from start to finish, was excellent. Mike provided a quote promptly and at a reasonable price. They also helped with filing the permit paperwork in my town. The installation coordinator, Rachel, communicated throughout the process and was extremely helpful. My job was scheduled for the middle of the day, but I got a call from Dominick asking if it would be okay if they came by earlier, to which I consented. He gave me an overview of what the work would entail and left it in the capable hands of Dan and Orion, who did an excellent job installing the quick disconnect for the ductless unit. The job required cutting into the walls to fish an old electrical 240-volt line and route it to the exterior side of the wall. They did an excellent job and put back the drywall they cut out, which is the homeowners responsibility, and I appreciated their attention to care. They covered the floors and did a super clean-up job, too. I am incredibly pleased with the experience and service and highly recommend them.

We were experiencing all the effects of an old electrical system - namely flickering lights, breakers tripping, and panel corrosion due to water seeping in through old wiring. No shorts electric was straightforward and thorough during the initial assessment. They concluded we would need a new panel and outdoor meter with a service mast installation. On the date of the install, Mike, Dominick, and Alex worked quickly and efficiently while providing us with continuous updates throughout. Less than a week after the free estimate, the job is complete and we havent experienced any issues since. ABSOLUTELY EXCELLENT SERVICE!!!!.... Dominick and his crew were nothing but PROFESSIONALS. These fellas were hired to replace and upgrade our panel along with restoring functionality to 2 kitchens by installing separate circuits to each outlet in both kitchens. They also installed separate circuits and outlets to 4 A/C units in four separate rooms. We have a 2 family Victorian out in Freeport NY and the knowledge these gentleman had about our home and how it was built allowed them to route these new individual circuits to the kitchens and A/C units seamlessly through out the BALLOON FRAME our home was built on back in 1903!!!!These fellas also an outdoor GFI outlet along with installing an outdoor motion censored light out in our backyard. We had 7 separate estimates done from different companies and ABSOLUTELY NOBODY beat their price!!!!Overall these fellas were professional, extremely affordable, efficient and left the place looking clean!!!!Freeport Electric came in today and inspected the work as required and had nothing but complements for this company, the inspector already knew and acknowledged their work which made us even more comfortable with our decision on hiring this company.We 100% recommend NO SHORTS ELECTRIC INC. for any electric work needed, we will be using these fellas again for sure for our future plans with our home. My A/C man replaced my entire 2-zone central A/C system a few days ago. After that was done, No Shorts Electric came in to connect the electric wiring. Then my A/C man came in to turn the system on but only one zone worked. My A/C man told me that No Shorts Electric neglected to wire one zone (the one for the bedrooms) and it was uncomfortably hot at that time. I called up No Shorts Electric and told them that my A/C man said the they neglected to finish the job. A crew from No Shorts Electric came back the following morning and they promptly fixed the problem, which arose from a misunderstanding between my A/C man and No Shorts Electric. No Shorts Electric assured me that the problem would be fixed to my full satisfaction. Let me tell you, No Shorts Electric is a very honorable company, which stands behind its services. Its very rare to see such an honorable and customer-oriented company. I highly recommend this electrician and I wouldnt hesitate to use them for any future electrical projects in my house.PS: No Shorts Electric is very fairly priced.

I had a couple of bedroom outlets not working, with some outlets on the same circuit still working, and so I figured that there was some loose wiring somewhere. Went with No Shorts mainly because they were local and had a lot of good reviews. My technician was Ivan who was on time to the appointment. Ivan spent about an hour troubleshooting, couldn’t find the issue, but was very professional and courteous. So he suggested to re-energize the dead outlets by tapping off a working outlet on the same circuit. I asked how much it would be to just add a new circuit just for the dead outlets. It took a while, but Dominick called me to provide me with the two options and costs and explained everything thoroughly. Ended up going with the lower cost quicker option. Ivan finished the job in about 2 hrs, cleaned up well, and even put back my electrical panel cover (I had pulled it off a couple of days ago). Overall I was pleased with the service and Ivan was awesome. A couple of things that made me rate 4 instead of 5 stars is that I think the pricing was a bit on the higher side, but on top of that I was a bit surprised that I was still charged for the initial troubleshooting hour in addition to the actual repair. At least other services I’ve used in the past, the “diagnostic” fee was waived if I went through with the actual repair. Also, it took a while, like about 15-20 mins for me to be called and presented with my options and costs after the initial troubleshooting.

I contacted No Shorts Electric and luckily, Dominic had some available time and came the day of my closing as I got the keys to the home. Ivan, the scheduled electrician, came to my home promptly and proceeded to install a 20 amp and a 30 amp line from the circuit panel in the basement. (NO SHORTS had previously been in touch with the air conditioning installation company to make sure they knew EXACTLY what had to be done to prepare for the AC install.) They are professional from the outset, the process is clear, efficient and expedient and prices fair.I dealt with Dominick in scheduling both the estimate and installation appointments, Michael on the walkthrough/estimate and Luis on the installation itself.I had a couple of standard light fixtures swapped out with ones we had purchased- a chandelier in the dining room and a ceiling fan in the den/basement- and several dimmer switches added.Luis was very courteous and polite, and made short work of assembling and installing the new fixtures. He also took the time to break down the boxes and packing materials and neatly stack them in the garage for disposal. After everything was said and done you wouldnt have known anyone was there if not for the new chandelier looming over the dining room table.Thank you to Dominick, Michael and Luis...well definitely be back with any future electrical needs.

Had an awesome experience! Very professional! The father son team is great! We had the father upgrade our service. We were having solar panels installed and after inspection we were told we needed our service upgraded to accomodate the system. We called no shorts and they scheduled us asap and upgraded us as needed. We liked the work done so well we called them back and this time had the son who installed a enclosed ceiling fan in our daughters room because they have bunkbeds. It allowed for the air to circulate and still have the kids safe. The kids even enjoyed watching him install it for them which the son enjoyed showing them. He told my littlest one when he gets older he could work for him :) My son just smiled at him. This is for sure my go to electrician

Dominick, heir apparent to his dad’s electric business, came, looked over the expected wiring needs for our hybrid/electric car outlet in the garage. Came back with a written electronic proposal a day or two later. What set his proposal apart from the other 5 or 6, mostly verbal offers that I’ve received so far, is the clarity. I could understand it well enough to point out that it seems to be missing one socket that we talked about, and he immediately anted up at no additional charge. Once we scheduled the installation, he came with his team and finished a nice and clean job, including some last minute extra work that I’ve requested, in only about 3-4 hours instead of the 1 or 2 days that I was told by some others. I’m very glad that I waited long enough to find the right man for the job, and would highly recommend, Dominick and his No Shorts team, to my friends and neighbors. This is an impeccable team that does excellent electrical work that is professional & honest, fairly priced, on time, responsive. A tree branch incident brought to light that my electrical cables and meter pan outside (the portion that the electrical company does not take care of) were old, frayed, and damaged. I upgraded the outdoor electrical service (cables, meter pan, etc), increased to 200amp, installed an outdoor outlet. Michael (owner), Dominic (son), Luis (electrican), and team were super nice, on time, respectful, no bs, and competed the job quickly and professionally. They explained before and after what was done, and told me to call them if I ever have any issues with the work (they put a lot of pride in their work). Theyre compliant with pseg regulations and conduct a third party inspection, which is sent to PSEG. I’ve called other electricians and the price they quoted me wasn’t out of ballpark (in-line or lower), but the service was wayyy better than I had expected. I fully trust this team and that’s a lot to say for me.
