Great electricians. They have put a generator in for me, added another electrical panel, installed a Tesla charger and several chandeliers. Everything has been installed properly and I LOVE my new lights. Show stopper material. I’ve had the owner out and CJ (plus a New guy today) I am very cautious about who I leave in my home when I’m not here and I felt no hesitation in running to Home Depot for a few things. I bought all of these chandeliers and then didn’t think about buying lightbulbs lol. They’ll be my go to moving forward for any electrical work moving forward.

Super professional. Needed a hot tub hook up only to find my panel interior was rusted away and in a dangerous condition. Water getting in for years apparently. They swapped out the panel and made it look incredible. The new outside entrance not only looks great, it looks commercial. In comparison to what was there, this looks awesome and water tight. It really looks like something you would see on a commercial building. After seeing the inside of the old panel, I was seriously concerned for the safety of my family and home. We are all electric where we live, so alot of power goes through this panel. The satisfying sense of safety i now have is worth every penny of this upgrade, which was also very reasonably priced. They were the middle of 3 quotes we got and CJ sold us. By far the most knowledgeable of the 3 we spoke to. Super happy with everything. Highly recommend.

I cannot recommend this electrician enough. I needed some help with the power line going to my 3D printing business in my basement last year. It seemed as though I was pulling too many amps, but it had been fine for a year or so up to this point. The electrician answered all my questions, provided a very reasonable quote, and did a phoenominal job running a new 20 amp line to my basement. This year I thought I was having issues with my breaker again on the new line, they came out and checked it for me free of charge and let me know that its likely one of my UPS devices.This is a fantastic small business, and I will continue to go to them for electrical assistance and jobs around the house.

They did good work. Nice professional and polite. Put in 3 GFI outlets- two were run off of the breaker box. 1 was run just from a nearby light switch. They took 3.5 hours. They cleaned up well and left very little damage to dry wall. They were very communicative and on time. However thought cost was a little pricy. $1186. But i dont know what electrical work costs these days everything seems so expensive to have any work done.

CJ, owner of Hogue Electric, checked all the boxes with regards to timeliness, professionalism, communication, quality of work, attention to detail, and expertise. He was also very personable. He installed 14 recessed lights which came out perfect, upgraded 2 prong outlets to 3 prong, resolved a few other issues, and ensured everything was up to code. Our house needed major renovations stemming from a damaged foundation and our whole house generator had been disconnected for that project. It was also overdue for its routine service and would not restart after it was reconnected following the repairs of the house. Hogue showed up, had it fixed literally in minutes, took care of issues that the electricians who reconnected it did incorrectly, and treated us fairly on the price. Would truly recommend again.

Wow, these guys are great! Chris and his team were such hard workers. Professional, courteous, fast and knowledgeable. We hired them to replace and install about a dozen new light fixtures including foyer and dining chandeliers, bedroom sconces, and vanity lights. They also replaced eight fluorescent light fixtures with up-to-date can lights. Chris has an incredible attention to detail. He was thorough and patient in discussing our fixture placement. Because they worked so quickly and efficiently, he was also, on the fly, able to install a new doorbell and fan light that wasn’t on the original work order. I already have a new list of items for them to work on and look forward to having them return. I couldn’t be happier with Hogue Electric and am glad we found them!

Just updated this today, June, 2024. October was the second time I had Hogue do electrical work at my house, which was built in 1920. This time, CJ installed several outlets inside and out, replaced an old outdoor fixture, and added a surge protector that will protect the entire house, including the circuit breaker. I like that he takes time to answer my questions and explains what hes done. He worked quietly and thoroughly cleaned up all the mess that drilling into drywall and brick created.Today is the third time Hogue has done electrical work on the house. CJ and Alex replaced 2 ceiling fans, installed a third, and replaced all the outlets and switches in the upstairs. I was shocked (figuratively) when CJ pointed out an old knob and tube wire in the attic thats still carrying live current. The wiring had been replaced over 40 years ago and I had no idea any of the old wiring was still connected to the breaker box. Thats next on the list to have fixed.

Chris did an excellent job, and I would recommend his company to anybody! I called on a Tuesday and Chris was able to come that same week on Thursday. He did an on-site consultation and completed the entire job the following Friday. I needed 3 ceiling fans, several light fixtures, an outdoor light, a light switch, and an exhaust fan - all needing to be replaced and installed. Chris showed up on time, wearing a mask, and worked diligently with attention to detail. He happily answered any questions I had and was always willing to explain any process to me. He cleaned up after himself and even wore plastic booties over his shoes so as to not track any dirt on the inside. He was very kind, professional, courteous, and did not overcharge for his services. I have used Hogue twice in the past with excellent results. He installed the electrical hookup for our hot tub as well as electrical for our pool house. They are always very professional with their communication and work which makes the projects they do go very smoothly. We used another electrical contractor for our pool equipment installation and it was a nightmare to get ahold of them and we still ant get ahold of them a year later to fix an issue with our automated pool controls that they installed. Wish we would have went with Hogue for that project as well.

Let me put it this way; if one of my siblings became an electrician, I would still use Chris Hogue. (Disclaimer if my sibling is reading this: I still love you, but I trust Chris more than you.)We had a leg of our electric go out on 6/11/22. We received our first quote from Gillece because they were 24 hours and we were desperate. Their quote was astronomically high. Our saving grace was that we still had one leg of electric (to our fridge/oven/certain lights) so we did not have to rush into a contract. Thank God for this. We reached out to a number of other electricians and received a number of other quotes. Chris came out first thing Monday morning to take a look. He described to me, very clearly, what needed done and what it would cost. His quote was THOUSANDS lower than what we were hearing from everyone else.Not only was Chris affordable, he was personable and sympathetic as well. He communicated to us that he would complete the repair on either 6/17 or 6/20, it just depended on when Duquesne Light could come out. Unfortunately, DLC could not come until 6/21. But we were comforted in knowing that Chris fought for us every step of the way.On the day of the repair, 6/21, Chris arrived promptly on time and got right to work. DLC was late in showing up to turn off the utility to our house, so that put Chris behind a bit. Chris then hit a few other snafus with our yard through no fault of his own. He made us aware, gave us options, and promptly called his guy, Art, to excavate the underground boulders in our yard. Chris (and Art) worked TIRELESSLY in the sweltering heat to ensure we would have power restored.Chris even went so far as to stay two hours after his work was finished while we waited for DLC to come turn the utility back on. When it was nearing 7:30 PM, Chris went out to his truck to call DLC to see what was going on. DLC told Chris they were not coming out. I was fuming. We had been without power (and AC during the hottest week) for ten days. All we needed was for DLC to take twenty minutes to restore our utility - which is what they agreed to when we scheduled this repair. Chris fought for us, calling them twice and calling the inspector to see what could be done. Chris genuinely cares about his clients and goes above and beyond.We will exclusively be using Chris for all future electric work and I will gladly refer him to anybody and everybody in need of electric repairs/installations.

Tackled multiple problems: removed an old fuse box, rearranged a grounding error from the past, rewired my garage to code (which my handy work was not!) removed a 220 line that was old and not necessary. He added a surge protector on the master fuse box. The list goes on. He was very knowledgeable of codes. Also a nice guy. Would certainly recommend.
